Never had a bad meal here. The grilled chicken ceasar salads ($10.00) are my favorites and I have them about once a week. Comes with about a pound of grilled chicken, and a homemade pita on the side. You can make a wrap out of this and still have 2 small salads left over. Also, the only place I've ever seen with chicken parm and ravioli combination which is also fantastic. 5 Stars, food wise it couldn't get any better.

Stopped by here again after about a year later. The $2 cheese and pepperoni slices tasted like cardboard and they forgot my spinach rice ball order to go.

I order lunch from here once every 2 weeks or so because it is close to my work. Some of the food makes my stomach hurt after. The service is not good. They always sound like it is a bother to take my order.

Ive been going to this place for over 5yrs...this place use to be awesome...but the quality has gone downhill! They are cheap with the sauce on their wings and but the price keeps rising...go figure?!

Best pizza in Malden hands down. 2 dollar slices and rice balls are always great for an inexpensive lunch. My favorites are the wraps and salads. Grilled chicken Caesar on sun dried tomato wrap is outstanding & teriyaki chicken salad is always prepared w/ fresh produce. All salads come w/ home made pita and the dressings are really good. Brian & Tom always give solid service w/ a friendly attitude and smile. Their restaurant is clean and plenty of parking is available. Give this place a try, explore the menu and I'm sure you'll agree!

I have been ordering from them for years and years as well as working with a staff of over 35 who order from them multiple times a day..... I Ordered a Greek salad with steak tips on it today for lunch and being a hairdresser was not able to run to it and eat so our front desk signed for it. When I just looked at my receipt I was charge $18.05 for literally a Greek salad with steak tips from a sub shop! And that's without a tip..... I called back and was told that steak has gone up and it's posted in their store, clearly I called for take out and was not told. I asked for them to pick up the salad that was completely untouched and refund me for my $18.00 salad and was told that I could keep my salad and not get refunded! This is the worst experience of customer service that I have ever received and I will never be ordering again nor will the 35 fellow employees that were witness to this! Save yourself some money and order elsewhere because on top of being ridiculously priced they are beyond rude!

This is our spot. Arguably the tastiest, most reliable delivery place I've ordered from (and trust me, I've lived in a bunch of areas and am no stranger to delivery). I have not been let down in the dozen+ times we have ordered DiPietros since we moved here in 2012. The pizza is so solid, with fresh toppings, great sauce and warm crust. The subs are also great. However, my weakness is the salads. My personal favorite is the Greek salad with chicken---ridiculously good. It is a Feta-lover's dream. The antipasto is great, too. 9 times out of 10 the service is incredibly friendly. Every once in a while there is a grumpy guy who takes your order and tries to rush you off the phone, but it's worth it for the food. They deliver quickly and the delivery people are ALWAYS very nice. I'm telling you, this place is well above average.

Dipietro's is a standard sub and pizza place. If you are willing to go out of your way, I think there are better places in Boston.

Can we just say thank you for specifying there is pepperoni on your steak-bombs! A lot of places don't seem to find that important. Out of the three subs we got, (Big Tom, Buffalo Chicken Sub, Chicken Kabomb) all three were absolutely delicious! Check out our full video review along with all of the green granite you can handle here! - bit.ly/DiPietros

Ordered Nonna's Italian Pizza for delivery - They definitely didn't skim on the toppings, and the ample cheese and mushrooms ended the pizza a great taste and texture. Blew me away. Definitely going to try their other pizzas.

Frequent customer at this restaurant and have never had a problem over 10 years up until now. Last week ordered delivery (Family special) which is 2 subs, fries, pizza and soda for $22.95. Both pizza and fries were undercooked and borderline inedible bad enough but worse when I had specifically ordered them both well done. Also they do not like to give you a receipt for your purchase (only a credit card tear sheet with a total) so you don't know what they are charging you for somehow the above charge is $27.30 when you actually pay for it. I will not be coming back.

Dipietros has the best salads around! They are huge portions and the pita bread is delicious. I highly recommend the lite vinaigrette. I have ordered the pizza party catering package a couple times for work meetings and it has been a big success. Pizza is great and comes their delicious salad and pita bread. Wings and ranch wedges are good too!

