Where should I start with Mystic Station? The ever rotating selection of craft beers? The absolute perfection that is their burger? Their ability to make so many great dishes? This place is a pub. With a great beer selection, a fire place, an intimate atmosphere and a staff that wants to make sure you have the best time possible. This is my go to place if I am in the area. It is friendly enough where I can take my kids before bedtime but swank enough where I want to come back after tucking them in. The beer selection rocks! I have tried more beers here then any most other places combined. Yes they have bud if that's your thing but it's not on draft. Solid selections no matter if you are looking for an ipa, porter, or ale. Trouble is when you find something you love it may not be there when you go back. But that's not a bad problem to have, especially with their selection This place also makes the best burger in the area. But that's not to say that they can't make a rocking arancini or great tips. The specials are great. I would say they are in between regular pub fare and a gastro. Right where they should be in my opinion. Great food but not too pretentious. They have the best place in their area if not all of Malden for what they do. It's steps from the orange line and the people working here really care. I am here at least once a month.

Our waitress was holding down the fort all by herself and she kicked ass! I had the raspberry mojito which was delicious and my husband had a few captain & cokes which were yum-o. We got the fish tacos for an appetizer, not too shabby. The fish was tender and the sauce they drizzled on top was amazzzzing. For lunch I had the steak tips with sweet potato fries & sauteed broccoli. The steak tips were cooked perfect, the fries were tasty but honestly the broccoli was my favorite part, I don't know what they do to it but hot damn don't stop! The mister had the bacon burger & fries. His burger was a little over cooked but was still juicy. This is the perfect place to go to for a nice lunch or date night.

I'm glad I held true to my word, what's that word you ask? Whenever I give a bad review to a place that has mostly good reviews, unless they insulted me, I go back and give it another try. So I went back in on Monday night with my son. We both had burgers, and they were tasty and as important, cooked perfect. I opted for the sweet potato fries and he got the regular, had I known the regular fries were that good, I would have got them, I believe they are seasoned maybe with just salt and pepper but regardless very good. So the staff wears Tshirts that read "we don't have bud light on draught" I find this insulting to people who want a bud light, but I'm not one of them, I personally think that bud light is one of the most horrific beers in the world. That said, it does outsell all beers 3-1 (that carry it) in every bar / restaurant in America. Fact: Americans like terrible beer. Now having destroyed this place the first time around, I don't want to make this a giant love fest. A few things wont allow me to get this place to 5 stars. The first, upon entering (they have patio seating on the sidewalk) a dog scared the shit out of me and my son both barking like a lunatic at us. While I appreciate dogs and the owners who love them, unless they are a service dog, keep your pets home, I don't see the need for them at a restaurant. I appreciate them being part of the family, but again if it barks at people like that, keep fido home. The 2nd thing and much like the first time I went, there's no greeter or host, I'm not sure if this is a Monday thing or not, but the bartender who can be busy, is the one who had to tell me "anywhere you like". Maybe a sign that says seat yourself ? Maybe I missed it ? Lastly, it was hard to find a clean table, It could be that the people just left and that's the table I chose, but again, if you have a hostess or a greeter then this is not an issue, because I'm sure they would clean it or find a clean table for you. Finally I ordered an IPA first one on the menu this night, it said served with an orange peel, but mine didn't have one? Maybe I read it wrong ? So my thoughts on this place, I think it lives up to it's yelp reviews, I think the owners care, I think they put out a quality product and I think the first time around I caught them on an off night. Now if Malden Square could just figure out the parking..... Tear down that awful city hall....

A seemingly inconspicuous place that we chose for the outdoor seating because we had our dog with us. But to my surprise, the food and service was spot on! There were only 2 outdoor tables and it was really hot out but the umbrellas helped with the shade a bit. The interior is pretty spacious and trendy, with a long bar and lots of surrounding tables. I had the turkey club with sweet potato fries and my parents had the fish and chips and hamburger. Everything was delicious! The turkey club had really amazing bacon on it. The sweet potato fries were just how I like them. The fish and chip plate was huuge, with fat pieces of nicely battered white fish (not sure what kind of fish to be exact). And the fries that came with it were really good. No word on the burger but my dad ate all of it and then some so it must have been tasty. The food was good but what really shone was the service! The waitress was incredibly sweet and provided us with a lot of water because it was so hot out. She even got a small tray to put water in for our dog. Even though we were seated outside she was very attentive. Later, a guy who I presume to be the owner added ice to the water for our dog. He even gave him some bacon. Feed my dog and win my love easily. Really glad we stopped by for food and while I'm not in Malden often, I would likely come back here if I am!

Great service, the best burgers around and a good selection of taps...what more can you ask for? This is a trendy gastropub in a suburb location so it's not too hard to get parking and you don't have to battle the same crowd that you find at the 'hip' squares (i.e., davis). The food is very high quality, the burgers are stacked so high they serve them with a steak knife in the center. To be honest, I haven't been able to finish a burger because they're too big. It's a nice locally owned business and I've seen/talked with the owner a few times. They keep a couple of ciders on tap too for us non-beer drinkers. They just put in outdoor seating and I'll be looking forward to going back.

Updating my review based on the terrific service we received from Mary for lunch. She was informative about the specials and beer on tap. They ran out of the Moscow Mule but recommended the iced Irish Coffee which was amazing. I even received extra Irish cream on the side, which is made in-house. Loved the huge nacho app with guacamole too. The pico, guac, and chips arrived fresh and definitely could feed 4 people easily. The Mediterranean tray was also a nice salty snack while we waited for our entrees. Unfortunately, I could not finish my small chile because it was too rich and I was halfway into a coma from the apps but it's certainly one must try.

This is a solidly good place. We were famished and exhausted after a day of moving when we finally got here. It was the perfect place to be. Not too pretentious, not too loud and a wonderful, gracious waitress (wish I remembered her name!). Great beer craft beers, good selection of spirits and well-made cocktails. Great place!

The Downeast cider is pretty cheap here at 5 dollars a pint.

Very courteous staff. The bartender very patiently and politely helped me sample the huge variety of beers that they had on tap. The outside seating was very pleasant during the summers. Whenever I went in alone, the bartenders kept me engaged with nice conversations.

This place is awesome. Welcomed by everyone when we walked in, including the owner. Started with fried pickles and buffalo chicken. Both fantastic. Had steak tips and tried the bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato and regular fries. Steak tips were great, burger was unreal. Finished with the beer and bacon ice cream, which was perfect and unique. Our waitress was Amanda and she was unbelievably kind and attentive. I'm going to college close by, so I'll definitely be going back soon.

Great place. Everyone was so nice. The food was delicious. As we walked out, we were discussing what we would order the next time. We loved it.

