Our waitress was very nice and the burger was ok, but the rest of it... We walked past 4 open, set-up tables outside, entered and asked the hostess to seat us outside. She said "yes, a host will seat you in just a moment" she did not take my name or tell me there would be a wait. Several other groups arrived wanting to sit inside and their names were taken. The place was busy, but not at all packed. After 10 minutes my cousin went to the desk to tell them my 3 year old was about to meltdown if we weren't seated soon (remember, there were plenty of open tables). The attitude of the hostess at this point was off the charts rude. My mom finally went outside and claimed a table on her own since clearly no one who worked there was going to seat us. The water in the restroom was so hot my daughter almost burned her hands. When I very politely suggested to another person at the front desk that they should look into it before someone got hurt, she was also unnecessarily rude. I should have sought out a manager at this point. Waitress was fine. I asked for extra pickles and got none and she corrected promptly. My fries were the crunchy burnt broken bits from the bottom of the barrel. Pretty sure most restaurants throw those away and don't serve them to paying customers. My daughter's meal included ice cream; we told them we didn't want it and they served it anyway literally as we were walking away after paying the check. I rarely leave reviews, but it's been 2 days and I'm still pissed so...

Super busy on a Saturday night, drinks took a while and food was ehhh. Typical bar food, if that's what you like. The handmade chips were great though, and only $5. Super friendly staff.

The definition of a mediocre sports bar. Lots of TV's and beer which is great, but less than average food. I went with a bacon cheeseburger. It was one of the messiest burgers I've every had and not in a good way. The bacon was also chewy instead of crispy which was disappointing. The restaurant is huge though so I can see it being a great place to catch a big game.

We went to Tony C's on a Tuesday night for a family dinner, so admittedly were not fulfilling the place's purpose of supplying cold beer and games on the many, many TVs. That said, we had a solid meal! First off, the service is phenomenal. Our server was friendly, attentive, and funny. The atmosphere is great--the place is huge! I can't wait to see what it will be like in the summertime, since it has folding doors to the sidewalk and the river. The food was great. Fish tacos were fresh, steak tips were flavorful, and the nachos were huge and tasty. The only drawback is that the meal portions are small for a sports bar. While the food was above average, it's tough to think of going to a bar and paying $12-20 for a small portion of food. Next time, I'll try one of the burgers or sandwiches for sure. I am excited to go back, and have no doubt that this place will be successful. I can't wait to watch Red Sox games here on warm summer nights.

My boo and I decided to come here to try it (1) because we love assembly row (2) because he loves the fact that all the TVs are playing sports channels. On our way in, the maitre' ds (spelling?) were NOT really nice. They (2 females) looked bothered by the fact that we were coming into the restaurant, and interrupting their conversation (flirt session) with one of the male waiters. An attitude was not needed, and I could have sworn we caught an eye roll. We were SO HAPPILY (sarcasm) seated. And came in contact with a waitress who also looked less than pleased to have us. Whatever, we just wanted our drinks and burgers, so we dealt with it. We got a couple of attitude-like stares and could have sworn that we probably didn't belong....AT A FREAKING SPORTS BAR. The food was great (see pics) with the exception of the Parmesan truffle fries, they were alright. We suggest the ones at the East End Grille 5-minutes up the street on Broadway. My real complaint is with the napkin that I had rolled out, just to find a dead mosquito in my plate.....YUCK! That did it for me. Half way into my sandwich, and I couldn't eat the rest after that. I was really grossed out.....I don't think we'll be trying this place for a looooong time. Needs happier maitre'ds and friendlier waitresses/waiters. Make sure there's no Mosquitos in the utensils either.....ew. Pics to follow.

Horrible experience - poor management, customer service. I went there last Saturday with friends and the manager (tall white guy) bumped into me and spilled my full beer all over my friend Lauren's dress and shoes. Not only did he not apologize, the waitress went up to him and showed him how he spilled on us and he just stood there, and did nothing.

Nice and convenient, Tony C's has a fun lively atmosphere without feeling cramped. Great selection of different foods to try. I had the Pork Au Povire with mashed potatoes and a brandy gravy. Absolutely delicious. Tough not to lick the plate clean. Quick efficient and friendly staff are attentive without feeling pressured or rushed. With the nice weather here the open walls and outdoor dining make for a great dining experience.

Drinks were reasonable and food looked good but the service was absolutely awful. We were actually going to order food but left because we waited 10 minutes for our waiter to take our drink order then didn't see him for 20 minutes after he came back with them. When he finally asked if we were ready we just got the check. All while 3-4 waitresses stood joking around and talking.

Came here a couple of times. Once on an afternoon for a quick beer and burger and another with the guys for an all day drinking rendezvous. We were seated within 20 min even though they seamed busy. Ordered numerous drinks between the four of us and they all came quickly. Apps were amazing. We ordered a ton of them then had meals later. Definately worth it to hit the app menu like a champ. Just keep ordering beers, their ice cold and come fast. Dinner was good too, fish and chips were cooked perfectly and nobody at my table had any complaints. More like when were we coming back.

Came here on a Monday afternoon for my birthday. Yes the restaurant was quiet and slow, but still don't deserve a rude waitress. We were her to spend money! And this waitress made us want to leave! It was almost like she was acting like we were bothering her. Wasn't very friendly and had a rude mannerism to her. I was a waitress so I know it's tough to work the Monday shift...but at least make the best of it, when you have a party of 4 who want to drink and eat! And put a smile on your face! My girlfriend wrote her a little note on the final tab, saying if she was nicer she would have gotten more money...which was true! Food was amazing though! Those nachos were probably the best I've ever had! Would like to come back here, just need to make sure I don't have this waitress.

We got here at 9 and were told that it would be a 20-25 minute wait for a table for two. The hostess took our cell phone number down and we sat and waited for over 20 minutes until my boyfriend went to ask about the table. He was told that they had texted us at 9:04!! To the wrong number obviously. We were promptly seated and proceeded to order appetizers and desserts since we have a movie to catch soon. Our waitress forgot the order of fries we initially ordered and they still took forever after we asked her again. She had the nerve to walk by like 15 minutes later and ask if we still wanted them! The service here is unreliable and slow to say the least. The food is just ok so the frustrations are not even worth it.

