My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights this past June. We had a wonderful experience. Dan and Daniel were friendly and accommodating without being intrusive (which can sometimes happen at a small B&B). The breakfast was superb! We booked Room 7 because we read about the view and we weren't disappointed. From what we could tell Room 7 and the Penthouse were the only two will the full deck and panoramic views (which was important to us). If we go back (and I want to) we would probably get the pent house or a larger room. We were traveling with a lot of luggage so it was difficult to maneuver in the small space. That being said, if you're looking for a romantic space and a great view, Room 7 is lovely. You really can't go wrong at Benchmark!

Took my partner here for a birthday weekend - absolutely loved it! The owners and the manager were so helpful answering questions before our visit, and in arranging to have flowers in the room when we arrived. The rooms are super clean and well-appointed - it's a really beautiful old house. The place is a short walk to the heart of Commercial Street, a shorter walk to the town beach, but tucked away on a quiet side street. Oh, and did I say the owners and Benji the manager are wonderful? They're wonderful. I left a couple of jackets behind when we left, and despite my offer to pay, they mailed them back to us at no charge. Our dog loved it, too - nice big, comfortable bed, so the humans didn't disturb his beauty rest; private entrance so he could come and go without bothering people (or getting stepped on); and the beaches are all close, with the town beach a 2 minute walk and race point a 5 minute drive from the Inn. We did bring a big blanket to protect the white beadspreads we saw in the room pics, although the owner has since told me they have old beach towels they could have loaned us.

My lady-friend and I had a weekend getaway in Provincetown where we stayed at the Benchmark. Overall, the trip was wonderful and the Benchmark played no small part in that. The new owners, Daniel and Daniel, are super-friendly, accommodating, and focused on making sure our stay was easy and comfortable. We had champagne waiting for us upon arrival, were given thoughtful restaurant and shopping recommendations (they will book any reservations for you), etc. etc. The view from our room overlooking the harbor was beautiful and the perfect place to eat the lovely breakfast they provide. We will definitely be returning!

My husband and I stayed at the Benchmark a few weekends ago. It was a beautiful little Inn with great room amenities. We love dthe Fireplace. The room we stayed in had a private entrance and a little balcony facing the beach. Benji the Inn Keeper was awesome and very accomodating. The best part was being able to bring our dog. Goober loved it as well and gives it a Two Paws Up!

Awesome! Daniel is a perfect host- super friendly, with lots of helpful recommendations! The inn is very clean, and our room has everything we need. A perfect location too! I absolutely recommend!!

We actually live in town, but stayed at the Benchmark Inn for the weekend while our we were having some renovations done. What a great place! Don (winter manager) was helpful and friendly to ensure we had a great stay. Room was nice and the fireplace and Jacuzzi tub was just what we needed to relax and enjoy our "staycation". We were in room 5 which is one of the smaller rooms, but it was still very nice. Thanks for a great weekend!

This is a very cute B&B in Ptown. Very clean and doesnt have that creepy old dank feeling a lot of B&B can have. But I must say that unless you want your vacation managed by a staff who executes every detail with the most uptight of rules and regulations, don't choose Benchmark Inn. I had an altercation with the staff and owner over a "mandatory turn down service" in which wet clothes (from being caught in the rain) were taken off hangers and put in my suitcase with dry clothes..not once but twice. They completely ignored my request. Muzak plays at the pool, even when the entire group at the pool asked for it to be changed, we got a one-word, "No" All of the guests were joking about the obsessive-compulsive atmosphere with varying degrees of irritation. I overheard one of the employees telling a guest that they know where guests are at all time and exactly what we are doing! Creepy. I felt like a guest at an uptight person's house, not a paying customer. This place takes what could be a GREAT B&B and kills it with a boot camp atmosphere. And...its quite expensive.

I just returned home after a five night stay at the Benchmark Inn in Provincetown. This was my 8th trip to p-town, and this was by far the best place I have ever stayed there. Wonderful, understated, modern cape cod decor. The rooms and all of the common areas we meticulously clean. My room was incredibly spotless, with a comfortable bed and pillows, nice linens, a ceiling fan and central A/C to make for a restful nights sleep. The owner, Park, was incredibly friendly and yet unobtrusive at the same time. A great quiet location in the west end, a half block off of Commercial Street. Just a couple minutes walk to the center of town. I couldn't recommend this place enough for a great stay in town.
