Has anyone ever tried to eat in this Wendy's? OMG ladies, within 5 minutes 5 sketchy looking guys will be staring at you and inching toward your table. I once saw a woman throw a fit, A FIT claiming that she ordered a vanilla shake and got chocolate. I imagine working at this Wendy's would be more stressful than working at any other Wendy's. I have never seen more drama at a fast food restaurant than this one.

I want to give two stars but I really can't. I'm not sure if it's just something to do with this particular little section of Salem or the management at this specific store or what. Showed up at about five minutes til 1 AM maybe seven... sat out on the street while some "gangstah" type folk blocked traffic for no reason for 5 minutes and then took another 5 minutes almost for me to get to the order area to be told they had closed. Really? Because if I had gotten there 7 minutes ago something tells me you would have said the same thing. I had a feeling that the people cavorting in the street had something to do with the fact that they were closed. If I didn't like Wendy's so much I'd find another spot on my way home from work but sadly I can't. I hope the GM read's this and reaches out to me. I'd leave my number but I don't want to be harassed. Get it together. Please. I'm in the food and bev. industry myself and this is just a disgrace.

Can we give less than 1 star? I already had low expectation as it is a fast food place. We are in town on vacation and have came here twice as it was convenient, but will not come back a third. Both times our order was wrong, and both times there was gangster trash hanging out in the lobby screaming or playing music. If you have an option go some where else, or at least use the drivethru.

I went through the drive thru and it seemed like any other Wendy's. Sour Cream and chive baked potato and a salad. They gave me a fork, napkin and condiments so I was a happy camper. The staff isn't that personable but I wouldn't be either if I had to deal with customers that wanted 5 star service and food quality for $2 per entree.

I have given this place far more tries than I should have. The food is sub-par, not just compared to other fast food places, but compared to other Wendy's locations as well! The service varies by employee. Some are polite and do the best they can with what and who they're working with. Others could not care less whether or not you get what you ordered or whether or not you were charged correctly. Don't even waste your time here.

It's waaaay better than fast food. It's garbage! Navigating the drive-thru of this Wendy's is like Indiana Jones at the Temple of Doom. You come to close to wall and it's like that huge boulder is right behind you screaming along to crush you. In reality, the only thing that comes screaming along from this Wendy's is the food as it leaves your mouth or anus. So yea, I got food poisioning here once. I'm a little bit biased, however if you want to clean out your digestive tract......then by all means.....bon appétit!

Fast food no more! I'm not an alarmist, but a peek into the nutritional value of the new Baconator was alarming. Okay, yes, it was tasty, but the meal with a medium Coke and medium fries was a grand total of 1,470 CALORIES and 71 grams of FAT. An average man is only supposed to eat around 2,200 calories and somewhere between 40 to 50 grams of fat per day. If that's not repellent enough, the Baconator was no bigger than the bite-sized 99 cent burgers. Although Lent is over, perhaps I can abstain from fast food for the next forty weekdays. Then if it sticks, I just may be able to say no more to fast food.

Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of Wendy's. There is nothing that hits the spot like a 5-Piece (chicken nuggets), (small) Chili (and medium) Fries, and Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, followed by a Frosty Treat. That is the ticket. I think it's restaurants like this one that gives my beloved Wendy's a bad name. Everything was dry and or burned. What's the deal?

Since the founder of this fast food chain passed away, Wendy's has been different. Years ago they gave up the salad bars and have marginalized the baked potato. Now, was once and record of excellence in service and consistent quality , there is mediocrity. I once chatted with the assistant manager of this Wendy's and asked how it was their service was so much better than their competitors? He had no answer - however, in conversation it came out that they were taught to listen and think before they act. Evidently this fundamental training has been lost. It appears that the staff struggle to perform their duties and definitely do not stop and think before they act. Having noted the reviews here were terrible, I made the effort to stop by and lace a simple order, "Grilled Chicken wrap with lettuce only and a chocolate frosty with a key tag". I had placed this order for my son many times and figured it was a fair benchmark. They completed the order in a timely manner, and the quality was consistent with Wendy's standards. But it was difficult to get the order communicated, requiring several careful repetitions. As for the clientele, it is whomever is about. This is not a trendy neighborhood, so don't expect the jet set crowd... Curious, I repeated the experiment in Andover, Woburn and both shops in Lynn. They all did fine, with varying levels of grace. Woburn was charming and Boston street Lynn actually chased me down with the rest of the change (my bad, their excellence). Note to management: Go back to the old way of training and get back to cleaning everything several times a day. These two details are often sketchy and need constant reinforcement. So, if you are up for less junky fast food, Wendy's is still OK...

A surreal experience. Customer got into a shouting match with the guy behind the counter over what benefits the manager position might have for an applicant. Customer waxed philosophical, asking "What would being the manager of a Wendy's get me, anyway? Will it make me a better person? Will it make the world a better place?" Excellent questions. I almost wanted to engage him in conversation but he put his headphones on and left before I could. My Frosty was good.

I never went to this Wendy's much in my first couple years living in Salem, because the spicy wraps were making me sick consistently. Could have just been me, but, it turned me away. Recently I've gone to the drive-thru several times, just out of convenience. The line can be absolutely horrible. People drive away on a regular basis. The last time, I ordered something that is on the menu online but apparently they no longer have. So I got a spicy chicken salad, which was just not good. The spicy chicken doesn't line up with the salad, especially since it's soft and not actually crispy. Additionally, the lemon caesar dressing doesn't exactly compliment the buffalo well... however this is on Wendy's corporate, not this location. What is on this location, however, is that they sold me on a frosty but then went ahead and didn't put what I asked for on my burger, and gave me 2 thinner patties than the ones I am supposed to get on a baconator. Like, seriously, why did I just spend 13 dollars at a fast food restaurant for something I don't even want? I wish I took the time to dissect my meal at the drive-thru like I find most people doing nowadays. Some one wrote about other Wendy's on here, such as Woburn. That is a way better location. This one cannot seem to get anything right. I don't know if people like me who don't go back to complain is why this place hasn't gotten better, or what.

I love Wendy's, and I love to Eat Great, Even Late. However, I can't tell you how many times I've been to this Wendy's well before their advertised closing time only to be told that they are closed. Perhaps I could sympathize with the workers on this, if they didn't constantly SKIP ON THE SAUCE. If you order anything with dressing or sauce (nuggets, baked potatoes, salad, etc), they will never give you the sauce that goes with it unless you specifically notice that it's missing and ask them for it before you drive away.