What a meh! We sat at the bar for dinner and it was a quiet night. The two waitresses never stopped for our orders or follow-up, and they brought the wrong soup and the wrong drink. They didn't seem super apologetic or surprised about it. My fish and chips and the slaw (vinegar, not mayo, which was nice) were good, and they let me substitute spinach for the fries, but my companion had just awful philly cheese dumplings. We never got an itemized bill but had to rush off for a movie. Bad service, mediocre to bad food.... ...considering all the AMAZING places in Assembly, give this one a miss unless you love the big screens for sports!

Been here twice. The waiters aren't that great. First time I went there the waiter seemed like they forgot about us. Thanks for the manager who came around and helped us. Second time the waitress looked like she hated life. She had a sour attitude and was very inattentive. Besides that the food was great, drinks were okay. I would've given it four stars but the waiter/waitress suck.

The new Assembly Row featuring outlet stores and restaurants is great to this area! Also has its own train stop ( Assembly stop). Also as an AMC movie theater with plenty of parking spaces and garage parking. We chose Tony C's for our dinner as we were exploring Assembly Row stores and restaurants. Not a fan of sports restaurant dinning but Tony C's patio seemed so welcoming that we decided to give it a shot! We requested to sit out side. Hostess said 5 minutes and we were seated in less time. They have an extensive draft lineup. I ordered the mushroom burger and my companion ordered the fish tacos. Surprisingly both were great! Service was good also. If you want to watch your favorite team you must stop by Tony C's great place to watch sports with plenty of tvs! Will be back!

We went in and asked for a table of 2, outside. It's not a busy night right now (Monday night), and plenty of the 'nicer' tables were vacant. However, the hostess took us all the way back to the shady end of their outside seating. We could tell that they didn't want us being seen from the main road by giving us the nicer tables. This attitude is unacceptable and racist. It's not like we are asking for a free meal! I don't generally write reviews but I'm so angry right now, that I'm writing this review while I'm still at the restaurant. Weird staff with horrible hosting manners.

My husband and I arrived a little late being Super Bowl .. This place was packed by the time we got here and was standing room only, we stood in a crowded corner and knew it would be almost impossible to get someone's attention to order a drink, well we were wrong, 1 waitress stood out she was seriously looking around and assisting any customer in her view that she could help, she got us a drink and an appitizer, and service was quick , she than pulled 2 unused chairs aside for us to have a place to sit which made us feel very comfortable to order more food and beverages.. I can go on and on about the service we received from Jessica . She is absolutely a team player and goes above and beyond for the guests. We will absolutely be back and ask for hope to see Jessica .. Great staff all around

They had me at Hometown Heat! It's a tequila drink that's spicy, like I like it! The buffalo fingers were awesome! The pork au poivre was fantastic! Everyone else loved their meals, as well, including my son who's picky about burgers! We'll be back!

The food and drink here were both wonderful. I had the fish tacos, which were cooked to perfection. They have tons of beers on tap and a good wine list. The reason for the 3 star review is simply the bar service. I sat with an empty drink for a good 6 or 7 minutes, although the bar was not busy at all. I finally had to flag down a manager to ask for a drink menu and had to again flag down the bartender when I was ready to order. When my food came, she did not give me silverware (I had to ask a busser) or ask how my food was. I had to ask for my check and was not asked how everything was. I was upset at the terrible quality of the bar service, especially because I was one of only a few customers there. I will return to tony c's when the service is better and I don't feel like I am bothering the bartender for a simple beer.

Just left the place. Came here for lunch and ended up having a beer and leaving. The bartenders felt as they were there agains their will, unfriendly, rude... Asked for the check and walked out to eat somewhere else in the square.

Great atmosphere! Sports fans dream! Giant tvs everywhere within view. A large selection of beer options with great prices on drinks. Decent house cocktail menu. The food came out incredibly quick! I recommend the buffalo chicken taquitos! I had the fish tacos and they were amazing! Really filling and the sauce was just the perfect spiciness. Check it out its a fun energetic spot!

Watched the Patriots Playoff game on Saturday at Tony C's and for an establishment that has been only open for a few weeks, they have done a tremendous job. After a rough start with drinks coming out the bar, they quickly solved that and the food was really good as well. Great place to watch a game more TVs than you could imagine and not a bad seat in the place.

love the vibe here, really nice sports bar. especially how there's alot of huge televisions that span the whole bar. came here on a busy night because of a game and i was a bit reluctant since they said 45 minute wait. I love how they have the texting system. I was seated sooner than the alotted time. i enjoyed the spinach dip as well as the steak tips. what was also a plus is that the workers there were really attentive to my needs. would definitely come back.

Horrible service! I don't expect much when it comes to customer service. I am okay with just the basic. It's not like I am a big deal. But this place made my weekend outing absolutely unpleasant. Since we have been to earls and riverside bar, we wanted to give this place a try. The host was friendly and the wait was 30 mins. I gave them my phone number then hung out by the river. It was a nice day! So when we returned after we got a text, we got seated. The server came to us right away and asked if we wanted to order our drink. Because I wasn't too hungry but just wanted to munch on some snack, we ordered the nachos(after seeing the review), truffle fries, and a clam chowder. My husband ordered a steak tips. Everything, except for the fries, came out together, which was fine. But the steak came out without a steak knife, the clam chowder came out without a spoon. The food runner looked at me and he just walked away. I was once a server in college. I know it's not really his job. But he could at least communicate with our server. Then we tried to make eye contact with our server, she walked pass us and instead went to a new table to take an order. We waited for a good 5 minutes and she finally came to check on us. Still, we hadn't started eating. We had to ask her for a knife and a spoon. We were also waiting for our fries. By the time we finished our meal, the fries never came out.So again, we were sitting in our table waiting for the server to come to us. We told her that we didn't want the fries anymore. She said, "oh right, it never came out, haha.." She also never came back to ask if we wanted another beer or something else to drink. My glass was empty and it was hot yesterday. I had to look for her and tried to engage in eye contact, only to find out she was not even looking at me. And it's rude to snap my fingers. So we just quietly sat and wait for her with frustration. I know there was a big party and it was busy. As a former server, if I were her, I would have asked my coworker for help. The food overall is okay. If you are at assembly, go to earls or riverside, the wait time is about the same and it's more worth it.

