High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

Wow!! Absolutely outstanding. Walking-no- rolling, myself away from Burton's stuffed and happy. The quality of the food was top notch, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service was amazing, so attentive and friendly, an overall great experience. We began the meal with spicy calamari, buffalo dip, and a caesar salad. All were very well executed and great sharing portions (split between 3). For an entree I had the steak and Parmesan fries- whatever you order you must get the Parmesan fries!! Crispy, cheesy, rosemary, I could have eaten these and the calamari for a meal. The crab cakes are also another great choice- buttery and loaded with crab. But if you want to keep it simple look no further than the burger, juicy, hot, and perfect. Finished with the chocolate torte, which was super rich and served with ice cream and raspberry syrup. I don't think I can put words to how tasty everything was. Really high quality food matched by high quality service. I can't wait to return to Burton's and try out the other delicious options on the menu.. With a side of parm fries! :)

Food was decent - I appreciated the vegetarian menu but the vegetable romesco sounded better on the menu than it tasted. My family all enjoyed their meat dishes. Staff was really nice but the wait time for food seemed quite long.

We eat out probably more then we should and Burtons is always where I want to go. Great waitstaff , and they go above and beyond for our daughters gluten issue. My only request would be is to always have a pasta on the menu. I love the wild mushroom ravioli but not sure when it comes and goes. *my wife informed me there is usually a pasta dish on the menu, just not one I would order. I also loved their ribs but I don't think it's come back again. Everything is outstanding though. We eat there often.

I normally have a great experience at Burton's, although their menu is never changing and not creative. It was busy when we arrived close to 8:30 pm. We got a nice table in the bar area but the service was not conducive to a nice meal at all. Tonight was not a great experience to say the least. They have weekly salad specials as well as a fish special. No mention of anything from our server. We were not offered bread but had to ask. We ordered salads and wine and the wine took so long to come out that we were halfway through the salads. Our server was "MIA" for part of the time so one of her co-workers brought our wine and the bread. (Please note by this time the restaurant was NOT busy.) We ordered entrees and I ordered one more glass of wine to accompany my entree. Our server disappeared to the point that I didn't want the wine anymore. I saw it up on the bar and retrieved it myself. There were NO OTHER DINERS in the indoor restaurant at this point. My companion had a pork dish and the "garlicky bok choy" was lousy and army green. My fish dish was fine, but the "seasonal" vegetables tonight were green beans or carrots. REALLY? In July in New England? This is a scratch kitchen? Very disappointing and to spend a chunk over $100 before tip for this food and service? No offer to compensate anything when I mentioned how spotty the service was. A good restaurant would do something so you would leave happy but at 10:15 pm they all were focused on packing up and going home.

Pros: Customer focused waitstaff, excellent food, nice twist on old standbys, warm, polished decor. Cons: Pricey, busy at peak mealtimes We went Valentines Day, without reservations, for drinks and appetizers. We arrived at 4, well ahead of the Friday night crowd, and had our choice of seating. We chose the bar, about 3/4 full, and were promptly and pleasantly attended to. We ordered soup, calamari, Cesar salad, beet salad, and a burger, splitting the burger and sharing the rest. Not only did Heidi offer to split-plate the burger and salads, she helped us get our burger option - a custom blue cheese and mushroom not on the menu. The risk of ordering this smattering of small dishes, shared, is that you get haphazardly brought food before you're ready, and in whatever sequence it pops out. So it's a good test of the attentiveness and control of the waitstaff. Our experience was splendid. We ate at our relaxed pace, enjoying Burton's excellent food, chatting with each other and new friends at the bar. Heidi watched, and timed each dish wonderfully, right to the end. Very well done, a 5 star. About the food - try the Beet Salad. It's a wonderful (and generous) change from the usual, beautifully presented. By the time we left at 6:30, the line was out the door, so do call ahead during peak hours. I'd easily give Burton's 5 stars overall but for the prices. Our drinks and appetizers/burger escapade was $150, inc 20% tip. A wonderful Valentine's experience yes, but overly painful on the wallet.

Great lunch at Burton's on Saturday. We came in telling the hostess that we only had about 40minutes, before we had to leave for our appointment. - Great quick service - Love the kids' menu: --- great size hamburgers (and they provide shredded lettuce and tomato) --- my son enjoyed having the side of butter pasta option --- they served a cup of ice cream (chocolate) instead of frozen yogurt, and gave my son one also (even though he chose to add cheese to his hamburger) --- my husband's fish sandwich was just fabulous --- nice to try the Philly cheesesteak egg roll: great real pieces of cut-up steak and love the onion strings, but will be trying something else: the beet salad sounds great. - they charged $8.50 per kid's meal, even though the menu showed $7, but they corrected it after we pointed it out. Definitely would be back.

Yet another myeh, disappointing experience at a chain restaurant. This trend of average pretending to be good is absolutely frustrating. We could have made every dish (tuna app, salad, ribeye steak, steak sandwich) better at home by ourselves. I'm thoroughly convinced I should just pony up the extra 70 - 100 bucks and dine at Bondir or 80 Thoreau in Concord. At least you get the experience you pay for.

Surprisingly sophisticated interior. This is the new place in town to be seen. Attentive, professional waitstaff and barstaff. Good for large groups and corporate lunch and dinners.

Great atmosphere, love the open kitchen. Always friendly staff and fresh food. I can't say enough about how fantastic the sesame crusted tuna appetizer is. If you didn't try it yet, go now! Amazing fresh flavor and silky texture. I thought I was eating a filet!

This place was delicious, I can honestly say one of the greatest meals I've ever had. My family and I started with the buffalo chicken dip which was great, not to spicy, made with real chicken and big enough for 3 people. Then I had the New England Clam Chowder and it was great. I've never had chowder before so I can't compare it to anything but it definitely set my expectations high. Then I had the Salmon Romesco and it was out of this world, the Salmon was cooked perfectly and the Romesco sauce it was in was the best thing ever. The potatoes and green beans it came with were also both perfect. All around a great meal. My mom had the shrimp Feta Pasta and I tried that and wished I had ordered that too because it was equally as great. And for dessert me and my brother split the brownie sundae which had scrumptious ice cream topped with hot fudge and bits of a heath bar. Overall the best meal in a long time definetly recommend the Salmon Romesco and the Shrimp Feta Pasta.