Love DiPietro's! The staff there is always friendly and provides great customer service. Every time I have DiPietro's.. I have to get a rice ball. I used to always get the meat one but most recently had the spinach and cheese instead. Sooooo good! Wings are awesome. They have so many different flavors. Gigantic portions! On the menu it tells you how many it comes with and we ordered too much by accident. I guess when they count the wings, they mean a full one instead of one wing, one drumstick.. ya know? And of course the bread with the salad is always a bonus.

The woman at the front counter was very not friendly at all. She had an attitude in her voice and kept rolling her eyes. Then she asked me a question, and as I was answering, she picked up the phone and started talking!! If it weren't for my boyfriend being so hungry I would have just left at that point, but we got a small pizza and it was just okay. Nothing special to race about. I have had better and there are better options.

Pretty amazing sub, pizza and pasta joint. Have had the crispy pizza, enormous subs qnd quick delivery. Subs are made on locally procured rolls and the delivery is fast. I've ordered the chicken salad sub with pickles and tomatoes, a monstrosity, to be sure. The tuna sub is similarly large. The veal parm include tender poundedw cutlets, sweet marinara sauce and the bread to hold it all together. Worth a stop.

DiPietro's knows how to make a good pie! The pizza is awesome and the wings are amazing. The pizza dough is to die for! I always get the pizza delivered and the drivers are always fast and friendly. I love the variety in flavors of chicken wings too, namely honey mustard and roasted garlic. I just recently tried the penne pasta with chicken parmigiana and that was pretty good too (and I loved the little salad it came with) but the garlic bread was not really edible. =( There's a lot of pizza places around Malden, but not many make pizza as good as this!

I blame DiPietro's and The BIg A for a portion of my fat ass-ness. DiPietro's pizza is damn tastey. Their chicken fingers leave a little bit to be desired, but their pizza..can't go wrong! It used to have an awesome bakery attached..now it's a laundromat. Boooo..bring back the cake!!!

I have been ordering from this place for 6 years now. The experience I just had is the worst. I ordered their family special as it states on their website that they still offer that deal. Here is what I ordered within the deal: Large cheese pizza Large fries Chicken breast sub Steak bomb sub 2ltr coke Throughout the order, the guy kept interrupting me and was rushing me off the phone and stated that the specialty sub I m ordering is $1 more. It was fine by me. Anyhow, when I got my steak tip sub, there was pepperoni in it. I don't eat pepperoni for religious reasons. I was disappointed that maybe it's supposed to have this and I didn't pay attention to the ingredients before ordering. I went on the website and read it again, no where did it say that it has pepperoni. I called the store to see if there is anything they can do. The owner came on the phone and started arguing that I ordered steak bomb sub and he took the order and he is right. Mind you, didn't even let me get a word in. I tried explaining to him that I wanted steak tip but he completely ignored anything I was saying and said there is nothing he can do. I explained that I have been a loyal customer for 6 plus years, there is got to be something he can do. The owner was a complete ass and extremely rude. He went on saying how they don't even have family special anymore, I told him that it states on his website. Like really? He said that it's $40 worth of food. I said based in your prices, it's $30 worth of food and I paid $27. He was so condescending and never again am I ordering from them again. He hung up on me at the end. It was the whole experience, of getting wrong order, the owner bring unapologetic, being rude and not doing anything to fix the problem. If there was 0 stars in here, I would give this place. Never again!!! Stay away from this obnoxious place!!!! Unless you want to be ripped off.

I absolutely love this place. It is well managed, well organized, super clean. Before I try a new place and order delivery, I obviously check out yelp, but I always go in for a pick up just to check out the place visually. Cleanliness is an important aspect, because it reveals a lot about the freshness of the food. Weird parallel, but that's how I feel. To the food: love the steak and cheese, they actually season the steak. Buffalo wings are good too, they have the best blue cheese by far. The pizza is so, so, but that might be a reflection on me being a huge pizza snob. Delivery is quick, the orders are always right, and the drivers are very friendly.

