I heard this place had the best burger. Needless to say (due to the fact that you can count how many stars there are above this) I beg to differ. The staff was kind of rude, hard to get to stop by the table. And weirdly insisted that I give them multiple pieces of ID and took them to their manager which makes me suspect that they had an incident previously. The food was okay, the drink was pretty good, and I would probably wouldn't return.

This is more like 2.5 stars, but I figured I'd be nice. The food quality is really just a step up from an Outback steakhouse, but I didn't expect much walking in and the place looked like a chain restaurant (I think it is?) The only thing on the menu that looked appealing to me was the short ribs, which they have everyday despite the menu saying it is served only on Saturdays. I got it with a side of mashed potatoes and "buttered" corn. Our waitress described the short ribs as melting off the bone, which they kind of did, but they still weren't very impressive. I think the main concern was that each of our dishes were served at room temperature, because it was clear nothing was freshly cooked. The carrots had absolutely zero flavor to them and were pretty watery. The mashed potatoes were mediocre. It wasn't a super expensive restaurant, but still relatively costly for bland food. The only things I thought tasted good were the drinks. Service was also pretty decent.

I went here with my younger sister one day, it's just another average burger place. We were not impressed with the food, I had a burger and asked for no sauce of bun, I got no bun but the sauce was all over the burger and ruined it. My sister can't have much dairy and ordered a soup without realizing it had dairy in it, she got three tomatoes instead which didn't taste that great ( I tried them). I was hoping for something more going here, but found out it was average. I will not be attending this restaurant again. Our waiter was very nice about everything.

The burgers are very tasty, but the bison burgers are a bit dry (get them medium). The nachos are delicious! The house margaritas are hit or miss . . . but when they're 'hit', they're great!

Coming here was a bit of a adventure for us! It was fun and not too far from normal to put me outside of my comfort zone. We order the bison nachos, they were really good and if you didn't know any better you might not be able to tell that this is not beef. I was told to order the lemonade and boy, no regrets! That was also wonderful, perfectly sweet and tangy. I got George's cadillac, it was very good. My favorite part was the fried onion straws for whatever reason, I'd love to get some in a bag and eat them at home haha. My SO went surprisingly far out of his comfort zone and loved his bison burger! I always like to have him open his taste buds to different things and this was a little adventure that turned out well! Our waitress was sweet and pleasant. We will surely be back in the future!

I had the bison fillet - not huge, but delicious, tender, and cooked just as I ordered it. The onion rings were tasty and crispy, the asparagus OK but nothing special. Fries (I had the 50-50 fries and rings as a side) were the main disappointment, they arrived soggy and cool. The beer selection is limited, but it included Guinness which was served correctly, not too cold. The other two at my table tried other things: bison rib eye (also well liked) and beef prime rib (ordered by the one of us who had been before, he was disappointed by the flavor and said he would go back to bison next time). One of them had a Sam Adams Summer Ale, another solid choice. Four stars because of the disappointing fries and because it's not a cheap meal. I expect a $50 meal (just me, not the table) to blow me away a bit more.

Had a fantastic meal here this past weekend. Server was great, cocktail was well made and the food was all A+. We had the homemade chips & ranch dip for an appetizer. Fresh and seasoned just right. I had the filet for main course and this too was well seasoned and cooked just the way I ordered it. We did not need dessert but the allure of the wildberry cheesecake was too good to pass up. This was our first time at Ted's and we will definitely return.

Very nice place, great food & atmosphere. Ray, our server was great. Attentive & fun but gave us our space. Today was our first visit & we will certainly go back. Also, the grand margarita is amazing!

Went to Ted's last night with the family and it was a better experience this time than the last time I gave them a chance (1 year ago). The meatloaf sandwich was good as well as my wife's salmon dinner. The kids had the Mac and cheese which they liked.

I met a few girlfriends here for dinner on a Friday, one of our party was running late (really late) and they were very understanding and let us sit and drink with an appetizer for over an hour. When the friend arrived they had one more and they also quickly moved us to a larger table so we would be comfortable. Drinks and food were really good, definitely worth a second trip out to Westborough. What is even out here anyway?

Ordered take out. Burgers were good, a little pricey. I had the fork and knife chili burger which was delicious, the fries were cold and soggy. My boyfriend had the kitchen sink burger which was $17 but looked delicious and he enjoyed it with mixed fried and onion rings which in that option is quite unique. Will still try again next time inside.

My wife and I dined here on Sat. Night 4/4/15. There was a decent wait for a table so we opted to sit at the bar which was fairly open at the time. This was our first visit to Ted's Montana Grill. The bar is long and offers ample seating, with additional high top tables still in the bar area. The food was good. My wife got a fish sandwich, I had a signature burger. Both were good. The fries were ok, a bit under cooked, but not bad at all. We started with Caesar salads which weren't very good(awful dressing). I would advise skipping these if you enjoy a decent Caesar salad. The beer selection is not great, but I was happy with the Blue Moon draft. The bartenders appeared scattered. The food runners had to auction off the food each time they appeared(on two occasions I had the wrong food placed in front of me). It wasn't a bad overall experience, just not very memorable in a positive way.

3.5. Had myself a good burger with fries and a pickle on the side. The portion was rather small compared to other restaurants, and this is coming from a pretty small Asian girl (or my appetite is just big...). The burger was a little overdone, I had to keep asking for sauce (no ketchup or other condiments on the side), and it was pretty expensive. ForHowever, they have paper straws (I never saw them before).

Once again, great service and great food:) It was busy on a Friday night but we didn't have to wait too long. I got bison meatloaf, my brother got the fork and knife bison burger and his fiancé got the Avalon bison burger. We started things off with the bison nachos I do have to say that the meatloaf wasn't my absolute favorite, the squash side dish was bland but in the past I've enjoyed the bison! They also have yummy cherry lemonade:) We'll be back!

Had high expectations and they were exceeded. Bison Avalon burger is stuff dreams are made of. Good size, cooked perfectly and the toppings were fantastic. Strong endorsement.

This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants in the area. They have GREAT food here (I have never had even a mediocre meal here) and they have THE BEST pickles I have ever had. They give them to you instead of bread while you wait for your food, and it's easy to really chow down on them. They have a delicious veggie burger, and even have bison burgers which I hear are also delicious. They have a great cocktail menu, and outdoor seating which is a great combo. They are also very eco conscious which I definitely appreciate :)

It was my 1st time there and was very impressed when the manager came over to our table after we ate to see how we liked it and if everything was ok...That alone made us feel like we mattered, but thats only half of it...It was my dates birthday and I stopped in there before she got there to leave a dozen roses with the Hostess Sue, as she said they'd bring them to the table after our meal.. Once we sat for our dinner, our waitress Sarah made it a fun night and I will be forever grateful for her recommendation for my entree..My date had the Avalon burger and a side of onion rings...I ordered the Bison Ribeye on the suggestion of Sarah, as I love Ribeye's and had never had a bison one before... When I say the burger and onion rings alone were enough to feed two people, I am not exagerating. I didn't try her burger, but the onion rings were done to perfection. I ordered my steak rare and it as nice to get it that way too, as so many places don't have the same opinion of rare as I do..I also got a loaded baked potato that was almost a meal in itself..The ribeye barely had any fat on it at all and was about the best steak I have ever eaten. Once dinner was over, we could barely move, never mind even think of desserts, but thats for another time, as we will return there and soon.. P.S. When Sarah brought the flowers to our table, it made this one of the best dining experiences of my life and thats saying a lot...