Food was above average, however service was not. Not very personable and did not make us feel welcome at all. Will give it another try, I'm hoping it was just a one time occurrence.

We had a business dinner/function at Burton's with about 20 people and I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and how well organized everything was... The food choices are great and they do cater well for veggies, pescies and meat eaters alike :-) We had a bunch of different appetizers and mains and everyone was very happy... No issues at all and would definitely recommend...and will be coming back!

The food and ambience are under priced! We chose mussels and a burger with Bleu cheese. Meal enough for two people for under $30?! Amazing! The flavor was incredible and the ambience was very good. Our server wasn't fantastic... very brusque, but she got the job done. Everything else, perfect. Compliments to the chef: I'd come back from California anytime!

Good steak, side dishes made to order (pasta too) and freshly made drinks. Good service a little pricey but worth it. Salads are good too if you want a lighter fare.

I went here for dinner this past Friday night and it was less than impressive to say the least. My dining companion ordered a steak only to find out they had neither mashed potatoes nor baked potatoes to accompany the steak. I've never heard of a restaurant which features steak prominently on the menu not having either mashed potato or baked potatoes?? But ok.... I asked for a simple salad plate of Romaine lettuce. What I received was yellow and white wilted pieces of the core (no green) which was virtually inedible-see picture uploaded. I would never have let that out of the kitchen if I was the chef-it was actually an embarrassment. My cod fish was served raw in the center. I had to send it back to get it re-cooked, while my dining companion finished his steak and fries. Rather than giving me a new piece of fish they sent back the same piece of fish with breadcrumbs on top (ok I'll deal). Giving one star for the way that the kind manager handled the fish debacle - he took the codfish off the bill (which was absolutely appropriate and appreciated given the fact that I was now eating by myself at this point). Overall the food quality and multiple missteps doesn't justify the prices.

The food was wonderful but the service was not. We were celebrating a birthday and the dinner was a surprise party. The servers weren't welcoming and had little personality. They would disappear for 10-15 min chunks all throughout our meal and we all felt that service was very drawn out. The breaking point for us was when the bill was presented. At the start of the meal when they were taking a drink order we inquired about the possibility of split or grouped checks (so 16 of us didn't have to spend half an hour figuring out math at the end). The server looked beyond irritated but said if we promised not to switch seats he could do it. We kept our end of the deal but then one bill got presented to one end of the table, our end didn't even see it happened. The server then disappeared. When he came back 20 min later we asked for our check and he replied that someone said one was fine so he went with that; I replied that we wanted at least ours separate because we had to go (we'd been there for 3 hours at this Point) which is why I asked for it in the first place. He begrudgingly went to split it and when he came back he had written what he expected for a gratuity at the bottom of the bill with a new total below that. If this restaurant adds grat for big tops, by all means do so, but you may not hand write it in without even saying anything, insulting! The other check for the other 12 people had the same thing. As if we didn't know how to calculate 20%.

This is always a good experience. However after a recent visit I gained a whole new respect for their customer service. My wife and I are vegetarian. We informed the waitress that Parmesan is not a vegetarian food (I'm not talking about vegan which would be all dairy). Parmesan uses rennet which is found in mammals, usually cows, stomachs. I sent a quick email to the customer service email address and got a reply within a couple of hours stating that they were not aware of Parmesans rennet and that they have already contacted a supplier for a rennet free cheese. Did I mention this was on a Sunday? Amazing. I am so impressed and my meat eating friends are also. Visit this establishment often.

The food here is really fantastic and the prices definitely reflect that. I love that there's a vegetarian menu for people of that flavor. The atmosphere is definitely upscale chic and you can see the kitchen from your table. It's all white and stainless steel, bustling with sous chefs pushing everyone's food out. I believe they source locally and I'll always appreciate that (even if I don't appreciate the prices). Overall though, a really solid restaurant to go to if you're feeling a little fancy but don't feel like putting on your tux.

6 adults with only 12 drinks total with a visit that was more than 5 hours long with 6 appetizers shared and A LOT of water between each drink and the bar tended refused to serve the two adults that were not driving a third drink!! We spent over $300 and honestly being a bar tender in the past my self I understand laws and liability when serving alcohol but when responsible adults are being responsible you should treat them as such! I am only giving one star because the risotto fritters, which we had 3 orders of, were good.

I'm disappointed every time I go here. In the latest episode we had raw steak and very overdone swordfish

Simply put, this place is overpriced. Yes, the service is good and the quality of the food is what I would consider slightly above average for the chain restaurants in the immediate vicinity, but the price for the dinner entrees is not commensurate. You can definitely find the same or better quality at a more reasonable price if you are willing to travel a town or two away to any number of upscale restaurants (apologies to any yet to be discovered local upscale restaurants). From the positive reviews I suppose there are people willing to pay the inflated premium and rave about this place, but I just don't see it. Beyond the entree prices, I felt the dinner menu was a bit sparse in its traditional grill offerings. I can't speak to the gluten free and vegetarian menus that many people seem to highlight as I find gluten and meat delicious, although I do appreciate a good mixed green salad. Of course once you add a salad to your meal you have nearly assured it will exceed $30. While not unreasonable for upscale dinning, again I don't feel the product deserved the pricing. One saving grace was that the waiter, upon being asked about the salad portions and if they had a smaller side portion, indicated that the salads were large but offered to split one between two people with no split plate feet. We did not go this route given our party's varied salad preferences, but it was nice to be given the option and again speaks to the service aspect. As to the service that I praised, there was one minor exception. On one visit we arrived during a lull when the place had only one other table occupied. While the place was seemingly quiet we found the hostesses confused about where to seat us. I don't know what they were mulling over but it took more than a minute for the two hostesses to decide on a booth (per our request). The atmosphere is another issue. With a large open kitchen, a feature I usually appreciate in a given setup, our quiet visit was frequently interrupted by the kitchen staff shouting commands, orders, and comments back and forth as if they were attempting to communicate over the din of a packed stadium. Mind you, we were sat clear across the room on the opposite side from the kitchen and could still hear every word loud and clear. On another visit we arrived during a busy evening rush and found the place to be very loud. Given the premium price I would expect them to have paid more attention to acoustic design. Also, even though it's located in a relatively new shopping plaza the parking is limited, especially during peak hours. For a suburban area with little public transit this can be a major issue. Oh well, you apparently can't have it all at Burtons even though they charge you for it. Maybe Burtons fills a specific niche that I'm overlooking, but this place won't be on any of my lists, short or long, going forward.