So I have lived in Malden for about a year and always walked by this place and decided that I wanted to try it out. I arrived there today at around 2PM today and got a seat right up at the bar. One of the first things I notice is the casual yet classy interior. It is nice and clean on the inside, but at the same time, you don't feel like you have to really get dressed up for this place. There are a couple TVs and I really like the black tap handles for the draught beers. It gives it a nicer look and goes along well with the overall atmosphere of the bar. There is also outdoor seating, which is good if you are with a few other people. The bartender who ended up serving me was Jordyn. She was very welcoming and made me a Bloody Mary, which I really liked. It seems like the people next to me like her, since they were talking to her a lot, which is a sign that she is a good bartender. I also had the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich with the fries on the side and it was amazing. I highly recommend it. I like that there is a good selection of beers on draught, (ales, lagers, stouts, etc.) and the one I decided to order was Be Hoppy IPA, which was very good. The only negative I can think about this place, which for me is not a negative, is that it is the only bar/restaurant I know of, that does not serve Bud Light on tap. Again, I don't mind because I prefer good beer, but that might be a problem for some people. To sum it all up, if you are looking for a place in the Malden area to get some good food and maybe a couple of drinks, I definitely would recommend this place. I do not know how it is for a night out, but I definitely think it is good for some food and drinks, whether you are by yourself or with other people. Unfortunately, since I am moving from Malden back to Boston, at the end of the week, today might have been my first and last time eating there. I will not count out going there on Thursday after work though, if I can. If I am ever in the Malden area after moving, I will definitely consider coming to this place again.

Came here last night and got the same steak tip salad that I was raving about in my last review. this time it only came with three small steak tips on it. I asked the waitress why there were so few (I'm paying like $18 for this salad, there should be more than 3 steak tips...) and she told me that was the norm. I told her that the last time I was here the plate was more substantial than that. she didn't have much of a response and didn't do anything to make up for the fact that I was an unhappy customer. not thrilled about my experience there last night, and I would not order that salad again even though I loved it the first time.

Sat at the bar lastnight for dinner with my boyfriend and thought this place was great. We had originally been quoted for a 20 min wait but there were open seats at the bar so we opted to sit there. For food we had Arancini of the day- amazing steak one def recommend! Asian wings- tasty but sticky lots of napkins Fried pickles- always a plus Boyfriend had the burger- I didn't try it but my boyfriend said it was cooked just right I had a turkey sandwich- delicious Oh and the fries they serve are also awesome The bartenders were attentive enough and friendly. Side note this place gets LOUD the girls sitting behind us were screaming. So I wouldn't expect to have any intimate Convo here

This place was great. The owner was working behind the bar when we walked in for our first time and he cheerfully said, "HEY! How are you?! Come on in!" Quite the welcoming for not being regulars. He asked if we wanted a table or seat at the bar and we said we were good with either and said he had two seats at the bar right in front of him. Best decision we made as he took great care of us. He recommended dishes (as the owner - that's gotta be kinda tough, no?) and what was a great sign - is that all the patrons around us were raving about the place and were clearly regulars - telling us about all their favorite dishes and the history of the spot - how the new owner took it over and has been doing the place more than justice. Apparently whatever it was before was well liked as well. Anyways - as for recommendations - first of all - the beer list is fantastic. They had Green Flash Palate Wrecker and I killed it. So good. My wife had a sour beer (she loves sours) and loved it as well. I had a hankering for wings and they make their buffalo sauce with Absolut Peppar and it was KILLER. I could've used them a little more crispy - but that's a personal preference. The couple next to us recommended the Buffalo Chicken grilled cheese and it definitely did not disappoint. We also got the Jalapeno Burger - and I've never ordered a Jalapeno Burger but the owner recommended it - it was KILLER. The smell was smoky - the taste was epic. I mean... we finished everything on our plates and were in food comas when we left. The only thing we didn't finish was the fries and 2 onion rings. We took them home they were that good. That tells you something. We'll be back - and honestly - I hope to become a regular because they treated me like one and even challenged me to remember the owner's and one of the regular patron's names for next time (Brian and Steve - I GOT THIS). Loved it!

Came here based on the Yelp reviews and pics. It was a waste of an uber ride. It was hard to find because it is on a street lined with stores and restaurants that all look the same. Once inside, we sat at the bar and the girl who came to serve us basically threw the menus at us. In addition, she had a serious attitude issue. We ended up leaving there after one drink which didn't even taste good but I'm never one to waste alcohol.

Great burger options and brew selection. Always a great vibe for a place in Malden! Lots of locals around, as well as always friendly owner, employees, and customers. Love bringing my friends out here for a low key night for laughs and brews.

Loved District 7 when it was here. Mystic Station looks like they have updated the interior since then. The beer list is phenomenal. You will not be able to find any of those beers anywhere else in Malden. Menu has a lot of great choices. We had to start with the buffalo chicken dip, served with fresh tortilla chips. The burger I had was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Instead of fries, I got a side of broccoli with it to be healthier. Our server, Mary, was spectacular. She was knowledgeable about the beer list and very friendly. Bonus - they have keno

For apps, we split the fish tacos, and those were absolutely delicious. I've been craving for fish tacos for a while and these definitely hit the spot! For entrees, I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger while my boyfriend ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger. I asked for mine to be medium well while the bf asked for his to be cooked medium; I can handle a bit of red in my meat, but when the food arrived, it looked like there had been a mix-up. Mine was cooked medium, and my boyfriend's was cooked medium well instead. The medium was too red for me, so we wound up just switching burgers. While they were both good burgers, I would've preferred to stick with my original burger that I had ordered. Note: when you order a burger cooked medium at most places, they probably overcook it to a well-done. This place is not like most other places--this place does it right. The fries were absolutely delicious. Light and fluffy on the inside with just the perfect amount of crispiness on the outside. TLDR; My only complaint is that they didn't cook my burger as well as I would've hoped but other than that, everything was great. I'll be back for sure but I hope they'll get my order right next time!

This is a really good place. I normally only give a restaurant 4 out of 5 stars after just one visit as I tend to only give 5 out of 5 for consistency; however, the group I was with was here for 3 hours and the entire time, the service and food was consistent. The service is friendly and always available without being in your face. The food is spot on good. There's really nothing more to say other than you can't go wrong trying this place out.

Great adorable food, tasty drinks, and great service.... we will be coming back very soon. I got the buffalo chicken grilled cheese which was served with some amazing fries.

So many good review but I was less than impressed. Ordered a drink with club soda and it was flat, making the drink horrible. Had my heart set on a steak, but no steaks on the menu. Decor is nice, place seems friendly. Went to dinner elsewhere and left the drink untouched.

