We always order take out from Wang's but this is our first time actually coming in. Service was very good and it was a very calm atmosphere. Food came out in a timely fashion and was very delicious. General Tso chicken, dry string beans, and chicken and broccoli!! We will continue to patronize this establishment. Only negative thing was the waitress was literally pacing next to our table.

The only Chinese restaurant we'll go to in the area. Best crab rangoon I've had. The first time we went there we ended up ordering it twice, we couldn't believe how good it was. Green salad with ginger dressing is also delicious, although basic. We also enjoy the sushi!

The food was "okay". Not alot came with order. Didn't taste as good as other local shops. Specials price were a few bucks too high. Although the soup was a nice touch with special.

Three days later, I'm still enjoying Wang's Egg Foo Young with vegetables. There are three facts you might glean from this one sentence: 1. Portion size is big. 2. Egg Foo Young w/vegetables is good. 3. The food is so good, you want to keep it and keep eating it! Service is friendly, prices are reasonable, they offer Japanese & Chinese food, and Wang's stays open late. Enough said.

Sushi lovers beware-- this place is highly addictive. I first bellied up to Wang's Table because it went into the same place where formerly, Asian Bay, another amazing sushi joint, had been. Oh, we had hours of laughs, glasses of sake, and plates upon plates of delicious sushi at the Bay. They even named rolls after my friends and I! But this review is about Wang, and his magnificent table of goods. The owners of Wang's completely remodeled the interior-- rolling out carpets, installing a new bar and new booths, as well as some gorgeous decorative accents, such as eastern weavings, a gargantuan fish tank, and a bubbly fountain. Wang's offers a full menu of sushi, sashimi, maki, and even traditional chinese food offerings, too. They have some really unique maki rolls -- my fave is the Amazing Roll. The amazing roll has yellowtail and whitefish on top, spicy tuna inside, along with avocado, and four different and colorful kinds of caviar on the tippity top. Wang's will tantalize you with a list of hot and cold sakes, sake mixed drinks, traditional mixed drinks, beers (Japanese and American), wines, scorpion bowls and of course, soda for the kids. They also serve fried cheesecake and a to-die-for chocolate mousse cake. I recommend both. While the food, drink, and decor will all dazzle you, the company you'll keep at Wang's will warm your heart. A husband-wife couple own the place, and are kind, warm, and funny. They sometimes have their adorable baby in there, too! In addition to them, a cast of somewhat regular characters stop in, all with jovial personalities and true Haverhillian wit. Wang's is a high-quality sushi restaurant in home sweet Haverhill.

Best sushi north of Boston. I love all the special rolls, and the waitress is very good at making suggestions. Always great service!

I didn't think the sushi was overall as good as New Moon Garden up the road. Just my opinion.

Hey, look at that. I had lunch at Wang's table yesterday and someone just reviewed it. I might as well join the party. Wang's Table has really good sushi and Chinese food that's much better than the normal take out places. Lots of fun sushi rolls that you'll never find anywhere else, too. My wife thinks the miso soup is too salty but I think it's about right. I've never had any of the fancy drinks and I'm always full before dessert because I usually order more sushi. I'll agree with the last reviewer that the Amazing Roll is terrific but I like the Marble Roll better. Update (1/11/08): Nothing's changed, everything is just as good as it was 3 months ago. I'm not sure if this is a useless update or the nicest thing that anyone could add to a 5 star review. Consistency and quality - can't beat that. Update (3/11/08): Still consistent and delicious.

All I can say is thank god for Yelp! We went here after reading the reviews on Yelp. This place is awesome! You'd probably never think to go here but once you go in, the place is clean clean clean. The food is OUTSTANDING. It is not greasy at all and cooked very clean and flavorful. I think this just replaced every Chinese/Japanese restaurant for us in the local area. We were all very impressed.