Love Ted's! I've been here 6 or 7 times and each visit is a delight :) The food is so fresh and so good, everything is made in house. It's pricey, but I would rather pay more for great food and great service than go somewhere cheaper and have mediocre food and a rude server. The theme is adorable and the attention to detail is really cool. Old timey soap powder in the bathrooms, paper straws, tables topped with paper maps of Montana...very cute. I love that they give you complimentary homemade pickles for the table and the little twisty toys for the kids is a hit and very much appreciated! I have never had a bad dish here, everything I've tried from the crab cakes and french fries to the bison filet and sliders has been top notch. The best part about this restaurant is that all of their citris fruits are pressed to order. You read that correctly. If you order a mimosa, you can watch as the bartender pulls an orange out of the basket and puts it in the press just for your drink! Amazing.

This place has really good food at a good price. I strongly recommend ordering bison over beef, it is a far superior meat and Ted's prepares it perfectly whether it's a burger, filet, or braised ribs. However, as good as the food is/was, their waiter Tom makes this place. It is not hyperbole to say that Tom is the best waiter I've ever had. On a busy Saturday night he made us feel like we were his only table. From making sure that the ladies ordered first, to always making sure our water glasses were filled, to taking away our dirty plates in a timely manner, to his comedy and table side entertainment he was amazing. Make sure to ask for Tom when you go here and when your meal is over and he brings you the bill ask if he can make it disappear.

Ted's is a splendid restaurant. The food is very enjoyable. The atmosphere is pleasant and the overall experience is positive. If you don't want to wait long for dinner, make a reservation for an early dinner (i.e. 5pm) and you'll miss the rush. You don't have to wait to be seated and food comes out in about a half hour. The service here isn't exceptional, but it is adequate. The only thing that I have to say that is negative is that they do not know how to prepare their beef or bison in any other way than medium/medium well. We have gone to this restaurant numerous times and the kitchen never prepares the meat the way we ask. It always comes out the same: brown through-out.

First trip and they did everything you expect from a restaurant. Nothing about the meal really blew me away, I can vouch for the garlic mash, very creamy, very buttery, and just enough garlic. Our server was good and fairly attentive. Truly appreciated the time she took to explain things on the menu. I look forward to a second trip to try a burger beef or bison haven't decided. Decor was old school, yet modern, and al fresco dining is an option. Sangria is average, but its a Midwestern chain so no complaints.

Excellent burgers per my wife. I had a ribeye steak cooked medium. Not real tender but OK. Service was excellent.

Food was good not great. Beer selections are pitiful. One might think a place that features beef and bison might offer good beer. Ted's doesn't. Caesar salad comes with "eggless" Caesar dressing. Why? I want egg in my Caesar dressing. Apparently Ted's accepts the antiquated low fat nonsense that is now understood as incorrect. Give me craft beer and good high fat low carb options.

Stopped in for an early lunch, having long wanted to try this place. Decor was not what I expected-- dated, dark-paneled, and a little dusty around the edges. But the menu was very interesting, and the service attentive and very friendly. I ordered a Red Rock grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was OK, somehow just on the bland side-- despite jalapenos, pepper jack, near-flavorless "onion straws" and a raspberry sauce that kind of worked. The ciabatta was what really held it back, though. One needs a hearty bread with this type of sandwich, to hold it together; and this roll performed that function well, but added nothing to the flavor. A Panera ciabatta, by contrast, is BOTH sturdy and delicious. On the plus side. the fries were excellent in the old-fashioned style, and we also had tasty Coke floats with vanilla ice cream. Overall, the cost seemed high for what it was. If hungry in Westboro, I'd rank Not Your Average Joe's as my top choice. I'd also opt for nearby Bertucci's, Panera, or Outback before returning to Ted's. On the other hand, maybe I'd go back and try a burger sometime. Incidentally, on the way in, GPS announced we were there, but eventually we spotted it deep in a plaza off to the left. Not their fault, just FYI.

First time diner.....ordered a special which was described as 'medium cooked prime rib of beef' in a sandwich au jus. Presented with Steak Ums that were very fatty and well done....and the meat to roll ratio was 2:10. Ugh. Waitress very pleasant, food completely disappointing. I will not be back.

I used to love this place, but after going there the other day and getting horrendous and rude service, I have doubts about ever going back there again. The girl at the bar was absolutely rude and lack customer skills. I had the nachos there a couple of weeks ago and thought they were great, so wanted to go back again to have it. It was too bad my bf and I got the worst service ever. Food is okay, but they get 0 stars for service. It is too bad they just lost a customer for having horrendous and rude service.

Really like the chocolate shake here, but that is not the meat of the matter here. I got the Bison Short Ribs and they were average. Came out warm but not hot. Jaber tender but just tasted average. My girlfriend got the kitchen sink burger and loved it. Being here before myself in would say stick with the burgers and you will be very satisfied.

Now I know why I haven't been to Ted's Montana Grill in 3 years - Deja Vu! I ordered a swiss, mushroom hamburger cooked medium, no salt on the fries, and a ginger ale. My 89 year old mother ordered a bison burger medium rare with a sweet potato. I received a well done burger, salty fries and a snow cone with ginger ale on it. I complained to our server, and she called the manager over. The manager took one look at our meals, apologized, and placed a replacement order for burgers. In the meantime our server asked if I would like another ginger ale. I said yes, but just a little ice this time. Once again I received a snow cone with ginger ale on it. After a fifteen minute wait, the server brought our entrees to the the table. Mom's was cooked perfectly - medium rare, but mine was just as well done as the previous burger. I cut into in front of the server, and complained. She said that she would call the manager over again. After waiting 10 minutes, I started to eat it, and when the manager finally arrived she stated that she couldn't understand why the kitchen couldn't cook a burger medium, and was taking both our burgers off the check. The server stopped by again and asked if I would like another ginger ale. I said sure, but this time no ice. She brought out a 1/2 filled glass of ginger ale to the table. We waited for the bill to arrive, and on it was a charge for 3 ginger ales at $3.00 a piece - $9.00 plus tax. I informed this inept server that there's no way that I was going to pay this amount for two ginger ale snow cones and a 1/2 glass of ginger ale without the ice. I did offer to pay for one ginger ale. Needless to say the manager comped the ginger ale. Well, Ted's Montana Grill hasn't changed since I was last there about three years ago. They still cannot cook a hamburger medium. That's what I call consistency.