Great gluten free and allergy friendly restaurant. Pros: Most of the menu items are alreay gluten free so there's less risk of cross contamination with gluten during the prep/cooking process. They have a gluten free hard cider, and many desserts to choose from. Cons: The gluten free rolls are little to be desired, and can be very dry. Always packed and hard to get reservations during the weekend. My daughter has a peanut/tree nut allergy and they do a great job in making sure her entire meal safe for her. A manager always brings over both mine and her meals. Would love to see better bread for a gluten free option.

Burtons Grill is a good addition to this neighborhood. A convenient location with lots to offer including Gluten free and vegetarian food. Fire pit and the patio attract plenty of people and if the weather is good then you may wanna sit outside and enjoy nice food. I have tried Calamari and buffalo chicken dip in the appetizer which were good. In the Entrees, I absolutely love the New York Strip and Mediterranean Chicken. Important thing is the staff, hosts are friendly, servers are knowledgeable, and the chefs are able to make minor changes to the food if you request. On new year's eve and on Valentine's day, i saw people standing in the lines, waiting to get in there so making a reservation may a better idea. Definitely, a good Restaurant with over all 5-stars and I highly recommend it.

We came to this place on Monday night and were surprised how busy this place was considering it was Monday. However, we were seated promptly and our waitress was great. The wait for for the food was average and the quality was pretty good. I had crab cakes and my husband had fillet Mignon which was made exactly to his request. We will be back!

We did sort of a "family reunion of the women" here while I was visiting the Boston area for a family wedding. There were 14 of us, 8 adults and six teenage girls. First the pros: -The waitstaff were excellent -The french fries are handcut and just delicious -The lobster risotto was phenomenal, and a real treat for this former Bostonian-relocated-to-the-West-Coast -Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meals as well. My daughter said the steak was fantastic The one downside and the reason that I am only giving 3 stars instead of the 4 that I would have given based upon the service and food alone, is that it took FOREVER for us to get our main courses. It was odd, because the appetizers that we ordered for the table came right out, but then we sat and waited a very long time for our meals. I feel that a restaurant in this price range should have at least comp'ed us the appetizers for such an error. We spent over $600 including tip for 14 people. Otherwise, though, it's a great and fun place, and I wouldn't hesitate to return if in the area again.

I'm not sure why this place is rated so highly. Its a two and a half...three at the most. The food is average at best but when you factor in the high prices...it drops to below average. Maybe its rated highly because there aren't a lot of options in the area or maybe because its better than your average chain restaurant like Applebee's or the 99 but not much. Sorry to be so harsh but I really dont understand what it is that people like about this place.

Have been to the Westford Burtons many times and always had a good experience. Food is well prepared and service is generally very good. Visited over Memorial Day weekend with my wife and son. Sat in the bar area this time. We had the Firecracker shrimp as an appetizer which was delicious! Then waited almost an hour for our meal. The waitress was not as attentive to this delay as I would have liked. I finally asked if she could check on our meal and bring us some bread in the meantime, which she did. In the end, the food arrived and was delicious.... We had the catch of the day risotto (mahi-mahi), the wedge salad, and steak and cheese spring rolls... All really good. The manager came over and apologized for the delay with our order and said it was totally unacceptable..... And therefore HE was picking up our entire tab for the evening! This was great service recovery!!! I will go back because the food is very good, they understand the value of customer service, and they stock blue cheese stuffed olives for my martini!!

Called 6:30 on a Saturday night for call-ahead seating. I explained we'd made this last-minute decision and did they have any availability. "Yes." and was told 7:15. Great, so I described the party of 5 including an elderly person with a walker. "No problem." (A table, please, not a booth.) We arrived about 5 minutes early with our party of 5. The table was not available, now my elderly relative had to find a place to sit, the only bench had two sprawling people already residing there. A man in our party found a chair and pulled it up for my elderly relative (Shouldn't the staff be doing this?). THEN WE WAITED 30 MINUTES FOR A TABLE. I would have preferred the truth, not a flim-flam. Shame on you!

Trying Burton's Grill in Westford for the first time. Waiting 45 minutes now still with no food. Was really hoping for better. The wait is for burgers and kid's chicken meal. Really? Food was not that good either. They ended up giving us a free dessert for our troubles. In all honesty, we wish we didn't stay for the dessert. It just prolonged things even further because it took them a while to even bring the dessert.

