Angry Ham's Garage fast became my favorite restaurant in the Framingham area to eat and hang out. I've been here a number of times since the place opened and have never once been disappointed with the food or the service. The owners, management and wait staff are very friendly but not in an over the top manner. They certainly seem to take a lot of pride in what they are doing with the restaurant and it shows. I think every time I've eaten there one of the owners has come over and genuinely asked how everything is/was. The menu has a wide range of food from Asian to Pizza but don't let that lead you to think this chef is a jack of all trades and master of none. Every dish I've tried has been a home run. The only trouble I'm having is that I keep going back to my favorite items which are the Angry Hammer Sandwich and the Fish and Chips (the best I've had since coming back from England). My friends have tried many of the other dishes and have only had positive things to say. The executive chef clearly loves his job and it shows with the consistently fantastic quality of his food. The food on the menu is very reasonably priced. It's cheap but not cheaply made. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. I'll be back on Thursday.

Great atmosphere, food not so good, and the service sucked! It's a great open space with flat screen TV's all around, a good sound system and a good bar area. Our waitress Paige came right over, took our drink order and served them right away. But then after saying she'd give us a minute with the menu, she disappeared for 20 minutes. We finally ordered a burger that was asked to be cooked medium but was cooked to death and ruined and a steak bomb sandwich that was nothing but Steak-Ums on a bun. The food was delivered to the table and then Paige pulled her disappearing act again. We didn't see her for well over a half hour even though I wanted to complain about the burnt burger and order more drinks she was no where to be found. The parking lot is small and was packed with cars. We thought the place was going to be packed but there was only about 20 people in there so I couldn't figure out why the lot was so full. Would I go back? I don't know. I'd like to give it another shot but I'm not going out of my way to do it.

We heard through the grapevine that Angry Ham's Garage had opened and wanted to try it out for a quick bite to eat. We sat at the bar and had a lovely bartenderess wait on us. The menu was pretty standard for a pub-style bar, but I did notice that the prices were extremely reasonable. The menu even featured a 'tip of the hat' to the former business that was a Chinese restaurant with various appetizers and dishes with an Asian flair. Food was very tasty and my husband's burger was actually Medium Rare (a miracle!) and the Onion Rings were crispy and lightly battered. The salad I had was extremely generous and their Warm Dill Dressing was absolutely perfect. I had a decently-priced glass of Shiraz while hubby had a Sam Adams (lots on tap). They have pool tables in the back and the decor is bright and racy - there are flat screen televisions readily viewable and the atmosphere in general is comfortable and perfect for a nice, casual night out. IF you should try to get in a weekend night be advised that the parking is extremly limited and they offer valet parking. A girlfriend and I tried to get in on a late Friday evening (8 p.m.ish) and were a bit daunted by the full parking lot and did end up going elsewhere. As Mikey of Life Cereal used to say ' Try It, You'll Like It!"

Wow! Food was phenomenal! Butternut squash ravioli was so good I didn't ever want the meal to end! Imagine chef inspired creations from a fine dining establishment but in the atmosphere of a bike garage. I'll definitely be back! A must try!

Went there tonight at the suggestion of a friend. I saw the Bar Rescue show and that they changed the name back and I was not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the steak tips which were fantastic and a big portion. The mashed potatoes were good and the broccoli was as perfectly steamed crunchy as could be. They didn't have ice cream on the menu but the waitress was able to come up with a bowl of it for me. Service was great and the prices are fair. The only downsides I'd mark were the salad, which seemed like it had been in the fridge too long, and the edimame which was just the beans in a garlic butter. I was expecting it in pods as in a sushi place.

Food was not delivered in a timely manner. Drinks were not refilled upon request. Portion of order was forgotten causing entire party's meal to be delayed. Portion of meal served cold. Manager was requested 3 times and never arrived. When waitress realized one adult was disatisfied, she ignored her, speaking only to other adults at table. Will not return any time soon. It appears that Jon Taffer and Bar Rescue were unsuccessful. When waitress was asked to describe "Braised haddock" her description was of a pan fried item, insisting that frying in butter and oil was braised.

I live about three minutes away from Angry Ham's Garage and went there for the first time last week. This building has seen many restaurants come and go in the last several years. It was extremely noisy inside the restaurant. In order to be heard by the hostess, I had to speak very loudly. The hostess looked to be about seventeen or eighteen years old and seemed very uncomfortable and wasn't familiar with the menu. When I asked her which items were the most popular, she pointed to pretty much the whole menu. I took the menu from her and scanned it myself. It was interesting that there was chinese cuisine as well as Italian and standard American fare. I love pizza so I ordered a small (12" ) pizza with three veggies that I specifically asked for. It was $11.00. After I placed the order, I noticed a specials menu next to the regular one. It featured a 12" pizza with broccoli, mushrooms, spinach, carmelized onion, roasted red pepper, and mozzarella cheese for $10.00. When I asked if I could change my order, the hostess was able to do so, but I was charged an additonal $1.00 because I asked for red onions instead of carmelized onions. The manager told me that that was restaurant policy. As this was my first time at the restaurant, in my opinion he should have taken the extra $1.00 off the bill. This being said, the pizza was good - really good. It was actually the best pizza that I've had in a long time. It was brick oven fired and it was cooked perfectly. Not one drop of oil dripped from the crust as I wolfed it down. I would definately go back there again and do another take out order. I actually went back there last night and ordered another pizza to go. It was as good as the previous one!

We brought our kids here for a quick dinner. We couldn't agree on a place, and I thought of Angry Hams, so figured we'd give them a try. I must say we were almost scared off by the outward appearance of the place...looks big and gray and kinda scary. But I was glad we went in. The atmosphere was fun and friendly. There were adults enjoying themselves in the bar, and adults and families over on the restaurant side. The food was eclectic, inexpensive, and generally good. The salad dressings were homemade, and the very thin crust pizza was excellent. I enjoyed the (not too loud) background music of 60s, 70s and 80s rock and light rock. We will return to this non-chain, local hangout. I recommend it to adults looking to get out for a few drinks and appetizers and to families with kids for a casual meal. Certainly a fun place to catch a game too.