This is a review for Ted's bison rib eye and crab cakes. OMG its so good! Just check the picture of it that I uploaded; I am salivating, thinking about it all the time now. Tried bison at other restaurants and found they are just not as good as Ted's...

Apathy. Pretty much sums up what I would guess is the mission statement at Ted's Montana Grill. One night medium rare means well done (and that is not in the form of a compliment.) The next night medium rare means rare verging on raw. One aspect of the kitchen seems to be in the dark with another. The lack of communication is at times astounding. I recently ordered a Canyon Creek and requested over the phone when ordering that they double check to make sure the blackberry jam will be included as it was left out the previous visit - checkpoint #1 (it's the best part and what makes the Canyon Creek so great) When I arrived to pay, I asked the bartender to make sure the jam was included - checkpoint #2. It wasn't so he called back to another (a manager?) to address the request. Several minutes and much confusion later the manager proudly walks up with the order. All set, I inquired. All set. - checkpoint #3. I personally checked the order he proclaimed. Cool. Get home - guess what. No blackberry jam. Ugggh. Grrr. A draining experience.

The Bison burgers here are A M A Z I N G! Even though this is a chain, it doesn't feel like it. We love coming here because the food is so tasty every time. I strongly recommend eating here when you are in the mood for some juicy burgers.

I really like this place. I've been here many times and always get the bison burgers (because you can't get bison ANYWHERE else it seems. But if anyone knows of someplace, please share!). They have a lot of customizations on their menu for bison burgers, regular burgers or grilled chicken. You can get it with or without a bun, with certain things added onto it, etc. I switch it up everytime but I always get a sweet potato on the side...yum. If you haven't had bison burgers before, and you like your regular burgers medium-rare, I'd recommend getting the bison burger done medium. For some reason, medium-rare seems a little too ... raw for me with the bison burgers (or maybe it's just here?) They have recyclable straws which is kind of weird to me (but cool). They actually told me some people come and bring their own straws!! They also have a full bar.

Been here many times and will continue coming back! Great way to start off the meal With delicious homemade pickles and fresh lemonade. Always get the bison meatloaf which is out if this world. Service is consistently great as is the chocolate malt milkshake to end the meal. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Not familiar with area - but concierge at hotel suggested Ted's. We are sure glad he did! Loved the complimentary pickles/ cukes! Ordered the bison nachos to start. They were so good! Chopped salad sir myself, bacon cheeseburger for my daughter and meatloaf sandwich for the hubby. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Drinks were generous with the booze. All in all a delicious meal. We will definitely be back!

I've been to Teds is Westborough a few times for work lunches only and I have mixed reviews. First time I went there, my co-worker and I sat up in the bar area, had prompt service and great food. We started with the homemade chips that were perfectly cooked and the dip it came with was really good. We both ordered the Balsamic Blue Steak Salad, greens were fresh and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium for her, medium rare for me. We left happily and decided to go back a couple more times after just the two of us and a couple times with a group of about 4-6 people. Now, the other times we went back for lunch we sat in the dining area or on the patio. Service was not great and they really didn't seem super busy. We sit down, a waitress greets you promptly and takes your drink order which comes out pretty quickly. Order your food and prepare to wait. Regardless if it was two people or 6 of us, we had a pretty long wait for our food. I noticed the tables around us had finished their drinks by the time we got our beverages and they didn't have food on their tables. Once we were pretty much done with our drinks (ice tea and water), the other tables food was finally being delivered. Thankfully we had a lot to talk about each time we visited here. Finally the food came. I must say, you can't go wrong with a bison burger at Teds, everyone was pleased with their burgers. I unfortunately can't have that for lunch or I will be sleeping at my desk by 2:30 so I had ordered my trusty steak salad again and the steak was like a hockey puck and I had ordered it medium rare. Since we had waited so long there was so way I could send it back and wait another 30 minutes for lunch. This waiting forever and over-cooked steak incident happened twice in a row after that. So I'm a little wary to go back for lunch unless it's the majority choice. I talked to a few other people from work who go here during lunch and they swear by sitting up at the bar. I guess I should have continued to sit up there after my first experience. I can't speak for dinner service but they definitely need to get it together during the lunch rush.

Five stars might seem like a bit much for this place but I think Ted's is worthy. The food is good and CONSISTENT. We have been here dozens if not hundreds of times, usually sticking to burgers and never leave disappointed. Few restaurants can pull that off over such a large sample size. The ambiance is great both indoors and outside on the patio in the summer. The service is always good, even before we were semi-regulars. Now, most of the servers greet us by name. The only complaint I have is their paper straws. My daughter hates them because they disintegrate upon use. Ted Turner may be trying to save the planet by my one and a half year old doesn't care.

This place is great. A bit pricey, always crowded, weak pours on the drinks. The food is great, and I love the bison. The absolute worst part of this experience is the parking situation. It is awful.

When reviewing a restaurant, I usually dive right into the food, but I have to start with the service here because despite the incredible food, this was what really made it a five star restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and went above and beyond being helpful, including letting me know my daughter had gum on her shoe, and as if that wasn't enough - offering to take it and throw it out when I peeled it off. To me, taking sticky gum from my hand is way above the call of duty, but it's definitely a way for a server to immediately win my heart. He was also really attentive and gave us a bit of help on bison vs beef on the burgers and suggestions on his favorites - both of my friends at the restaurant and I took his advice and were not disappointed. This attention to detail carried through the entire restaurant - wikki sticks for kids instead of the usual crayons, which my daughter LOVED, an easy to find bathroom (no strange corners to turn that accidentally lead you to the kitchen), eco-friendly straws, and a great patio that was already open in March which is probably not the usual there, but it was in the 70s so why not? There were some interesting uses of the current weird-burger-topping trends, including a few variations on the egg-on-burger, one of which we tried with blackberry jam, jalapenos, egg and cheese (which was delicious)?! Who would've thought it would be so good! You could definitely tell their ingredients were quality. The kid's meal mac and cheese my daughter got was a HUGE portion, which we got broccoli with, and was only $5. I was pretty happy with it - as far as mac and cheese goes it was not over-the-top greasy, but my daughter clearly was even more impressed. All of us watched her in awe and shock as she ate more of it then I knew possible. Between that and the wikki sticks she was SO easy to keep entertained, which might have actually contributed almost as much to the five stars as the great waiter and food. I am not usually that into chains, but in the case of Ted's I am happy to know it is, because I can add it to my day dreams of places I want to come to Buffalo, along with Trader Joe's joining this rust belt city in a perfect world full of fresh ingredients and grassroots movements and happiness.