If you are looking to feed a small army, or ravenous kids and adults, try ordering their sheet calzones! Our faves include the chicken and broccoli and Italian cold cut. You definitely get your money's worth. Their salads are huge and so fresh! My favorite part... the leftovers are as amazing the next day...and there are always leftovers since try as they might, there are always delicious leftovers. The zones are filled to capacity with fresh ingredients that go a long way! Not a huge fan of their pizza, but their sheet calzones are definitely a must try! They won't disappoint!

While the food is good, the customer service is below sub par. Calling in for a pick up I was greeted by a less than friendly cashier who actually sighed over the phone when my order got too long. I was on my third item when she started getting snappy with her "Is that it?" like she was exasperated by my long order. Isn't it better that my money is in her pocket and not the guy across the street? And the delivery takes forever because they do all the deliveries to one town in one long delivery. By the time your food gets to you it's guaranteed to be freezing cold. I just can't get over the lack of customer service; I get that it's busy but at the end of the day that is your job. If you're looking for good food then I recommend however if you want great customer service I suggest you look elsewhere.

I usually can't stop myself from grabbing at least a slice every time I'm in the area on a work day. Excellent thin crust pizza with a very nice sauce. They usually toss it back in the oven to crisp up the crust just before serving, and it comes out just right. The giant risotto balls served individually, Parmesan style, are damn good as well. I've always had excellent service at lunchtime during the week.

If you like cold food delivered straight to your door step, this is the place to choose. I live right down the road and the food was not only delivered cold but 55 minutes AFTER I ordered it. Last time I order from this place.

Oh DiPietro's, now that this place in within walking distance I'm going to have to force myself not to get takeout everynight. Their chicken ceasar salads are insanely good. They come with homemade pita bread thats sooooooooo yummy! And they give you a 12oz serving of grilled chicken! Shut the front door, right!?! The staff are always friendly and the place is clean and inviting. Go here, buy food, be happy.

I recently inquired about bringing a group of 60 to the restaurant. The staff was very welcoming even though that size group would take up most of their seats at a busy lunch hour time. We eventually decided to have the order delivered to a different location. The large order filled with everything from pizzas to dinner items to salads and sandwiches arrived individually labeled exactly at the requested delivery time with no errors. All hot items were still hot and all of the food was delicious! Our order was treated with great care. I was thoroughly impressed with this experience. I will definitely be using this establishment for my future needs, large group or small!

Where to begin. Maybe in todays economy I am being overly presumptive, but customer service is dead. For a local pizza joint, their prices were high. I can get a better pizza from Pizza Hut for little more than half the price for a pepperoni pizza. Their pizza is not that remarkable considering the plethora of specialty pizza shops in the metro areas from Upper Crust and Sweet Tomatoes that charge about the same price as this joint. When the manager talked with me, I was rudely told that I don't have to buy my pizza there and can take my business elsewhere, and that his pizza is better than the other places. Trust me, the pizza is marginal in taste and quality, and yes maybe the rude owner or manager influenced my perception of the pizza, but even my hungry kids thought the pizza was just so-so, and they were not present further rude confrontation by the manager. I have better choices to take my business, and between Pods Pizza around the corner and Groupon and Buy-with-me and other promotional sites I can get much better pizza at much better prices from establishments that want my business and value my loyalty. BTW, Pisa Pizza is much better and I will be writing my review shortly. I will not be back here again.

This place has really great food but terrible customer service. We ordered delivery and when we got it there was a hair in the container. We called so that they were aware of that this had occurred and the woman on the other line tried to argue that it didn't come from there. She asked what color it was (blonde) and how long it was and then said "nobody has hair like that here." I am Asian and I def don't have long blonde hair and my husbands hair is short...thanks for playing. Because of this incident, we have not ordered food from there since.

Five stars because it's better than all the other pizza joints in the area. Tasty thin crust, good sauce, cooked properly, and solid customer service. I lived in Medford for three years before my neighbor told me about DiPietro's. What a relief. There are a couple dozen decent to mediocre pizza places in Medford. Why? I don't know. The only theory I have is that the same pizza dough, sauce, and cheese foodservice supplier sells to all the places within a couple miles of where I live. I've seen the same truck on rte 60 several times and it does stop at multiple restaurants. Too bad the Galaga coin-op machine mentioned in other reviews is no longer there.

