Last night was my 4th time visiting and every single dish and drink I ordered was awesome. Just wish they would add a vegan desert. But I will be back soon

With the annual diabetes convention going on in town, hotels were booked and my visiting friend was forced to take a hotel outside of town. In order to meet for dinner we agreed on meeting partially outside the city in Chelsea. I was a little skeptical about the area which was much more humble and run down than expected and so was fusion foods at first sight. You walk in to a menu board and a staircase; confusing as this is supposed to be a sit-down restaurant. However, when urged upstairs, the top floor opens up in this very quiet, quaint, well decorated floor with 2 and 4 tops and a bar. My friend A and I ordered starters after a long day of travelling and working; Chicken Satay strips [3] and friend spring rolls. The chicken was juicy and the peanut sauce was chunky as I like it. The spring rolls contained pork and there were plenty of them accompanied with the standard chili dipping sauce. The pork was heartier than expected, a plus. Attempting to delicately make use of the chopsticks we struggled with the first 1 or 2 until I abandoned the approach and resorted MBA style eating -- stabbing the spring roll vertically with 1 chopstick which allowed for a perfect fit into the slim sauce. The process was appalling to A - yet practical. A much faster way to nipping up all the delicious pork. As main courses, I ordered the Pad Thai with Shrimp and A had the Pho! [Pho Sho he declares, I will have De Pho]. A perfect sized portion, with about 6 succulent shrimp and very mild spice [about a 2]. Excellent. A was overwhelmed with the Pho which came pipping hot. Lip smacking with each spoon full. Plus, they took pretty pictures. Our server turned out to be the owner, who was very prompt in service, yet allowed for a relaxed and delicious meal. The decor was also incredibly tactful. And the music selection was Lounge from the mid to late 2000s. Super happy. All in all a very good meal in an unassuming location.

Took the family back since the disapointing last experience and everything was pretty good ! I can't help but like the place & I'm willing to admit there is no point in holding a grudge, This is good, interesting, and very fresh food in a super unusual, sophesticated, Left Bank atmosphere... ( & in Chelsea of all places! , go figure)... They are def worth a try... NB on your way home stop by at my go to Guatamalan *fried chicken* place, Pollo Campero - a block or two away & bring some home for a midnight snack (outstanding) Stephen W.

Cash only. Would have been nice if I knew that beforehand. Food was so-so. I expected a lot better. Too many bean sprouts in the Pad Thai to taste any flavor. Mango Smoothie was decent.

Fyi: cash only! That said, Fusion was such a pleasant surprise! My bf works in Chelsea & this is our go-to when I meet him for lunch. I'm a vegetarian and most dishes were also offered as a vegetarian option. My faves are the hot & sour soup and caramelized onion, pineapple and tofu. My bf always orders the chicken pad see ew (commonly a special). The Thai iced tea is reason enough to go! If you're in the area, it's worth checking out.

No delivery! Yummy Thai ice tea. Pai Thai decent with extra peanut sauce. Cute upstairs restaurant.

Blessing to Chelsea. This place has the best fried rice i've ever had in life. I also absolutely love their pad thai!! I've also tried their lemongrass chicken and taro balls..... Yummm!!!It's all so perfect. The prices are a little high for the portion size but the quality is impeccable so I can't really complain. My coworkers often come here for after work dinner and drinks (BYOB). My only complaint is that the portions should be larger. I would love a little more chicken in my lemongrass chicken!

  • Yifei C.

I went there with my wife. The fried rice we tried was super greasy and the pho was the worst ever. My wife felt very uncomfortable after the dinner.

Kind of bummed, we were visiting from California and made it by 7:40, they closed at 8 but they told us they couldn't take us because they were closed. We were looking forward to trying BECAUSE of their yelp reviews! Bummer we leave tomorrow!

We dropped into this place because we were catching a play down the street. I happen to eat a lot of Asian food, and I have had my share of Thai and Vietnamese. This place was okay. I got to try a few different things, since we all traded tastes of things. I got the sauteed chicken in coconut curry. The chicken was a bit dry, but the dish tasted fine. The crispy basil chicken was pretty good. The grilled pork chops were a bit dry. My friend got the Pho and was not happy that the waitress put Siracha in for her. She would not have added as much, and it was quite spicy. The prices were about average (about $40 per couple, entrees and appetizers) We had a chicken lettuce wrap that wasn't bad. This place has a BYOB policy for beer/wine. I don't think I would go back here, I am rarely in the area, and I would rather try somewhere else.