I really wanted to like this place but I just didn't enjoy my burger that much. Ted's has a really cool western/prohabition style to it and super comfy booth's. Our waitress was very nice but she was a little overbearing and passive aggressive. We started with the Chip's & Dip and a Wedge Salad, both very standard and did nothing to blow me away. We both ordered burgers medium rare and the came out mid well, which isn't enough for me to complain but it is enough to take a star off a review. I got the New Mexico burger and it was just sort of plain with nothing going on. I also really wanted to like the paper straws but they are just sort of weird.

What a great family restaurant! My husband and I frequently eat here with our preschool age son and we always have a good experience. The food is above average but it's the atmosphere that keeps us going back. It's noisy in a fun kind of way so that I don't feel like my family is disrupting anyone. And there is always great service. Definitely be prepared for a family atmosphere if you dine here. The take out service is also very good.

I've made a few trips here with BFF and her mom, and recently brought my husband for the first time because he LOVES bison burgers... don't know why I didn't think of that sooner! I love the fact that they bring pickles out to munch on while you're looking over the menu, and they're so yummy! We had the onion rings as an appetizer, and both got bison burgers, mine with the "green and hot" toppings, my husband the Swiss and mushroom, hold the sour cream and add BBQ sauce. The onion rings were DELICIOUS, hot and crispy and seasoned perfectly. The burgers were above average, too. They were juicy (almost too much so, the buns kind of fall apart), though a little undercooked (I'll order well next time) and I had to remove about half the toppings on mine because it was just too big. Service was attentive, if a little slow, but we were sitting on the patio on a beautiful day, we didn't mine at all!). Prices are also kind of on the high side, but the quality of the ingredients is clear. I know they have a reputation for their "green" culture, which I appreciate, but the biodegradable straws are awful, especially since they used crushed ice in the sodas that melts so fast. The experience is like drinking through a cardboard tampon applicator... not pleasant. We'll definitely be back for more burgers, but I'll probably bring my own straw...

Great service, good food, something did not sit well though. Our waitress here was very courteous and professional. There was plenty of parking in the plaza, and the place was not very busy on a Thursday evening. We both ordered burgers, I got a buffalo burger, my gf got a regular burger. She said hers was very good, but not amazing. My buffalo burger was a bit underdone (ordered Medium, came out Rare/Med-Rare). Generally, I would eat it as I do not like to send things back, but I had to. After the burger was quite good. Pretty good flavor too. I would stick with the regular burger though, but having the option was nice.

the pickles they bring out before the meal are really good. i always order the Ted's filet medium which is delicious. they did cook it a little on the rare side last time but where nice enough to take it back and cook it a minute longer and add more asparagus that i had eaten while waiting for the waitress. the aplle, peacan crisp was really good except for the fact they only give u one scoop of vanilla ice cream topped over a huge portion of the pecan crisp! so basically its all crisp and not enough ice cream. plus it takes an extra ten minutes to be made. Two scoops of vanilla ice cream would make this the perfect desert!

Always great service when sitting at the bar! The burgers are spot on and so is their house made chips and dip. Some of my favorites are the Avalon, Green and Hot, and the New Mexico.

Green 'n Hot Bison Burger, no bun, 50/50 fries and rings, Rancho Zabaco Zinfandel. I would happily have this once a week forever.

From the reviews, I was expecting phenomenal burgers.... the burgers were average (yes, having a bison burger is pretty cool, but honestly I think the burgers at Five Guys are better). What made the experience really negative was how incredibly loud it was!! I do not have children (yet)... and when I do have young children it's clear that this is a restaurant where they will be welcome. However, if you're planning on going for a dinner with a friend etc... you may not be able to hear them over the noise. The server was great, the food was average... the acoustics were terrible. I would have wanted to try a dessert but the noise was ridiculous. Unfortunately, not the experience I was hoping for. Perhaps late night would be quieter.

I went to Ted's Montana Grill yesterday with a friend. I had never been before. The bison burger was amazing but I wasn't thrilled with the fries. What I liked best about Ted's was the service. Our waitress was very attentive without being annoying, the manager stopped by to check on us and the food arrived very quickly. Best service I've had in years.

Went here for a quick bite to eat in mid afternoon. The decor was OK and the place was very quiet as it was empty. Read the reviews that the burgers were good so I ordered the Delicious Duo. Wow. Really good. Burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly. Buns were fresh and soft. If you want a good burger, I'd definitely recommend Ted's Montana Grill.

Every time I come to Ted's I am reminded why I always return. Their menu offers a large variety of selections from their amazing bison burgers to delicious filet's. For those who don't want steak or bison they have many options from chicken to fish. Their crab cakes are to die for and you would swear they came directly from the gulf. Their hand cut fries also make them stand out with their perfect crispiness and just the right amount of salt to compliment any meal. Second only to the food is the superior customer service. I have never had a waiter or waitress that hasn't been perfect. Attentive enough that you aren't hunting for them but not too attentive that you can't enjoy your meal. I also love the paneled booths and the milk glass lights. It definitely reminds you of a classy saloon with the bison head proudly positioned over the bar.

I just can't get enough of this place. If you've read my previous review, you'll see that I also get the same thing every time. Well I dabbled in a few more things... I've had the burgers and the filet. The (bison) filet is ...as I like to say TDF (TO DIE FOR) .....just like those pickles. Everything I have here is just great. It's seriously the only 'chain' restaurant I go to. I've never had a bad meal here an the staff is great. I think the manager's name is Jen and she's so nice. She comes over and says hello almost every time I come in. Simply the Best! PS - The apple crisp is also TDF. NO lie, you can feed at LEAST 4 people with it too.

I wanted this to be a great dinner but............ You may have better luck at Ted's than I did. While the restaurant is beautiful to look at the service is iffy and the food is not all that great. i have tried to figure this place out but after four visits I think I am done. This time I tried the crab cakes, what I thought was the closest thing to a healthy meal. What a mistake. Flavorless crab cakes with oddly smoked asparagus and not so yummy cole slaw. The avocado salad was pretty good. So it's just ok. Maybe if you tried the bison dishes it will be better for you than it was for me. Anyway, as I said, maybe you will have a better time than me.

Teds is great if you want a good burger or steak. I often get the bison delminico ribeye and it is fantastic. They also have many burger options with regular beef or bison. It is a good atmosphere and the service is usually very good.

Burger arrives, "fries still cooking" , finished meal and here's your fries. Kitchen failed, not fair to servers. Would rather wait for entire meal then receive some.

Came here for my wife's birthday. Brandon, our server, was beyond exceptional. Both of our meals were perfectly cooked. Apps and drinks were excellent as well. Prices are on the higher end of average for a steakhouse, but WELL worth it. We will definitely be back!