I don't know what was going on here the night we decided to order delivery from this place, but despite the pizza's being good, I will have to be very desperate to order from here again. We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 root beers for delivery on a Saturday night around 7 PM. My apartment is about 1 mile away from the restaurant, and after over 30 minutes passed with no pizza, we decided to call. When we got through to someone, they said that the delivery guy was on his way. Another 30 minutes passed, and, finally, the pizza arrived. My boyfriend got the pizza with spicy chicken and peppers on it, and he found two huge pepper caps (with the stem, you know, the part you DON'T EAT) on the pizza. They also forgot our 2 root beers, so we paid an extra $4 for the pizza, since the sodas that never came were $2 each! Nutshell: Pizza was good, but not worth the hour wait and sloppy pepper work and the forgotten drinks. We seriously think it had to do with the fact we added on a tip for the delivery guy when we ordered online, rather than paying in cash, so he decided to take his time. I am not sure, seeing as we were charged $1.50 for delivery anyways. I will be getting my pizza elsewhere, especially if I would like it delivered.

This pathetic lonely star is merely to represent the experience I had tonight. I have always loved this place, I just hope to god that tonight was just a bad night for them... well and me. Having a cold the passed couple days has sucked. After coughing at work all day I wanted to just order online and lay on the couch. At 6:20pm I put my order in, and a few minutes later I received the confirmation email. At about 7:26pm I gave up and had to call in. The man who answered put me on hold for about 3 minutes. When he came back to the line, I gave him my address and explained I had been waiting an hour. He said "it's on it's way hun, it's crazy busy in here tonight because of the Sox." I understand it's Saturday night, the Sox are on, but I ordered buffalo fingers, fries and mozzarella sticks. Yea, I'm a fat kid, so what? These are quick and easy foods. Okay, I get a phone call about 15 minutes after that, the guy tells me that he had JUST received my order, the fax machine had been down. I explained I had been waiting for an hour and 15 minutes. Well, he didn't even send a free drink to make up for it, let alone take something off the bill. I would have liked to not paid for the cold food that showed up my door TWO HOURS after I ordered it. I should have canceled the order and called somewhere else but Dipietro's hasn't let me down before now! =(

This is my go to place for pizza, wings and subs in Malden. Sometimes, when I'm there just to pick up a large sub, I'm tempted to ask for a slice to go. The specials, which are the the website, are great. You can feed a family of 5 easily with any one of the specials. Since I don't have a family of 5, I have plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. $25 will cover 2 meals! Great value for takeout. As for service, they are fast and friendly. Always pleasant on the phone and in person. I only do takeout, but I always get my food in the time they quote me over the phone. Never have I had to wait when I get to the restaurant.

Ah, DiPietro's: what every pizza and sub joint should be. I grew up in the Edgeworth neighborhood and therefore grew up with DiPietro's for pizza. Their pie is perfect: dough is thin, just the right texture. Crust is puffy, crispy on the outside and soft and doughy on the inside. Their sauce is incredible and they have the ratios of sauce/cheese down pat. Their subs are also incredible. The rolls they use come from Piantedosi down the street I believe and are always fresh. They never skimp on the meat on a sandwich - NEVER. They have one of the best Italian subs I've ever eaten and make it the proper way. Roast beef subs here are also phenomenal. Staff is always super nice, courteous, and fast - I call in a sandwich and it's ready in 5 minutes, no joke. My mother has ordered here frequently over the past 10-15 years and when she moved out of the delivery area into Medford, they still delivered to her. Really, their service cannot be beat. They have upgraded their little dining area nicely over the last few years and have some nice flat screen TVs all around that are typically tuned into sports. There is a laundromat adjacent to the store with a door in the interior that leads directly to it. If you need to go to the laundromat, you can stop in here and have a bite to eat while waiting for your clothes. The location is very convenient on Highland Ave. at the corner of Charles St. directly across from Big A's. There is a little parking lot on the side and some on-street parking. It can get a bit tricky to park when school is getting out, but otherwise, it's decent. I love DiPietro's and whenever I'm in Boston, I make sure to stop here for a slice. They also have "The DiPietro's Family Special" which is a large cheese pizza, 2 large subs, large fries or onion rings, and a 2-liter soda for around $20 - a price that's hard to beat, for sure!