This was my 1st impression of Tony C's on a Sunday night. I understand that it's a new restaurant but if someone reads this it will be little things to improve on... Arriving my guest and I were greeted with a smile from one of the three hostess who opened the door for us, but the other 2 were doing the following, one texting on a phone, and the other looked disinterested but it was slow so I could let that slide. A couple just left the bar so we grabbed their seats and proceeded to say hello to the bartender. The bartender cleaned our area but used a smelly dish rag and the smell lingered for a while. We placed a beer order but she 1) didn't know the sizes of her glasses and 2) didn't know which beers were in bottles versus draft (something small but little things that could add up to something major) After checking out the menu we started with some wings (which were pretty tasty) while deciding on our main course. Once finished with the wings, we wanted to order some more stuff but was told the kitchen was closed. I checked my watch and it was 9:19pm we received no warning...just an apology. I question why the staff wasn't trained what time the kitchen closes, if there wasn't other places within walking distance I would have been more upset. I will return in the future to see if things improve, I'm not turned off by this place but it could just be a bad night Pros: Location, TV's, good wings (that's all we had) Cons: kitchen closes early, staff needed more training

Planned on going to watch the Pats game Sunday after work. Luckily my date got there early and secured us a table. By the time I got there at five the line was out the door. I explained to the doorman that we had a table. He said the were at max capacity so I had to wait till someone left before going in. He was very friendly. five min. later I was in. The place was packed and it was hard getting around. Got to my date and ordered some drinks. First round took a long time. But Alexandria or server was working under very challenging conditions. She took good care of us from then on. It was a great game and the crowd was electric.Ordered some food thinking it would take a long time to come but it came out in a reasonable amount of time. Food was what you'd expect from a sports bar during a playoff game. Overall a great experience, didn't hurt that the Pats won. I will go back for the next big game

Was in the area on 3/14 and decided to try out a new place for dinner. There was a 30 minute wait when we got there, but we were seated in 20 - kudos for not underestimating given the crowd. We sat at a booth in the bar area. It was nice to be able to see a TV no matter where you were sitting. The seat unfortunately left something to be desired. Apparently the guy behind me had acute restless leg syndrome because the booth shook like crazy for the first 20 minutes I was there -until the guy left. Holy nausea. Luckily the next person who sat there kept the leg shaking to a minimum. If you don't appreciate feeling everything that's going on at the next table over, I would recommend a detached table in the other part of the restaurant. As far as ambiance goes, it was pretty loud and TVs were a bit distracting, so not a good place to go if you want to chat. Watch sports? Great. We decided to start with the buffalo chicken taquitos. They came out quickly and tasted okay, but were not buffalo-ey enough for my taste. The ranch that came with them was tasty. They were also delivered on a bed of potato chips - kind of odd. We probably would have been better off with the nachos, which looked awesome. The bf got the Orecciette, which he said was "simple, but good." I got the Chicken Conigliaro. Typically, I'm a fan of anything that is lemony with capers. Figured this would be a winner. Alas, not so much. It didn't really have much of a lemon flavor at all. The chicken was good on its own, but the flavor of the chicken matched with flavor of the angel hair was just a really odd fit. Will likely give this place another try, but wasn't overly impressed with my first experience.

Disclaimer- I know what good food is. Let's dive right in- the food here sucks incredibly big time. Went there and was told it was a 'from scratch' kitchen. Waitress said the buffalo wings are amazing.... Amazingly bad unfortunately... When the dry giant turkey leg looking weird poultry items (buffalo wings are ideally small sizzlingly crispy delights smothered in tangy sauce) I was so disgusted I asked the waitress to look at them and she even gave a pained look.. They were horrible. They didn't charge me for them but I actually would have prefferred paying for decent food. My wife ordered steak tip salad.... Lousy looking salad showed up. No steak tips. (Place was empty by the way) they hurriedly ran to get some steak tips.. I said to my wife these better be the best tips ever to overcome this fiasco..... They were quite shitty. Lots of great Tv's just don't go there hungry. In a word Shitty.

First off, I'm basing my review completely on the atmosphere from a one time experience. I came in with a group of friends on a Friday night and the place was full. We just wanted a drink at the bar, but it is so jam packed with seats there is no room to even get in to order a drink. The whole flow of the bar makes no sense because it is really difficult for people to walk around, stand in groups, mingle etc. It was also very weirdly quiet and the glow from the TV screens makes the whole bar extremely bright, which is not the lively nightlife bar scene I was hoping for. Basically it's a glorified Tavern in the Square with more TV screens. We ended up leaving because it was not living up the the hype we had heard about.

As a local, I had high hopes for this place but I was disappointed in this new spot. I showed up for dinner and ordered a Turkey Club with sweet potato fries. First, what did I get, regular fries. The waitress who seemed to be ambivalent about the issue took 25 minutes to replace the fries. Additionally the sandwich itself was disappointingly cold. The atmosphere is good for a game but eat before your show up or at the very least come prepared for disappointment

Great place to catch a game or two:-) watched the Ravens at Pats playoff game with 500 others. We had a party of 12 which became 20. Server (Amber) was excellent. Friendly and organized. Kitchen kept up with the orders of the huge crowd- food came out fast. Bar was running a bit behind. Our party ordered almost everything on the menu including this crazy huge red velvet cake. All the food was excellent. 90+ TV's. Lots of free parking and also next to Assembly Train station (Orange line). They had no concerns with splitting the bill (they prefer that instead of holding credit cards for tabs in dining area) but had a computer glitch that made it complex- they worked it out without a hassle. Only odd thing was the bizarre red lighting in the ladies room- a complete disconnect from the rest of the place and the sports bar feel (that apparently was the night club portion)

Ok a lot of mixed reviews for this spot. I picked it because it was the least hipster, precocious spot in the new hipster precocious Assembly row. There was more good than bad. Pleasant wait staff and hostesses. Clean place, comfortable chairs, great acoustics in the back dining area. Bathrooms clean and attended to regularly) Good, but expensive cocktails. Fair appetizers ( spinach and artichoke dip ok nachos better). I was prepared to be disappointed in my steak tips but they were really very good!! Flavorful, Cooked to my liking and tender. Mashed potatoes have promise but were tepid and gluey. My friend ordered the veggie burger which was cold and awful. Waitress responded appropriately and my friend then got a reg burger that she enjoyed more. Overall an OK spot for those of us who are too old or too savvy to tolerate hipster chic.