If I wasn't so hungry, I would have abandoned the food and gone somewhere else. I ordered the pork chop with vermicelli noodles, Hubs got the Garlic Beef with vegetables. My "pork chop" was mostly bone and gristle. Over salted and barely edible. The Garlic Beef consisted of a few pieces of what looked and tasted like dry, cooked yesterday, beef pellets out of a dog food can. Ew. Nice decor, good service, horrid food. Not worth the money. Two stars instead of one, because of the good service.

As the CFO of a respectable unrecognized non profit organization, my executive board and I decided to have our weekly Friday meeting at Fusion. Many of us have dined here before because the food is tasty. We were all aware that this is a sit down restaurant, therefore, many of us ordered ahead. Upon arrival, our table wasn't ready, the food came out at different times, the service was slow and the waitress was not entirely pleasant. When I had the pad thai the first time I visited this establishment, it was delicious, but it could be that today was an off day... Another executive board member also expressed that the pad thai didn't taste as great. The dish was missing fresh scallions and the noodles weren't cooked well. If your dining time is precious, your best bet is to do take out.

A great place for flavorful Asian cuisine, not what you'd expect in Chelsea. Definitely worth the trip! If you're attending a show at the Apollinaire, this is the perfect place for pre-theatre dining. Be advised: *CASH ONLY*

A Yummy surprise.. I just did not expect this hidden gem with such great food. We were heading to the theater across the street and did not expect to find such a great place to eat. They were supper accommodating knowing about our after dinner plans.

This place is truly a hidden gem.... After class in Chelsea, I pondered to myself, where can I find some good eats out here, something different, tired of fast food. I used my handy Yelp app, and viola!!! Yelp gave me some good recommendations. I saw this place and all the good reviews from my fellow Yelpers, and just knew I had to try it, and boy I was glad I did. As soon as I walked in the aroma of the Delicious dishes put me in almost a food horniness( Yes I was horny for this food) i asked one of the servers to recommend something for me and went with the garlic lemongrass sauteed beef with jasmine rice. So simple but so flavorful at the same time. They inquired if I want spicy.....HELL YES!!!! OMG I enjoyed every bite, I am siked to come back here. I got the food to go, but would love to sit down, the ambiance appeared relaxed and comfortable. I would have never expected a place like this in Chelsea, but I'm glad it is, and I will spend a semester in Chelsea I will frequent Fusion Food often I'm sure

Went with a group and tried the salmon rolls, patate douce fritters, and edamame for starters. All were delicious. Had the Pho with beef for dinner. So good! The huge bowl for $12 would have fed three people as an appetizer. It is cash only, and you do have to bring your own wine. The upstairs decor is lovely and surprising. It's a very small restaurant. Parking is on-street. The service was fine. Didn't have the experience some of the other reviewers complained about. I would definitely go back, especially as I work nearby.

  • Michael C.

Fusion Foods was fantastic and definitely a hidden gem tucked away in Chelsea. The portions are perfect and so are the prices. With the portion sizes if you're hungry it is probably a good idea to get an appetizer. This place is small but the decor it perfect. Here is what we had: Salmon Rolls - Spring rolls filled with salmon, came with a good dipping sauce. Enough for 2 or 3 people to split Sautéed Coconut Curry Lemongrass Chicken - Delicious, the chicken was perfectly seasoned. I only wish there was a little more, but at $10 it was enough for me Sesame Noodles with Shrimp - One of the most interesting dishes I've had in a while, it was very good. The sesame sauce covered noodles was a definite must try. Red Bean Ice Cream - They make ice cream made from beans. My favorite ice crema flavor ever? No, but definitely worth a try.

I've been coming here for a few years, and it never fails to amaze me. Their boba tea is amazing and tastes fresh. I usually get the garlic chicken or shrimp, and the consistency every time is what I go back for. Its very seasoned and VERY delicious. THIS IS A CASH ONLY PLACE. But there was a BoCa next door so no issues. Extremely quiet, attentive service, come here if you want some alone time. Its great.