Sub was good. The wait too way too long. It was only 11am, no other customers. but a sub took about 20 minutes. Would have been five stars with a shorter wait time.

  • Chris K.

This is my hands down favorite sub shop on Earth. I like it so much that after 4 months out of the country I went directly there to get a steak and egg sub from the airport before going home. It takes like home. They keep this place super clean, the guys who work there treat everyone like a cousin, and they consistently win Malden's Best for their pizza and subs. My personal favorite is the steak bomb, but I'm sure you'll love whatever you get.

I remember going to DiPietro's as a kid, visiting family in the area. I was in love with their fresh pita. I still love it. I have ordered delivery a couple of times, and while they tend to take a while longer than they say they will (they always promise "35 minutes" but I have never waited less than 45 minutes/an hour) it is worth it. The delivery folks are always friendly, and when the person on the phone conveniently ignored my telling her which bell t o ring and WHAT NAME IS ON SAID DOORBELL and therefore woke up my neighbor the first time, the delivery person made sure to make a note of the instructions for the next time and actually followed them. Yay. I have had the plain wings (yum!) a steak tip sub (a little too much "grill" flavor, but not bad) an aranchini (SO good!) and a pizza (perfect balance of everything) So they will surely have more business from me!

Prett-y, pret-ty, pret-tyyy good. My bf works near here and once brought home some leftovers from lunch. It smelled all garlicky and good so I had some. YUM! It was some specialty pizza with olive oil, garlic, chicken and broccoli and it was so good. Now I sometimes make him bring a fresh pizza home on his way from work. :) He gets a bunch of stuff here (steak & cheese sub, arancini balls) and says it's all fabulous. I had a salad once, too, but it wasn't all that.

I hesitate to give anything 5 stars unless it blows my drawers off. DiPietro's, for being in boring suburb of Boston, is pretty damn good. Pizza is something I feel I am somewhat of an expert on. I've eaten at hundreds of pizza places during my life. Some like greek style pizza, some like the factory pies being churched out of Papa Gino's and Dominos, some like Chicago deep dish and some like the upscale, fancy pizza with everything under the sun falling off it. Me, I like things simple. DiPietro's makes one of the best pizzas I've ever had. It reminds me those huge New York City style slices so can buy on the side of a busy street, under an awning, over a counter. A money for slice exchange and one piece will fill you up. The crust on the bottom is thin but firm enough to hold things together. The handle has a crisp on the outside and is doughy on the inside. The cheese and sauce balance is perfect. It's perfectly seasoned and they don't skimp on cheese. I love it. I will continue to go back over and over again as I've never had a bad experience. So, now that I've talked about the pizza... there are two other things here that need mention. One, the rice balls are SO good. Even if I despised pizza, I would go there for the rice balls. They have have them with spinach n cheese and ham n cheese and man, these things are awesome. If you've never had one or don't know what I'm talking about, go in there and order a rice ball with sauce and get ready for heaven. Lastly, WINGS. NO place in the boston area can mess with these wings. Most places, if they don't specialize in wings, serve skimpy little things with no meat, overpowered by whatever exotic sauce they think is yummy. I had a small order of DiPietro's hot buffalo wings today at lunch and thought I was back at my favorite truck stop bar-b-q place in Maine. These things were perfect. The buffalo sauce was hot and sweet. It was just messy enough to remind you what you were eating but the sauce wasn't in thick globs and puddles to ruin the experience. And the wings themselves were plump! There was a good amount of meat on there! It's a nice relief to find someplace you can lean on for good wings. Close to 5 starts for DiPietro's!

This was by far my favorite pizza spot in high school. Still tend to go here when I have the time. AWESOME, huge slices of pizza. Best chicken tenders I've had in a while. and they have pacman... I don't know what more you could ask for from a pizza place. 5 stars!

  • JEM C.