Easily my favorite restaurant in downtown Haverhill, and by far the best Chinese food in the area! The sauces on the entrees are not the heavy sweet syrupy sauces found at most area Chinese restaurants. Though the prices are higher than some other Chinese restaurants, the portions are generous, the food tastes like quality food, and the atmosphere and staff are friendly.

I took my friends out here the first weekend I moved into downtown Haverhill. I was recommended this place by friends because they said it was a good balance of food and drink. Drinkwise, the pitchers were very cheap and the cocktails were awesome (aka strong). The atmosphere was fun because I very seldom go to a Chinese food place that has a good size bar area. As for the food, it was pretty standard American Chinese food. It is a bit more pricey, but I think it evens out with the price of drinks. I'd give it a 4 for drinks and a 3 for food. But definitely a fun place to hang out if you are looking for a change of pace.

I don't even like sushi, but I lovev the volcano roll!! The crab rangoon is perfect as well. The drinks are hard as most Asian joints, and the bar tender was cool. The desserts were pretty amazing too. I got some sort of truffle thing. The atmosphere was dim and stylish. Overall a good experience. The only gripe I had was the waitress was a little rude. She would want us to slow down when we talked, so when we did, she acted super offended. So, just sit at the bar if you go!

  • Chhun T.

My first time here and the food was okay but the service was absolutely disappointing. The waiters was rude, I would never go again to this place for any reason and I don't recommend this restaurant, not even to my worst enemy.

I can only speak for take out service. I'm really surprised at the at poor reviews. The food was excellent, well prepared and fresh. We stared with the duck spring rolls which are similar to peaking duck pancakes but in spring roll form, these were freshly prepared with tender duck and a crispy outside. They were kind enough to make me spicy garlic noodles which is not on the mend- nicely stir fried noodles with a spicy garlic flavor and large pieces of garlic. They were simple and excellent. The fried rice had many different meats and veggies and you could tell that they use a wok set at a high temp all the food was well browned and caramelized. This is Chinese food in its Americanized form but when you want the generals chicken this is the place to go.

    (4)
  • Christine L.

This is the only Chinese place we go to. Really good sushi, scorpion bowls & Pu Pu platter type food. Might be good to know that the Pad Thai is watery and Mai Tai's are pre-made.

Ehh, I'm sorry Wangs, I must drop you a star. We went there New Years Eve, reservation for 9. If I wasn't giving them the benefit of the doubt, because it was NYE and I have had other decent experiences here, I would drop another star. So the restaurant itself wasn't too crazy, but there were a lot of people coming in to pick up food and the phones were ringing off the hook. They sat us in the wayyy back where it was 900 degrees and smelled funny and I think our waitress was the only waitress AND in charge of the phones, so I don't blame her for this, but we weren't even seen for at LEAST 20 mins after we got there. Finally when we were seen the waitress was totally stressed out (again, not her fault) and I felt like ordering was like pulling teeth. I ended up getting the Dragon Serum drink I had before which was still really good. A friend of mine ordered a Blue Hawaiian. I don't know what it was.... But, it was not a blue Hawaiian! Lol. Everything came out at all different times, which understandable if the kitchen was slammed. The food was alright this time, sushi - okay... Again, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt due to the craziness of the holiday and we will go back, but I'm in no hurry.

After reading the reviews on here I did NOT want to go here but my friend is a die hard "judge for yourself" type. Thank God as this place was excellent. It was a busy June Saturday and service was fast and attentive. The sushi was quite good, my friend who only eats rolls tried tuna sushi "it tastes like butter?!". Vegetable tempora was crunchy and the veges were not overcooked. Price seemed reasonable to me, high for my friend but we would both definitely go back.

Great food when you eat in and delivery is always fast. Big portions and good quality food. Sesame chicken is great and their lo mein is amazing. Strong drinks too! Definitely my favorite Chinese place around.

    (4)
  • Chris C.