Went there the night before thanksgiving with some friends. The place was packed. Went back a few other times and it was much less crowded. i have tried their meatlovers and buffalo chicken pizza. meatlovers was pretty standard but the buffalo chicken was amazing. I think the beers could be cheaper but it is nice to have this place within walking distance from my house.

Decor is OK. Atmosphere is OK. Food is a little better than OK. But holy moly is the service terrible. Establishments have off nights...that's not the case here. We don't have kids to rush home to but I'm not looking to wait 20+ mins to order a drink and have to do a dance to get a server to come over. It's not the staff - they are nice - there's just not enough of them. It will ultimately be their demise I'm confident in that. And it's too bad since there's not a lot of local spots to grab a beer and watch a game. Also, they pump the sound in there so loud you can't hear yourself think.

Smells like vomit in here. Literally like someone just puked. I came in expecting to order food, but lost my appetite. Not that anyone is in any hurry to try and serve me anything. Asked a "bartender" a while ago for a drink. Don't know if she forgot or is more interested in chatting with the regulars. Sure seems that way. Just overheard someone say they've had better pizza at a hockey rink. Ha! I'm out of here. Never to return.

Awesome food & a virtual Hall of Fame of sports memorabilia! Can't wait to come back for a game or something. Jon Taffer removing the fratboy mentality & interior design was a great move. I'm curious if Framingham natives REALLY are offended by the Angry Ham's name. I'm from out of town, so was just wondering because that seemed to be a MAJOR issue with "City Hall" & the GREAT Jon Taffer in the Bar Rescue episode.

I wrote a positive review on this place back in 2012, but it appears things have gone downhill since then. Myself and a friend both ordered burgers, one medium and one well. Both were completely raw and uncooked. When I say raw, I mean the bun was covered in blood from the meat. We had to send them back and they were prepared correctly the second time around. Honestly, how do you screw up a burger? I forgot to mention..when we first walked in wanting to get a table, the guy (I'm assuming the owner) stared blankly at us for a few seconds. As we were waiting to be greeted, he says 'you pickin up?' We stated uh no we are in need of a table. Classy. So in a nutshell, poor customer service skills as well as shitty burgers. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I hands down only came here because of Bar Rescue. There is no longer anything special about this place since they undid Jon Taffer's magic but the decor is still nice and the kitchen flip stuck. The food is good. Pizza was great and the chicken noodle soup was fantastic. Beer selection is unimpressive. Trivia on Wednesdays is fun.

Awful!!! Went for lunch today with 4adults and 5 kids....ordered off the menu and each kid got a children's meal instead of a large pizza.we ordered an appetizer..it never showed.asked about it "oops, I never ordered it"..two kids ordered Mac and cheese...it was horrible..cold and the helping of a 1year old..can't believe they charge $7 for it....had to flag her down for everything. My son got pasta and asked for grated cheese..never saw it!!!..We asked for more drinks...never saw them...never came and checked on us once.Had to physically give credit card to waitress to leave..only time she came out to check was to get tip...don't even want to give 1star....also cost $150...never again

This place is awful. Unfortunately my friend and I decided to meet in Framingham as this is halfway point from both of our houses. We decided to get a quick bite to eat and some beers. We walked in to this place and everyone stared at us. We seated ourselves at a hightop in the corner by the bar. A scroungey looking waitress wearing ripped jeans and tank top handed us menus and asked for our drink orders. We both ordered a beer and she came back asking us if we wanted to place an order. We hadn't looked at the menu yet so we politely asked for a few more minutes which she cheerfully gave us. Until she repeatedly came over three more times within 10 minutes. We decided to start with the fried pickles. They were delivered by a bus boy as our waitress was busy smoking a cigarette right outside our window (gross). The fried pickles were not fully cooked, raw liquid batter inside the lightly crisped shell. We wanted ranch to dip them in but smokey sally was nowhere to be found so we immediately decided to have someone take them from our table. We then placed an order. I got the buffalo tenders with "extra hot" sauce. Which was a mild sauce anywhere else. These were just ok. No celery or carrots which is typical of a buffalo chicken. My friend got a wrap that was just okay as well. The problem was mostly with the service. During our time catching up we noticed two young attractive girls also walk in, this time they only made it about two feet within the door before the employees of this place (all wearing black STAFF tshirts) whom had all gathered at a table right by the front door stared at them and started yelling at them as they turned around "FREE DRINKS FOR HOT GIRLS, come back!" No wonder why they ran out. I wish we had as well. The table of staff then boisterously joked about it for the next 20 minutes. We sat at our tables with no water, no refill on our beers, as our waitress in clear site was over talking to her friends siting at the bar with them. There was a couple next to us whom also struck up conversation with us wondering how we could all get waters. Finally we got up and went up to the bar and asked her for some waters for everyone in our area. She then HANDED our waters across the bar. Four waters. We were now our own waitresses. We then decided to get out of there asap. My friend wanted a box for the other half of her wrap (she's a doctor and was going to work the overnight so had planned on bringing it) we waited for over 40 minutes until we asked a male "STAFF" to get us our bill. He was confused and walked away. 10 more minutes go by so we got up, walked to the bar, asked for our bill as smokey sally was again sitting down at the bar with friends. She handed the check over the counter to my friend and we paid (even tipped her 20% too) and my friend asked for a to go box. A guy behind the bar handed her the box. We packaged up her stuff. The couple to the right of us grabbed their stuff and went to stand by the bar to ask for their check too. This place was not busy. At all. My friend and I, and the couple next to us were the only people seated in the restaurant aside from the loud obnoxious group of "STAFF" waiting by the front door to make girls feel uncomfortable. This place is beyond terrible.