Great fresh food. Risotto fritters (appetizers) were a hit! Crab cakes were tasty and very rich. Most dinner entrees are in the $20-30 range and the atmosphere is primarily business casual. The staff was friendly but not super helpful at recommending drinks or entrees. Overall a very good experience. I would eat here again.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try as we were excited to potentially have found a local place that we'd consider to be like a 111 Chop House, Fleming's and the like that we normally go to in Worcester or Boston. Nope Now, let me start by saying that I do "like" this place. It's a nice little addition to the area and the atmosphere & decor are great (upscale, nice waitstaff, good looking bar and even a nice outdoor seating lounge with a fire pit). All in all it really "looks" like it could be a fantastic place to go have a nice upscale dinner with your spouse, colleagues, clients, etc. The service is good, not great, not bad....it's good. But the food is the primary shortfall. What they serve does not warrant the prices they ask, not even close. We ordered: Baked Stuffed Zucchini - app Philly Spring Rolls - app Haddock/Cod Imperial - dinner (wife) Filet w/Scallops I also ordered a glass of red wine. I traditionally pick my own however we were in new place so I asked to speak w/the Sommelier (they don't have one). I then asked for a glass of what was drinking well and gave our waitress 3 categories to choose from. What came to me was again, not great, not bad....it was, good. Now onto the food: The appetizers were very good. I highly recommend both the ones we ordered as we thoroughly enjoyed them. We also were given bread and butter which was enjoyable as well (I know it's a small thing but worth mentioning as it was good). The entree's however fell short, heavily. My wife's fish was "fishy" and haddock/cod should not be at this level. Everyone that lives here in MA knows what it should taste like and it didn't. But the big let down was my own dish. It was supposed to be a filet mignon (med-rare) with scallops. The scallops were good...again, not bad, not great....good. They were slightly over cooked but had good flavor and I enjoyed them. I'm focusing on the scallops as my filet was a disaster. It came out and was about as thin as a frozen hamburger, and cooked through so that it was well done. Add to it that it was so small that I asked our server if it was really a filet or did they confuse it with something else. She told me it was, in fact, their filet but would take it back if I wanted (yes, I do). It's cooked incorrectly and NOT a filet (it was closer to a thin NY strip that was cut out into a small circle shape). They did take it back and the manager even came by to apologize which is fine but in the end, I finished my scallops, vegetables and glass of wine. My wife stopped eating (didn't finish her fish). I had another piece of bread....and then my new filet showed up. It was better, but again....not great, not bad.....just good (ok). I would not order it again is the bottom line. All in all I do like the atmosphere and potential of this place. They just need to either step up their food quality or lower their prices by about 35% to even things out. Would we go back? Maybe, but not for dinner and there are other choices we could go to and get what we expect. If we did go back, it would be for drinks and an app maybe but that's about it, then we'd go elsewhere for dinner.

Food rocked, our waiter was awesome. Good came out fast and good. Great wine list, I enjoyed my birthday dinned and will come back.

Nice atmosphere with an open kitchen. Great drinks and a wide selection of gluten free options. Our server was great and took great care of us. I have been here twice now and had the same experience both times. Once was with the kids and the menu to choose from for their meals is nicely varied. I would expect Burton's to become one of our go to dinner spots.

Loved it! First, the kids menu. Wonderful! My kids were so happy! Finally, a kids menu that respects kids and the fact that many like fresh, healthy foods. A menu doesn't have to chock full of processed chicken fingers, mac&cheese, and pizza to make kids happy. Kids get to choose a protein (fresh chicken, burger, fish, steak), a fresh veggie, a fresh fruit, a grain (rice, pasta, fries, etc.), and a dairy. Even my 11yo, who hates "traditional" kids menus, was quite happy. And for a very reasonable price. My mother has very restrictive food allergies (wheat, dairy, rice, corn, beans, and more) and the staff and management were very knowledgeable and accommodating to her needs. They knew all the right questions to ask and how to handle the food. And she still had a great selection of fresh, well prepared choices. Husband and I had the Philly steak spring rolls, burger, and scallops special. All excellent. Spring rolls were flavorful and perfectly crispy without being at all greasy. Burger was juicy and messy (just as a burger should be), tender and lots of flavor. Husband loved his scallops. Ended the meal with the creme brulee (surprisingly, the most lackluster part of the meal - good, but not up to par with the rest of the meal) and the chocolate lava cake, which the 11yo devoured so quickly we barely had time to taste. :-) Cozy, pleasant atmosphere. Loved the outside fire pit! Very romantic (if you can ignore that it sits next to the parking lot). Had a couple of issues with mixed up orders for the kids, but they were straightened out quickly and easily. Staff was quite attentive without being overly so. This was our first visit, but I have no doubt that we will be back regularly either for dine-in or take-out. And it will probably become our go-to place for taking out of town visitors.

6 adults 12 drinks over 5 hours with SEVERAL appitizers and gallons of water and the bar tender at Burtons in Westford refused to serve the two people that were not driving a desert martini???? REALLY??? Guess I won't go back there after spending hundreds of dollars in one night!!

The number one thing for me here is the scratch kitchen. Being a vegan or having a restricted diet such as gluten free Burton can pull though for you ten fold. I'm already used to having the best meals being cooked at home and always settle for lower when going out, but the chefs here go out of their way to accommodate your needs and are excited to do it. I've never had a bad experience with the wait staff who are all so knowledgable of the menu that it makes choosing a lot easier if you can't decide over their mouth watering menu. If they don't know the answer to something the chef will personally come to your table to explain which is honorable and reassuring. I frequent Burtons often and try to bring someone new with me all the time to show a guaranteed good time. Their fire pit attraction sets them apart in the industry for out door ambiance and the whole esthetic on the interior is equal to the quality of their food and service. EXCELLENT! Enjoy! -Your forever patron.

Beet salad and stuffed zucchini were awesome, as were the scallops and hamburger.. The chicken was a bit dry and overlooked. Our server (Dawn) was mediocre, perhaps she had a bad day. Four of us... two wines with the small carafes were plopped in front of my girlfriend, the beers were placed in front of our hubbies... Four glasses of water placed at one corner of the table for us to pass to each other, straws thrown in the middle of the table. There was ample room for the wait staff to walk around the entire table and place our entrees, but I guess it was easier for Dawn to abbreviate her service... Too bad as the food was good.

Been here a few times, twice for dinner, once for lunch. I liked the Cali burger and the clam chowder and no one I have been with has ever not liked what they ordered, but it is a basic upscale restaurant chain with a standard selection and nothing too spectacular. Definitely worth going to if you just want to go out, but not a place I would go for that special night.

Really great staff and lots of options for people with diet restrictions. I got the crab cake app and was very happy with the amount of acutal CRAB! Mouth watering and cooked to perfection. I sat at the bar and had great converstion with all the bar tenders. I will absolutely be back.