This place has really good egg rolls and lo mein. I also came here for their lunch special, and you cannot beat 2 maki rolls with soup and salad for $8 (if I remember correctly). The service is pretty good. I'll write more when I get a chance, but this place is a must if you're in Haverhill and looking for some good Chinese food.

  • Audrey M.

I LOVE WANG'S! I don't even care how hilarious that sounds. If you like sushi you need to be here. I only wish they had a larger selection of specialty rolls. Service is friendly and very fast. Drinks from the bar are excellent.

  • Matthew A.

Yeah, I am a fan. Really good, fresh, and quality Chinese food usually found in the Metro Boston area, now in the Merrimac Valley! All I can think about is now when can I go back and try some more dishes! Everything is fresh and delicious with creative presentation. One neg is that I thought the portions were a bit small for the price. We will be back. Def.

Best sushi in town. Love the volcano roll. It's literally a explosion of flavor in your mouth. The service can be improved.

We've never eaten out in Haverhill since it's a bit far from home, but we thought we'd give it a try. We frankly didn't expect the sushi to be as good as it was and we'll definitely be going back here. My husband had some sashimi and the Rock roll. I had the spicy roll combination, which consisted of 3 rolls: spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy crab meat & avocado. The tuna and salmon were a bit too chopped up for my tastes (the pieces of fish were chopped so small that I had trouble identifying which roll was rich through the spicy sauce) but it was still quite tasty. This combination was a lot of food - 3 rolls of 6 pieces each and I couldn't finish it all. The sushi was fresh and priced very reasonably. My husband had some good cold sake, though this was much more expensive than we expected ($23.95 for a small bottle). Their hot tea was good, as was the edamame and gyoza appetizers we ordered. Dessert was ice cream inside pastry - light and tasty. It got busier the longer we were there and it seems that they have a lot of regulars based on the greetings the staff gave many people who came in. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Like I said, we'll definitely be going back here when we're in the area again!

  • Rachael K.

Food is usually good here, albeit overpriced. Half the time the rice isn't cooked right though(still hard inside). Not happy about paying almost $10 for sweet n sour chicken to receive chicken fingers with sauce to pour over them. How lazy is that they can't even make the actual dish and then charge too much for it! It's supposed to be white meat chicken, veggies, cherries & pineapple in sauce, I can get fried chicken & sweet n sour sauce at Wendy's if I wanted that nevermind for much less. I think I will be trying somewhere else from now on.

Great sushi! Rainbow roll and Spicy tuna are my favs. Slow service is the only drawback. Bar tender knows his shit! One scorpion bowl for two people and your feeling gooood!

  • Joshua C.

I'm a big fan. Jeff is a great guy and really takes his time to know his customer's. I always sit at the bar, he's happy to accommodate you with whatever sports you want to watch. They have an impressive whiskey/scotch selection(that I like) and tequila, which I'm not a fan of. I love the sushi that they have. Always fresh and high quality fish. Only reason why I gave 4 stars is $$$.

I'm proud to have a restaurant like this in Haverhill. The atmosphere is incredible. The food is delicious, and everything is high quality. The drinks are on point. The sushi is amazing, and really fresh. The only thing about this place is that they are super pricey. Definitely check these guys out.

This unfortunately named restaurant has good Chinese food and sushi. Hand rolls are skimpy. Tunatini is a martini glass with tuna and other good stuff. Very cool.

The new location is great and the decor is beautiful! I thought the sushi was just as good as it was before the move. Was slightly disappointed with the new waitstaff who was kind of slow and not very friendly. Also, was hoping the new menu would have some exciting new veggie options (at least maybe a full-out veggie roll) but it doesn't. They did add a veggie combo plate but it's really just a sweet potato roll, an avo-cuke roll and inari -- which I would have ordered anyway. All that aside, I do still really like Wang's Table. The owners are really wonderful people who work REALLY hard to maintain a super clean restaurant with only the freshest fish available. It is still my fav sushi place around and I hope they do well at their new location.