DiPietro's pizza can be awesome....why only 4 stars? Because they lack consistency. One week the pizza is unreal finger lickin' and the other it tastes just ok (like cold old cheese). I have no idea if its the delivery time to blame, but seriously its a gamble. Im about to admit something only we (and our nosey neighbor who pointed it out to us---oh wow you guys get that pizza all the time!) know...I order this pizza every week, sometimes twice a week. So yeah, obvi the greatness outweighs the few times its just ok. I heart diPietros. (I also like the rice balls with the sauce on the side) so yumtastic!

I have never been the kind of person to go gaga for buffalo wings. And then I met my boyfriend, and I have successfully been converted. I drive by this place a lot and the neon sign proclaiming their service of wings to the community finally enticed me enough to order. The wings were just ok. The sauces were kind of weird. I got garlic and my boyfriend got regular buffalo. We also had a salad, which was your typical take-out iceberg lettuce fare. I really need to mention the pita that came with the salad. Holy shit. It was an incredible tasting pita. I was eating it thinking, "How can a pita taste this good?" Despite the pita, I don't think I'll be eating here again. Life is too short to suffer through subpar wings.

  • Rachel T.

Best buffalo chicken salad I've ever had mainly because it comes with a huge side of blue cheese (perfect for diappge) and a piece of their homemade pita bread. I want to have that pita bread's babies. Pizza is good, but a little pricey. They load it up pretty good and the slices are sizable, so it's definitely worth the extra cash -- especially the Double Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza. They've had to raise their prices a few times over the past few years due to increased costs, but they go out of their way to educate their customers by displaying relevant information at the register. I really appreciated the open communication.

I'm DiPiuertos 2 Stars due to my last experience. I order to subs a Chicken Cutlet Parm and a Big Tom... When I recieved my food (delievery/ pretty quick actually). I realized that they label the subs. But some idiot that works their screwed up the names. Another issue is the price two subs where $20. But the only good thing about DiPietros is the portions. So if they dont mess up your order and your willing to pay $20 for two subs your all set. Hopefully Next time I order everything will have become better, but for now I'll keep it two stars because of delivery, portions, and taste.

Ordered boneless buffalo wings and waffle fries through GrubHub. By the time they arrived, the wings were barely warm and the fries were soggy (not sure if the long wait was due to GrubHub or the restaurant). Also, the boneless wings have the appearance and texture of something you'd find on sale in the freezer aisle and the sauce they used smelled "off." These boneless wings are definitely one of the worst I have had from a restaurant. On the positive note, I have had their steak and cheese calzone in the past and it was delicious. Next time maybe I'll try pick up vs. delivery and see if the quality improves.

2 1/2 stars. Meh, it's okay. Nothing special. I've tried the pizza, which is what brought the ratings down... it really isn't anything special, kind of boring. A lot of pizza from Malden seems to be the bland, tomato paste-y type pizza with boring bland crust. It's not terrible but it isn't that great either. I didn't get it with a ton of toppings (just pepperoni), but if the pepperoni isn't that great I can't imagine the rest is. The subs are okay. Also, nothing really special. Kind of borderline between good and eh. The arancini was pretty good but if you're the type of person to actually order an arancini you probably won't be impressed. The service definitely helped bring it down to two stars instead of a three. I went in there once to get 2 subs and a pizza. It wasn't very busy inside; when I walked in there was 2 people eating together. I had ordered 20 minutes earlier on the phone and they said it'd be a minute when I got there, even though they said 20 minutes over the phone. I had ordered a buffalo chicken sub, an italian sub, and a cheese pizza. Nothing too hard to make. 30 minutes go by (50 since I ordered), 3 other couples and a single person get served who came in and ordered after me, and I'm sitting there waiting for my food still. Why are they getting served before me? I don't know, but that was probably the third or fourth time I had been to DiPietro's and will most likely be my last. It's not that it's terrible, it's just that it isn't that good and situations like I was subjected to last time leave a sour taste in my mouth. I agree with other Yelpers that they definitely lack consistency.