Easily becoming my favorite place in Westford. Lively bar area and super friendly service. Each time I've been the staff has been great. Dining area is nice, nothing super special but comfy. Food is great - everything is always well cooked (aka not over cooked) and the menu offers good selection. I can take any friend here and know they'll find something they'll like. My suggestion: order the crab cakes! Only downsides are 1) location - its in a corner lot of a strip mall. Not the best views. And 2) there's almost always a wait. Don't know if it's just because its still new in town, or if that will continue, but it makes it difficult to swing by for a quick bite. I'm not usually a big fan of chain restaurants, but this is an exception.

Visited here with work colleagues for some appetizers and drinks and even topped it off with dessert. This place sits in a busy corner shopping center in Westford and is part of a chain of several in the area. The interior is pretty cool and has a nice open bar area with a mixed crowd. It is a pretty large place and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu consists of specialities as well as local seafood entrees and several items created from their "scratch kitchen" which creates dishes to order in case of allergies etc. The appetizers were good, spinach artichoke dip and chips, calamari and zucchini wrapped mozzarella. Drinks were very tasty, Harvest sangria with apple schnapps, hard cider and chardonnay was especially good. The desserts were excellent, chocolate torte with cherries and creme carmel were delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food.

I meet here monthly with other business owner...the food and the service never fail. The Lobster Rissoto is awesome, and that is an understatement, if it is not offered for lunch, just ask they will make it for you! The blue cheese wedge sald is also amazing! Just add the chicken for a little protein and you are good to go!

First visit to the new Burton's in Westford. Overall the dining experience was average. It was nice to see a gluten-free menu, however more attention is needed to list ingredients on these menus. I finally ordered the Pacific Coast burger, which was well-cooked and tasty. Nothing spectacular mind you but good. It was comparable to the 99. The fries on the other hand were awful. I happen to be a French fry connoisseur and the fries here were overdone to the point of being burnt. Yuck!! The service was great. The ambiance relaxing.. The food average.. The menu lacking and the prices high for the quality delivered.

    (3)
  • Andrea B.

Pricey for the quality of food you get. Beet salad: no greens, huge pile of chopped beets, thin layer of goat cheese, pile of walnuts...did I mention the amount of beets? No balance. None of their salads had a protein. You had to order it separately for an additional cost above the already pricey salad. The grilled shrimp I ordered was rubbery & cold. The steak sandwich was good. My sangria...lacking alcohol.

Burtons is a from scratch kitchen using fresh ingredients. They are rightfully proud of it, and thankfully they use it well to be very accommodating for those with celiac, and/or those of us with gluten and/or other allergies/intolerances...or simply just if one has a particular food request preference. That they have a gluten free dedicated fryer, and already printed extensive menus for gluten free (and vegetarian) options attests to their commitment. They comprehend that most foods are naturally gluten free anyhow, so it's nice to eat normal meals of real food within the gluten free guidelines. And as at all Burton's, the gluten free items arrive on a different shaped plate, to help avoid any delivery mix-ups. These people are educated on, and know their food allergies/intolerances/celiac! The service has been friendly and stellar. (Will at the bar is fantastic!) The food very good, and just as the other locations. Something about this location is perhaps just a bit cozier than the multiple other area locations I've visited, although RIP Fenway. The outdoor firepit is a nice touch too. With this location closer, I've finally been enjoying making my way down more of the menu... For lunch one day I had the gluten free lightly "breaded" haddock sandwich with fries. It's a tasty and moist piece of fish topped with some of their refreshing napa cabbage cole slaw to give it a little zing. It's a real rare treat when you are gluten free and dining out to be able to order fish that is "breaded", and especially to be able to order such delicious hand cut french fries. I've found the fries sometimes vary coming out as either softer or crispy. I love the softer, but most of my friends prefer crispy. So I kind of like that it varies, since we get to alternate who gets their favorite style each time. The fried calamari with peppers is another of my favorites. Nicely done here with a touch of hot to kick them up, and a light delicate batter. Also discovered the onion strings on the gluten free menu. Not that I really want to be eating all this fried food, but man are they good! Lol! The steak sandwich has also always been a favorite too. Still so many more items to try, which I look forward to!

Truthfully, not impressed. Sat a small corner table that barely held the plates and drinks for two people. Service was mediocre. Took awhile to get a drink order, we flagged down another server as ours seemed to be missing. Meals are expensive. There are plenty of area restaurants around that offer a better offering than this chain Restaurant. I was warned in advance about the price. I was told to make sure I brought enough money. I can tell you that a $50 gift certificate is NOT going to make it here for a dinner for two!

New to the Westford area, asked around to see what was good. I was told Burton's by almost everyone. Did not disappoint! Very good food, I had a grilled salmon, rice and coleslaw. Salmon was lightly seasoned with butter and herbs, perfectly cooked and moist. Rice was clean and cooked well, coleslaw was seasoned perfectly not to sloppy, still had good snap!

Not what I was expecting. The food was great, the service was great and the place has a very nice atmosphere. We had scallops, chicken and cod. All was cooked just right and tasted great. The only disappointment was the Lava Cake desert,it had no lava. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend it.

Visiting from out of town, my daughter and I visited as part of a large group. We informed the waiter that my daughter is allergic to peanuts and the server diligently checked all ingredients of the menu items she ordered, made sure her meal was delivered on a special plate that identified her as having a food allergy. What a wonderful feeling to be able to enjoy a delicious meal out and not have to worry about cross contamination of my daughter's meal! While some restaurants act like this is a burden, our server gladly took extra special care of her order. All 8 of us in our party thoroughly enjoyed our meals!

Nice staff, good food, great atmosphere. This new establishment even has a rewards programs - sign up for it and you can earn points for free meals. I recommend their blackened salmon with Cajun seasoning over mashed potatoes with their pineapple salsa.

Friendly, accommodating staff and good food. We stopped by on a long drive to Portland. One of our family members needed to sit in a certain area of the restaurant. Even though no one else was sitting in that area, they were kind enough to serve us there. On top of it, the lunch was very good. Everyone was happy with the meal. I highly recommend the angel hair pasta with vegetables, kalamata olives, and feta cheese off the vegetarian menu.

  • Ashley K.