Remember when you went to college and draft coors lights were $1 and pitchers of beer were $4? Oh you went to a college in a more affluent area then I did...oh well then you missed out. OR DID YOU? Bar prices of the early 90's (or down south) are back folks . They actually have 12ounce $1 coors every day. "But coors lights are gross!" - you might say. Well get over it, its cheap beers and inexpensive food. The pizza is really good, Buffalo chicken is my favorite and they are pretty big. The wings and the potato nachos are also great. Everything is reasonably priced and if you order right for $20 bucks you can have a half cocked night out. The atmosphere is not super great but better than some places. Its right off rt9 and they have butt rock cover bands play on Friday nights and on Saturday. I tend to stay away on those days. But if your into that kinda stuff more power to ya. You get better service if you sit at the bar...like most bar orient restaurants. I like the pizza so much I get their takeout over delivery 60% of the time. It would be higher but , when your ordering pizza you are typically feeling lazy and or already had some drinks around the house and drivings not the best idea.

Angry Hams seems to be a very happening bar. It's perfectly serviceable if you can get parking. I haven driven away from there a few times because the lot is full. I have not tried the food there. I've only had beer. It's a fun place to watch a sports game. It is worth mentioning is that they do not serve Jack's Abby beer or have Miller Lite on tap. Considering Jack's Abby is 2 miles away, I hope they can work it out. It's definitely a townie hangout, but not a dive. It definitely does not stand out to me as Framingham has quite a few places that can compete on its level within a square mile. However as I stated, it is extremely popular. Give it a shot. Maybe you'll find the magic I missed.

Pretty bummed out - that the AH seems to have gone down hill. I loved it, the excitement, the door ID checker for the first year. I never understood why this place did bar rescue - it didn't make sense. The original set up was awesome. Been back numerous times, then went back for my last time last week. It's kind of sad, you really want a fun place to hang out, a place that is open to all and is welcoming. It was far from welcoming my last visit. Got passed over at the bar 3 times the bar staff cater to the regulars only. The blonde waitress never remembers us and she's had us 6 times. The drink orders were wrong 2 times and the food order was messed up. There is absolutely no accountability....just oooops I did it again. When a friend made a minor "complaint" to the manager quietly....well the manager must have told the waitress because we got the "cold shoulder" treatment for the rest of the night from the waitress and the manager guy. Almost like "how dare you complain". So bummed out, because the place was different, had a neat theme, it was fun place to take new friends out to eat, in the suburb area. Well...we're going to try OConnells Pub as our group hang out place, does not feel as "clicky". Lets hope ! Sad to go. Needs a new manager.

Russ from The Verve, Crowne Plaza Natick sent us here. I trust Russ and he was raving about this place so we made a visit on our last night before heading back to San Francisco. Laura was our server and she was super attentive and the nicest. She recommended their spinach with my Spicy Grilled Chicken Bomb. Sooooo good. I got the gluten free bun which was perfect for me, as the overall size is a bit smaller. The chicken sandwich was spicy, though I did add Tabasco to make it extra hot. It didn't come as a patty but in strips rather. I liked that the strips were grilled and not fried. This place is pretty cool with fun decor, pool tables, arcade games and tons of seating. We came to watch the first football game of this year's season and we were super happy to see multiple TV screens on every wall playing something for everyone. For a smaller town, this place was packed for a Thursday night. Russ says that Jamie, the bartender, is amazing so if you're at the bar.. look for her. Wish we had more places like this in my SF neighborhood! Def coming back on my next business trip to Natick/ Framingham.

My husband had been dying to visit as he is an avid Bar Rescue fan and we had been in the area two other times without being able to stop. I am not a big bar food person, but the food was delicious. He had the mac and cheese and I had the spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe wedges. Nothing greasy at all. The waitress was friendly and we had a great experience.

    1. Its a Pub. I don't enjoy pubs unless the food is off the hook. This one is not. 2. Food is TERRIBLE. Really. 3. Drinks are TERRIBLE, really (unless you are a college student or love beer). 4. Servers are bad - Really. I asked the poor thing what the "bubbly/champagne" they said they have was, and she said (NO KIDDING, ask the other yelpers that were with me!) "Its a Prosecco, from France. It comes in little bottles". I said: ..."OK... which one? Brand", she said: "FROM FRANCE THE ONE IN LITTLE BOTTLES". I drank water... (Im not going to give her name to protect the hard working, and clueless young lady) BUT the band was promising and we were dancing and the ambiance was noisy as all get out but we had a great time. I will stick with water and steamed pot stickers which believe it or not were quite edible, and enjoy the dancing and the friends. Management all around looks like someone kicked their cat - just not a good vibe - but the music was promising and we were dancing and its the holidays and THAT is what matters. (and the bruins won...)

We tried this place a long time ago and it was just ok. About 3 months ago we tried again and we are hooked. We come here weekly now. Last week we had take-out pizza from here Friday night and had dinner here Saturday night. By the way the pizza is enormous and excellent!!! And here we are again tonight. The food is great, the service is good, the staff is nice and the atmosphere is fun and upbeat. Full bar. Pool tables. Fun garage/car theme. Love it!

This place is one of my favorites. Timmy is a cool guy and a cool owner. This restaurant was featured on that show "bar rescue" and has picked up a lot of Business since. The pizza is amazing. The rest of the food is okay too. I love the fact though that you can get almost any kind of food here. Chinese, pasta, pizza to burgers. The only issues I've ever had with the place is it can get way too loud whenever there is a band or DJ. I like it but not when you can't hear the person next to you. If you want to watch the a Bruins play, THIS IS THE PLACE.