One of the hidden gems of Greater Boston. The food is great, the menu is simple and the portions are not the typical huge american sizes so you can try several things without feeling stuffed. Their smoothies, teas and deserts are amazing as well. Definitely try those. The ambiance is great with dim lights, Ikea furniture and deep house music as a background. Everything a European like me enjoys :) Cash only is not too big of an issue as there is a BOFA ATM next to the restaurant.

The food was decent. Nothing special but, definitely not bad. What bothered me the most was the atrocious service. I went with my girlfriend on a night that was apparently a slow night. We were literally the only people seated for the first 30 minutes we were there. The server had an attitude and treated us like we were intruding on her space. Took forever to bring us a water and actually take our order, and all of her answers were curt. My girlfriend wasn't super hungry so she grabbed just an appetizer and wanted to split my meal which was fine. Got a 50% "shared plate" charge for it at the end. We would have ordered delivery if we knew how terrible the service was, but instead we'll never go back.

I found this place on yelp and wow! What a find!! I've been telling everyone I know about it. When I went it was with a friend and we got so many things! We got the ginger beef sald, the chicken and cabbage salad, and the lettuce wraps. All amazing. The main course was the shrimp and noodles curry (amazing shrimp and a great curry flavor) we also got the pork chops which I was a bit weary of ordering because pork can go so wrong but again, amazing. The rice on the side was also great. I highly recommend!

Service was slow and not inviting. Food was good but was not told that it was cash only until I went to pay. Who carries cash anymore?! I have been in the industry for many years and they did not live up to my standard of acceptable service. Unfortunately will not return but not because of the food.

This spot is the 'ish. Skip the pad Thai ... You gotta order the pho, it's made with magic.

My new favorite restaurant!!!!!! I discovered this place in December and have been back at least 6 times since. Everything on the menu is prepared fresh and perfectly seasoned. The veggies are crisp and delicious. It's BYOB but that works out well as the package store is next door and your bottle of wine is not at restaurant prices!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful. We live in the South End in Boston but have no issue with making the trip across the Tobin to eat at Fusion Foods.

Second time here...even better than the first. Hands down the best ceviche I've ever had. Can't go back to eating fried average bar calamari. Six of us ate family-style and everything on the table was absolutely fantastic. The caramelized onion and pineapple salmon dish was amazing. The lemongrass pho was unbelievable as well. If you happen to be in Chelsea I cant imagine you'll find a better place to eat a fresh variety of awesome Asian food. Enjoy!

Ok, so we know that the whole dated Asian Fusion deal peaked maybe 17 years ago or so, a fact not helped in this case by the tacky clubby decor. That being said, to say that this place is a much needed asset to this area would be a extreme understatement. This grim and hardscrabble satellite city is sorely lacking in dining options save for a large number of Central American establishments and a scattering of blue collar relics from previous demographic eras. Also the place served some better than average pad thai (taking into account how many lame versions of the dish are out there). Other dishes, like dried out on the inside, greasy on the outside fried salmon spring rolls, failed to impress. Regardless if you find yourself in this town I would be hard pressed to find another place to recommend over it around here.

  • Michael G.

I owed my friend a dinner so we went over to Fusion.. They had just recently opened the upstairs lounge/dining area. I had been there before and the food was great but it had a small dining area. We ate upstairs. They give you water with cucumber in it, it's actually really good. I had some hot tea to start but I recommend have one of their specialty cold teas, they're really good but I was little cold. I'm not even sure what we got mine was salmon his was beef but they were both really good and the staff is really nice, easy to look at as well :). I'll be back...

Pad Thai, spicy udon noodles and tapioca smoothies were delicious, and the upstairs dining room is beautiful, but unfortunately the service was lacking. Fiance and I were I were the only ones dining in early on a thursday evening and the waitress was unattentive and disinterested. I'd probably give it another chance because the food was good.

Completely delighted and surprised by the freshness and flavor of the food. I wish it was closer to Boston so I could visit more frequently. The ingredients were perfectly balanced. Orders are cooked fresh to order.