Food always good and consistent here, and service got a lot better. I'm guessing it's because we've been here enough so the owner and employees started to treat us as regulars now.

New location is beautiful. Great staff and service. Had Edamame, Steamed veg dumplings, and 2 sizzling platters. Plenty of left-overs. Large selection if Japanese and Chinese. Everything was delicious.

Even 1 star is too much. If I could give negative stars, I would. #1 Never eat sushi from a Chinese restaurant. For real. Just don't. If you want first class sushi, go to Shio in Portsmouth, NH. #2 The food here is horrific. $20 per entree for worse than mall quality Chinese food. #3 The service is not much better than the food. #4 Will never go here again & couldn't recommend it to my dog.

I'm on the side of the disappointed reviewers here. Our friends said it was excellent Chinese food so I was surprised to see the Sushi offerings. Always a bad sign in a Chinese restaurant. The food was only ok, pretty standard fare though the veggies seemed fresh. The restaurant itself is very pretty and we were seated promptly. The service was an issue for being to rushed. We were asked 3 times if we were ready to order within minutes of sitting and then they kept trying to whisk the plates away, even while there was food on them. The spicy dumplings were tasty and the eggplant in garlic sauce delicious. The dish we ordered with chicken, shrimp and scallops was too much chicken. I didn't even get a shrimp! (the others in the group got them all) I think most of the disappointment was my expectation of real Chinese food, not the standard Americanized version.

  • Robert B.

I've been here a few times since they moved to their new location on washington st. Not impressed with service or drinks, the food was good, but consistently have had to wait 20 plus minutes just to be seen and food has always taken another 40 to 50 minutes to come out, and have to ask a second time or you won't see it ever. Place is really clean, but if I'm going to spend money on a night out I'd much rather go to Hans Garden for the consistently great service, food, and drinks. I come here with friends every so often, if service changes I'll update my review.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! DON'T EAT HERE. Had a horrible experience here. Came in with a group and requested to sit in the back area at a booth (they tried sitting us by the door) and we were told that area was "closed." Seems odd that a tiny restaurant would close the only area that had booths, considering that's where most people like to sit! After 5 minutes of arguing with us, we were finally seated where we requested. BUT THEN THE REST OF THE NIGHT the service was extremely rude, even yelling at us! Very unprofessional. Like they were mad at us for requesting NOT to be sat near the door. Then the funny thing is another group came in and was sat at the "closed area" without a problem. Sorry that coming into your restaurant to spend my hard earned MONEY is such an inconvenience to you. Words of advice, DO NOT EAT HERE! EVER! Food was nothing special, and definitely not worth the hassle and embarrassment.

Since Wang's moved to the new location, we haven't really enjoyed the food. The last time we ordered the sesame chicken was poor, the kids didn't enjoy the beef terriyaki or the roast pork, and my sushi was so-so. The prices have increased, and it just doesn't seem worth it anymore. The delivery service seems to get slower and slower...my husband doesn't like Li's or I would switch over to them completely.

Outstanding restaurant. Sat the the bar Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised. Food was exceptional and the bar was stocked with premium options. Very clean and food rivaled Chinatown. We will be back!

There has been several disappointments with Wang's Table recently. Tonight we ordered delivery. An hour after we ordered we get a call stating they couldn't find our house (and I Could barely understand the delivery guy). 15 minutes later I call the restaurant stating I want to cancel my order as its been almost an hour and a half. The manager on duty said the delivery man was there when in reality he wasn't. The manager was trying to talk me out of canceling and didnt offer any thing for the troubles. It is super frustrating considering we live less than 10 minutes from Wang's. They have great food, but this is not the first time "being lost" has happened. Since they moved from the small space downtown, we have noticed a steady decline in service. I am not sure we will return and if we do, we certainly won't order take out!