After coming in to this establishment looking to grab dinner with my husband, we were told to take a seat at the bar because there were no tables available for 2 people. In reality, the last booth in the place was open. A 3 top walks in and is sat immediately at that booth. When you have an open booth and paying customers have walked in you sit them, it doesn't matter that you feel it needs to be filled by 3 or more people and we are only a table of 2. This immediately gave me the notion that all patrons are not treated equal. It became evident when there was a "large" party that was being rowdy. He complained to his staff in earshot of us, I would have paid to see him actually say something to the patrons. When you are the manager or owner don't talk about your patrons in front of other patrons. That is just bad business and also made me not want to stay.

Under new ownership and thoroughly updated with a top notch craft beer list, this is THE place to go right now in Malden Center. And it's not even close. We didn't get into the food much past appetizers, but all of them were very well done. The cheese/chicken dip thing in the skillet....get that. VERY tasty. The bartender was telling us about the city's demographics and all the new construction (condos and apartments) that will be built in the next few years, which drove their decision to establish themselves now. I think it will prove to be a wise one.

Good food, drinks and a chill place. Not somewhere I would go expecting a crazy night, but more of a relaxed night in Malden.

Great food, wonderful service! I am new to the area and thought I would give it a try based on the excellent reviews... They were all spot on! The owner was so friendly and so involved in the restaurant. Kudos to him... He's done a great job! I'd recommend anyone in the area to go!

Nice enough place. Outdoor setting, great mijito,ok Manhattan. Not great. I ordered an extra dry glenfidich Manhattan and they charged me $18!!!! The mijito was$8 completely reasonable. But $18 for a Manhattan!? Even in an upscale downtown place that is a lot but hee in a half asssed gastro pub that is crazy. When I questioned it the bartender looked at me like she realized that was way way too much but couldn't do anything about it. There are a lot of places around here including hugh oneil's right next door. Their food is better in my opinion and they won't charge you $18 for a cocktail.

Went in for dinner at 5pm...order the buff chic dip..took forever to come out...it was burnt..not impressed...ordered the steak tips they were ok...not sure we will go back...left a not so good taste in our mouth...to say the least!!

This is one of the newer places in Malden that I would love to be cool, unique AND friendly, but sadly have not been any of those in my opinion. The food is yummy, the cocktail choices are good but overpriced for Malden. My servers have been great both times having dinner there. I did have very unpleasant service from one female bartender who had a superego on her that just wouldn't quit on one night. I would love to feel more welcome, and more joy in this place. Smiles please? I'll try again.

After seeing favorable reviews my husband and I decided to give it a try. We were split on the food. I loved my Salmon Vera Cruz but my husband felt the fish and chips were a little overcooked (but he's fussy). Most impressive was the service The bartenders were so friendly and fun. They were very busy but still managed to be attentive and engaging. The other patrons were also very friendly which made the experience that much more enjoyable.

I don't know how it took us 6 months to hear about Mystic Station, but I am SO GLAD that it's so close to us in Malden. There aren't many places near us in Melrose that have a good beer selection. Mystic and O'Neills are competing for the best in the area and it's nice to have 2 options. Mystic's local beer selection is killer. It would be awesome to see an occasional tap takeover here! There are 2 things about Mystic that I think give it a leg up on O'Neills (which is our regular in the area). First is the food. Mystic's food is awesome. Deviled eggs! Onion rings! Fish Tacos! It's like they went into my mind and decided to make all of my favorite things. Hubby loves the Turkey tips. Their food is fresh and not greasy. They also have game day menus with $3 tostadas, 30 cent wings, and homemade chips and onion dip. The only thing that would make this better for me is $1 oysters :) Note to vegetarians- you can sub a veggie burger for any of their burgers! The other thing that I really like about Mystic is the atmosphere. It's clean and bright inside, so when you go in for lunch you don't feel like you've gone into a dungeon for the afternoon. They have a few outdoor tables, but we haven't eaten outside yet. Really a wonderful addition to Pleasant street!!

Hands down the best place to go in the area. I haven't been disappointed with s a single thing on the menu. Burgers are killer. Buffalo chicken dip is phenomenal. Beer list is incredible. The staff is awesome too. The owner got to know me when I was looking for a new job and remembered it each time until I landed it. The wait staff is super friendly as well. I hate Highly recommend mystic station if you have a chance.

I'm a fan! Mystic Station is located in Malden Center where District 7 used to be. This is a great neighborhood restaurant run by two of the most friendly and enjoyable people on the planet! Did you happen to catch them on The Phantom Gourmet? Very complementary! Very awesome! They have a ton of craft beers, delicious apps and outstanding entrees and desserts. We haven't had anything less than a spectacular time in all the times we've come. The kids are big fans as well. I'm a fan of the Buffalo chicken dip, the pretzel bites, and all of their vegetable dishes. The kids love the burgers and they highly recommend the skillet cookie ala mode for dessert. If you're looking for a casual and joyful dining experience, look no further than Mystic Station!

Just came back from here and I can't wait to go again. My husband and I were headed to a place nearby, but ended up parking right next to Mystic Station and decided to check it out. Since it's a Thursday there was an extensive craft beer selection which was awesome, and the 3 beer, 5 oz. taste testing glasses made my night. For food we tried a burger and the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. Both terrific! Our waitress was wonderful and had spot on recommendations for what beers to try, I love that she had tried most of them herself and really talked to us about what we ordered and how we liked it. Very glad I found this place nearby.

The atmosphere and customer service alone would make me come back.. But the food, it made me so glad to live right around the corner. I will definitely be coming very often. I got the shrimp wrap with the sweet potato fries which was amazing and my boyfriend got the turkey tips. If you do like vegetables.. You have to get the broccoli as a side. I know that sounds silly but their own homemade butter seasoning makes it a must ! Loved it all!

We stopped in for dinner and a few drinks on Thursday evening. I had the BBQ pulled pork grilled cheese, which was VERY good. My only complaint was that I requested to substitute the fries for a side salad - little did I know it would only be iceberg lettuce and a tomato, so I would recommend sticking with the fries!! My fiance got the special of the day which was shrimp tacos, the tacos themselves were delicious and he highly recommends them however the Spanish style rice that they were served with was very obviously from a box and not very tasty. The drinks were great (try the Apple Pie)!! Service was awesome, our waiter Mike was great! We will come again & try different options. Cute little place, I would suggest giving it a shot!

Love this place!! It is amazing. The owner and staff are awesome! I have never been disappointed the few times we have been here. The food is the best we have had in a very long time!!! This our new go to place. We Had their grilled cheese pulled pork sandwich and their burger. Amazing! They were on tv (news) last week as well. They have an amazing wine and beer list. They even remember my tomato allergy. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Love love love them!