Not impressed. Went tonight for a quick bite to eat before a movie. The bar was pretty full but found two open seats. Our bartender was terrible. Unfriendly, no personality and not very attentive. I get that we weren't drinking but jeez man.. And he didn't even have to bring our food out, the food runner did! So he basically did nothing, Didn't even refill our water. So we ordered pretty quick because we knew we had limited time. Buffalo wings came out in a timely matter and were ok, nothing to get excited about. We also ordered a burger to just share because we just wanted something easy (and quick) 20+ minutes and finally it came and we didn't have time to eat so got a to-go box and ran out to get to the movie. Big mistake and should have checked. Burger was not cooked as asked and NOT even the one we ordered! No bacon on my bacon burger, but thanks for the egg? on it that I didn't want Tony C's! Maybe if the bartender had been better I could have overlooked it but nothing good about my experience so won't be going back anytime soon, sorry! Really wanted to like this place.. :(. 1/2 the reviews on here are giving service a terrible rating, why isn't the manager reading these??

First time here and I loved it! The atmosphere is laid back yet exciting. The bartenders are very friendly (and cute). The place and the restroom (which has tv's) was very clean. A lot of beers on tap. Casual dress and great for groups. Can't wait to go back to watch the Pats win this Saturday!

Fine place to watch a game, good menu, good food. My only complaint is bartenders leave much to be desired. Saturday afternoon, clearly not the A team. Inattentive, zero personality, zero people skills. Not ok, in my opinion. I shouldn't have to flag 5 bartenders down to get me a drink. They had no interest in their customers. BTW this is the 1st yelp review I've ever done, that tells you how annoyed I was.

The amount of TV screens are awesome. This is a sports men's dream. The selection of beer was superb with 40 plus beers on tap. I ordered chopped salad and it was fresh. The only thing I would rethink is the amount and use of olives in the dish. It did overwhelm the taste buds. Friends got the burgers and although they liked the fries, the burgers seemed bland. A major suggestion is proactively offer some condiments. A special honey mustard or chipotle mayo can go a long way. Overall a good destination when your in the mood for sports.

Excellent service, food, beers and value! GREAT kids menu...$7 includes drink (free refills), meal and ice cream for dessert! Nachos were some of the best I have had and great beer selection. This place scream SPORTS BAR!!!!!!!! There's actually a TV everywhere you look. You can't not be looking at a TV. It was incredibly overwhelming but if you're there for sports then that's what you want! The hostesses were WONDERFUL. The place was packed and they were still so polite and accommodating. None of them lost their cool over the literal hundreds of people on the wait list. They were just really great and made the hour long wait go by quick! Thanks girls!

amazing beer selection. great burgers. don't like their dessert. have 500 tvs so that's great if youre a sports fan. parking in a garage nearby.

Food was mediocre, we left and got dinner elsewhere after trying some apps. We got the steak and cheese wontons and I was not impressed with the size or quality. We split a salad and it wasn't bad, plenty of food for 2. Service was good, atmosphere was good but the food could have been better. I expected higher quality considering how long the wait was.

great experience, went on a weeknight so I didn't have so I didn't really have to fight a huge crowd. depending on where you are seated and you can get a different vibe. sports bar or a pretty decent restaurant. the menu selection is on the smaller side but hey keep it simple and do it well. and it seems like they are doing that well. the French dip sandwich was delicious. I apologize for not recalling her name but our waitress was great. funny attentive took time for some conversation. made it one of the more enjoyable dining experiences I haev had lately

Food was amazing service was fast but unfortunately out waiter (#24 on his back dark hair young kid ) was a total jackass. He treated my boyfriend and the other couple we were with like jerks. When we needed something he would come up to the table and say "sup" I am a bartender and was disgusted by his behavior! He even had the bus boy come up and say "sup" so unprofessional they tried humiliating us. Felt like I was at Wendy's. Servers name was Jan btw.

Great place to watch any game. Tons of tv's.. Bar seating a little cramped with a lot of seats shoved close together. Bar staff was very nice, very attentive. Food a little pricey for me, but it was good, came out quickly.

Fantastic sports bar and plan on watching March Madness there next month. They have a good size beer selection but could probably have chosen some better craft beers. There's at least something for everyone. Although I didn't have high expectations for the food it was decent for bar food and prices were reasonable.

Staff was amazing. Very helpful. I have food allergies and they were great about making sure the food was safe and perfect. Great selection of beers on tap and loads of tv's for sports fans.

We have gone twice now and have gotten the nachos both times! Delicious! Our dinner wasn't so bad either. The beer selections is decent, lots to choose from. Our first trip, we sat in the dinning area and services was extremely slow. They have an entire back room area but bot enough staff to fill the area. We waited 30-40 minutes. Second time we sat at the bar. Fast and great service! We love the many many tvs as we were able to watch the sox play during dinner We will go again but we will also sit at the bar.

I love Tony C's! It's the perfect place to grab a drink with friends, date night or to watch a game. The restaurant is huge and with the outdoor seating and open windows it's perfect year round. The calamari is some of the best I've had with a sweet glaze. My favorite menu item is the #25 Burger. Fried pork belly and a fried egg on top-delicious and dangerous! The beer selection is big and the wine list is pretty decent too.

Came for drinks outside and they told us we had to order food in order to sit. Okay.. Kinda strange considering we just ate dinner and were full but whatever. I ordered the mashed potatoes and they were super dry. I do not think butter or cream was used and when I eat mashed potatoes, I want butter and cream! Drinks were fine, service was interesting -- our waitress was super chatty and I couldn't tell her if I liked her or not. Overall, it was fine.

The nacho appetizer plate is HUGE. Easily can feed 2-3 people. We've a few of their drinks before which were tasty, especially the jalapeno margarita. Nice location down by the water. The overall menu isn't anything special.

This was truly a three-star restaurant, since it wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. The service was fine and our waitress was attentive. The food choices were limited (typical of a sports bar), but we had a big family dinner there, which was probably a poor choice since we weren't drinking. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, which wasn't that great and tasted like it was from a jar. For an entree, I ended up getting the fish sandwich with French fries, and it was pretty average. The lemonade I ordered was very clearly a foundation drink, but it wasn't terrible. Overall, this was the most average restaurant experience I've had in a while.