WANGS! How could you not want to eat at a place named WANGS?! Jokes aside, this place came recommended by a few friends who love the sushi. SO while on vacation, we made it a mission to have sushi with these friends and hello WANGS. Was totally not ready to hear an accent all the way in MASS, but sure enough there was one there. The Drink menu has a shocker, a drink name "Pearl Harbor" but i didn't order. It however is a go to drink for one of the homies. The sushi is good, the service good. The company was better and the fun that followed was even better.

Had been to Wang's Table once before for a birthday dinner and had enjoyed the sushi and drinks. Tonight, my husband and I ordered take-out delivered to our home. Once the food arrived, we opened the bag and discovered instead of the chicken and broccoli dish we had ordered, we had been given lomein. We called the restaurant, explained the mix-up, which they admitted had been a register input mistake on their end, and were told they could re-deliver the correct dish. Over an hour later, the correct dish was finally brought to us. The delivery worker then demanded the lomein be returned (seemed pretty gross to us, hope they don't re-use it for other orders.) On top of that, the dishes we had ordered were soggy with no flavor and the prices seemed ridiculously high. We will be avoiding them at all costs in the future.

Service here is not good. Rude, short, kind of miserable. Sushi is fine but definitely not the best, or close to it. I'm not sure if there are other places for sushi in Haverhill, I hope for the residents' sake that there are. Sweet potato roll is awesome. Actual sushi - eh, it does the trick but it's not very exciting.

It's hard to find a really good eggroll, but they know how to make them here. They are crunchy, fresh, not too greasy, crispy, and they have amazing flavor! I also think they have the best hot and sour soup around. The service is quick, and the staff is really friendly! Very clean bathrooms as well, which is a plus. Hands down, the best place in Haverhill for chinese food. The sushi is very fresh and flavorful and they have some nice lunch specials. The scorpion bowls are really good, on the strongish side, and they have a really unique drink list.

Allrighty folks, this place is getting better. Either that or the Itamae is finally getting the point that I want The Good Stuff. On a visit a few weeks ago they had live uni (pictured) and it was wonderful. Their presentation wasn't quite up to Fugakyu's standards (no rock salt base that the spines crunched around in) but hey, it's Haverhill. I think that after seeing my enthusiasm for this uni he started to open up a bit. Having a sushi craving in Haverhill on a Tuesday and not wanting to drive too far I reluctantly made my way back to Wang's for a little nigiri and maybe some sashimi. I grabbed a seat at the sushi bar and asked my usual question "any Toro?". Nope, no Toro. I scanned the case and what did I find? LIVE SCALLOPS!!!! they had four big boys right up front. I stood up and took a peek inside the slightly opened shells and spotted the true reward, scallop roe. Jackpot. At $10.75 each I ordered two sashimi style and asked for the roe to be prepared as the Itamae saw fit. The waiter was a bit incredulous that I wanted the roe but I caught the Itamae smiling. He knew. Presentation (pictured) was typical and the scallop was just as sweet and tender as any that I've ever had and served with a ponzu dipping sauce in a cocktail glass.. The roe (also pictured) was lightly torched and served nigiri style. The roe was the highlight of the night, smooth, creamy and with a taste more subtle and nuanced than uni. I wanted more. They also had Japanese giant scallop, these were about 5" across and about 3" thick. I asked for some sashimi and it was delivered thinly sliced as one would slice abalone. It was Very Good. Wang's is definitely stepping up to the plate when it come to unusual (for the area) offerings and I hope more people get into the Good Stuff and leave the Maki for the noobs. flickr.com/photos/105617… flickr.com/photos/105617… flickr.com/photos/105617…

I have enjoyed Wang's Table in Haverhill for a while now, but I hadn't been there since moving to North Carolina a few years back. I went there when I first moved back about 2 weeks ago. I ordered a cosmo, and my friend and I both shared a few rolls. My friend also got a seaweed salad, which she enjoyed. The cosmo was fresh and delish. The rolls were also alright, they tasted fine, but were loose. The server was nice, but because it was a dead lunch, they were all over us. I have never been disappointed by WT, per se, but I do not think that I will hold it as highly as I always have in the past. If a friend suggests we go there, I will, but I just don't like it enough to pick it myself anymore. It was just under $40 per person- we each got a grown-up drink, but we shared the appetizer, 2 signature rolls, and one simple roll. It's a little high priced for the quality and presentation. But again, it's not bad, and I wouldn't mind going again if it was a group suggestion. Good luck, and enjoy!