To all my celiac friends out there, this is one of the best places to eat in the Mass/Southern Nh area. Since everything is made in house most of the menu is already gluten free. Plus not only can you get French fries (!), they have gluten free rolls with butter and the calamari is gluten free! All of us who lust after the bread basket do not need to here. They also make their own gluten free buns! Seriously, though the prices are a bit high, it's worth it for a splurge meal when you want some food you usually cannot safely eat elsewhere.

Thought this was overall a nice restaurant. The atmosphere is upscale and clean looking and the service was fast. The bread with the pesto oil was tasty but I think the bread should be warm. I had the fish tacos which were good but not amazing. All my coworkers were happy with their meals.

First visit to any Burton's and I was impressed. The decor is great, the menu is pretty strong and the drink list is creative. Best of all they offer a great kids menu allowing you to chose a protein, vege, starch, and dairy for $6. Our 15 month old loved it. The California chicken and the haddock sandwich were both delicious. They came with some great fries as well. Our server was still a little green, and answered some basic menu questions incorrectly rather than just saying let me check, but no foul for a new restaurant. Considering the children's menu and location, this will probably our go to night out.

You can taste the freshness in the food. A great place for lunch- we were in & out in less than an hour. Ate the Greek salad, which was wonderful. You need to appreciate the authentic nature of the dish though & be prepared for mostly cucumbers & olives. If you want lettuce you'll be disappointed.

Fish tacos are out of this world, so is the California chicken sandwich. Wish they served the fish tacos for dinner! The fries are also hand-cut and completely fried to perfection. It's a bit on the pricey side (dinners with fish or steak near $30), but if you stop in for a sandwich it's at most $13. In my opinion it's worth the little extra cash. The wait can be long, but they have a firepit outside and I heard they often give young kids marshmellows to roast.

99's at 3 times the price. I have for years gone to Burton's in Andover and felt good about the restaurant. Their newest in Westford is so far below that standard it almost does not deserve a review. I have been disappointed in their bar many times and have contacted the GM and manager multiple times to tell them of my disappointment. The response by their management has been extremely diappointing and underwhelming as well. I am responsible for a corporate program that would bring this establishment thounsand of dollars in business and they still could not find the time to talk to me or my collegues about this opportunity.

WOW!!! This was awesome! Burtons has a great decor and ambiance. The kids menu for the kids is great and includes many chocies. I got a burger with fries. The burger was cooked the way I asked and the french fries were really crispy. Drinks were good as well. This has been a great edition to Westford!

Burton's - when you're looking for expensive meh. Have eaten twice at this Burtons - both meals were pretty tasty, nothing special, and crazy expensive for what you got. Both times, the waitress seemed very fake friendly with a lot of thinly veiled annoyance. You can make a reservation online! So I guess that's a plus.

I've had good experiences at the Burton's Grill in North Andover so decided to try this newer Westford outpost while out shopping with my mother. What a huge disappointment. She is on crutches and we walked in and the hostess only looked up at us after finishing her social conversation with her coworker. She then decided to bring us to the back of the restaurant until I piped up and asked if we might instead sit at one of the many empty booths that we were walking past, since it is difficult for my mother to walk. We are seated and minutes and minutes go by until we see our server. It was early -- only 5:30 on a Saturday night -- and the place was far from busy. The waitress appears, returns to give us water, then disappears again for another fifteen minutes. We finally ordered. Food appeared in a somewhat timely manner after ordering but was decidedly lackluster. Mussels, which were billed as a special app, were in a tasty wine sauce, but the mussels themselves were the smallest I've ever seen, and were overcooked and chewy. My mother's bbq chicken salad - also billed as an entree special - was sad. Small, lackluster, and thrown together. Giant pieces of dry chix breast that looked as though they had been hacked with a cleaver. Waitress never came back to check on us. Food was delivered by someone else and never saw her again either. All in all, a really pitiful dining experience. After this I'm not sure I'll be heading back to either Westford or N Andover location. So many otherbetter dining options in the area.

I'm ambivalent about this - on the one hand the place has a nice look, it's big, nice sized bar area...food is good, but there is this annoying feeling in the back of my head. There is a bit too much of "formula" at play here and while it's not directly in your face, you can sense it and that, I think, is what gnaws at me about it.

I give a 4 star for dinner time. Great food with a good atmosphere and the menu/price is pretty good too!! But the lunch menu is a little overpriced and the portions very small, 3 star for lunch time!! Dinnertime is always packed too, call ahead if you can!

So good! I am always a big fan of Burton's and this new location is excellent also. I am a big fan of the fact that wine is offered by the glass but also by the quartino (glass and half)! Take a guess which one I chose... As for food, I was with a group of 6 and everyone was more than happy with their meals. I went for the bronzed salmon on a mediterranean salad with a side of risotto. The veggies in the salad were fresh with a perfectly seasoned dressing and feta cheese. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the risotto is to die for (probably not the healthiest thing on the menu, but definitely one of the tastiest choices!) For dessert, the table split a couple creme brulees which were a huge hit. Service was spot on & decor is classy without being stuffy. I will be back!

Nice addition to the area! Burton's is a guaranteed good meal and the atmosphere is really nice. They are super busy but they always seem to be able to get you seated relatively quickly and they take reservations. The tables aren't piled ontop of each other so you get some privacy and it's not too loud. The short ribs are my favorite!

My fist visit to Burton's was the one in Nashua. A good choice for a quick bite when shopping, some vegetarian and seafood options thankfully - and the tuna burger was so good I told all my friends about it. Truly it was my go-to item on the menu. So, when the one in Westford opened, I was excited! Good atmosphere, good service. Good cocktails. But - they didn't have the tuna burger; instead it was a salmon burger (I was told that sometimes the individual locations change up the menu a little). The salmon burger was OK, but not as good, IMO, as the tuna burger. Diced, suhi-grade tuna formed into a patty served medium rare - with pickled red onions and wasabi dressing (I think cucumber was in there somewhere too) - on a brioche roll. MAN was that good. I was told that the tuna burger was coming back, and in fact I did get to order it there once - as a special. But, now they have neither the salmon or the tuna burger. Wish they'd bring it back!