Pizza is often the conundrum of takeout cuisine. It seems a concept of three ingredients is hard to perfect and very easy to screw up. Dipietros in Malden saves the day. Thin crust, good cheese, and an excellent red sauce (hard to come by!) make this great. I also appreciate their cheese to sauce and topping to cheese ratios. Because lets face it-pizza is pizza but GOOD pizza is a zen balance of all components. ...wow- I just got really deep about pizza... anyways- The prices are low, the pizza is great, and the service is friendly. Plus for a delicious and productive afternoon, they share space with a Laundromat. Definitely worth a try.

I used to like this place until I got food poisining here from a pizza slice from the hot case. Pizza, calzone's, rice balls, subs. They have Donkey Kong and Galiga video games to play while you wait.

One of the first places I went when I moved to Malden. I only get their wings (Medium) and they are AWESOME!!!! I eat so much everytime that I go,,,that I almost get sick.

I came here after reading all the reviews about the buffalo wings. i found them to be way over sauced and messy to eat. I do like my wings to have some sauce on them, but they were drowning in a fiery red liquid. I'm not sure if i would get them again.

This is the best pizza/sub restaurant in the area. I don't order from anyplace else. I've tried a number of different things from the menu and have loved every one.

I tried a few other places in my new hometown of malden, and this, by far is the best. They have consistently good pizza, good subs, and delivery is quick. They added a 1 dollar surcharge to the delivery recently, but they have added a note to every delivery to let you know it goes straight to the delivery person, and basically is there to cover rising gas prices. I order far too frequently from this place :)

Great Italian subs! Just how they're supposed to be! Everything, extra hots!

So in the boy's neighborhood, there are about a million shitty greek pizza joints and then one shining beacon of hope without greek-style crust, and Di Pietro's is it! The toppings are generous and the prices are average. Try the Hawaiian with bacon, it's delicious! In fact, I know there is a slice left, and I want it. Right. now. Must resist. Oh, the grease content isn't high either, yay!

Good pizza but don't deliver if you live more than 2 miles away. I have been ordering from there for a few months until one of their drivers got lost. I live 2.8 miles away in Everett on border of Medford, in the Wellington area. It's only three turns to get from DiPietro's to my house. I am confused that the number of other drivers that have delivered to my house didn't say it was too far. Unfortunately, since that driver got lost, they refuse to go to my house. I am sad because I like their food. Guess next time I will have to pick it up but will probably just find a new place.

Okay, so I lived down the street from this place and, at one point, probably ate here about 4 times a week. I am a take-out-whore. But this place is worth whoring yourself out to!!! Their wings are the best this side of Buffalo. Their pizza is really good (and I'm from NYC)! And the sandwiches and salads have always made me say "Mmmmm". Even the pasta dishes are well worth kicking the Atkins diet to the curb! Always fresh and always yummy. You can see everything they're doing in the kitchen- which is nice for those paranoid/irritating people who fear/deserve their food being spit in. The staff are really nice and really friendly- and get to know you pretty fast (especially if you're there often enough to get paid for it). I highly recommend this place! I would have given it 4 stars, but the Pac Man and Donkey Kong machines put the rating over the top! Save the princess... But don't let your wings get cold!

The pizza was gross and the manager or who ever that rude guy was was even grosser. We went in around 10:10pm not noticing that they were closing at 10:30pm because my cousin had just moved to the neighborhood and we were out looking for some where to eat. They take out order and when we politely asked if we could split the total onto two cards the nasty manager said "no" that we were already "making things difficult" for them, I'm guessing because of the time we got there. Very rude and unprofessional and he could have worded that a little bit better us being the customers and all. NEVER GIVING THEM BUSINESS AGAIN!

The grilled chicken salads are amazing. The chicken is marinated and grilled to perfection. The vegetables are crispy and fresh and the pita bread is delivered hot. Be prepared to answer the question from co-workers "what is that amazing smell" ya it's that good.

I tried them for the first time last night. The fries were okay. The pizza was pretty mediocre. Everything had lost its heat by the time of the delivery. I read another review that there's a huge gamble when it comes to quality. Guess I had a case of beginner's -bad- luck.