  • Darla S.

food is fresh & tasty. We like to go here once in a while. Portions are small, prices are high and its cash only. Not the most friendliest service or informative. You have to know what you want and not ask a lot of questions. Menu online does not match inhouse prices so make sure you ask when you call. Otherwise Food is tasty.

  • Robyn C.

Their food is pretty good and not too expensive. The location isn't the best but is easy to get to. It is definitely worth checking it out. The only thing is the restaurant is so dark inside but do check it out.

Just in from LA A must try for the Thai/Vietnamese food lover. The coco curry is insane and the shrimp spring rolls could make the cut anywhere in Bolsa - Little Saigon - Orange County.

I don't know how or why I missed this place for so long, but I sure am glad I've discovered it now! They have some excellent dishes, many of which can be made vegetarian (be sure to specify no fish sauce if you want a dish to be vegetarian). My favorite so far has been the pineapple fried rice with tofu, which is quite delicious, though very, very spicy. They delivered for a while, which was awesome, but I think they've since stopped doing that. Bummer, because their delivery made ordering from them much more convenient. In any case, it's nice that we can get high-quality, interesting takeout without having to drive into the city.

So I had went here and after all of the hype that I had received from others about the quality and everything, I was under impressed. It is nice but the service was terrible, the waiter had a stick up her ass and was a b**** the whole time until at the end of the convo I told her all the good things that I had heard about the place. It wasn't until then did she act nice. Like seriously. The food was subpar and there are so many goddamn hidden fees there. BYOB fee. Dine in fee. Like WTF?!?!

5 stars all the way. Recently renovated with a large very classy dinning area upstairs. They are also trying to get a liquor license to expand on their loungy area upstairs. Unique menu with light, healthy food. Everything I've eaten here is just delicious! Coconut curry shrimp, ginger chicken stir fry, pineapple salmon (my fav), and their awesome iced teas! Support this local buiness!

The best thing about this tiny restaurant are the newspaper clippings framed on the wall. Clipped from 2009-2010, are a series of upbeat articles about how Chelsea is an "up and coming town" with its "best days ahead of it". You have to have that sort of (entirely misguided) optimism to set up shop in the middle of Chelsea. Food is a little bit pricy for the portion size (and neighborhood), but it's quite tasty. There really are only two employees, so during lunch time it can be quite a wait. Call ahead.

Still 5 stars! I am a Fusion Foods regular and am loving it! I recently hosted a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend. The owner was so accommodating with my requests especially since we took over practically half of the restaurant. I even asked if we could use my own beer glasses instead of theirs and she didn't even bat an eyelash! (The beer glasses were party favors) I made the reservation for 15 a couple weeks ahead of time for a Saturday night. Ultimately, our group was a smidge smaller but it was nice to have a little extra elbow room. I explained that since it was a surprise party, people would trickle in. It wasn't a problem for them! For the same reason, I ordered appetizers for guests ahead of time. I kept things simple and ordered 4 orders of the chicken spring rolls and 4 of the shrimp spring rolls. Our guests seemed to enjoy them. As for the main event, everyone ordered entrees or combinations of several entrees. One of the guests has an allergy and didn't anticipate an ingredient in a dish. She let the owner know and presto, she had a new one. The owner let us keep the "bad" dish, which was a win for the rest of us! We split the bill down the middle (entrees only) and we paid less than 15 per person tip and tax included! Loves it. Helpful reminders: - Fusion Foods is cash only. There's a BofA ATM on the corner of Everett St and Broadway - Fusions Foods is BYOB!

Found this place on yelp! Went here for my birthday with a group & glad I chose this place because the food was fantastic! Had the lychee smoothie, we shared 3 apps: turkey turnovers, chicken Spring rolls, garlic wings, and the curry lemongrass shrimp. Everyone seemed very happy with the food they ordered.

This is my favorite restaurant in Chelsea. I've been here several times and every time its delicious. Before they opened their upstairs it was a very small operation. Last year that all changed when they expanded and now its even better. The decor upstairs is contemporary and a perfect spot for a group or couples dinner. Now on to the food: It's all delicious. We've had a lot of whats on the menu. My favorites are: Fresh Rolls: plump rolls with chicken or shrimp, mint and vermicelli, served with peanut sauce. These are a must every time. Beef Salad: Thinly sliced spicy beef over a cucumber salad, topped with peanuts and pepper. This is similar to a Tiger's Tears salad at any Vietnamese place. Pad Thai: They make the best one! It's a generous portion with your choice of meat. Spiced Pork chop: Juicy and full of flavor Steamed lemongrass mussels: Unique twist on shellfish The prices and quality here are superb. They take time preparing each dish, then present it beautifully. The owner woman is always a pleasure to deal with. She is helpful with suggestions and keeps the dining room impeccable. We love this place. Try it out. You'll be surprised to find such a gem in Chelsea.

