Ownership changed this year and service went way down. I've been a couple of times and it's now never busy at all which is a big clue since it used to always be bust, at least on weekends, but had good thru-put. Today (Sunday) with the place less than half full, we waited 45 minutes for our food. One waitress told us it was because they now had only 1 cook. 1 cook in a place this size? No wonder they can't keep up! Another waitress said it was because it was busy. Not likely as I said it was less than 1/2 full and actually most of the people came after us Anyway, the reason I didn't give it 1 star was when the food came, it was prepared very well, came out pipping hot and was very good. I only hope that the new owners quit cheaping out on staff (our waitress was a very unhappy person and very inattentive; we have to get our own coffee almost every time) and get this place back to where it was popular and efficient. But I doubt it seeing that they haven't already noticed a big drop in clientele.

Love the chocolate chip pancakes! YUM! They give you so much food which is perfect for a late breakfast on the weekend. Love this place.

I cruised into town this past weekend with my daughter, feeling particularly famished. For whatever reason, we've had a really tough time finding a good breakfast place in the region. We were looking for the Ugly Omelette, but it was closed as they're moving locations. One of the locals directed us here. MR C's looks very unassuming from the outside, but once you're through the door things look great. They have a decent sized place packed with tables and a counter that would be happy in any diner. The Service was fast and friendly, and the coffee was hot and fresh. Good start! My daughter was in the mood for Shepherd's Pie. I went with a more traditional eggs, bacon, pancakes setup. Everything arrived a short interval later. Boom; it was all great. My eggs (scrambled) were well cooked, the pancakes were done, and Faith's pie was very well made in an oven dish. We both agreed that the highlight of the meal was the bacon. They were flat, perfectly cooked, and very savory. The check was very reasonable, although they binged us $2 a pop each for juice, coffee, and her hot chocolate. This creeped the check north of $20, but if you got just coffee and breakfast, everything is all good. This was a very solid experience and I am declaring this the best place I've eaten breakfast at since moving to the region a few months ago.

Saturday morning errands then decided to try here for breakfast. Service was very prompt. Food was not greasy and perfectly cooked. Well satisfied. Definitely will return.

This was not a great first for us. We did not order anything fancy. My bf ordered a western omelet sandwich and a grilled chic salad to take for lunch. I ordered 2 eggs o/e with home fries and toast. We also ordered 2 lg oj's. I received my meal in a timely manner; however, the waitress had to come back 2 x to ask what my bf ordered. Then, she thought he ordered a grilled chic sandwich to go instead of a grilled chic salad. Our oj's never arrived till the end!!!! My food was cold by the time I ate it as I wanted to wait for my boyfriends to arrive . I have to say it was busy, but they should hire more waitstaff so that this doesn't occur in the future. Needless to say, we will not be back. Very disappointed !!!!

Well the food was pretty good hear. Both my husband and I had eggs Irish. But the service was kind of poor. Our waitress only filled our coffees once, and never came over again until we asked her. She forgot about my husband's OJ, and then brought us the wrong check, and she had to go find the right one. Otherwise, I thought the food was pretty good. I think we'll definitely give it a second try :)

Mr C's is one of those classic local breakfast shops that everyone loves about their hometown. You instantly feel at home like your in your Mom's kitchen wether this is visit 1 or 500. I highly recommend the pancakes or omelets for breakfast and the club sandwiches for lunch. Breakfast and lunch are both at great prices....sometimes cheaper than buying the groceries to make the same meal!
