Got back Nantucket for the season, I started this season with Walter's NewYorker. A classic sandwich with Russian dressing, pastrami and turkey. It also comes with coleslaw. Walters have the best pastrami Reuben too. That was my favorite last year. This year prices has slightly increased but " it's Nantucket!!!" I am definitely going back for the Reuben. Good thing about this place is people are friendly and kind. While on Nantucket one must stop by.

Excellent sandwiches.....very large portions., bread is always fresh, good quality deli meat. Service is good and friendly. They offer 1/2 sandwiches which is plenty for me.

Best sandwich deal on the island. Great sandwiches, chips, side dishes, and soups. Everything fresh and made perfectly. This is a secret spot to buy a FANTASTIC Chocolate Chip cookie or huge brownie too. Fast, fresh, and a good value.

Don't get the lobster rolls. They are awful. They don't toast or butter the bread--which would have made a huge difference. And it was clear that the lobster was not the freshest batch. I feel bad only judging them on this, but that is the only thing that our family ordered. In hindsight, we should have hedged our order and gotten other things (tip: do this), but lobster rolls are usually so good, and this was terribly disappointing. And they were expensive. About 20 dollars each, so our quick and casual meal (no sit down space) was almost $100 dollars for five people.

By Odin's raven, this place is superb. Every sandwich I've had here is served on tasty bread and contains fresh, flavorful ingredients that don't compete with each other in terms of taste but blend together into a chorus of deliciousness. The meatball with cheddar sandwich is my personal favorite, every time I get it I want to strap the bag to my face and inhale the wonderful scent of the red sauce and meatball. Price is standard island cost on the sandwiches, but the two-buck bakery goods are great if you want to grab a good-quality dessert. All in all, the experience is great from stem to stern, sandwiches and sweets are top notch, and the customer service is friendly.

This joint has good sandwiches with quality ingredients. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to find this place. Walter's wants to be a New York deli replica, but there just is not enough meat in their sandos. I do like how the food comes out in a timely manner. You can enhance your experience to 4-star if you say "I LOVE WALTAHHH!!" before you go.

The waiter at Dune tipped us off to this place and he was right! Small hole in the wall on the waterfront - perfect for grabbing sandwiches if you aree headed to Jetties beach. Get their specialty sandwiches - dont create your own!. I can't remember the name - had half pastrami and half corn beef and it was amazing!

Walters is very good and neck in neck with Fresh. They have great roast beef and serve great cuts of boars head. classic deli.