I found Fusion Foods while searching for a place to have dinner near the Apollinaire Theater. I live in Chicago and was unfamiliar with the area, but after reading the reviews, decided upon Fusion Foods. I am so happy I found this restaurant. It was excellent: the restaurant is beautiful and clean, perfect for either a date or just dinner with a friend (I was there with my mom). The food is fresh, delicious and well made. My mother and I are both sticklers for the temperature of our food and both of our meals were piping hot. I got the best Pho I've had in my life. It's also entirely affordable and if that wasn't enough, it's BYOB - perfect. I sincerely hope that this place continues to thrive based on these reviews, as it's definitely hidden and unassuming from the outside. I will certainly be back the next time I'm home to visit my mom.

Came here with a colleague for lunch based on the other Yelp reviews. Don't be fooled by its appearance. The dining area is very nice upstairs. For lunch, it was quiet. Their smoothies and teas are excellent. Started off with a hot vietnamese soup which was excellent and then the Pad Thai with shrimp for lunch. Lots of fresh vegetables used, especially sprouts which were very crisp. Nice blend of sweet, sour and hot used. The service was very good. The only negative is they say they don't have bathroom facilities nor do they serve alcohol. I didn't verify this, but it didn't take away from the lunch either. It's also a CASH Only venue. ATM machine is around the corner.

  • Yury M.

Nice decor, good food, appetizers are okay. But the wait for food sometimes is wayyy to long like 30-40 on a slow day? Not enough people working there. And the manager is not nice to you if you basically don't look like you have money. Customers are customers treat them all the same. That's what you do in the restaurant business. I had a party of more than 6 and the food came out like in 10-15 minutes but on a slow day it takes forever.... And I suggest not to get any bubble tea just go to Chinatown! Or across the street at teriyaki yummy!

This place is wonderful. Me and my girlfriend found it about 2 months ago and have already gone back about 4-5 times. I've tried several of the dishes and you can tell that everything is made-to-order. No pre-made stuff here. The woman who owns the place is super friendly and the ambience is nice as well. Really nothing bad to say about this place except that it's CASH ONLY and perhaps the portions could be a little larger. I like to eat a lot and I generally have to order 2 entrees to feel full. The only exception is the ceviche which is a good size and filling (and unbelievably delicious). Other than that, you NEED to come eat here. Chances are you'll probably run into me and my girlfriend. Yelp doesn't let you give 4.5 stars but that's my true rating.

This place was awesome. My wife and I stumbled across it as follows: "Where should we go for dinner?" "I dunno." "Why don't we go to Chelsea?" "Ok." And boom, there it was. I cannot remember the last time -- if ever -- I have been given a menu where I literally wanted to order everything on it. Everything on every page sounded absolutely delicious -- from the smoothies to the apps to the salads to the main courses -- and we were not disappointed with what we did get. Everything is light, hot, fresh, and delicious. And slightly out-of-the-ordinary, but oh-so-familiar at the same time. Only caveat: I missed the sign on the way in that said cash only and which gave the location of the nearest (BofA) ATM two doors down. I ended up walking several blocks after dinner to the 7-11 to get cash. Also, BYOB.