I've just had the best rib eye in years, finally. Seasoned just right, tender, perfect. Worth the big bucks. Like the ambiance, low lights. The place was packed by 6:15 on a tuesday night, I can't imagine where people would wait on a weekend, I could only see a seat for 4 people in the lobby/bar area. The waitress was great. Portions are a good size. I wish the menu had more variety. Just 2 chicken dishes, how about some chicken picatta? Drinks were good, $6.50 for top shelf liquor, $7.50 for a mudslide. I had thought that everything was a la carte, but my steak came with 2 sides for $30. They have a rewards program, after you spend $300 you get a $25 credit.

First time at Burton's Grill for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Kudos to the team as they seem to be doing well in the new location in Westford. Will be coming back to check out their dinner. menu.

We ate here a few Sunday's ago. The food was fine. They only offer the dinner menu on Sunday, but it does include sandwiches and salads, so we were able to order something lunch-ish. My biggest complaint is that it's so dark. My limited-vision husband had a difficult time both reading the menu and walking to the table. We did sit by a window and he could see his plate but he did feel so uncomfortable that we probably will not be back.

Just had our first visit to Burton's, and will absolutely be coming back! Usually when you request a gluten free menu, if the restaurant has one at all, it's essentially the same menu minus 90% of the choices. At Burton's you get a full menu, including FRIED fish!! The only other place in the greater Boston area I know that has GF fried fish is Legal Seafoods, which is a lot more expensive and quite a haul to drive to from Stow. I ordered the GF fried cod sandwich and it was truly fantastic. The baked zucchini appetizer was also delicious. The waitstaff was also amazing: helpful, fun, and great with delivering things on time without hovering.

We have been to the Burtons Grill in Nashua, NH and Burlington, MA and have always had a great meal. The new location in Westford, MA does not disappoint. Went for lunch on Saturday, a week after they opened. I had the Steakhouse Salad and my girlfriend had the Barbeque Chicken Salad. Both meals were very tasty and perfectly prepared. The steak on the salad was cooked exactly how I requested. My girlfriend was still saying how good the Barbeque Chicken Salad was the next day. We are looking forward to trying something different on the menu each time we go back. Burtons is located in the northeast corner of the new Cornerstone Square and is easiest to get to from the Boston Rd entrance.

Love the atmosphere, drinks and food! Came here the other night and boy was my fiance and I impressed!! Everything is made from scratch in the kitchen so they are great about substitutions and those who have allergies can eat anything there. Food is so good you can tell is fresh and made there. Our server was great. Very attentive and brought us everything we needed. Their outside seating is awesome with a big fire pit and nice tables. Inside is really upscale, relaxing and cozy as well! We sat outside on one of the most beautiful nights of the summer. Drinks: Amazing martinis and margaritas. Food: Best pesto dip for ficcaca bread ever. ..Their dry rub wings are incredible...cooked prefect and bursting with flavor! Buffalo chicken dip and chips was gone in seconds it was so good. Steak frites was so flavorful and tender. Parmasean Fries were bomb! Desserts were omg...so awesome too...Creme Brule, Chocolate Raspberry flour less torte was so Rich and so good and the key lime pie was awesome. Can't wait to go back!!!!!

Service was EXCELLENT! I went there as a pit stop on a road trip and couldn't believe that they're a chain restaurant. I enjoyed how friendly and attentive the wait staff were. I personally don't have any gluten sensitivity, but if that your thing, then they definitely cater towards that. Although they're a chain style restaurant, they're a scratch kitchen, which is really nice to know. Cool place, I'd definitely go back

What I like about this place is that it is so gluten free friendly -- makes my mom so much more comfortable when we go out to eat!! However, I have several qualms. We went here for lunch, and I really feel like the food is overpriced. I had the mussels ($15) which were mediocre, and we shared the fried calamari (good, but not great). The real issue (and reason it is 3 stars and not more) was that although the service was attentive, I never, never want to be called "darlin" or "hon" by a server - ESPECIALLY a male server. Especially in what should be a nice restaurant. I'm sure it was just a slip of the tongue and of course not intended to offend, but as a professional and a woman, I don't think it is appropriate to use that sort of language toward customers. This is a simple fix and some women will be offended by this, so please tell your servers! Finally, we had to move because it was so cold in there. If there is any way to make the AC a little less intense (especially in the middle of the day in the summer when people come in in dresses etc) that would be so much more comfortable.

Very, very gluten free friendly. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. From scratch kitchen. AWESOME FOOD! Gluten free clam chowder. Gluten free foccacia. Parmesan fries, to die for! A complete indulgence, gluten allergy or not. I used to really like Burton's - all locations. However, I feel that the menu is so limited and they don't change it very often. I'm not a particularly fussy eater, but I find there are only 2 or 3 items on the menu that I order. Sure wish they would change up the menu more often. Of the items I order, the burger is the best. Unfortunately, you can't order it medium rare, but it is still tasty!

Have only been able to do lunch here but have never been disappointed with the wait time, service or food. Would be good if they took reservations on OpenTable. (Hint)

Not impressed . Had a bad experience and came back for a second try because the manager sent me a gift card and I am disappointed. Service is ok. Food is mediocre. Overall experience should have been a lot better than what I expect. Prices and offerings seem great but they are missing something.

Burton's holds good food and a comfortable upper-scale atmosphere inside its walls. The food was delicious and prepared well, while the service, well, was somewhat decent. Our server was competent, but not pleasant. She got what we asked for and came back every now and then to ask how our meals were, without ever cracking a smile or being remotely personable. Burton's deserves recognition for its efforts in the food allergy area. Our server told us that everything in the kitchen is made to order, and if anyone has a specific food allergy they accommodate it and bring the foods out on plates special to the table. They take the extra measure to insure that patrons with food allergies are properly accommodated--a key and worthwhile service that many restaurants don't offer. Give one to Burton's for filling a food service niche!!