We were passing by Tony C's on our way to Earls for dinner, but we were enticed by the outdoor seating that we had to stop in. Of course before ordering I had to check yelp, apprehensive about the 3 star rating I went forth and ordered the fish tacos that were in every other review, was definitely not disappointed! My friend got the steak tips which were also awesome. But the mashed potatoes that came with it... YUM! Service was really attentive and our food came out quickly. The beer list is great so excited to come back for that alone. We will definitely be coming back!

You'll swear you're at a Yard House. The line of mostly domestic taps, catering to the Lite crowd; the veritable army of flat screens, unmissable from any angle, and brilliant in their resolution (these cats spent some coin on your visualizations), a dining room that continues on in to eternity, paralleling the infinite bar, and a menu of sandwiches, burgers, starters and salads you'll find neither excite nor offend pretty much everyone in your group. The seemingly iffy service mentioned in other reviews was a non-factor during our Friday night visit - greeted within moments, drinks (my big boy Troegs was $8.50) served minutes after we ordered, and entrees that came just as quickly. Our server was lovely, tossing extra cherries in to the wife's Shirley Temple, and answering all questions from a few newbs with deep menu knowledge. Why was the food so fast? I'd reckon very little is made to order here, as the kitchen is armed to heat and send. My French Dip ($13) had a paltry portion of lukewarm, fairly dry beef and mild horseradish on an untoasted roll. The au jus brought the salt and moisture, making the final product okay. Menu hack! I ordered a side Caesar instead of fries. It came with onion rings (?), which I pulled and plopped atop the sandwich. Boom. It's gonna be a bro haven, and rife with families pre-AMC. Run of the mill menu, solid service, and a buzzing atmosphere gets Tony C's a casual three.

Solid pub grub/bar food! Nothing amazing but good and tasty food, nice portions, friendly staff, and awesome sports bar ambiance with tons of huge TVs. I would come back whenever I'm in the mood for this type of dining experience.

Ordered buffalo chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were amazing and the fries were just okay. Giant TVs tuned to sports stations are everywhere. Good if you like sports. I don't. In your face if you don't (I could see 6 TVs and two Moore reflected in a mirror without moving my head. The downside of this place was that my waitress was mostly MIA and really cold. It was super hard to get ahold of her.

The service here is very weird. The first thing I noticed was the chaos at the hostess stand. We waited for a table for about ten minutes, despite the fact that they eventually seated us alone in an entirely empty section of the restaurant. Also, our waiter came back to double check our order, and twice a server came over with something we hadn't ordered, which makes me think that they have no system for keeping track of tickets. I had the nachos and they were alright. I guess Tony C's is trying to capitalize on Assembly Square's relative isolation, but it's kind of weird that they serve entrees like steak au poivre and chicken scallopini alongside the bar food. At least it was clean, and there were plenty of TVs. The bathrooms were also super nice? Unfortunately, the disorganized service and lackluster food mean I probably won't be back to visit them.

Walking around Assembly Row can make a girl hungry. While on the prowl for eateries, my girlfriends and I decided on Tony's because we wanted a restaurant environment without paying the prices of Earl's (its across the street competitor). First impressions upon entering: another sports bar that probably serves mediocre bar food. That would've been fine with me though since I just wanted to do quick apps and leave. I was impressed though by the service and food. The waitress walked the three of us to a corner booth meant for 5 people. I loved the extra room. Then we ordered buffalo wings, calamari, chips, and nachos. We all also had soda. I would've liked to try their cocktails or wine but I needed to drive. Free soda refills btw! The thing that shocked me most were the portions of the apps. Almost every app were $10 or below. But everything we got besides the wings were huge! The nachos were insanely piled high with chips and condiments; we added chili too for good measure. The thing was about 6inches in depth! With the chill atmosphere, good food, great company, we were there for over an hr eating and talking. In addition, the restaurant is so expansive. I went around late afternoon where there was a good amount of customers. But only half of the restaurant was open. My friends and I stared at a section of the place wondering if we were looking at a mirror or if it was a whole other room. Turned out it was another part of the restaurant. I don't know how necessary it is though since the place is still massive with it. Another thing we appreciated was the restroom design. All black with red lighting, very modern. Service too was impeccable. We're already thinking of going back soon.

we went here for a quick dinner before seeing a movie. Nice place, brand new and very clean. I know they are relatively new, but the service left much to be desired. It was ridiculously slow, and the place was almost empty. After waiting 20 minutes for a burger the manager came to the table to say they'd made a mistake making it and were in the process of re-making it. He took it off of our tab, which we appreciated him doing pro-actively. The burger (egg, bacon, cheese) was great when it came, so they have that going for them. Once they tighten up the service I think the reviews will improve considerably.

  • Don M.

Food is decent, nothing stellar though. Place is nice and the atmosphere is cool. In the end though, the food was average and will be a place I'd swing by for a quick burger and a brew. I got a turkey club. It was good. I could have made the same at home though. Kids had an average burger and really crunchy chicken fingers. Wife had turkey tips with the couscous. Again, probably could have made our entire dinner at home and the food would have been warmer and a bit fresher. If you want a quick burger and couple beers while watching the game, this is your spot. If you're looking for a rich dining experience with high quality food options, head elsewhere.

I order the Honey Glazed Tuna and it was awful. I dont know what sauce it was they glazed it with but it was sour and bitter. I gave it a two stars because of the ambience. Otherwise, the food wasn't great. My friend order the herb roasted chicken with mash. Nahhhhhh. It's just over priced American food.

Food is very good but the service is so bad (slow and unprofessional ) We have gone twice now and have same waitress Caroline both times. We waited 30 min just to order . Food came 10 minutes before we get our drinks and we never been asked to refill it . I have to mention it was Sunday night ( not to many people in ) If you want to keep business you have to hire new people because from the looking around she is not the only one

I came to this location for the NFC championship game this year. I had a reservation for 8:30pm, right after the pats game ended, I get the place was packed, but I had to wait until about 9pm to get my table, which was very frustrating. Most sports bars don't take reservations on game day because they know they can't keep up with them, so I was annoyed they offered reservations they couldn't keep. The drink selection was good, tons of options and pretty fairly priced. I thought the food menu was bland. We tried a bunch of apps and while nothing was bad, the food didn't stand out and was a little dry. Their menu could definitely use a little work. Our waitress was not great, we asked for 2 minutes to review the menu after she took our drink order, some of us had been watching the game and hadn't checked it out, but she didn't come back for more than 30 minutes. We felt we needed to order everything including drink refills before we even needed them for fear that she wouldn't ever come back again. I would come back here, but on a less crowded day and hopefully with a different server.