Went to Fusion Foods with the hubs after seeing it on Chronicle. NEW FAVORITE! Fusion Foods wins on every front; *The decor is understated, serene and classy, *Service is excellent!- one woman, (owner?) serves the entire upstairs dining room. She makes it look effortless, (and she's genuinely sweet, which is refreshing.) *The food--is--the--BEST! I am a Thai connoisseur, and it beat my expectations. I ordered the green curry, which is usually, for me, a good gauge for the overall quality of an institution's food. It was flavorful, tender, and had some unexpected yet delicious ingredients, (were those tomatillos?) *Loved the meringue and mariachi-esque music playing. Created an interesting cultural juxtaposition between food and ambiance. *Beyond reasonably priced. I don't think anything on the menu was over $30. Bottom line: diamond in the rough! I wouldn't have expected the high level of quality Fusion Foods offers from looking at the exterior of their building. (Chelsea's a little rough around the edges) but I am hooked now, and will definitely be back again. It's "my" place :)

My mom and I tried Fusion out for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. As you walk upstairs to the dining room its like walking into a tranquil space, so different from the busy street just outside. It would be perect for a small function. I loved the decor and everything was very clean and tidy. It was quiet and we were the only people dining at first but then a few more tables filled up. To start I had a very delicious strawberry mojito.. no alcohol but very refereshing. Spring rolls for an app and I got the garlic chicken stir fry. It was very good and super fresh. My mom enjoyed the chicken pad thai. We asked for coffee but they only served Vietnamese style. I will definatly go back here and I hope more and more people check it out. Cash only which also was a bit of an downer but there is an atm at the corner.

Amazing gem in an unusual location. Very close to Charlestown and soo worth visiting. This has been my favorite restaurant since I first checked it out a year ago. Really fresh. Authentic Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Very good prices. Bring your own wine or beer! Cant beat that! Zen ambiance with good music. Vegan and veg options. Take out too! We really come here too much...necause its so damn good.

I really like the new renovations. The place was very nice and the food was very good. We got the turkey turnovers as an app. They were very good and it was fun to watch my partner struggle with chopsticks. I got the Pad Thai. Which I thought was very good but I am no Pad Thai snob. The peanuts were used sparing me which I really liked, as I do not like the crunchy texture of the peanuts in a dish like this. My dining partner got the basil encrusted chicken. I was given a bite of it and it was very flavorful. We went on a Friday night and the place was real quite. I hope business picks up for this hidden gem. Also they do not take credit cards and they do not serve beer or wine.... You are probably saying to yourself no beer and cash only and he still gave them 5 stars. Yes it was that good.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is the best restaurant in Chelsea. It's a little hole-in-the wall with a single table outside (which was just added) and a couple 2-chair tables inside--big orders and big parties should take out--and it's easy to miss or mistake for a dive. That would be a mistake. They serve great Thai and Vietnamese-influenced fusion, with authentic but perhaps enhanced and creative flavors, but a unique and well-realized personality. So a confident and enthusiastic 5 stars! I have my reasons. 1. Great food. This was hands down the best pad-thai I've had in years, if not in my life. To be fair, the owner did warn me that it would be, but I have to give her credit for living up to her word. My second visit was a simpler but explosively tasty ginger chicken rice plate of which I ate every last bit. Very flavorful in all the right ways, obviously extremely fresh and cooked perfectly. 2. Great friendly service from someone who very clearly cares about the food, health and freshness, the customers, and the overall quality of the experience. This makes a huge difference. I've only been there a few times and I already feel like this place is a little island of home in a sea of, well, Chelsea. 3. Excellent, simple menu with great variety. I had a great discussion with the owner about how well designed it is, because every item is named perfectly and needs no description, and it's large enough to have plenty of options, while being small enough not to be overwhelming. Excellent focus and design. 4. Boba teas and smoothies made fresh with real fruit. Yum. I'd go just for these, honestly. "Best Restaurant in Chelsea" isn't a terribly competitive title, but I'm pretty confident on it for this place. It's one of those restaurants where it's clear that everything is done right because the care and attention is there. A real diamond in the rough (almost literally!). It's the kind of place I want to see succeed and prosper, so check it out! Update: They now have even more affordable and convenient lunch-sized portions, which is great because I could never finish a whole entree before.

This place is great. They haven't been around for a while but are constantly improving. The Thai food is great, and the options are fantastic. My wife loves the Pad Thai, I tend to get something different every time we go, I really love it all!