The food is great but the service we experienced was terrible. The woman who served was not attentive at all. She forgot 2 out of 4 of our meals and was going to walk away after taking only 2 orders. We were extremely dissatisfied with her and when we left without leaving a tip, she chased us out of the establishment and verbally assaulted us. When we called shortly there after, she picked up and told us she was a manager and the owner and refused to get someone else. Then when we called back I demanded the owner knowing it was not her. We told him what had happened and all he could do was apologize in a less than convincing manner and nothing else had been done. This is not the place to be on a Saturday afternoon when only 10 percent of the establishment was occupied, if that. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is totally a townie bar! Foods mediocre. Music was loud and makes it difficult to have a conversation with the person beside you. We did not feel like we were wanted there..will not be returning!

This is a solid food n drink place. It's well laid out (spaciously), definitely good for watching a game or just having drinks and dinner too. The high top tables actually have chairs (super comfortable ones too) with backs on them, which is my biggest gripe normally since my posture is AWFUL without some kind of back support sitting at a high top, extra points for that. Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is good too. There's something for everyone on the menu, though I don't know how much I'd want to try General Gau's Chicken from a place with a garage attached to it. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and didn't mind us just starting with drinks for a while before we ordered food. I'd have to say I'll be back.

Go to McDonald's! Truth be told; they did not mess up on the beer - then again, how hard is it to mess up beer... Two of us ordered burgers - asked for medium - both were raw. Sticky, crumbly, red/white RAW. Before we even said a word to the server, she saw the open putty and just nodded and took them away... then we craved McDonald's...which compared to Angry Ham's Garage... its gourmet cuisine!

We had lunch here today and sat next to a young, attractive hearing impaired couple who were signing to each other during their meal. I was jealous of them because they could continue to converse while chewing where if I did that my lunch companions would have to observe a big wad of chewed cheeburg in my mouth. I wonder if they wipe their hands before they sign to avoid flicking burger grease and ketchup on each other? I had a burger with cheddar, pig candy and a fried chicken embryo. It was one damn good burger. I asked for medium, and it was medium. There was a LOT of bacon; not just a slice or two, and it was the good stuff... probably came from pigs who drink microbrews and listen to Booker T. and the MG's. And a fried eggs on burgers should be a right granted in the Geneva Conventions. My cohorts had the Angry Ham Sandwich and a Steakbomb, and they had no complaints, except for the price. And that is where you have failed us, O thee of the intentionally-offensive-yet-used-with-honor-ly named Angry ham's... Paying piecemeal for the flotsam I have on a burger is lame. Lame lame lame lame lame lame lame. You bait me in with the promise of a $10 burger, then BAM! cheeses are a half a buck and meats are a whole buck more. I just ate a $12.50 burger, and that is un-American. Delicious, but un-American. Y'know Pepperoncini's, right down the road, has a loaded-out half-pounder for $9.25? Jus sayin'... If it weren't for the burger pricing Ponzi scheme, this would've been a 4-star review. But these stars have been entrusted to me by the power of my keyboard and the internet, therefore I must withhold one of them.

We were told that behind the bad name and facade, this was a place that actually served up good food. So, since we really don't care for the corporate family restaurants like Ruby's and TGIF's, we tried Angry Ham's after a Sunday matinee at the nearby multiplex theater. Big mistake. My 13 yr old son ordered the sliders off the appetizer menu for a main course, as he finds burgers at these places all too big to manage. My wife ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad, and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The sliders were all overcooked, my son was unable to eat them. The chicken on the salad was dry and rubbery; my wife was certain it was microwaved. And the pulled pork? I would have been better off going to Stop & Shop and buying a tub of Lloyd's. It was dry and lacked any character. I also wondered how fresh it was, that maybe it, too, was made weeks ago and frozen and then microwaved. On top of all that, the service was deplorable. We waited forever for our order and then waited another lifetime to get our check. It seemed like our server disappeared for a long while and when we summoned another server, they acted pretty put out having to service someone else's table. So I guess this is just another watering hole. Another place for locals to get trashed and put our lives in jeopardy as they head out onto Rt. 9 West.

If it wasn't for Bar Rescue you would not be around. Got to Angry Hams tonight around 9 PM. I go there every Friday because i see my friends there and i like to grab food after work. The service is nice but once you get to the bar its dirty. It was after midnight. I asked for a Patron on ice. They refused to serve me because they thought i was going to "Down it" in there specific language. Also I got treated like absolute shit at the bar except for when i was playing keno with the manager. At least these 2 at the front know how to speak to customers. I had the most horrific night i have ever had at single bar in my entire life. The only people that inspired was the DJ. Congrats. I will never go back to this establishment in my entire life and I will also refer my friends not to go there. If there are any problems with this post contact me. This is not getting deleted. Farewell. - Dana Turieo

Perfect greasy spoon! for those reviewers that went to the Angry Ham looking for a healthy choice, just grow up and eat some cheese, we went there with friends and had a good time, the nachos were cheesy, gooey and spicy, I had a Angry Burger and it was cooked perfectly with very large onion rings, will go back again, don't get me wrong it wasn't the best food I've ever had but it hit the spot on a cold friday night...

This place is OK. I've met friends and co workers and family here on numerous occasions. It's slowly turning into a local townie hot spot but they still have a lot of work to do. If you're a regular like I am naturally the owners and management will give you shout outs but that's pretty much it. Drinks are a bit expensive.. $9.50 for a Jack and Ginger seems kind of steep. Sometimes you can get cheap beer like $1 Coors draft. The pizza is amazing and I would get it there again and again. Buffalo chicken is really good and spicy. It's tough to get a drink when there's music going on because they don't have any floating waitstaff. You have to go to the bar every time and weed through the crowd. I enjoy being able to walk down the street and see a band and grab a beer every now and then but its not the kind of place I would bring mom and dad. Décore is a bizarre collaboration of biker bar and sports pub. The seats are some of the nicest I've sat at. They must be custom or something because its just not regular bar stools they are tall back seats that you can lean back into and are cushiony. I've never seen bar seats like that before. Over-all its an average townie wanna be place with a good mixed crowd. A combination of your younger TJX type corporate sports fans, college noobs and regular townies that can get a bit weird if you give them enough pops. Most of the night weekend crowds tend to be band groupies, family members, and college dudes with a few fems scattered about.