We have been to the new location four or five times now. We enjoy the cocktails and the sake. We have eaten appetizers also, which are good. The ambiance is very sleek. The sushi and sashimi is presented artfully, but we haven't tried it. They have an extensive scotch and sake selection. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. FYI, they do not offer American beer...but hey, it won't kill you to try something besides Bud Light :)

Went to Wangs last night for my bday. Food was great drinks were good. Staff was horrible. They were not very organized. Our waitress was upset with us for no apparent reason. I happened to look in her direction once and she yelled at me "it's coming". What was coming I have no idea?! Then when we finished eating they handed us the bill. We were not ready to leave so we asked her to put another round of drinks on the bill. The second we got our drinks the previously angry stressed out waitress told us they had to move us because they needed the table. There were empty tables all around us?! After spending of $200 bucks I expect to be able to finish my drink in peace.

Wang's is Haverhill's go to bar and sushi place... the place always has at least 10 people in it regardless of what time of day and on friday and Saturday nights its packed... so the sushi is always super fresh. The chinese food is ok... they try to upgrade on traditional recipes and its kind of a fail... the peas and carrots in the lobster sauce for instance... and its kinda sweet too which surprised me... Very clean and very respectable owner's. You can eat off the floors here. I've read a few of the other reviews about bad service...I've never had it here. Always impeccable and neatly pressed and fast... Grab some drinks, sushi, and appetizers and your gonna have a great time.

Wang's Table has the most unfriendly staff, and the worst service I've ever had. I met up with friends I hadn't seen in awhile. It was early - 5:15 on a Friday night - when we arrived, and there were a few people at the sushi bar, and two tables occupied. While we were catching up and chatting and looking at the menu, the waitress came over three times to ask if we were ready to order. Clearly, we were not - we still had our menus open, which is a clue that the diners are still deciding. I'm not sure why they were in such a rush, since there were as many servers as parties. We quickly ordered $50 worth of sushi and I said, I guess, "if we're still hungry, we can order more, right?" We got out food, which was presented very plainly, on regular plates and took our time over dinner. As soon as the first person finished, the waitress took away his plate. I have worked in the restaurant industry, and know it's incredibly rude to the other diners to clear plates one person at a time; proper etiquette is to remove all plates when everyone has finished their bill. Not only did she take a plate away, she brought the bill. Then she came back, and said, "you didn't want anything else did you?" I replied, "Not NOW." I had intended to get a takeout order to bring home to my partner, but decided that I didn't want to give them any more of my money. I stopped for takeout at Asian Wok on the way home. We left a ten dollar tip and sat at the table, chatting and finishing our drinks, for another 20 minutes or so. A different waitress took the tip and signed credit card slip from the table, waited another 10-15 minutes, and finally said, very rudely, "did you want anything else?" I asked if they needed the table, and she said, "yes." There was no one waiting. There were still empty seats, including 4 2-tops all pushed together, and several seats at the bar. We would have left sooner, if someone wanted the table, but it wasn't busy enough to warrant the "hurry up and give us your money and get out" attitude. If the sushi was extraordinary, I might have given Wang's more than 1 star. Usually, the closer you get to Boston, the better the sushi is, but the food was merely okay - not as fresh as I anticipated. Fake crab, but I guess, no one does real crabmeat on sushi or in a California roll. The miso soup was a little bland. The presentation was pedestrian. I'm surprised and confused by all the "friendly service" remarks this establishment has gotten. I'm not sure what we did to deserve such rotten treatment. If you want good sushi north of Boston, combined with an impeccably clean dining room and welcoming hospitality, I highly recommend Shio in Portsmouth, NH.