Came here recently when looking for a reasonably-priced dinner at Assembly Row. The atmosphere is very interesting--I've never seen so many TV's at a restaurant and the bathrooms are bathed in deep red light. I found the TV's distracting but I had to keep in mind it's clearly a sports-focused place. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bruschetta sandwich (mozzarella, basil, balsamic, on ciabatta). It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to stop by again.

I've been trying to check out each of the restaurants at Assembly Square here and there, and I have to say that I was not impressed by Tony C's. While it's not a bad place to stop for a bite to eat, there is nothing special or remarkable about this place. It is an average bar grill, that felt a lot like a Best Buy with the number of tvs that were everywhere! The one good thing is that if you came here to watch a game or special event, they would have you covered. They literally have tvs everywhere, and the place is loud, So you could definitely watch what you want, but good luck having a conversation or getting the attention of your easily distracted dinner guest. They even had a giant tv in the bathroom! Speaking of the bathroom, it was filthy and so dark it was hard to move around in. I've never been in such a dark restroom, and the coat hooks on the doors were so high, I literally had to jump to reach it. I'm not the tallest person, at 5 ft 2 in., but this is a serious access issue. As for the dining experience, the people who work here are nice and quick, but the food is just okay, and the prices too high for the quality of food you get. I tried chicken wings for appetizers, and while crisp, they seemed dried out and bland. The chicken bruschetta sandwich and fries were solid, but again, not a reason to come racing back here in the future.

This sports bar is huge they have a lot of big TVs include 1 in the bathrooms! They have comfortable leather seats, huge bar in the middle & they have big selection of 42 draft beers to choose from. The food is superb & have generous portions! I Love their salads! You just have just been downgraded 1star! How could that you have so many televisions wide screens can't afford to buy a boxing fight? Are you cheap? Your place gets mobbed & make tons of $$$! You can't afford PaperViews!

For the price and location Tony C's is trying too hard to fit in. The menu is too fancy for a sports bar for the average sports fan. I must have got sat in the only booth where i could not see a TV. They try too hard. Also, I have been 4-5 times and the service is decent that is the only way it gets 2 stars from me

Came in for lunch today and wasn't wowed. The three girls at the hostess desk didn't greet us and that bugged me a lot as I think im a tad more important than the gossip du jour. Service was forgettable. Bartender seems like he was happy enough to go through the motions. Food was better than I thought. Tv's and decor are seriously awesome but the overall experience won't have me coming back next time I'm at the mall unless there's a wait other places.

I came to Tony C's with some friends a few weeks back for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately, no wait. The ambiance here really plays up the sports bar aspect. It would probably be a great spot to watch a sports game as there are flat screen TVs mounted all over the place. I think the prices are a little bit on the high side for the type of food being offered and the fact that this is supposed to be a sports bar, but I was not disappointed by my food option, which was the fish tacos. The dish comes with two decent sized tacos (soft flour tortilla shell) and a side of rice I believe. I asked to substitute my rice with brussel sprouts. The sprouts were either sauteed in butter or steamed and then topped with a butter sauce. I was wondering why a side dish I presumed to be healthy tasted so good until I finished my last sprout and saw the pool of butter at the bottom of the bowl. Oh well. Now to the fish tacos themselves. One of my friends and I both got the tacos and we agreed they were delicious. I think it's because they do them a little different here as the breading for the fish was a straight up eleven herbs and spices fried chicken batter. (Like how I sneaked in a food reference in there?) The batter didn't overpower the fish, however, IMO because they gave you a decent sized chunk of fish for each taco. The accoutrements (mango slaw, pico de gallo, and chipotle aioli) inside the taco itself rounded out the dish very well. Would definitely order the dish again.

Me: the coke is flat (making my drink bad) Bartender: oh I can't tell Moral of the story... If you're too lazy to fix the problem, bother a manager. Buffalo tenders weren't as bad as my last visit. Creamy nachos were salty chips with jalapeños and some cheese Yeah heed the warnings of every past visitor. Just go to Burger Dive. Good food and they sell alcohol

This is more of a 3.5 stars rather than 3. I went here tonight with a friend after searching Assembly and everything was closed because of the snow. I think the idea for this restaurant is adorable and really sweet (my dad is weirdly obsessed with Tony C and we have news articles and photos all around our garage). I ordered the nachos with chili and my friend ordered the chicken bruschetta sandwich. The nachos were huge, I got the chili on the side which was a good choice so I could dip the chips. On the nachos -- lots of cheese, lettuce, guac.. could have used more sour cream but that's okay. My one downfall with the nachos is that they were super super super salty and that's coming from a girl who empties the salt container on everything. I think I'd go with a sandwich next time... This is definitely a place for drinks and game watching rather than dinner, and with that being said, I'm excited to get some beers here for a Bruins game!

Another nacho craving satisfied. The size was good and the nachos were tasty, just needed some salsa on the side to make it really great. Big, open concept restaurant with high ceilings and lots of TVs for your sports needs. The staff was meh, the serve time was ok, middle of the road really. Overall an OK experience but nothing to really pull me back in for another visit.

Let's start by saying I am glad I brought the leftover water I bought at the movie theatre. Our waitress is so rude... From the moment we sat down she has been treating us like we ruined her night. I mean I get it, it's 11 at night and you're stuck at work when all your friends are out drinking, but for the love of God don't take it out on me! I work in the industry and I know how bad it gets, I also know I'm always working for tips. It's really not that hard to be nice... I apologize for that jerk that talked to you inappropriately or that other that didn't tip you earlier, I really do, but can you just forget about it while I'm here and treat me for what I am? A paying customer. That's all I ask for. P.S. The chocolate brownie is awesome. If you end up here (and have a nice waitress) you should definitely get it.