I really wanted to like this place. Not. Happening. Angry Ham's Garage just...tries too hard. The decor is beyond trite. The corny menu item names are annoying. (The Angry Hammer? And what the hell are Angry Goons? WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?) The prices are unreasonable. The food is lousy. We ordered the Angry Angus Hamburger and a Pulled Pork Bomb. Two triple bypasses, stat...both were unbelievably greasy. I had to use a napkin to hold the sandwich to prevent the grease from running down my hands and took a shower when I got home. *shudder* Burgers are greasy, I get it, though most people have the ability to contain the grease inside the bun-- this was like a grease tsunami, destroying everything in its path (namely my bun, fries, plate and sleeves). The pulled pork sandwich was just as bad, I think maybe it was hit too. Someone call FEMA. (Also, for the record, there was nothing bomb-y about the pulled pork sandwich, it was on toasted wonder bread, not a sub roll). Needless to say, we won't be eating here again, which is a shame because it is in a very convenient location for us.

Greasy, but not the worst of it. I don't mind greasy food once in awhile. However, the snotty bartenders were horrible. They took care of their friends first and foremost. I felt like I was bothering them when I kept asking for a drink. When I asked for the bartender's name, she asked, "Why?". The 2 other women i was with insisted on just leaving after just getting water. I happily obliged. Never again.

This bar has a catchy name great look and perky staff. the food is mediocre bar food at best and despite the decor is not a great place for kids. if you're looking for a place to hang after work knock back a few beers this is it.

Pretty cool dive bar. Love the Corvette coming out of the wall! Buffalo wing pizza is greasy, but tasty. Bar food is good, beer selection is eh. Good place to watch the game...if there is only one that you want to see. You won't see anything not showed on the local stations.

a perfect casual spot for a beer, and good bar food with some additional surprises on the menu. I've been here more than 30 times, and every time the beer specials are excellent. I've tried a lot of food on the menu, the wings and pizza are good, the burgers are EXCELLENT. believe it or not they really are. The service is usually just fine, nothing wildly impressive but it gets the job done and they aren't overly attentive and annoying. They have plenty of televisions to watch all the sporting events, even a giant projector. On thursdays fridays and saturdays they have live music most of the time which is awesome, usually a good band. All in all this is my favorite watering hole for a reason, and i've been around. Definitely one of the best local spots to watch sports as well.

The name is offensive and they should change it back to the name on the TV show that recommended it. The food was so-so. I've had MUCH better for the price.

The first thing I want to say is that this place is VERY SPACIOUS and comfortable. The decor (think Chili's with a biker theme) might not appeal to all, but there's no denying that the large booths, and leather swivel chairs give you plenty of room to lounge. The only down-side is that with the wide open space, the A/C can have trouble keeping up during hot days (which resulted in one tough dinner during the may 2012 heat-wave). With wide-screen big buck hunter, dart boards galore, giant bar... this def would be a great place to hang out with friends (I presume. haven't brought anyone yet). My gf said that the salad was mediocre, but the grill is def where this place shines. The burgers are super tasty (albeit, greasy), and the steak n' cheese was really good... and massive. Bar food, simple as that. I've yet to try the drinks. The servers tend to be local floozies. They mean well, and have been super friendly... just make sure they read the order back to you. Overall, my impression of this place has been pretty positive. it's got kind of a dave and buster's appeal to it, only it's infinitely more comfortable.

Not great for a huge group. I went there last night for a friend's surprise birthday party. It was scheduled from 6-1a with my friend arriving 6 30 to be surprised. I arrived with a friend around 7 30p due to babysitter so I was expecting everyone to already have their foods drinks, and etc. When I walked it there was already some.grumblings among the group and it seemed they weren't serviced for a while. The waitress was finally taking their orders so my guts told me to sit at different table to have my own check. When the waitress came around she told us we had to be on same check with the two long tables. I was taken back. I had to tell her no because I just got here and probably wouldn't stay long. Don't want to be stuck with any confusion. Finally she accepted a different check. Not enough wait staff in restaurant and only one bartender filling out drinks so things were moving slow. Foods was good. Afterwards the group went in pool room they reserved to celebrate playing pool, have cake, and just hang out around 8 30p. There were some people playing pool and in middle of game the rude employees of 2 guys just interrupted their game placing pool covers on the two tables. So rude. The people playing of course became upset and trying to find out what's going on. The employees were bunch of assholes and end up kicking one guy out. Also some people in the group asked if closed captioning can be turn on the tv in pool room but the employee wouldn't accompany them. There were other things happening that I didn't see but heard about. Rude treatment overall and slow service. Around 8 45 the group was fed up with the rude treatment and end up going to British Beer Company to party the night away. That's too bad because this group of about 50 people likes to drink and could had make them lots of money for the night. Their loss and BBC's gain. This restaurant is an ok place if you are in a small group but big group bad idea.

My mistake was getting the buffalo wings. Sorry, Angry Ham, I am not impressed. I don't know if it was a case of mistaken wing identity... I definitely ordered the hot wings, and they definitely arrived smokin' hot, but there was not a hint of spice to be found. Also, they ended up being pretty greasy. Maybe it was the sauce. I don't know. I wouldn't order them again. I'll take the leftovers home and douse them with Frank's Red Hot Sauce to try to save my $6 worth of wings. According to my dining companions, the chicken parm sandwich was inedible, though. If you mess up chicken parm and buffalo wings... I just don't know about you. The things that I really liked.... the atmosphere was pretty cool. Granted, I didn't know it was a restaurant from the exterior, but it was nice inside. The staff was SO helpful! My group was trying to organize a holiday party there and the gentleman who was assisting us was awesome. He even gave us samples of the steak tips. Those steak tips? Absofreakinlutely delicious. I thought about starting a bar brawl with my fellow diners for the last one. I didn't, but I thought about it. Don't get between me and my food.