Visited about a week ago & didn't know what to expect ... Great place to grab a good food & drink without feeling the "bar food" experience, and the bartender controlled the room well with good customer service. Throw in good ambiance --All you need rolled in one.

Wanted to check out this establishment last Friday afternoon, as I live fairly close in Medford and it had descent reviews. Well I was quite pleased! Loved the variations on menu, prices were reasonable, food was tasty! They were very kid friendly as I was with my active 2 year old it helps they have TVS by each booth. The ambiance very cool and sophisticated yet comfy. Bar scene was seemed fun professional and locals that were friendly having great time. We truly enjoyed our food. Loved the pulled pork sandwich and the nachos were fabulous! Will definitely come back! Our server Mark and the rest of the staff worked well together as a team! Thank you for a great time!

Easily the most uncomfortable dining experience of my life. Sat down at the bar with a friend and was greeted by a cold and unwelcoming bartender. They don't serve bottles of wine so got a couple of glasses. I decided on the hot and fiery buffalo fingers my friend got the steak salad. My first order of buffalo tenders smelled amazing however they were so hard I couldn't cut into them. I reluctantly sent them back to the bartender from hell. The new order came out with the wrong sauce on them which I explained to the manager, he in turn brought me a bowl of the correct sauce to apparently dump on the buff fingers as a favor? Bit into this chicken and almost had to spit it into my napkin. Thought to myself maybe I'm having an off night so had my friend try which she confirmed it was equally disgusting. I pushed the "wrong" tenders to the front on the bar (meaning take them away) and the bartender served beers over them, exchanged money over all the while not saying a word to me about them. FINALLY she asks if I want to wrap them, I of course say no they were really terrible, something about the consistency was off. Does she say sorry? Nope! Does she offer to get me something else? Nope! Does she take off the bill? Nope! We are getting ready to check out and I say to her: I'm not paying for these I didn't eat them and they were terrible (mind you they cost $7.50 and came out wrong twice) and she says you might want to find he manager because I mentioned to him and he didn't want to take them off the bill. So, I find him, and I'll tell you; I go out to eat a lot and have never dealt with someone so confrontational. He comes over ranting about how his wife cooked them, she hand breaded them, he even brought me over some sauce (to cover the mistake) etc etc, ok?!?! I don't care if the pope cooked them, they were terrible and I didn't eat them!!! He finally agrees to take them off the bill with no apology, no nothing. Legit worst experience ever.

Came in again this weekend. My husband says it's his favorite local spot and he would live here if he could. He always gets the steak tips. I opted for the spinach salad and the chicken soup. We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking with the friendly owner and bar tenders. The beer list is also good. I feel like after going here a bunch of times I needed to update to a five star review. For what this place is, it's a 5.

Came here last night with a friend to get a bite to eat, it was excellent! I've been on a blue cheese kick lately and I got the chicken buffalo grilled cheese with blue cheese dressing for dipping. I wasn't even that hungry but I had to finish it all it was that good. It was the perfect proportion of baffalo chx and melty cheese and also a side of fries, it was soooo good! There were a lot of other options that looked delicious.. I can't wait to go back and try new sandwiches and entrees and enjoy a local cold brew!

Another successful Yelp recommendation. Looking for something different from our 3 Melrose fine dining choices. Decided to get adventurous and head to Malden. Once we found parking ( always a challenge on Pleasant Street), we walked into a real treat. After a short wait, Brian greeted us and recommended grabbing a drink at the bar while we waited for a couple of spots at the bar. Within 10 minutes, we settled in and met our first challenge...an amazing selection of craft beers. Seriously amazing. While you can get a Bud Lite if you want to sink that low, there is a craft beer for every taste. Brian, the manager, is super passionate about his beer and doing business with small batch, small business owners. Super friendly bar staff. Lots of interaction with the guests. My wife got a free sample of a cocktail one of the bartenders was mixing up. For a small place, they have a big daring menu. Tons of appetizers, sandwich, burger and entree choices. We started off with some fried pickles. Good snack with a beer while you peruse the menu. I had to try the buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich. Decadent. Excellent bread, tasty buffalo chicken and tons of melty, tasty cheese. Side of sweet potato fries were a little on the cool side but these people are so freakkin nice I couldn't bring myself to send them back. My wife had the shrimp wrap. Nothing fancy but good and filling. This is the quintessential neighborhood bar. In addition to the great staff, we met some old friends by chance, a friendly dentist and a sweet younger couple with a taste for good beers. Just a terrific night. Just a quick note, this is a group of folks who care about customer service and their reputation. We were discussing Yelp reviews. Brian was genuinely concerned about bad reviews. Not because it was a bad review but because they care about their customers. He reads them and takes them seriously. Give Mystic Station a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Loved my first visit to Mystic Station. I just had drinks at the bar but they were yummy (and definitely on the strong side). I especially loved the Chocolate Espresso Martini... taste like Chocolate milk for grown ups. It's great to know there's a good drink place closer to home so I don't have to travel out to Somerville or Boston to meet up with friends. I highly recommend it!

Probably the best all around burger in the area.Perfect bread with quality add on's, including bacon, and onion string's so crispy and good, built around some grade A beef with just right amount of char.Other menu sellection are just different enough from your typical bar food joint's to make this a place worth returning too.The staff and service go's above and beyond to make sure your happy with your meal and are having a pleasant experience. You can't go wrong with mystic station.

Great beers, great talks. If you want to go to a trash bag bar, go down the street. If you want a classy bar with great ambiance, Hit up Mystic Station. Beers are all great and the owner is constantly looking for ways to make your experience better. The art they are working on to advertise their beer list is unreal. Come by for a great bite to eat and a beer, and I will see you here. Also thanksgiving eve here will be great.

I don't rave about many places that much, but Mystic Station has earned my rave review. Here's why: The beer selection is thoughtful yet fearless. Many bars will only stick to the safe draft list that sell to the masses. Mystic Station will have beers on draft that speak to the beer nerd population. Belgians, sours, imperials, collaborations... and on. The selection one week may be completely different another week. Some restaurant chains with the capital could have everything on the planet on tap at once all the time and this may not be a big deal, but this place is different. It's a quality vs quantity thing. The food is typical pub fare to certain extent but done right and with great app choices that you don't exactly see everywhere. The deviled eggs are a killer example. The atmosphere. It's not a big place, but just big enough and has character, not to mention very clean. This isn't a dive bar. The fellow patrons. This isn't the place for amature night yet a 20-something or a 30-something or a 50-something could hang out at this place and none of them would feel out of place. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The owner really cares and is always looking for ways to make the place even better. From the beer selection to the food to having events like a themed Halloween party or a tap take over. Very friendly. I've been to this place many times over the past few months. It has become my wife and I's "go to" place.

