We are visiting and found this amazing breakfast restaurant. I felt like I experienced the real Chelsea. Our waitress made us fell welcome while taking care of her regular local customers. The food tastes wonderful and large portions. We will be back tomorrow. This place helped make our vacation wonderful.

This review will be limited in scope, because I've never actually been to Savino's, despite driving by it all the time to get to the world's greatest Market Basket. Today, a coworker was heading there to pick up lunch and offered to grab a sandwich for me. He'd ordered a BLT and despite having brought a perfectly good lunch, a BLT sounded great. And it was. It was an unexpectedly sublime sandwich experience. There was nothing fancy about it. No applewood smoked bacon, nothing called aoli. Just a whole bunch of crispy (but not burned) bacon, some iceburg, some tomato, and a healthy (or not) slather of mayonnaise on toast. It was the BLT I'd always expected my mother to make, only better. I'm being this effusive in my praise despite eating it half cold when it arrived at the office. I can only imagine how good it would be eaten in house. More importantly, I fully intend to find out.

Great greasy spoon diner with a loyal local following. They tend to be closed on every holiday and even some Sundays when you wouldn't expect but the food is decent for diner food. I usually sit at the counter. You never know who you're going to wind up talking to when you hit this place. Last time I was there a guy smelled my perfume and started hitting on me. Nice guy, but not interested thank you. The service can be a bit gruff but efficient. The place really has no atmosphere apart from the fact that it puts no airs on.

So I finally catch this place open, I am hungover and in need of food. I have lived in Chelsea for my whole life and I have driven by this place a thousand times. So I go in and the place is very old school but cozy as well. They are very limited with their hours so your better of going in the morning. They have specials and the menu is very limited. So I order the steak bomb omelette and the Savino special. The home fries were ok not really the best tasting. The bacon, sausage and ham were cooked fantastic plus the egg were definitely not carton. The pancakes were delicious one big one and the other a regular size. Overall the food was really good and filling.

I have been traveling to Chelsea a couple of days each month on business and found this little jewel of a breakfast place. Very local, very clean, and very good.......the food is delicious and the staff very friendly.....it looks a little shaky from the outside, but when you walk through the door, you are transported to a time before the fast food chains ruled the world.......you will not be disappointed......

On a chilly Saturday morning in Chelsea with time on my hands i warned into Savinos not knowing what to expect. It was filled with regulars. I took my place at the counter and had a killer bacon and cheese omlet home fries and toast and coffee all were great. See ya next saturday!