I've been to this Burton's Grill three times. All three times, my server was great. They are great a refilling your water. The restaurant is pretty big and you can see right into the kitchen, which is a scratch kitchen. Which means they will try and do their best to make your meal to your liking, ex: take beets out of your salad, or garlic out of your pasta, etc. because everything is made fresh. The third time I was there was a Monday. I'm not sure if they do it anymore but they had $1 oysters! We each got 12! Thy so fresh and delicious. I would go back more if I lived closed. :'(

What a warm and wonderful place to enjoy a fantastic meal! The wait staff is exceptionally friendly and the Filet was absolutely fabulous! I come to Westford on occasion and will definitely pay Burton;s a future visit.

Friendly service, good food, large portions (though a bit pricy $15 for my Reuben sandwich plus cole slaw). However, cold as the arctic and they didn't change the AC settings when we complained. Even after going back to the car to get sweatshirts for everyone we were still shivering .

Having eaten at the Burlington Burton's I was thrilled when the Westford location opened. I still have to drive 30 minutes, but having a gluten allergy, it's worth every mile. They do great gluten free! We always sit at the bar and start with a cocktail. The cocktail menu is basic but good. Plays on mojitos, sangria, and other classics. Katelyn was very personable and very knowledgeable. Had great conversation about cocktails and beers. For our food, I started with the shrimp cocktail and the BF had the clam chowder. You might chuckle, but the shrimp cocktail was fabulous. Often the shrimp in shrimp cocktail are waaaaay overcooked. These were perfect. Moist. Soft. Good mouth feel. The cocktail sauce was nicely balanced. The BF enjoyed his clam chowder. Main course we're the special prosciutto wrapped halibut for me and the filet Oscar for him. Both were fantastic. My halibut was perfectly cooked. The accompanying spinach and tomato risotto was creamy goodness. The BF's filet Oscar was perfectly cooked to order and the lobster was cooked just right, not overcooked and rubbery. All in all, we can't wait to come back again and again.

Group of 6 looking for dinner on a summer Friday night at 7PM. Crazy? We thought so, but Burton's got us in at a great table. Excellent menu options for everyone, including kids. We ordered seafood, steak, apps...everything was great. Service was great also.

Yes, it's a local chain. Burtons delivers solid New American entrees, appetizers and desserts with good service and reasonable attention to detail in a casual steakhouse atmosphere. A vegetarian menu is available upon request where you choose between pasta and risotto dishes that are capable but not quite extraordinary. This branch has outside seating with a propane-fueled fire pit that is a wait-buster on late summer evenings. Eat there. You won't have a groundbreaking meal here, but you won't have a bad one, either. Pasta dishes are hearty, filling and substantial. The draft beer and wine lists are limited but curated to the season. I enjoyed a bitter Southern Tier PumKing ale (please clean the tap lines) and my dining companion enjoyed a smooth late summer Riesling. Mixed drinks here are consistently good- I recommend Bermuda's national cocktail, the Dark and Stormy, here. The highlight of my most recent visit may well have been the key lime pie, which is served in a circular, cinnamon-laced graham cracker crust with a lime and cream melange in the middle.

This is my sixth time at this specific Burton's location, it is always a wonderful experience! Today was my boyfriend's birthday; He always orders the Haddock imperial and once again received a perfect meal. I am a vegetarian and have always been impressed with their vegetarian menu. Solid veggie burger! Unique toppings, great meal. It made my day. Our server was attentive and personable, I really wish I could remember his name! Excellent service. We ordered four desserts... Yes FOUR (key lime pie, creme brûlée, chocolate cake & chocolate sundae)! All amazing!

This place is great! We typically end up at the Westford location, but also have been to the Nashua restaurant as well, which is just as good. Burton's somehow has the ability to be any type of restaurant you want it to be. We can bring the kids for a family dinner or have a great date night. Over the multiple times that we have been here to eat, I have yet to have a bad meal, whether it was just a burger, or one of the nightly specials. We always end up ordering the Philly Cheese Steak Spring Rolls for an appetizer which are amazing! I haven't ever looked into it, but they do have an entire separate gluten-free menu if that is a requirement for anyone..Also worth mentioning in a separate shout out is their kids menu. I like being able to bring my kids out to eat and not feel like the only options are Chicken Fingers or Grilled Cheese. They have fresh options, with lots of fruits and vegetables to choose from. While Burton's may be a little pricier than other places, the quality of the food, the service, and the overall environment make it well worth it.

My colleague and I had dinner at Burton's Grill last night and were pleasantly surprised! We walked in without a reservation and were prompt;y seated. Our server (Jake?) was a friendly guy. For starters, we had the fried calamari. It came out fiarly quickly and was pretty good. Not a show-stopper, but decent enough. For our main courses, my colleague ordered the Salmon and I got the Cod (forgot the actual names of the dishes). The Cos was EXCELLENT!!! It was succulent and perfectly prepared and had just the right amount of crabmeat on it. My colleague said the Salmon was very tasty as well. For dessert, my colleague had the Chocolate Torte and I got the Frozen Yogurt of the day (peppermint stick, it was). The FroYo was okay.. the order came with 3 huge scoops out of which I was able to finish about 0.75 of a scoop. The Chocolate Torte was REALLY good. Overall, this is a pretty good restaurant that serves good food. I was particularly impressed by the Cod.. if you are planning to visit Burton's Grill, I recommend the Cod!

For lunch here, both my spouse and I ordered the Reuben sandwich because we felt like having one even though we didn't expect it to meet deli standards. Well, they were great!! Better than NY standards! Lean tender corned beef, delicious melted cheese, etc. Our waiter, Bryan, was the best ever - and we have dined at countless restaurants with much higher pretension :-) Just a great experience all around.

We took my parents here Saturday night as a Thank You for watching our baby while we went on a cruise a couple weeks ago. First time eating at a Burtons Grill and I was impressed. It's really beautiful in their Westford location. They have an open kitchen which is always nice, being able to watch the chefs prepare meals all night while you are there. Everything we ordered was nothing short of amazing and cooked perfectly. We got Filets all around and ended with hot fudge sundaes. Although pricey, the waitstaff was attentive and welcoming and the food was great. They make an amazing Moscow Mule, they should invest in some copper cups though. :)