Excellent Quality & Great Service. Went with a group over the weekend for lunch and were seated immediately. The hostess was sweet and the waitress Mariah was very pleasant and on point. She answered all of our questions about the menu and offered great suggestions. She always made sure our waters were filled and checked in often, very attentive . The food was very tasty, the chowder is great. The waitress told us that all the food is fresh which is important to me when ordering seafood. The desserts are delicious, my only regret that I split it! Compliments to the chef. The atmosphere is nice, suitable for all ages (at least in day time). The bathroom is very clean. I look forward to going here again.

Nice environment, TVs and clean place. The 2 stars are only because of that... About the food.... OMG DISGUSTING!!! Fish tacos were between so-so and bad, the spicy sauce was weird and the fish didn't look like fish, and for sure that is not pico de gallo at all... Salmon; I never believed that I could try bad salmon in Boston or any close place, till I came here... No way! Bbq and spicy sauce with bacon and other kind of vegetable, very bad combination. I always finish my plates and is very weird whenI don't like the food.... If you are around Assembly, avoid this place!

First time at Assembly Row. We walked around and looked at a few restaurants in the area. Glad we came here. I'm generally a big fan of any sports bar but this one is great. For food I had a turkey club which was excellent. Only modification would be more mayo. Slightly dry turkey but fresh and tasty. Nothing a little mayo can't fix. Fries were above average as well. My girlfriend got a Reuben. She claims it was one of the best she has ever had. I believe it. Her opinion on the fries was a notch lower than mine. Waitress was good and we were seated right away during a busy hour around dinner time. Atmosphere is great, both in and outdoor seating. Prices are a little on the high side but worth it for the meals above. Would recommend!

This is a really nice place, full of tvs just about everywhere even the bathroom. The apps that we tried were great. We had the creole shrimp and the calamari. They were both very tasty and we wish we had more in the plate. I had a white Sangria yummy while my friend had margaritas. The strawberry basil margarita was not very good. For our entrée we both had fish tacos since it was Cinco de Mayo. There was more fried batter than fish and needed more sauce. Thank God for the manager who helped me out with the sauce. I think the server forgot about us but the manager came to the rescue and bought us our check and extra sauce to bring home. All in all the place was fun but we must try something besides the fish tacos.

  • Kalie E.

Had a great meal here. First, the calamari we soo good! Seriously you have to try it to see what I am taking about. Something about the sweet chili sauce made it fantastic! Some minor issues, it took a while to get our drink order taken, and even longer for our waitress to come back for our dinner order. This wasn't too much of a big deal since the Yankee/Red sox game was on and distracted us. Burgers and salad were good too.

Great place, food is good service is even better. My boyfriend and I have been here a couple times and have always left happy and satisfied. We really enjoyed our server Carolyn the last time we were here she was really sweet and attentive. Great place check it out!

My husband decided to bring me here the day before Mother's Day. The look and vibe was great and we couldn't wait to try their food. The hostess took my number down as they will text me to let me know a table was available. They said it was a 10-15 min wait, so my husband thought it was a great idea to get some drinks and wait by the bar. We were having such a great time that we didn't even realize 45 min had passed and still no text for our table. Long story short we just sat at the bar! The girls at the bar were great and the food was awesome considering we just stuck to appetizers. We had the Artichoke Spinach Dip and the Buffalo Chicken Tenders. Absolutely tasteful! We look forward to coming back and trying out the rest of the menu.

Went to watch the Men's NCAA Championship on Monday April 6th with a couple friends and I have to say it was pretty packed (as expected).... From the moment I walked in, it felt like the bartender was annoyed with my group and it felt like we were a burden on her life (bartender with Irish accent)... Our requests were simple that night... Drinks, drinks, more drinks and a few appetizers - nothing out of the ordinary and there were not any tedious requests.... Body language/interactions - was terrible... seemed annoyed as if we did something wrong or disrespecting her... Or maybe our group resembled someone she had a bad experience with... Not sure.. Tapping on counter as we placed our orders- which, in my opinion says that we are wasting her time or hurry the f up... "What do you want now..." I visit bars and restaurants weekly and I am aware of how customers/guests should be treated and I notice when other guests are being treated differently... I have been in the restaurant for over a decade and this was not a good experience.... One of the reasons I will continue to choose Earls over Tony C's.... Regardless of the sh*t service I received, I tipped $28 on a $112 bill - maybe that will change her approach with other guests going forward.... Calamari, chicken strips and Nachos were all good- no complaints at all...

I went here on a random Saturday night just for drinks and nachos. LOL. Creamy nachos for $10 that for some reason I destroyed basically all by myself. It looks really overwhelming with all of the chips, cheese, lettuce, and guac on top, so it's a little rough to eat, but it's addicting. It's real addicting. It was hard to eat, but I kept going. My friends barely touched it and yet I just kept picking at it, chip by chip, scooping up all of the toppings. I wish I added extra jalapenos because there were like 4 pieces and adding a nice spicy kick to it would've made this a lot more addicting. But for a group of 3, these nachos are A LOT. It may seem expensive, but it's definitely worth. There's a large selection of drinks, with half the menu being just liquor. A few pricey cocktails, plenty of beer, and a good selection of wine too. Oh and there's a lot of TVs too, like Buffalo Wild Wings amount. There's one so that almost everyone at the table gets a chance to watch TV. Rather than just 1 channel of sports playing the entire time, there's like 5 different ones! Wonderful for me. This place is also loud as hell, maybe because it was a Saturday night. It's really uncomfortable sometimes trying to scream while talking to people LOL. Even the waitress hahahaha. But damn it may look packed, but somehow we got seated immediately with a group of 3! This place is huge! Plenty of seats that can accommodate large groups.

Literally the worst establishment I've ever been to. We came here just to watch the game and received nothing but the worst service and below average food. If you want to come to a place and be treated terribly, you should come here. You can look at my other reviews and see I never do this, but this place shouldn't be allowed to make money.