Best Chines food in Haverhill! Love their food. Their spicy tuna roll and pan fried dumplings are to die for and my husband adores their orange chicken. Service is erratic. One friendly waitress and one chilly waitress - but the food is always good!

Came here with a group recently, the service was very friendly and all the food was very good. I tried my very first sushi ever here and it seemed good to me, enough that I would try it again. Restaurant is right across from parking and it was clean and cozy inside. I would recommend this place and will come again.

This is my favorite place in Haverhill to dine out AND for delivery. The dine-in service has always been very friendly. There is sometimes a language barrier and miscommunications, but it always turns out fine. The sushi chefs LOVE when you show proper sushi etiquette and order accordingly. One of them always tells me the off menu special cuts that have arrived recently because I've taken the time to get to know him. The sushi itself is fresh, and the cuts are very fine for the moderate price range. Their lunch menu has ridiculously great bargains, including 3 rolls for $10! I also enjoy their appetizers including gyoza, seaweed salad, and crab rangoons. The items on the chinese menu are much higher quality than a local chinese takeout, but they're not gourmet or anything. My favorite is the chicken curry (chinese style, not thai style). Now on to their delivery service. It is FAST! The hot and cold dishes are delivered appropriately separated. Everything arrives fresh just as if I had ordered it in the dining room. Overall for the price, location and service, this has become a local favorite for good reasons. Don't expect fancy presentation or gourmet meals, but do expect tasty rolls, great sashimi cuts, and craveable chinese munchies.

We love Wang's Table! Great food, super friendly service (they always remember us) and never a big crowd. Obviously not "gourmet" but for good family style Chinese food you can't beat Wang's!

Wang's Table provides consistently good food and service. Bonus: they deliver! I have to admit, the 12 year old in me giggles every time I ask someone "how do you feel about Wang's tonight?" but when we don't feel like cooking or going out to eat, Wang's Table is our number one choice for delivery. We've dined in the restaurant as well but more often than not, we get Wang's delivered to our door. Hee. We always order egg rolls and crab rangoon. The crab rangoon are ok but the egg rolls have yet to be greasy or stuffed with soggy veggies. They're always crisp, light and fresh tasting. My husband likes ordering sweet and sour chicken or shrimp; the breading is a bit too much for me but he loves it. I tend to order the General's chicken but have also ordered the orange beef. Wang's also serves sushi; whether you eat raw sushi or only cooked, everything we've ordered has been fresh. The worst thing about the sushi I can say is if you order a bunch for delivery, sometimes the chef is overly ambitious regarding how much to put in one container and you get smooshed rolls. They do separate hot rolls from cold, though. The weakest thing I've experienced from the menu is the egg drop soup. I should probably just stop ordering it; I always hope for a thin broth with a hint of salt and a big flavor and instead it's a thick sludge of yellow mediocrity. The other soups are great, though. Also fairly weak: the curry dishes. I've had better curry dishes from boxes on the international isle at the grocery store; you know the premade ones packaged like MRE. I suffered second hand embarrassment for Wang's when I ordered the Peking Duck; instead of it being delivered with "pancakes" like the menu says and you usually see it served, they brought TORTILLAS. Between that particular monstrosity and the god awful hoisin sauce that had the texture and flavor of rotten, fermented bbq sauce, I came damned close to docking Wang's a star. I won't though: I'll just suggest you avoid it and the curry.

Wangs Table has wonderful sushi! It's always fresh and the rice and seaweed are always perfect. I've found that the seaweed can be tough at other places when you get takeout, not here. Also, my husband doesn't LOVE sushi so it's the perfect place for us. He loves chinese food- so we are both happy! He loves the fried rice and beef teriyaki. The service is great too! I highly recommend. Just another example of all the great restaurants in Haverhill.