Best veggie burger I've ever had! Unfortunately 1 out of the 4 times I've been there my service was terrible. They put the wrong sauce on the burger, the waitress clearly gave up on me in her tone of voice and demeanor after that. When she returned with the right burger, it was missing its side, she went to get it and I listened to her chit chat with the cook about where he had been and why he hadn't been at work as she stood there with my side in her hand as I waited. Then I discovered another topping missing on my burger. I also noticed the lettuce on this burger was the white crunchy iceberg stuff nobody likes as opposed to the good leafy greens that were on my mistake burger. The cook in the kitchen stared at me, so I stared back at him. Then the waitress took away my napkin before I was finished with it. All in all, I love this place but this waitress was not good and I think maybe the cook had something to do with all of the mistakes as well. I expected better here honestly and I do not know if I will return now.

This place is great! They have so many beer selections, 26 taps alone. I had the Downeast cider and it was good. The burgers were amazing. Onion rings were crisp and crunchy. I will be back for sure.

Decided to break away from my go-to spots in the city and try something new! Saw the reviews for this restaurant and figured, why not? So glad I went! Entered a very clean, and open space. Was greeted by a friendly man behind the bar, who we later found out was owner, so we took our place at the bar. Were asked if we were doing food and drinks and were instantly given menus to peruse. I ordered the paper planes which was very citrusy and light. For food I got the bacon cheeseburger. You can tell the meat was very fresh and hand packed. Juicy, flavorful, delicious! Dessert was heavenly!! Candied bacon, beer, bourbon, ice cream. Can't go wrong with that! We stuck around for a few more drinks and felt very at home. Very friendly and easy staff to talk to! We will be back again! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for either drinks or food and some friendly chatter.

This is my favorite watering hole/restaurant in Malden. The beer list is phenomenal (lots of local brews), and the food is really well crafted with great ingredients. The owner Bryan is extremely friendly and pleasant, and is always willing to go above and beyond for his customers. Everything is always good in here from the music, to the atmosphere etc. They do a lot of event nights with a local focus, which is awesome. They're gaining in attention and popularity, and with good reason. Keep it up!

I saw the restaurant featured on Phantom Gourmet and they featured the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. I knew I wanted to give it a try. On Saturday I took the trek out too Malden from Worcester. it wasn't to busy when i came in around 1. They had an excellent beer selection. I ordered the sandwich. It took a lot longer for out too come out than I expected with how few people were I'm there. It was totally worth the wait. It was very good. The fries were amazing as well.

It's nice to finally have a place with a A level draft list in Malden. This place is legit; the food is good, the owner's super friendly and the environment is very well done. I've been there a couple times now and each time it's been fun. Ps. I've never done it but this place would be good to catch a game since there's plenty of TVs and each of the booths in the back has its own personal TV. I usually drink beer here but I did have the buffalo chicken dip last time here and it was pretty good. I just hate it when the dip gets oily or not enough chicken. No such problems here. My only gripe with this place is the draft list is too hard to read. It's hand written on chalk boards across from the bar. The problem is that they've got so many good beers on, the writing is small and hard to read. I love they have so many draft lines, and local offerings too, just make it so I know my options.

We used to go to District 7 for their apps, burgers and beers. The new paint and decor is much better, making it not so dark. We were short on time but have wanted to try the new place. The buffalo chicken dip, chicken fingers and fries were great. Staff were polite and there when we needed something. Will definitely be back.

Had gone to District 7 frequently when it was open, so was happy to go try Mystic Station when I heard it had opened. Always liked D7, and Mystic Station didn't disappoint either. The food is still very good and the prices are incredibly reasonable. My wife and I split nachos, I had steak tips (ordered medium rare and cooked perfectly) and she had haddock, which she devoured. They each came with sides that were equally delicious (tried the onion rings, sweet potato fries and rice, which were all nice and significant portions). The prices on beers are very reasonable as well. If I had one complaint, I'd seen the place billed as having "craft beer," and outside of a selection from Jack's Abby and one from Pretty Things, it's your basic beer that's available at most bars. While the wait staff was attentive and great to customers, they didn't seem knowledgeable about the beers nor did the menu describe the beers adequately. I was told on multiple occasions that I couldn't get a 22 oz. pour because of the alcohol content, though the ABV on the two beers I ordered was 5.5 and 6.4 respectively -- nothing substantial. Additionally, the beer list simply listed "Abby Ale" with no explanation. No idea what it was, and it's probably spelled wrong. Ommegang Abbey Ale? Abita? Blue Moon? Also, most people may not know Hopstitution is from Jack's Abby or Jack D'or is from Pretty Things unless it's listed, and the company wasn't anywhere on the menu. All in all, I'd certainly go back for the reasonably priced food, and I appreciate them making an effort with the Jack's Abby and Pretty Things, which is more craft beer than some places have. For our nachos, steak tips, haddock, three beers and a 20 percent tip, we paid $65. We were very pleased with the value at Mystic Station, and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

This place is so delicious for the price. The egg over burger is by far my favorite thing on their menu and I've had most of it. The staff there is great, too. Very personable, prompt, and helpful. I'd highly recommend it.

My favorite place for dinner in Malden. The food is really delicious (highlights: buffalo chicken grilled cheese, fish tacos, burgers of course) and obviously beer selection is great. The staff and owners are really personable and make you feel welcome. Great destination for a casual weeknight dinner.

This restaurant is a welcome addition to a part of Malden that has huge potential and is in need of some updating. Mystic Station presents a gastropub type feel with classic 'merican cuisine done well. The beer list is also above average and has plenty of local stuff on tap. I was impressed to see Mystic Saison and some harder to find Jack's Abby brews. When we were here I had the steak sandwich and was impressed with the quality of the food and the portions. This is definitely not one of those trendy small plate type restaurants where you'll blow a ton of cash for very little food and go home hungry. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the bartender and told to sit wherever we want. Very welcoming. We chose a spot out on the patio. A guy came out to smoke and within seconds the bartender came out and told him to go elsewhere so we didn't have to smell the smoke. Totally appreciate that and shows that this place really cares about customers and is looking to bring people back. I would recommend Mystic Station to anyone north of Boston who's looking for a nice, modern dining atmosphere and doesn't want to fight the crowds in the city.

Highly recommend Mystic Station! Found this on Yelp and the restaurant did not disappoint. After reading so many good things, we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dip, which could be two meals in itself. I then ordered the turkey club and my boyfriend got the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. Came in midweek and there was no wait. Waitress was kind, let us stay for a while as we ate and drank, and gave some good recommendations. I will be back!