I love this place! I think I could almost give them five stars, but I try to reserve those for truly incredible experiences, and I don't like to just hand them out left and right. But I think they are almost there. I've been here twice in the past three or four months or so and have had great service and food both times. There were no sports events on TV either time I was here, but I did get a great view of several TV's both times. I think they had SportCenter or something on on some of the TV's and some other sports related broadcasts on the other ones, but no local games were on the two days I happened to be here. I think my favorite dish is the Chicken Conigliaro. The only thing I have to remember for future visits is to have the pasta cooked more, as it comes al dente, which I don't care for at all. Beyond that it was delicious food. The chicken was nice and moist, hot and flavorful, and pasta had great texture and flavor. I would like to see them serve a little bit larger portion on the pasta though, but it still a good deal. The second time I can, I got a cheeseburger with bacon and it was awesome! I can't say it was the best I've ever had, but it was awefully close! Definately in the top five. I can't recall for certain if they have WiFi or not, but I seem to remember that they do. I'll have to double check on that next time.

Fish taco's were excellent probably one of the best I ever had. The mushroom burger was also very good, and the nachos with chilly was very taste. The large screen TV's are everywhere and enjoyed watching the Red Sox game while we are. What's not to like, an excellent all around experience!!!!

I came here at 8pm and got seated at 8:20, which was a huge plus on a game night. Once seated we waited forever and ever for our drinks (our waitress didn't even allow us to put a food order in). Then, a year later we were allowed to order. Once we put our food in, it didn't come until 1.5hrs later and only after complaining to a manager twice. Our drinks were never refilled (alcohol) and our waters that were requested were never given. When I complained, the waitress argued with me rather than trying to remedy the situation. Rather than argue for a 4th time, we gave up trying to speak to a manager about getting basic customer service right. We all sat around and watched my coworker eat the wrong order that was delivered 15+ minutes after we finished. Managers excuse: we're busy. Welcome to the club... How is that an excuse?

Great atmosphere with lots of beers and tasty food! We have been a few times and had good experiences. The staff was friendly, attentive and full of great recommendations. The decor and atmosphere of the place is my favorite. I definitely recommend supporting this place!!

We watched the Superbowl here in 2015. The place was packed but because it was so big we didn't wait long. There isn't a bad seat in this place because there is a TV on every wall and even in the bathrooms. Food was amazing and even better priced. I imagine they do specials for all major games. Go in and enjoy it.

Venue is kid-friendly. Staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Lobster roll was good, buffalo wings were delicious with the ranch dressing and sweet potatoes were tasty.

Really bad. Service was slow, when we did get food it was wrong or inedible. Wife ordered the turkey burger and got a veggie burger. I ordered the Ruben and it was absolutely disgusting. I am amazed someone would bring it to the table it looked so gross. The one good thing is there was no argument about getting it removed from the bill. I will not be going back.

Burger was mediocre, service was HORRIBLE. They had a great beer selection so there's that.

Classic bar food, lots of TVs and a fairly large beer list. That is a quick summary of what Tony C's is. Good place to watch a game in the new Assembly Row. Nothing too fancy and nothing all that memorable. This goes into the category of a good place to get chicken wings, drink beer, and catch the game. It's a big space so it is pretty good for larger groups as well.

Great place to sit and eat with family and friends. Alot of big screen tvs and melodies galore! Very laid back and relaxed. Definitely would return again.

Great food, horrible service. The waitress we had seemed like she was on the last hour of a 16hr shift. I usually don't judge a place based on their service (everybody has bad days) but first impressions are important, and she killed that place for me. Poor attitude and rude body language over shadowed what might have been an ok dinning experience.

I love Tony C's! I can't help but rave about the amazing Chicken Sandwich. It is hands down the BEST in the greater Boston area :)

Came here for dinner at 8:15 and was told a 20 min wait. Luckily a few mins later an outside table opened up and was seated. Maybe 5 mins went by before our waitress came for our drink order, but then had to wait 20 mins to get water and a soda! We considered walking out while waiting. Shortly after, our food came. The Caesar salad and bacon burger were good, but again our waitress wasn't to be seen for awhile. After we asked to refill our soda, I have her my card so we could get out sooner. When I checked the bill, she gave herself a $.09 tip, which granted isn't much, but I've still never had someone add their own tip to a bill! I left a few bucks extra and called it a night. Probably won't be going back again. On the plus side, the atmosphere is nice with a million tvs.

Really enjoyed Tony C's. Nachos were enormous and very good, enough cheese and with guacamole, we added chicken which was very good. Huge turkey club! Great beer and wine list and reasonable beer prices for a new place. Had the most comfortable chairs in dining room, and the bar stools looked the same. Found it to be very roomy, was able to bring in all my shopping bags and place next to table. Lots of tv's and even one in women's bathroom (however, weird red lighting in restroom) Large windows will open when warm, and you will be able to sit outside in spring, can't wait for that. Overall, great and will be back!

Worst service ever sitting at Bar. As a server myself I am usually very empathetic to other servers but what I experienced on Sunday was beyond unacceptable. The bartender had the personality of a tree and clearly is in the wrong Industry. He barely had a pulse when asked a question about availability of bar seats ... typically the bartender would know if/when customers would be leaving - or his station would be turning. Once seats were found and food ordered he asked if we wanted to leave tab open - I indicated I didn't want to open a tab at all. He then proceeded to come back and rather than explain the policy stand there and mumbling asked for card. Poor job by management to couch their staff on how interact in a friendly manner with patrons ... what a novel idea. Food arrived and burger was perfectly cooked ... our bartender, never came back ... never attempted to see if food came and needed anything - actually no one asked us or paid attention. Thankfully a bar back was super kind to get a side of mayo when requested. He actually also helped again when we had to ask for bill AND waited 10 minutes for any acknowledgement to pay. Even for poor service I'll tip 18% or more ... typically I tip 20% ++ - barely left 15%. I advised the hostess when I left - best burger, worst service = never returning

This place is pretty good as far as sports bars go. Beer selection is great, food is average. The staff is the one thing that would make me hesitant about going back. All of the bartenders are bland and don't seem to enjoy working here. LIVEN UP! YOUR PERSONALITY IS THE WAY BARTENDERS MAKE MONEY!

I called the restaurant to see if they had bernaise steak sauce. They didn't have it, but said they would make it no problem. I found that to be extremely gracious on their part. The service was amazing! The manager came out to me to see how the meal was. He was very professional and nice. You could tell the manager and owner really care about the customers. The food was great as well. All in all I really liked the restaurant and I will be back very soon. Also the sauce was amazing lol!