I'm kinda a pizza snob. I've had alot of problems finding decent pizza in the Boston area. I work around Malden, and i've found that it is a town LITTERED with shitty pizza joints. Seriously, It took me forever to find something decent. DiPietros is my go-to spot for good pizza when I'm at work. By far the best place in the surrounding area. They go a LITTLE bit too crazy with the toppings as far as quanity goes, but it's still good. Vegetable toppings taste quite fresh. *UPDATE* I ordered the "Mama's Pizza" Last week and it drove me CRAZY!! It was so fucking good. I just added a star. It's got Chicken and brocolli and no red sauce. Olive oil.....and some other stuff that I can't remember. I'm gonna go out of my mind thinking about this pizza. Oh, and like another reviewer mentioned, the grease situation here is very under control.

Damn good pizza. Real hand-tossed crust, none of that pre-fab frozen garbage. Awsome fried peppers, onions & sausage grinder too. I never have the same person wait on me twice. Service is inconsistant, but the food is always good. They should also deliver past 9:00 pm. Come on, I'm usually just getting home.

Love the steak tip salad. The pizza is the best in the area.

This place is great! I usually order the steak tip salad here and love it! Fresh veggies are always used, and the lettuce is never wilted. Steak tips are always cooked to perfection and I LOVE the feta! The staff is ALWAYS so nice and that's why I keep coming back. Keep up the good work :)

Good pizza. I might give them 3.5 stars if I could, but I'll round it up. I've never had a serious complaint going there, but the pizza's not quite as good as some of the local competition. That could be a matter of opinion, though, as I know plenty of people who swear by DiPietro's. They are very much in the pizza/sub shop model with a big open kitchen where you can see the pies go into the oven and subs fixed up on the grill. They even have some soda's under their "own" label that are a nice change of pace from the usual fare.

I have luncheons for my volunteers bi-monthly and I always order from DiPietros catering menu. The service is amazing. I get a lot of food and they ALWAYS help me carry it to my car no matter how busy it is. The food is great too. My volunteers love what I bring. They have a great selection of items to choose from and the price is very reasonable. The only thing that's not so great is the parking, but it's worth it!

Great pizza and chicken fingers. The fries are decent too. Wasn't a huge fan of the steak and cheese though. Service can be a little slow here, they always seem to be understaffed, but the pizza is worth the wait!

I want to preface this with say DiPietro's used to be the undisputed best slice in Malden from 2004-2007. It was so delicious that I was good for a Pizza a week easily. Then almost out of nowhere there was a dramatic fall off in quality. It was by no means subtle, either. It went from a slice that you bite into and literally experience a burst of flavors from the sauce to the savory crust complimented by the perfect ratio of cheeses, to a horrifying hot circle of garbage. The crust became cardboard, the sauce turned into something you'd expect from the lunch lady's attempt at pizza. I was in denial for a few pies after my initial terrible one. Truth is, the quality really fell off. Looks like they got away from what they did best, tried to cut corners or be more economical, and sacrificed the quality. I miss the old DiPietro's.

Some of the best Buffalo wings I've ever had. They also have very good pizza here. Though I am not too fond of the steak tips.

I am not a hot wings person, but this restaurant changed my tune. They have so many varieties, everyone will have a favorite kind. Their BBQ buffalo wings have the perfect balance of kick and sweetness to them. Their salads are very generous, and even good for people who ARE on the Atkins diet! The pizza is not that impressive, but their calzones are awesome. I order from them quite often, and my biggest recommendation is, if you live within 5-10 minutes of them, NEVER get delivery. The waiting time is just TOO long.

They don't lie when they say on the menu "Easily Malden and Medford's Best Salads." Their salads are delicious, with huge portions and a giant piece of their homemade pita bread which is always amazing. I haven't tried much else on the menu though because I never want to stray from the salads! They usually deliver pretty quick and the guy that answers the phone is really nice.

I go here almost twice a week just for the salad!! I cannot get enough of the chicken teriyaki salad with there fresh pita. Everyone on here said oh the pizza!! But I swear if you eat this salad, others will never compare to this!

Best pizza in town. Easy. They also deliver extraordinarily fast, there are pizza places closer to me that take twice as long! The only thing that ever disappointed me was their mozzarella sticks...they're pretty expensive and were tiny and didn't taste particularly good. But the pizza is always delicious!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