I'll start this by saying that while the food was good- far better than expected, even- I will not be coming back here. I went here for lunch with some coworkers. The place was fairly empty, and the service was good, as was the food. Most of us had their cheeseburgers. A bit rarer than asked for, but still quite tasty. One member of our party, being perhaps health-conscious of late, ordered one of their salads for lunch. While we were eating, someone from the back- I was lead to believe it was one of the owners- asked us how everything was. Upon seeing the salad, he began to mock my (male) coworker, saying he should have sent that out with a "side of bra and panties." Not cool, guy. Not cool. So yeah, not interested in patronizing this establishment further.

This faux biker bar in Framingham has both the best pizza and best clam chowder I've had in Boston. I pulled in one afternoon because I was running late and it was on the way to points further west. The decor is completely unappealing, as the place is festooned with motorcycles, motorcycle and car parts, and the kind of fake memorabilia that restaurants probably buy as a package, i.e., numerous pics of Larry Bird at a celebrity golf tournament. I ordered the "bacon and mushroom" pizza (from the back of a menu that mostly featured BBQ and fried stuff) because I figured they couldn't screw it up, and the chowder because I was too hungry to wait for the pizza. The homemade chowder was absolutely first rate and packed with fresh clams. The pizza was wood-fired -- which they didn't even note on the menu. The mushrooms on the pizza were sliced portobellos, the mozzarella was fresh (tasted homemade), and the crust was perfect a la Sallie's or Pepe's in New Haven -- my standard for great pizza. Given the quality of the food, their market pitch is completely wrong, as they ought to be advertising "gourmet, wood-fired pizza." However, based on the other positive reviews here I'll go back and try some of their other offerings. BTW, the staff is very friendly. Also, I was there in the middle of the day, but could see how they'd have parking problems on a busy night.

Great place. We love coming here, for a variety of reasons. Angry Ham's is a place you can go with your kids, or your friends, and never feel out of place. Early on it has a family friendly feel with lots of open space and video games to keep the kids busy when they get antsy. Later, sit at the bar with a game, some beers, and your friends and you'll have a great time. The food is bar food and delicious, and they have a great variety of choices. The pizza is excellent! A great variety at the bar, too. You can't beat it!

Pizza is excellent. Some I've the best I've had. Ever. Better off getting it as take out though. Everyone stares at you when you walk in. Not a welcoming atmosphere. The owner went around and only welcomed his friends, ignoring everyone else. When we walked out, the owner was right outside, talking to a buddy. Didn't even acknowledge that we had just ate at his restaurant. Most good buisnessmen would say "thank you for coming. Hope to see you soon" or something like that. Waitress was nice, but the service was so incredibly slow. The place was almost empty and it took us an hour and 45 minutes to get out of there. Food took a half hour to get to the table. Food is good. Atmosphere is weird. Tries to hard to be cool.

Saw this place on Bar Rescue, and I have been driving by this place for a long time. We decided to give it a try. Its a bar/pub and their emphasis is on booze I guess. The food other than the wings and pizza is horrific and very below average. I tried the burger, which on the bar rescue show was highlighted as being a profit loss due to unlimited toppings. Well, they changed that immediately. What you get for $10 is a frozen burger patty that has bits of hard things in them. Burgers are so obviously frozen. They lack taste or anything unique. Its a $6 burger tops. Want cheese? Extra $$. Want bacon or any meat? $1 extra. I get it, but when you charge $10+ extras for the base burger, it better be good. It better be home made and seasoned or remarkable. It wasnt. The fries are nothing special at all. They were cold and undercooked. Wife had a salad, and the lettuce had the obvious bagged lettuce preservative taste. It just didnt taste fresh at all. There's no pizza on the kids menu, so my son had a 12" pizza for $10. It was pretty decent, crust was too crispy for his liking but I thought it was pretty good. Fountain sodas at $2.50 were too expensive and not worth it. Boneless wings were crunchy and ok but there wasn't enough sauce on them. The service took a long time and the server was not friendly at all. When she screwed up my order, there was no apology, she just took it back and corrected it. That's fine, I dont need to be romanced but at least be friendly. She didnt crack a smile at all the entire time. Food took way too long to get. Also one of the cooks came out to get a fountain drink and he was completely filthy. It was kind of gross to see him. I wonder if the guy showered, cleaned his clothes or washed his hands after going to the bathroom based on his appearance. Dont come here if you want half way decent service or food. If all you want is to play pool, have wings with a few friends and some beer, its fine and maybe I'll go back with just the guys some time if there is no other place to go. I will never go here with my wife or family again due to the place not caring about food and 3/4 of their menu comes from a box or freezer.

This place is what I've been waiting for in this neighborhood. First off, they have really affordable drinks, and the food is excellent. When you first walk in it just looks like a sports bar where you would expect typical bar food, but it's not that at all. The pizza there is better then any I've had, possibly ever, and while strange their Asian food menu, while limited, is a step above the rest in the area. The crust on their (coal fired?) pizzas is more like you would get in the best pizza places in NY. The Buffalo Chicken pizza for instance is tempura fried with some really competitive buffalo sauce, not frozen tenders like most. The owner and the head chef make the rounds regularly and are really grateful for the people there which is rare. The place truly is a gem and shouldn't be overlooked for the vibe it puts off. The place has a legit and well rounded menu that shouldn't be overlooked. Service has always been exceptional and the whole atmosphere is just great if you're looking to go out and have fun. I stopped in here once on a whim and now I go once a week, can't say that for any where else in the area.