I went in a sushi virgin and thoroughly enjoyed Wang's! wait, that didn't sound right ;) The atmosphere was nice, not too crowded, attentive wait staff, and the sushi was delicious. I will definitely go back for more Wang's....hahaha couldn't resist!!

Really good food and drinks. Full bar and very nice sushi. Wouldn't have gone w/out Yelp.

Had the Amazing maki roll here this week.. It looked very pretty with the multiple colored tobiko topping, and it lived up to it's name...amazing. Surprising considering the restaurant is not amazing looking. The location is also a bit old and run down, but don't let it detract you. The sushi here is very good.

The sushi is pretty good when it's fresh, but the service is TERRIBLE. If there was a similar sushi place in town I would definitely switch.

They just re-opened at a new location on Washington Street, and I went for the first time this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. I never went to the old location, but i saw the pictures, and the new place is much more modern and upscale looking, its very nice, very clean. Not huge though. Looks like its in an old bank space as the vault door is still there. We got the dumplings, mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken. They were all really really good. I've lived in the Merrimack Valley area now for just over a year and this is by far the best place I've been too. Its not super pricey either. And the dishes come with rice (i'm finding more and more chinese restaurants are making you pay extra for a side of rice). The service was slow and looked a little hectic. I will chalk that up to the fact that this was their first weekend open at the new location (though i've noticed that a few other reviews ding them for service as well). I used to work in food service, and have known many people who worked longer than I did and continue to. Service is certainly important, but I think a few too many people out there who've never worked in the food service industry are a little too self important and expect every whim to be catered to and treated as if they are the only person in the restaurant. There are places that are like that, and I would expect it from a very high-end restaurant, where part of the price of the food is the incredible service. But if you can get me my food in a fairly timely manner, I'm wicked forgiving for little missteps or hiccups. They were nice enough to us, and everything came out as ordered and in an acceptable time.

I was craving Thai food and since there is no Thai food around here, I decided to try Wang's Table since I had heard good things. They do make Pad Thai which was good if you don't actually expect it to taste like pad thai ( very sweet with no peanuts). The other dishes we got tasted fresh and were tasty. My biggest complaint was the pineapple fried rice was nothing more than white rice with a can of diced pineapple and a few cashews thrown in...totally gross and not at all worth $8.

Surprisingly good. Yet their staff was a little lacidazical and the food took a while. But over all it was fresh and tasty.

This is as good as it gets for sushi in Haverhill. Wang's has both a Chinese and Japanese menu which is great for when you are with someone that isn't big on sushi. Their Chinese food is also some of the best in Haverhill, and I have never had a complaint about it. The service is friendly and fast and the prices are comparable to any other Chinese food restaurant. Give it a whirl! Also, Japanese whiskey!

Avocado Roll. Avocado Roll. Avocado Roll. That said, the fried rice here is top-notch. It tastes fresh and includes egg which I always love. My wife and I are vegetarians and they have a decent array of tofu options for us including the General Tso's tofu which is a bit light but very delicious. We've taken to ordering out from here at least once a week recently - we just can't stop.

Always a good place to eat! They are fast and the General Tso's Chicken is to die for. My boyfriend and I did get our own scorpion bowls, but I don't recommend it. We both at the same time felt jittery and like our stomachs were growing aliens, and this is before we even ate anything. Might be too much sugar in those scorpion bowls or my aging body can't handle them anymore.

Clean, good service, good drinks, good soup....... Not a fan of the sushi ...at all. The rolls had so much filler and many of the pieces tasted fishy. Just not good. I'd come back to try the food but I'm definitely avoiding the sushi.

I don't understand the bad reviews but I guess everybody had different experiences. We have always been treated nice and never rushed. The sushi is some of the best around the area. I think the drinks could use more alcohol, but I say that about everyplace I go to. We got sushi delivered on a Friday night and the delivery was super fast. We like to eat here at least once a month, sometimes more.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