The Burgers are 10 out of 10...don't get anything else. Nachos for our appetizer were bland and made with liquid cheese. Meatloaf was flavorless, broccoli was very hard, coleslaw was disgusting. My GF got a burger and it was the best burger either of us had ever had.

MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH Better than their Arlington, VA establishment. Great burgers, specially the bison! Great fries. I've never had anything else off the menu, so I really can't rate anything else other than a great burger, in a clean and unpretentious soda-shop type restaurant. Service is nothing to brag about, courteous and polite, nothing out of the ordinary. Did I say great burgers?

Gross! Great atmosphere though. Went there on a date with the girlfriend, we always try new things; this was no different. We ordered the Bison nachos, completely watery. Tasted like melted salt and feet all mixed on top of feet. The waiter was as good as my nephew at understanding orders (my nephew is 4). So on top of eating this malice version of nachos we were forced to actually endure another meal from Ted's we both got hamburgers, bread came out soggy. AWESOME! Let me tell you if you like oatmeal for breakfast you may actually enjoy soggy bread. The meat was completely greasy and tasted as bland could be. The kitchen workers were totally not doing a great job at pleasing the customers the place wasn't very cheap either. Being in the price range 50-60 dollars seemed awfully expensive for hamburgers but whatever. We didn't eat the hamburger just mashed into the plate and waited for the check. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. -So Ted Turner if you are reading this if you want to send me back my 50 bucks that would be great or if you could send me on a day trip to your farm please let me know. Thanks

Went here tonight for the first time tonight and I was shocked to enjoy everything about my experience from start to finish. We ordered a couple of cocktails and tried the bison nachos and the sliders. The ingredients were clearly very high quality; the sliders were little more than ground bison and cheese on a bun and yet they were delicious. The nachos were evenly coated in delicious chili and cheese sauce. Alfredo, our server, was very solicitous. We can't wait to go back.

I'd seen Ted's Montana Grill at other places and wanted to check them out for a while and finally had the opportunity - occasion was combo birthday and friendly get-together. We had a pretty large party (10) made up of six kids and four adults. As a result, they placed us towards the back of the restaurant, right near the restrooms. Not a biggy, but obviously they knew we would be a loud crew! Decor is Colorado steakhouse - hardwood floors, booths that have step-ups, and a seperate bar area with a lot of gleaming wood and brass. Overall it's a nice atmosphere - not too upscale and loud enough that you can take a family and blend in. We didn't order appetizers and instead launched into the menu, ordering a bunch of drinks, kids meals and our meals. Among our selections were a couple of burgers, the salmon, and a chicken sandwich. I'm a fan of bison and (more importantly) a fan of chefs who grill burgers the right way (medium rare), so my burger was pretty much perfect the moment I got it. Clean tasting, juicy, with great toppings (I had cheddar, chiles, and guac) and interesting sides (baked sweet potato and AWESOME coleslaw). The Salmon seemed good too, as did the chicken sandwiches. For what it's worth, the kids meals are generous, in particular the chicken tenders and mac and cheese. The negatives at Teds are two-fold: service and price. Our server wasn't bad per se, but he was indifferent and absent-minded. I didn't get a single refill of iced tea, he forgot who's birthday it was, and also forgot one of the kid's meals and didn't seem too upset about it (try telling that to the 5 year old who is waiting for it). In fact, he seemed like he was doing the minimum he had to do to service the table. From a pricing POV, they upcharge any substitution, so if you go from french fries to a baked potato that's $3 extra. For the kid's meals, we swapped the unhealthy fries for brocolli and that was also an extra $3. It would have been easier to swallow if the waiter had alerted us to this upcharge policy. Overall I really liked the food and environment, but felt that the service and pricing isn't aligned with the experience.

I only had a side salad and an appetizer but was definitely impressed! I had the Ted's Chopped Salad which is one of the best salads i've had. I also had their homemade chips and ranch dip - delicious!! I am really looking forward to returning and trying some entrees next time.

Great burgers and a surprisingly good fish sandwich and amazing onion rings. Only downside is that there are really no healthy options at this place. Even the salads have bacon in the dressing.

This was my second time at Ted's. I love the half-sours and I like the fact that they serve bison, which is healthier for you than regular beef. Two people in our group had burgers with fries and two of us had salads. I can personally only speak for my own salad, which was the Specialty Salad. The waiter said it was a "Mediternean" (because that's how he pronounced Mediterranean) salad. Anyway, I ordered it with bison and basically, they plopped a huge medium-rare bison loose patty on top of the salad. Although I really loved the bison, I cannot give Ted's points for presentation; it was a mess. Also, the salad was extremely salty because of the capers (which I should have omitted myself while ordering) and the feta cheese. I did appreciate the fact that the waiter split the checks on the bill. It made things much easier for us.

We sat in the bar area - terrible service, awful food - everything was tasteless: salads, mashed potatoes, burgers, macaroni & cheese. The waiter could not answer any of our questions about the food (had 2 kids with us). Had to ask repeatedly for silverware, napkins, water. He spilled water on us and then I had to go to the bar myself to get napkins to wipe it up... all around terrible.

Bad lunch experience last week. $40 for 2 people and we left disappointed. Great chips, so-so "ranch" dressing & 2 fantastic Arnold Palmers -- and we should have stopped there. Mom got the bison burger, medium rare, over a Caesar salad. I opted for the Mean & Green ( guac, jalapenos, & Monterrey jack) on a Bison burger, also medium rare. Both of our burgers came out seared and raw in the middle. Not even the edges were cooked. My burger was 1/3 the size of my bun and the "guac" was a scant teaspoon at best. Top that with 3 slices of jalapeno & a mound of unmelted cheese and I'm ready to complain...but I'd need my waitress for that. We don't see her again for 15 minutes and by this time we're done. Saddest lunch we've had in AGES. :( Nice straws,Ted...but you can keep the rest.

Sweet JESUS, was that a great steak. I came here with a large group of friends and family before a show last month. We were looking for a good, solid dinner, but were also in a time crunch. First off, our waitress was fantastic. Great personality, a lot of spunk (too bad I can't remember her name) and really knew what it took to be a great server. The food came out very prompt and only took one trip for the servers. I was pretty impressed, whereas I used to work in a restaurant where it was hard as hell to find a follow and would take 3 or 4 trips to get food out to a party that large. Yes, it's embarrassing. Anyway, the meals were just.. fantastic. They can cook one hell of a steak there. The sides that come with it are endless.. talk about gettin' more bang for your buck. (If it was a venison steak, that would've been way more awesome..) I also had a house margarita. A margarita can make or break my restaurant experience and I could've had four more of those. However, I really wanted to keep my dinner down. It was pretty perfect, though. If you're ever in the Westborough area, check this place out. It's a great night out for meat lovers. Oh, and say hi to my parents for me.