Okay, folks - if you're looking for a "Man vs. Food" pig out experience, there's only one place on the menu to go: make your own burger/two dogs. I asked the server "what are the rules for the make your own burger?" She responded "there are no rules." It was time to get down to business. I ordered up medium rare - mushrooms, applewood bacon, cherry peppers, pulled pork, and chili. Got the tomato out of the way, but hang on to the lettuce - make me feel better about what I'm about to eat. Solid eats folks. For $8 on the burger for a meal of toppings, nevermind the burger - it's the best deal going. Their pizza is also quite solid. It's a bit of an odd atmosphere. Head a mile up Rt. 126 to Pepperoncini's and you have an adult pizza place and pub, and this place rivals Pep's for the goods on pizza. But the crowd is markedly younger - lots of families. It's location closer to the mall probably brings this in. Worth a visit.

Huge disappointment, i mean the setting is nice and the waitresses are smokin hot but the food was ok at best and at nine they go from family restaurant to wannabe nightclub. the place is just meh at best and youa re on rte 9, there's way better places to go and i recommend going there.

I will be honest. When I saw that a new restaurant had moved into 2 Beacon Street I thought the following: 1) That location is cursed, they won't make it, and 2) what is with the cheesy biker theme? So, I have avoided Angry Ham's simply due to my own stubborn and judgmental nature. Last night, however, my husband suggested we try it out. So we ordered a veggie, pepperoni, and bacon pizza and a couple salads. I had very low expectations due to the fact that MA is not known for its pizza. However, the pizza kicked ass. I think my eyes must have bugged out of my head when I tried a slice. It was really, really, really fricking good. By far the best I have had in the area. New York style thin crust (the huge slices you fold over to eat). Good quality veggies and meats. Even the salads were pretty good. So go to Angry Ham's, maybe 2 Beacon Street isn't cursed after all.

Excellent Pizza and sweet potato wedges. Bar staff was horrible though, attended to the regulars and left me and my 3 friends at the bar without drinks or menus. The bartender Amanda didn't even make eye contact with us. I asked for a menu and she said sure, but never came back. It took forever to get someone to take our order but on the other side of the bar people were being serviced quickly with drinks and food. Maybe the waitstaff is nicer and more efficient. I'll go back for food but I'm never sitting at the bar again.

Total ManTown! Because I live in a bubble, I was unaware that this establishment was owned and operated by none other than WAAF's (add echo) LB!! Well the atmosphere was a intensely dudish, in a good way. I went for lunch and ordered the surf and turf sandwich... a large perfectly cooked burger topped with a flavorful crab cake and a red pepper relish (though they called it a Remoulade). Since it was lunch I did a large soda, but an extensive bar menu was available. This stacked sammie was served with hand cut sweet potato fried, inconsistently cooked, and a deep fried pickle. I will return for the very wallet friendly lunches. And would definitely recommend this place for a guys night out! or for some hot single gals too!!

We ate at AHG after seeing the phantom Gourmet show where they spoke about the place. I had the Spagetti and Meatballs, which were pretty good and my wife had the pumpkin ravioli. Overall, the food was good. However, the Ravioli was a bit bland. It needed more than just a plain cream sauce. We also ordered the Buffalo wings as a starter. They were very good, but not enough spice at all. I would go back and try some of the other food. The prices of the food is very reasonable. The atmosphere can only be described as weird. It does not work for a restaurant, but is fine for a bar. The place is Okay, but for the cheap prices, you probably won't find a better bang for your buck. They have many different types of food (i.e. asian, italian, american). It would be better it they just kept to one type and concentrated on it.

This place is pretty good. My husband loved the angry hammer sandwich, I think the fried egg put him over the top. So yummy! I get the sense that this will be a great place to bring your motorcycle in the summer. Just seems like that kindof spot. We have eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. We came back last weekend and played pool in the back room and had a blast. This is a place I know we will be frequenting.

My husband and I took our nine year-old son yesterday on a whim. We weren't sure what to expect, as my previous hesitation had been whether it was more of a bar-like atmosphere or family friendly. Well, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was definitely a family oriented eatery. We went around 4:30 in the afternoon, and found the service to be friendly and attentive, the food delicious (squash ravioli, chicken parmesan, and beef teriyaki and delicious onion rings), and the prices affordable. We will definitely be going back.

Ok, first off I have been wanting to go to this place after watching it transformed on my favorite TV show "Bar Rescue" First things first, Iin the television show they commented how an "Angry Ham" is a derogatory term for a person from Framingham. The host of the television show showed countless examples of how branding themselves this way was actually tarnishing the image. The host suggested a new name/brand Octane which seemed to fit the theme a little better. It was crowded and the parking lot was small and difficult to find a space. Ok so I tried to remain open and got a table and noticed the decor. I am not a huge "biker theme" person but it was fun enough, good music, clean, etc. A Harley Davidson version of Chile's or Ruby Tuesdays. On to the food, it was actually much better than I expected. I had the clam chowder and a burger and a couple of bites of my friend's salad. The food was delicious. As some of the other yelpers have noted, the bathrooms don't seem to match the rest of the place and it seems that they are still trying to "find themselves" I enjoyed the food, but something still seemed a bit off.

When trapped in the Metrowest and in need of someplace unique this is the place. Surrounded by chain restaurants all over it is a breath of fresh air. The TV's are large and sound system is good making it a good place to watch a game in area. The food is decent but menu can use a revise. I do like the burgers and fried pickle that comes with. I like the bar area myself and find it very easy to get a beverage whenever needed. Good beer selection especially to have Wachusett IPA on tap. Try the pizza it is always a good choice, get a cold beer and enjoy.