VERY IMPRESSED! We wanted to try this place after seeing it on Phantom Gourmet. We decided to go when we were heading to a Red Sox game. The decor is great. Clean and modern , pretty and comfortable ( including the bathroom , very clean). Staff was very pleasant and all friendly. One of the owners greeted us at the door ,she was super nice. And as soon as we sat the other owner greeted us and made us feel as if we were regulars. These two are just as friendly as they appear on TV. Definitely not just for the camera. So while that's all very nice, the food has to be decent to want to go again. Well, it's delicious. There's a great selection of beer- I tried a raspberry ale that I've never heard of that was really tasty. We split a burger which was juicy and cooked perfectly, with fresh( not wilted) lettuce and other toppings and great fries. We also split the buffalo chicken grilled cheese which was equally tasty. Really good experience. Oh, and the price is very reasonable ! We really were unable to find anything negative to say. Well, maybe one thing. We live too far away (an hour at least)! If it weren't for that we'd be regulars. We'll definitely go back.

Meh, it's OK. Maybe better for a beer drinker, 28 beers on tap. I'm not a beer drinker, but the staff were all very nice! The food? Well, like I said, maybe better for a beer drinker?

  • Sarah B.

What a perfect description by yelp - total Meh! Perhaps it was that we happened to go on the night of the Bruin's championship game (which I didn't realize), but everything about the food was Meh. I got the fish taco appetizer, which bordered on bland. My husband's burger was ordered medium and came out charred/overly well done. My mojito was meh. Especially after my recent great experience at Ferry St. Food and Drink I'd have to put this place barely above Pearl st. station for bar food in Malden.

This place is great. My boyfriend and I went for dinner with some friends and everyone loved the experience. The owners are super friendly and really give the restaurant the family-owned feeling.. i.e. handmade tasting paddles for beer - they really care about the details.. I love the laid back atmosphere - being able to hang out at the bar, playing keno for a low key night. The menu is awesome. A couple of us tried the steak tips (as a meal or over a salad) and were pleasantly surprised with the delicious marinade. The caramel bacon sundae is a MUST. Any place that serves Angry Orchard is two thumbs up in my book so this one's a winner.

This place is fantastic. Your typical pub food, but done really, really well. The steak and cheese is just ridiculous, easily my fav. The burgers are all great as well. The beer selection is really good, they always have a large variety of styles and breweries, and it changes regularly. And the service has always been stellar... very attentive, helpful, and friendly. What more could you ask? Go check them out!

Great beer selections with rotating taps on a daily/weekly basis. They also have unbelievably good food that is very affordable (1/2 pound burger and fries for $11). The owner, Brian, is a great guy who is very personable guy and definitely puts in the hours; I see him almost every time I am here. I come here at least once a week, love this place!

Cannot say enough good things about this bar/restaurant. The food is upscale bar style and the burgers are to die for. Brian, the owner, is very friendly and makes everyone feel like just walked into their local. Absolutely recommend for lunch/dinner and drink any night of the week.

As Matt P. mentioned, thank god this place opened. Malden has some great restaurants (All Seasons, Exchange St) but was really lacking a casual eatery where you can watch a game that has good food. Mystic Station is where the late District 7 was and the décor has greatly improved. There's a cozy fireplace, granite counters and better lighting. I arrived this past Saturday just before the 3pm Bruins start and the bar was crowded with fellow black and yellow shirt wearers. We were instantly greeted by the owners and they made us feel welcome immediately. Robust drink menu with a lot of options for beer, wine or cocktail lovers. They also have a "bar bites" menu and the chips/salsa was amazing. We stayed at the bar until the end of the game which was a great chance to try a lot of the food options. I had the spinach salad which was fresh and the homemade balsamic was delicious. For dinner, I had the veggie caprese which was also delicious and a great option for a vegetarian like myself. I'd love to see a veggie burger option as well as brunch in the near future. I think Mystic has a lot to offer the community and I look forward to heading back soon.

A++, me and my husband come here all the time. The owner is super nice, made us feel like regulars after our third time in. Staff is great, food is awesome. Beer list is well-considered, lots of good stuff on tap. They do a trivia night if you're into that. I only have good things to say, this place is great.

No where in Malden can beat the beer selection. Lucky for us the new owner is into amazing beers. Stone, Ommegang, Idle Hands, Lagunitas, and Mystic just to name a few of the taps. Just starring at the booze shelves makes me happy. A great selection of high quality liquors. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is pretty damn friendly. Now the food... omfg. Today I only had the pico and sundae. I say only because I plan on coming back tomorrow for more. The Ommegang beer & BACON sundae fills my heart with joy! The owner, who claims he isn't a chef, came up with it. Try it! You won't be disappointed! I swear. I'm about to get down on some apple donuts too. They are having a food and beer pairing night. I can't stay but the owners wife said she's make some anyway. A true saint. Needless to say this will be a new regular spot for me and my friends.

We've been here twice for lunch. Both times have been excellent experiences. It was slow and we just sat at the bar. They have great beer choices. We were psyched to see Pretty Things and Ommegang in their lineup. For our meals, we started with the fried pickles. They were excellent, especially with the sauce they give you. I had the blue cheese burger the first time and my girlfriend had the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. The burger was very flavorful and I was jealous enough of the one bite I had of my girlfriend's grilled cheese to order that the next time we were in there. The owner was there both times and you can tell he's excited about opening this place up. We'll definitely be back again to brush up on our trivia skills.

I came here with my fiancee on Friday night. We walked in at about 7 and after standing by the end of the bar awkwardly, one of the bartenders finally noticed us and waved us over--there weren't any signs that said seat yourself so we weren't sure what to do. But there were a couple of tables open and so we seated ourselves at one at his offering. A friendly waitress promptly came over and gave us menus, and a couple minutes later we ordered drinks. I think almost 15 minutes went by before we finally got them, but they were pretty good. The waitress was apologetic, but it was apparent that the bartenders were pretty busy. We put in a food order and that also took a while, but I have to say it was really good. I love a good cheeseburger, and Mystic delivered. The fries were great too. My fiancee had a fish dish and loved it. We didn't have any time constraints, so the slow service wasn't a big deal, but again after she dropped off the check we must have waited 15 minutes for her to come by to get it (and apologize again). We were seated right near the waitress' station but she never looked up as she went by. I'm not sure what prompted the change from District 7 to Mystic Station but to summarize, I'd say that the food improved a little, the variety of offerings expanded, and the decor got a nice update... minus the slow service, it was a good experience.