We have had great food and service at this restaurant in the past, but the last two times the service has been very, very slow, and yesterday the steak on my favorite salad, which I had ordered medium rare, came crispy and well done. I don't ever send food back (won't waste it, and we had waited a very long time for it already) but it was a very disappointing experience.

I was really impressed with Ted's Montana Grill. I've eaten their twice so far it has been awesome. I've had their New Mexico Bison Burger (spicy - really good!), and their Bison Chili Burger (awesome chili). Both times I also had the Chopped Salad which was really, really good. My husband had the Bison Steak (he would highly recommend it) and the Blue Cheese Bison Burger (very yummy!). The servers are really nice and I thought the restaurant was decorated really nice. Can't wait to go back and try and different burger!

I have been to this Ted's location a 1/2 dozen times and have never been disappointed. The service may be slow at times but the food is so worth the wait! The bison burgers are out of this world and their selection of burgers and chicken sandwiches can't be beat! On Saturday's they serve the best red beans & rice I have ever eaten. All of their food is fresh, never frozen and it shows in all of their dishes. Highly Recommend!

Dateline: 11/23/2008 Main Event: Pats vs Dolphins Food: Homemade Buffalo Wings You need bleu cheese and celery for this dish, right? The cheese should be moldy, the celery, not so much. I find two packs of celery in the "crisper". Pack 1 has some usable stalks, I cull the bad and keep the good ones. Pack two is apparently spawn of an Alien species starting to clone soldiers for the invasion. My call to Scully and Mulder goes unanswered so I take the "extraterrestrial celery insurgents" into the backyard yard and torch them with gasoline. The wings were delicious and the Pats won. Dateline: 11/27/2008 Main Event: Thanksgiving dinner, duh. Food: Turkey with all the trimmings including stuffing. Lounging in my PJ's, bulldog snoring at my feet, I'm watching this incredibly bad example of an NFL game, drinking some bubbly, eating herbed goat cheese and crackers. I'm enjoying a nearly perfect day so far, when a blood curdling scream emanates from the kitchen. She who must be obeyed, screams into the phone, she's been conversating for nearly an hour while cooking, "I gotta go I'm outta celery!". She grabs her car keys and dashes out the door before you can say "Two minute warning". I don't know about your place, but around here we use celery in stuffing. More than once this past week I was asked: "Do we need anything else for Thanksgiving?". The celery extermination sorta-kinda slipped my mind. I am cognizant of the fact that Roche Brothers and Stop n Shop, the two nearest supermarkets, are closed today. I grab the phone and speed dial my darling's cell phone. A second later I hear it's ring next to me. I switch from the Chandon to bourbon and await my fate. Twenty minutes later a surprisingly happy Chen walks through the door with a brown paper bag with the Ted's logo on it. Resourceful woman that she is she went to the only place that was open and secured fresh stalks for the stuffing! Thanks Ted's Montana Grill, you saved my ass and our Thanksgiving.

We weren't so sure of a "Montana Grill" in Westborough MA. Place seemed like it would be a chain and deliver mediocre food. BOY WERE WE WRONG! This place is fantastic. The quality of the food is exceptional. We had the meatloaf, burgers, turkey burger, and kids meals. The rolls served with the meatloaf were so good that my family insisted I ask the waiter to bring over 5 more! And I agree, they are THAT good. Prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very conscientious. In addition, the place is eco-friendly with biodegradable straws. We ordered the special meal that comes with cookies as dessert - either chocolate chip or snickerdoodles. We picked the sincerkdoodles. They cookies were warm and superb. This place is a great find. Get there and be sure to make a reservation. This place won't be a secret much longer!

One of our go-to restaurants since it's nearby. DD and DS loves this place because of the steak and prime rib. I love the bison chili. The menu is a bit limited. I have ordered meat loaf, crab cake, bison burger, beer chicken, etc and they are all good Go for bison as it's better. One time, we went here at 9pm on a Sunday night. The chili was watery. The prime rib was the end piece. Definitely, not the usual quality food. So when the server asked how the food was, I was honest. They did not charge us for the chili or the 2 prime rib. Lowest bill we ever got for a dinner meal. But we still gave the server the 20% tip he would have gotten if they charged us the whole meal. They should not have served the chili or prime rib in the first place. But like my teenager DS said, he's okay with bad service if it means a free meal. That definitely made us all laugh.

I like Montana Ted's. The food is always well prepared and having the buffalo as an option adds a bit of a change from the usual restaurant. Service is always professional and courteous. We go back on a regular basis and always have a great experience. BTW, the fact that they are friendly with the environment (paper straws / waterless toilets) is a real plus as well.

For a Tuesday night, it was pretty busy, but not so crowded that I couldn't hear what my friends were saying. I got the meat-loaf sandwich, which was bison with a BBQ sauce and onions. Really delicious! The service was really good, and the decor was fun. I think this a great choice if you are looking for a safe bet with the family, but want a little bit more from your food than what some of the chains have to offer. I'll definitely come back and be more adventurous with my ordering next time.

Another great experience! Back in 2010. I tried the bison burger for the first time and could barely eat it all! Well, 5 years later, some things changed and I manage somehow No11 :) My girl took a Balsamic Blue Steak, and our friend who took us on dinner took TEDs bacon cheeseburger if I remember right. All three of us ordered meat to be medium rare and it was like that. Everything looked and has been awesome! Honestly looking forward coming here again while I am in MA. ps. On Friday night (6PM) it was a bit crowded, but we wait less then a 45 minutes how it was presented to us in the beginning. Nothing what one seasonal Samuel Adams can not solve :)

Tonight was my 2nd trip to Ted's. It's not an amazing restaurant by any means but it's a solid bet. Service is decent, wine list is decent, food is tasty and the $16 meal deal is a good deal. Perfect place for a work dinner where you want a nice meal and can't go to a bar-type place but also can't spend a fortune. Oh and if you haven't tried bison go to Ted's and try it - worth the extra $! Square Root Day Update: Trip #3 for lunch. Bison Burger and fries were outstanding. I have 3 sets of stitches in my mouth but couldn't stop eating. YUM. Burger lunch will run you around $15. Oh and thumbs up to the garlicy pickle munchies!!