Since when do you have to chase down your own take out food? The wife and i recently got a Hawaiian pizza and teriyaki wings to go. I arrived to pick up the food twenty minutes after ordering, waited at the front register for a few minutes, finally got the attention of an employee, gave him the name of the order and he tells me that my order is over by the bar.? He walked to the opposite side of the restaurant to grab the ticket that was sitting on top of my order, to ring me up at the front of the restaurant! He gives me my receipt and says thanks. I asked where my order was and he pointed in the direction of the bar and walked away.?! I had to fight my way through the group of people hanging around the bar to the opposite side of the restaurant to get my cold pizza and wings. Then fight my way back through the crowd with a24"x24" box of pizza. what an inconvenience for me and the other patrons! Neither my wife or I were impressed with the food. I definitely was not impressed with the service. This was not the first time we were unhappy with their service, but i will spare the story. That was angry hams (octanes) last chance too keep me as a customer.

Horrible experience!! My friends and I went there to celebrate me and my fiance's birthdays. I was told there was a really fun band playing that night. When we walked in there were these LONG tables set up so it was almost pointless to have a band if there was no where to even dance! We were pushed to the side and the waitress in the bar area was super rude. When a booth opened up we were sat (only fit half our group) and the other half of us were standing at the front when we were asked rudely to move away from the front we couldn't stand there. The staff was rude, the set up made no sense for a band and we will never go back there. We went to O'Conell's also in Framingham and had a WONDERFUL celebration over there.

My husband and I have been to Angry Ham's a few times. Its fine if you just want to have a drink or watch a game, service is below average, but at least their drinks are okay. Tonight we decided to go there for a quick bite to eat. Upon entering we were greeted by.... nobody. We walked in and two guys that work there were standing by the front keno/hostess stand. I looked right at them, they looked at me and just kept talking amongst themselves. So instead I (the customer) said hello, asked them how they were doing, and if we could please get a table. I felt as if I was an inconvenience. Then our food came out. The caesar dressing on the salad tasted so incredibly spoiled. I told our waitress, and she took it away. She was a sweetheart, she was new. Nobody came over to apologize or try and offer me something else. I thought about complaining, but instead we paid for it and just decided we would never return to ANGRY Ham's. :-(

I went there recently with a friend of mine that had been there before a few times. He said that when he first went in, they had the best fries in the world. But the last time that he was there, they were terrible. When you walk in, the place is big, and it was also chilly. I have seen in other reviews of other places, that some places try to be everything to everyone, or have an identity issue. I had never really experienced that before, until I came here. Is it a sports bar, a family restaurant or, what is it? It is a large empty place, that is rather loud. Little to no sound deadening. I ordered the pot stickers for an app, and my friend ordered some fries. He said his fries were better than the last time he went there, but not nearly as good as the first time. My pot stickers were decent. The sauce they served with it was so salty, it was like liquid anchovies. But if used very sparingly, it was good. I tried a pot sticker w/o it, and it was pretty bland. I ordered the fettucini carbonara, and it was just okay. It did have a funny taste to it though. I narrowed it down to the pancetta. It almost tasted like it was old or something. I can't put my finger on it. My friend ordered the ny strip steak. he used the terms "sh1tty", "all gristle", "this sucks" and the like to describe it. He also said that he would never go there again. The service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and had a good sense of humor. She definitely was the best part of the meal. The two things that made me not as happy as I could have been, was that the motorcycle on display has a Chinese engine in it, and my favorite "Freedom moocher" L.B., wasn't there. I don't know if I would recommend trying it. I will give it another shot. But, I give places a second chance. I know that everyone has a bad night.

Loud, crowded and feels like a frat house. The food is very good but the atmosphere drowns it out. Instead of a neighborhood hang out, it feels like a biker bar where others aren't welcome. Let me start by mentioning that i do know the owner. Not a close personal friend but an aquaintance rather. I waited to write my review until they had worked out the usual kinks involved with opening a restaurant. From what i hear they are on cook number 3. Good for them for being proactive in there search for a quality chef. the menu has changed several times and only for the better from what ive heard. Surprisingly, the pizza was quite delicious. Very fresh toppings. The nachos were also very good. Kudos for using sliced cherry peppers instead of the usual jalapenos. Inexpensive and great service. Keep up the good work Dean and L.B.

I live right nearby and was pleased to see a sports bar open in the vicinity other than the awful O'Connell's. Nice place -- plenty of room inside, well-lit atmosphere, lots of cool sports memorabilia and -- best of all -- no hipsters to be seen. Mostly locals in their 30s, 40s and 50s which is how I like it. TVs everywhere and good food for the price (good chili and great wings and rings). Only criticisms -- parking can be tough the night of a big game (I got there near the end of the 1st quarter of Pats-Jets and had to park across Beacon in the Bank of America lot, which I don' t even know if it's legal, though nobody got ticketed. And when I got inside, the place was only half full). Also -- TVs in the dining room are very high up and tough to see from inside a booth without getting neckstrain. And while there's a whole bunch of taps, not a lot that's too interesting. Other than a couple of Wachusett and Sam Adams offerings, it's pretty much every variety of Bud, Miller, Coors -- no true craft brews or interesting imports. There's BBC for that, but it's not as good for watching a game. But overall, I had a great time both times I went and I can see meeting up for games there very regularly and I hope it sticks around.

Ate At AHG for lunch today with some friends -- we were treated like royalty by Dennis and our waiter. The food was very good for the most part, except the chicken soup (too salty) and the sweet potato wedges (bland). I would recommend the Steak Bomb sub, the Spinach Pizza, Fish & Chips and the Meatball Sub. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu! The beer drinkers at my table were very happy with the draft selections.

Not a bad place for some pub grub. The bar seems to have attracted a local neighborhood crowd who were enjoying themselves on a Thursday evening. This is definately NASCAR decor with big tires, etc for decorations. Service was prompt and friendly. French fries were very potatoe-y (excellent). My wife declared her pasta dish to be superb. Dtr. #1 asked for an item not on the menu and it was happily delivered and well made (grilled cheese sandwich).