Normally I use the phrase "pub food" as an indicator that the food at a restaurant is in a tier below other restaurants that prioritize food above beverage. However, Mystic Station is one of the few restaurants out there that get pub food right. Everything that I've ordered indicates there's someone in the kitchen that really cares about the quality (as opposed to a high schooler with a frialator and a freezer full of Stop and Shop brand frozen food). The specials are really special-- take a risk! Both times we've been, the fish and chips put me into eye-rolling food heaven. We've also tried the buffalo chicken dip (yum!), the jalepeno burger (made Mr. "if I'm not crying it isn't hot" cry a little), the arancini (also very good, varies by day so ask what the special is), and the club sandwich (also way better than a club sandwich has any right to be). The drinks are also great-- trust your server on their recommendations here. They know what they're talking about. Mary steered us the right way multiple times (and recognized us after only the second visit a month later... do you have a photographic memory???). Definitely making this a regular date night spot.

I recently went to Mystic Station with my boyfriend. I was kind of worried because I am a vegetarian and sports bars usually don't have many choices for me. Best veggie burger ever! And the sweet potato fries were just as good. My boyfriend got wings and he said they were amazing ! We will definitely be back here. Service is awesome too!

Another nice addition to the growing Malden restaurant scene. As a resident for almost 10 years, I have been waiting patiently (not so patiently, actually) for quality dining options. Malden Station, which occupies the former District 7 location, has almost everything you could want in your neighborhood pub. The easiest way will be to break this into pros and cons, there are a few of each: Pros: - The incandescent lights, new fire place, and beautifully re-done bar make for a warm atmosphere. The one thing that my wife and I noticed were some of the ceiling lights were a little bright which was a contrast to the intended ambiance. To their credit, the lights were dimmed shortly after we got there and made all the difference. - The stuffed meatball appetizer is excellent; great portion size for two, awesome marinara sauce. - The bar mix is another highlight. A spicy nut/pretzel mix with the brilliant addition of Cap'n Crunch. There is a $2 price tag, but it's refillable, so worth it. - The hamburgers are awesome. Huge, seasoned well, and served on a brioche bun. Ask for and extra side of the house wicked sauce, it's really good. - The service was excellent, our waiter was enthusiastic and very helpful. Cons: - The beer selection, although better than your typical Malden selection, still lacks what we Beer Lovers need. I would love to see them expand their list. If they expand their list to include some better options (see Founder's Breakfast Stout), I will change my rating to 5 stars. - I had the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. It was good, not great. There was a lot of filling in there and the sandwich was really big. By the time I finished the first half, the cheese was already starting to get cold. I will probably get a burger or something else next time. Overall, Mystic Station impressed. This will definitely be one of my regular spots.

Excellent spot in the otherwise sparse Malden bar scene. And by that there is no other in Malden ( hugh oneills second best) that offers a great craft beer list that changes often. And they offer beer flights of 3 4oz beers at a time. The owners are super nice and engaging. My friend and I also got martinis ( snickers bar and espresso martini) which were really yummy. As for food , the spinach salad with grilled chicken was very good. And the Asian wings were a good size. I highly recommend checking this out

Great food! I got the turkey club, the turkey was fresh turkey breast, and not coldcut! The chipotle mayo was a great touch. All the food that was coming out of the kitchen looked great too. The atmosphere is a comfy, homey feel. They have great local beer selections, for cheap too!

Do you want a great place with 26 craft brews on tap and amazing food? Go to Mystic Station. Pleasant Street Malden in general is a hidden gem for restaurants north of Boston. Mystic Station is the best of them in my opinion. It has great homemade food, micro brews on tap, and friendly service. What else do you need? I was only here for lunch but the chalkboard sign inside said trivia on Wednesday nights, craft beer night on Thursdays, and live music on Saturdays!

Great draft beet selection, delish apps and great dinner entees! Nice clean space with a good atmosphere. The service was a little mehhh as there was only one on and they seemed to be a little overwhelmed and couldn't quite keep up with the flow of it all. Didn't leave wanting to rave about the place but wouldn't mind going back once in a while.

I had previously visited this location when it was District 7 and had just opened. We were craving a burger and decided to stop in and noticed it was now Mystic Station. Basically, they're under new management but that's not a negative. The menu is similar to before with some additional options. I had a burger that unfortunately wasn't as tasty as the last time, but it wasn't bad. We tried the buffalo chicken tenders as an app and OMG were they spicy but delicious. Like, fire in your mouth someone get a hose spicy. They came with bleu cheese, and carrot and celery sticks. I can't remember what my husband or son got, but they were pretty decent. One cool thing is they kept the tv/remotes at the booths, so if you want to watch a game (or in our case, convince our toddler to sit still for 2 seconds by putting on Spongebob) then you have control of what's on. I'd go back. Not my favorite place in the area (because DUH... Oya) but not a bad place to stop in for a quick bite. Dinner (2 adult meals, 1 kids meal, a soda and an app) came to $40 before tip.

Nice location downtown. Was easy to park. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Great beer selection. Waitress gave us a sample of a new special beer. I got a grilled veggie and mozzarella insalata that was good. I was surprised that the cheese was also grilled but it was tasty. My husband got the blue cheese burger which was big and tasty. We were too stuffed for dessert.

I had been working @ District 7 for some time and now have the opportunity to work at MYSTIC STATION at the same location. It is in a great location down by the center of town and gives a new, edgy, and unique atmosphere that Malden has needed. The new owners are surely dedicated, hard working, and I am excited to be a part of one of the restaurants during Malden's Re-development period.

This is a tough one and I honestly am not happy that I have to give this establishment one star. Prior to my experience last night, I would probably have given it 4 stars on my previous two visits. Saturday night, I had made reservations for OYA (very good Cuban restaurant around the corner) for dinner for 3 couples. Had a very nice dinner, dessert, and 2 glasses of wine with our meal over the course of 2 and a half hours. We finished up around 10:45 and decided we would go back to Mystic Station for a drink before everyone called it a night. As the 6 of us walked in we discussed if we were going to sit at the bar or a table, so decided it would be easier to converse if we are at a booth together. The waitress came over asked if we would like to see the Ipad with the beer selections and I jokingly asked if we are able to go on the internet. So as she came back and everyone was ready to order their drinks, I had ordered a spicy dirty Martini on the rocks and she advised she would check and see if they would be able to make that. About a minute later one of the other waiters came to the table and addressed us by saying in a very non confrontational manner " you know what guys, tonight has been one of those crazy nights and its been busy all day" which we were all thinking he was going to say they are out of a lot of ingredients or something along those lines. In actuality that was his precursor to letting us know that they were not going to be serving us. So after he left the table, we all just looked at each other in disbelief and were expecting Ashton Kutcher to come out of the kitchen with the camera crew. Of the group of 6, the average age is around 30 and one of the girls is pregnant and was obviously not drinking and the remaining 5 of us had 2 glasses of wine each with our meals. As a group, we do go out to eat often so are aware of proper etiquette and limitations, and this was definitely a first for all of us. Still in disbelief, we all just stood up and made our way to the exit. I had gotten the attention of the owner and politely asked what just happened there. He went on to say that the waitress did not feel comfortable serving us and he left it up to her discretion. I asked if there was a particular person in our party or if something in particular happened that made her feel this way and he said that it was a judgment call and that he did not know exactly. He said that he hopes we come back and apologized and said that its tough when people come in at the end of the night after drinking at the bars nearby. I advised him that this whole incident was unfortunate because we did enjoy ourselves the previous two times we were there and after this insulting incident we would not be returning and will not be recommending anyone else to go here. There are a few things that I think could have been done differently. First and foremost, it is apparent that the owner takes pride in his business and is very hands on so I would have expected him to come to the table to evaluate the situation and let us know the reason or what led them to think that any of us would be a liability. At the very least, you would have expected the waitress who spent 20 seconds at our table to come over rather than having one of her co workers that had nothing to do with us come over and tell us it has been a crazy night. For such a small restaurant I would think that every customer would be crucial to keeping and having return and recommend it to friends/co workers but I do not think that is going to happen if situations like this occur regularly at this restaurant. We ended up walking down to Exchange St Bistro for a delicious drink and a great way to end the night.