I went back to this place a year after my original visit, and I wasn't nearly as impressed. My girlfriend and I both ordered buffalo burgers cooked medium. They came out not just pink in the middle, but RED--definitely not cooked through (indeed, not even hot in the middle--tepid at most). The waitress asked if everything was okay and we hesitated, then said that the burgers were super good, but not cooked enough. She said that if we wanted to keep eating (we were SO hungry), we could have a free dessert on the house. We said okay, and picked out the rawest parts of our burgers, which actually ended up being a good 20 percent of the burger. Yuck, right? The waitress probably should have comped one of them when she saw that red/pink mass on each of our plates. In any case, we ended up not wanting dessert after two Mountain Breezes each (one of the best mixed drinks I've ever had, BTW) and asked if we could get one of the ($9.50) drinks comped instead of having dessert (since the desserts were around $8-10). She said she'd ask her manager, then came back and said no, she couldn't comp a drink, but she'd give us a $10 gift certificate; would that be okay? We agreed. Then when our check came, there was NO gift certificate--just this stupid coupon for $5 off if we came back and spent $15 or more. We really like to be polite, so we hesitated again, but then asked about the gift certificate. She basically told us that this was the best she could do. We were kind of annoyed... I mean, our burgers WERE super rare... I guess we could have sent them back? But she kind of seemed to think that would be a pain, and we were trying to be nice... I dunno. The whole thing was awkward. We didn't end up going back, and probably won't, which is kind of a bummer, since this used to be my favorite restaurant in Westborough.

Been there a few times, usually with good results, but last night's dinner was sub-par. Party of 2, got there just after 5 pm on a Saturday, told there would be a 10-15 minute wait, which was fine and expected, and sat at the bar to have a drink with our table pager. After about 20 minutes, we moved back to the hostess area, waited another10 minutes or so, then asked the hostess where we were in the queue. Turns out, they had been trying to signal our pager for about 10-15 minutes... it was broken. Which happens, and I understand this, but they also had our name, and we were never more than 10 feet away- one call out of the name would have solved this immediately. So a minor annoyance, but nothing unforgiveable. We were seated at that point, and given menus. Watched as the tables to the right and left of us got seated within the next 10 minutes, and still, had yet to have a waiter or waitress approach. Then saw tables seated well after us getting service, drinks, placing orders... nothing still. Took our waitress almost 15 minutes to get to our table, at which point she asked if we wanted drinks, to which I replied we were ready to place the full order. There was an enormous waitstaff on duty, our waitress appeared to have only two tables, yet she would disappear for seemingly enormous blocks of time without checking on us or her other table. Drinks and bison nachos came out... drinks were good, nachos were ok. Chili seemed a little cold, and cheese was sparse and wasn't really melted. We've had it better before, so it was a little disappointing. Waitress disappears again... leaving us sitting there for over 10 minutes with three empty plates, and two empty drinks. Seriously? Finally brings our food over, and has to clear the old plates at the same time she is giving us the food. Was about to disappear again, and asked, almost as an afterthought if we needed more drinks with dinner. Those took another 10 minutes or so. Food wise- both got burgers. Fries were tasty, burgers were both cooked to order and pretty good- no complaints there. Her delays in service were really bizarre though, given she only appeared to have those two tables, and the other one had just as bad service. Finally comes and clears our dinner plates, walks away again without asking about coffee/dessert/drinks... at that point, we had pretty much had it with the bad service. Then she comes back, with ice cream and a cookie, telling us that she was sorry everything took so long, so dessert was complimentary. Which was nice to get that without asking, but what was interesting was that the food was generally fine, and came out in the time intervals we would expect for a busy Saturday night... it was her complete lack of attention that was the problem. So anyway... this visit is making us a little disinclined to go back... as the food was just decent, and the service was so poor. Maybe we should have taken the hint when our pager never went off and went elsewhere...

Yummy! My hubby and I have been to Teds several times. It's the best place to get a yummy meal that you aren't going to regret after eating. I love the Salmon Caesar salad and my husband always gets a Bison burger... They have great key lime pie, bison chili...

Honestly, I cannot believe that this place does not have more five-star reviews. I live in Westborough and have gone here at least a dozen times. I have never had a bad meal once. Further, they have the best burgers hands-down in Metrowest. I always get the bison burger on an "Oatie" roll with half fries and half onion rings... I always leave here so satisfied and typically end up taking part (or half) of my huge bison burger home for a snack later that evening or for lunch the next day. The service is always extremely professional and prompt. Another thing I love about the service at Ted's is, let's put it this way: I like things very specific....I never get the typical "eye roll" or attitude that I get some places when I ask for "no onion, extra plate on the side" or "do you have spicy brown mustard?" Or: "Can you bring a 'to go' box with my meal? The servers typically bust their butts trying to make the guests happy and I love that they seem to care. I also love the large chocolate chip cookies at the end of my meal which are just delicious when they are hot and fresh!!

Food was delicious, service was mediocre, my wine glass had major stains and the waitress did not seem phased eventough i was b/c neither she nor the bartender caught this.... it was gross! again, the good was delicious. i would give it one more try to give them the benefit of the doubt. i love the green touches such as natural soap in the bathrooms etc (see other postings for more detail on this).

One of the WORST place I have eaten locally. The chili was sparse and tasteless. The fish overcooked. Onio rings- hard and undercooked. Overall- pretty dismal. aND i LOOOOVE BISON. So the concept seemed sound. Hugely dissapointing- though the staff is nice.

I was so excited about going to Ted's for the first time.... Bison Steak .... wow.... so wanted to try it. Well, the overall experience is ok..... given this place is new, I think it has good potential. They really need to train staff to work faster. We had to wait at the bar for a table for 4.... the Cosmo was good. My girl was starving, so she ordered the grilled shrimp appetizer.... that was very good. I ordered a glass of wine to go with my bison steak... the wine was good. the steak... seems too much seasoning on top, too salty.... other than that.... we had a fun time! Again.... they need to speed up!!

I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could. It's your average steak chain. I've heard it's Longhorn Steak House (which I've never been) gone green w/Ted Turner owning it. Honestly, the food was okay - it didn't knock my sox off - it wasn't horrible either. The ambiance (IMHO) was pretty contrived & the waitress was programmed to say certain things @ certain times (didjya wanna side dish of blah blah? it's ted's favorite!) I'll take a mom & pop place any day which varies in quality than some suburban chain. PS The thing I really did like was they're very green & don't use plastic or paper towels in the b/r... oddly, their urinals don't use water (TMI?), they use some space age chemical that is reused/recycled rather than peeing in a drinking water filled porcelain - for that reason I really liked this place - I think it's b/c it's hip/trendy to be greeen now. PPS If you like Chachkies or Flingers, you'll love this place.

I like Ted's a lot. The burgers are the best, but many times they are falling apart because they are overcooked. They still taste great, but are difficult to eat. I miss the Boudin sourdough rolls they used to have, and also a few of the other menu items. The crabcakes are well prepared, and are quite good also. Iceberg wedge is also very good. It is noisy though, and can get very busy on a weekend night.

My husband and I got a gift card to eat here around 2 years ago. We finally used it for our anniversary. My husband ordered the bison meatloaf with gravy. He liked the meatloaf but thought the gravy was heavy. The waiter offered to have it refuted with no gravy. I ordered the filet bison with asparagus and sweet potatoe. It was fabulous. The bison just melts in your mouth. To drink I ordered the mango fresh ice tea unsweetened. Added 1 pack of splenda and it was great. I wanted to get some to go. We ordered the cookies for desert which we took to go. We got 2 snikerdoodle, 1 peanut butter and 1 chocolate chip. They are a pricey but good homemade cookies. We will definatly go back again. Server was derrek and he was great. Food came fast and hot.

WARNING - COUPLES BEWARE - made the mistake of going here as a party of 2, after seeing several groups of 4 seated that came in after us I checked with the hostess and was told we were next, I noticed we were in the middle of the page of the seating sheet and everyone on the page was crossed off, including 8 parties that came in after us, after 2 more parties were seated ahead of us I spoke to the hostess again and was told we had to wait for a 'two top', I should have walked out right there, but after waiting 50 minutes on our 20-30 minute wait, we were hungry and stayed, the food was OK, nothing special, and certainly not worth being treated like this, we've been regulars here for a couple of years, I doubt we'll be going back anytime soon

We went there on an off hour in the afternoon and the place was fairly empty. I'm a very big burger and fries man and this place didnt disappoint. Sliced pickles were brought out right away to munch on. Then we ordered the Teds chopped salad and it was gooood. I had the swiss and mushroom and sour cream burger. It came with delicious fries. If you like McDonalds fries then you will love these. Burger cant be held with two hands. Maybe my hands are just too small but I would advise to slice it in half because after everything is put inside the burger its just too big. It was the bison burger and I enjoyed it totally. The only reason this place doesnt get 5 starts is its still a burger and $15 for a bison burger is a bit much. The regular burger costs $12. Other than that, service was good and the place is immaculate. I highly recommend.

I went here for the first time today and I was thoroughly impressed. We went on a thursday at about 3PM so it was DEAD. We were literally the only people in there so maybe that's why my experience was so good as they only had to focus on us. The waitress was attentive but not annoying, friendly but not overly to appear fake, and spot on with her drink refill frequency. I wanted to keep it simple and try one of their strengths, so I just ordered a cheese burger and it came with the 50/50 french fry/onion ring side. I'm in my 30's and love food so lets just say I have had a few thousand hamburgers, and this was top 3. One of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. They order their meat in large cuts and then grind it in on the premisses. This gives the chef perfect control over his burger meat and it shows. Juicy, tasty, and the texture was fantastic. I ordered it medium and they cooked it to perfection. It came with a heavy dose of cheese with a perfect melt. It was so good I found myself not even using much ketchup or mustard because I just wanted to taste the burger on its own. The fries were good and the onion rings (thick style) were some of the better onion rings I've had. Overall just an excellent experience and I can't wait to go back and try their Bison and a Steak.

I went there recently during an off peak hour, as I usually tend to do. I had one of their burgers, and I was seriously impressed. I thought thtat it was the best burger that I have had in years. It blows 5 Guys away.

I love this place. My family (we have two kids 9 years old) visits regularly, and there is a good kids menu. The burgers are truly outstanding, the kids meals are great, and we've tried steaks also - everything is very good. I really like their coleslaw (if you like coleslaw - try Ted's...it has a distinctive flavor that is great). You really can't go wrong here.

Had a fantastic dinner last night at Ted. Food was great, service was awesome - we weren't rushed - overall great experience. Prices were lower then expected. Would go back in a heartbreak. Wait at 6pm was 40 minutes.

If you've read all the reviews here and concluded that "eh, it's OK", that's about right. We were there at 4 pm on a recent saturday, thinking we'd have a late lunch. It was pretty empty. The food was ... OK. Nothing to write home about. My burger was order med. rare but came out well done. We thought that if we sent it back, it would take a couple of hours to get the second try back. That means the service was S-L-O-W. Attentive, but in a really S-L-O-W way. And remember, it's not the busy hour when we're here. By the end of this late lunch, we didn't need dinner. I always pay with a credit card, but we were so desperate to get outta there, that I just put down cash and escaped. If you want a great burger, go to Red Robin. Nearest one is at Patriot Place, but the overall time investment will be about the same,,,,,,,,,

You just can't go wrong at Ted's....I've been many times and I've yet to have a bad meal. Once or twice the service was a little slow, but we were treated to a free app to make up for it. If you like burgers, this is the place for you. I am a huge fan of the meatloaf sandwich (lunch) and the bison meatloaf (for dinner).

Been here at least 6 times and it has never let me down. The mushroom Swiss bison burger is unreal. My kids love this place too. Service has always been great. Too bad other businesses could not learn a few environmental tips from these folks. Nice to see a business using common sense and making an effort to be low impact.

I didn't realize that Ted was Ted Turner. I didn't know he had a chain of restaurants. I am shocked they don't yet have one here in the S. Cali, especially in the OC where they have all the corporate joints and they promote fresh food and are eco-friendly. When I go out to eat, I like to order stuff that I can't usually get...they had bison on the menu, so that is what I got. The last time I had bison was on Catalina Island, it was in the form of a burger. I was not impressed with the burger, which was rather dry. At Ted's I ordered the ribeye bison steak, medium well. It was pretty good. My co-worker said that I should have ordered the meat medium. I do agree that a good steak should be rare in the middle, but I wanted to be on the safe side. When our meals arrived, my co-worker's bison steak was thicker and bigger, even though we ordered the same cut of meat. So, it appears that if the meat is cooked more, the quality of the meat goes down. I will keep that in mind for the next steakhouse I go to. Despite the fact that I had a smaller steak, the meat was very tasty and made up for the disappointing bison burger from Catalina. The meat tasted like regular beef, but not as fatty. The place was not bad for a corporate restaurant. Even though it was in a shopping center, at least they spruced up the development to look like a quaint colonial village. If they had one back in LA, I would go again.

This is a review for Ted's bison rib eye and crab cakes. OMG its so good! Just check the picture of it that I uploaded; I am salivating, thinking about it all the time now. Tried bison at other restaurants and found they are just not as good as Ted's...

My boyfriend is a big fan of this place. He usually gets the bison burger. The atmosphere there is really relaxed. It's a great place for a family outing or maybe a quiet date. If you're looking for some comfort food, and somewhere really laid back, this is a good joint.

The bison is the item to order; much leaner than beef with same great taste! The fish and chips are terrific as well! The service is wonderful!

The waitress was excellent but our steaks were really underdone. They did the right thing and took one of them off the bill.

Hubby and I went for brunch. I ordered the Naked burger, beef for the first trip. Ordered it medium-well, got well done. It was fine, but unseasoned, the fries, also just okay, again, no seasoning. Wont rush back.

The burgers are amazing but they tend to over cook. My medium was barely pink. Still tastes great though. Desserts are good and HUGE.