My boyfriend and I are so excited about Mystic! It's embarrassing how often we are in there, it's at least once a week if not more. But when you find a place like this it's hard not to go back whenever you want a bite to eat and some great drinks. We have tried something new every time we go and there hasn't been one thing that is average. Every item has been delicious and we've had more than half the menu I would say. Beer selection is pretty fantastic. The owner was telling us he is going to continue to add more micro brews. I've also had their sangria and tequila specialty drink they were very good and very strong... Bonus for us :) I highly recommend trying!

Highly recommend this restaurant/bar. Everything about it was amazing. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Our server was 100% on top of things and the owner went out of his way to make our meal perfect. He made us a delicious spinach salad even though the kitchen had technically just closed. So grateful that he went the extra mile for us!!! Could not have asked for a friendlier staff. The beer selection is great (and the beer cocktail options are surprisingly delicious), with plenty of local options. All of the food was perfectly cooked down to the toasted nachos we enjoyed. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual gastropub - we were there on a Saturday so there was live music. The perfect compliment to the experience without being overwhelming.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. The craft beer list is killer as well as the food. The owners and staff are top notch and always incredibly accommodating to any allergies, dietary restrictions or general food preferences. Their portions are huge and there is even vegetarian options. Warm, homey, and cozy, it's a great place for a quick bite or a group sit down.

Mystic station has by far the best craft beer options in Malden! The atmosphere is great and a huge step up from District 9 (the bar in that space before). I've been twice in the last month and both times the food was phenomenal. The first time I created my own burger and was blown away. As Guy Fieri would say, it was a trip to "Flavortown USA". I also strongly recommend the fried pickles and the onion rings if getting apps. Thanks Mystic Station for spicing up the area. Looking forward to more good things to come.

The food is awesome! Great bar fare, simple menu and ample beer to choose from. My only gripe was the bar area. The people working there are friendly, but the way they act is not. I know it's a bar, but cussing and screaming at your friends as a bartender...idk, just put me off a bit. Maybe next time I'll choose a seat towards the back of the restaurant.

My husband and I have been here a few times for dinner. Both times we have had excellent, attentive service. The staff is Very knowledge about their menu and since the restaurant is under new owner ship we were able to speak with the owners as well. Both Bryan and Nicole were exceptionally friendly and very welcoming. We loved their beer selection and their gourmet pub food was beyond delicious! I wanted to take the fried pickles home with me! The whole menu looked delicious and will continue going back until I get to try everything! The menu was all reasonably priced. The atmosphere is lovely! It's family friendly with tv's in the booths for our daughter! She loves it there and always wants to go back! There is also a great bar scene at night! A local hot spot for sure! The decor makes it warm and inviting and not so dark as it use to be when it was district 7. Over all this is my new favorite restaurant!

My husband and I had a great night here last weekend and then he brought our 3 sons for an early dinner and they loved the kids meals, steak tips and sliders. Great tasting food and good prices. Amazing micro-brew list and the martinis are even good. We have made it a local go-to. So glad this restaurant landed here.

went for lunch on monday afternoon, after reading several positive reviews on yelp. well there was nothing positive at all, not greeted upon entering, waitress was void of any personality almost seemed a bit annoyed that she had customers, as for the food well at best it was just okay, will not go back, there is no reason to return

Thank God this place opened in Malden. I've been looking and waiting for a great place to have a drink and great food in Malden. The Buffalo Chicken Dip was amazing and the Shrimp Skewer was equally good. Thank you again Mystic Station. Welcome and too many years of success.

Love this place. The food is really fresh and tasty and the beer selection is the best in the area. The owner is always behind the bar welcoming guests and making everyone feel at home. Plus, the bar itself is granite and beautiful. Love love Mystic Station. Nachos are ridiculously good (and they're my favorite "food group").

I went to Mystic station last week for lunch with my wife. This place was great, I heard about it on the phantom gourmet. I wish I had known about it sooner, I guess they have been there a few months. I had the buffalo grilled cheese, it was great. They also have a great craft beer selection. The owner was working the bar, very friendly guy. I would definitely recommend for food or drinks, or both. We will definitely be going back.

Great place! Best place in the area for a burger, hands down. I've explored the menu and have enjoyed everything I've tried. Awesome variety of craft beers on tap and a super friendly wait staff. The owner is a really friendly guy and is usually behind the bar and eager to please. Plus they do a great trivia on Wednesday nights!

My boyfriend and I go here quite frequently now. The owners are so nice and always visible, we've had the same server every time (Steven) who is a super friendly and always willing to give suggestions. We've tried the buffalo chicken grilled cheese (to die for, but the buffalo chicken dip is just as good if you're looking for a snack and not a meal), burgers (huge, delicious roll and great fries), steak tips (great marinade), fish tacos (great flavor, it's two tacos so definitely an appetizer), and the special last weekend was a pulled chicken sandwich (great BBQ sauce)! We also have tried many of the cocktails, some made with beer and a liquor (pretty unique) and beer flights with local and domestic beers (they vary the price of the flight based on the beer you get), which was a great way to try some new stuff! We will definitely keep coming back! It's adds a nice touch to Malden Square and makes you feel like you're still in Boston!

I just went there for the first time today and was not that impressed. I paid almost $11 for a small steak and cheese that had way too much bread and the middle of the sandwich was pretty skimppy. You also get a choice of fries or cole slaw. My friend got the fries, which there was a generous portion, but the cole slaw was in a tiny cup -- about three bites. I feel like I paid $11 for a small steak and cheese. I could have gone to Bravo or Cornacopia and got a small steak and cheese for half the price. With the economy the way it is, this place is going to have difficulty since the prices are too high and the portions are too small.