Ive driven by this unassuming little place in Chelsea a million times on my way home, and never gave it a thought until I read reviews on Yelp. Simply put, this little place is a revelation. Situated in the middle of a nondescript street on the border of Chelsea and East Boston, once you walk upstairs you'll find a beautifully, tastefully decorated restaurant. The food is very reasonably priced and we were uniformly impressed. We had chicken satay, salmon crispy rolls and garlic grilled wings to start--all were fresh and delicious, especially the salmon rolls. For entrees we had Coco Curry Butterfly Shrimp and the shrimp with green curry, thai basil and thai eggplant. Divine. My wife, who is not a fan of mango, battled me for our slice of mango mousse cake, which was intensely flavorful but managed to be very light at the same time. This is no mass-produced Thai food; it tastes carefully made, with fresh ingredients, and we were both blown away. I'm almost glad its in Chelsea so it doesn't get too busy. That said, if you're anywhere nearby, CHECK IT OUT! Also, they have lots of teas and smoothies, but no alcohol yet, so BYOB!

Fusion is definitely a hidden gem tucked deep in Chelsea. It is a 5 star Boston restaurant really. The cuisine is absolutely unique and satisfying. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely and charming. There is not a single dish on the menu that I would not recommend for anyone to enjoy whether or not they have ever been here before. If you are just in town staying at the Wyndham or something this is the perfect place to go and have a good meal while in between meetings.

This place is awesome. My girlfriend and I have gone here twice now, once for takeout, and once for dinner. Walking around the neighborhood, you might not think this place is as nice as it is. They have a couple tables outside on the sidewalk. Walk up there stairs, and its like walking into a high end Thai restaurant in Boston. Hardwood floors, nice tile bar, comfy looking lounge section. I got the Chicken Pad Thai, and my girlfriend got the ginger chicken dish, both are incredible, and at $10 a pop, almost unbelievable. We also split the Green Tea Ice Cream, which was good, not outstanding like the rest, and we shared a Thai Iced Tea. This Thai Ice Thai is the best, and I do mean the best I have ever had. This place would easily be 5 stars, however there are 2 downsides. 1st of all, no liquor license so no booze. 2nd, and most important, this place is CASH ONLY. There is an BOfA ATM a few hundred feet away, but still stinks to get ready to leave and be told that they can't take your credit card.

Food was good, the place is nice and relaxing..but, was not pleased with the service. The waitress did not smile once!..I asked for sweet and sour sauce, she didnt want to give it to me..asked for water, had to wait 30mins for a glass water mind you my mouth was on FIRE!!... we asked for dessert menu and when we asked what where they she rudely explained the options..dont think im going back.. good service is always a plus!

All the food is freshly prepared. Been here three times and great every time. Small, cozy, and a really nice ambiance for a small small or large party. BYOB. Generous portions for a reasonable price.

It's been eons since I wrote my first review, and since then, I've been back a bunch of times, so it definitely deserves an update, because it's changed quite a bit! First of all, they've expanded! This place used to be pretty much strictly takeout, because there was only one small table inside, but now they have a second floor! Immediately as you walk in, there are stairs that take you up to their brand spankin' new dining room! The menu has changed as well, but the quality and freshness of the food hasn't. They have their standard menu, which you can find online, but pay special attention to the chalkboard behind the counter when you walk in. There are LOTS of specials on there. Additionally, I've found that they will pretty much make you anything you want here. You can call and say, "Can I have a beef and veggie dish, with noodles, and can you make that spicy?" and they will say "OK!" Everything is made fresh to order, so they can alter their dishes to your liking. Huge +1 for that. The staff has remained small, but consistent. Super pleasant, great phone manners, excellent service, and very polite! As others have mentioned, this is a cash-only establishment. Also, due to the fresh, made-to-order bit, the food may take a little longer than expected. Asian places are usually known to whip up food orders in about five minutes, but it will take about 20 minutes here. Be patient, though, Grasshoppah... I can pretty much guarantee you that it's worth it. Also, their hours are somewhat limited, so call in advance if you're unsure if they're open (for example, I believe they're closed on Mondays). But, their hours HAVE expanded from when they first opened and I started going there. They used to be closed on Sundays too, and I've noticed they now have Sunday hours. Oh Fusion Foods, I only wish I hadn't moved out of Chelsea so that I can eat your food more often!

Fusion Foods is phenomenal. We heard about it while waiting and waiting and waiting for our food at an East Boston restaurant. Which one is for another story entirely. I took my mom on a rainy Saturday night. She wasn't too thrilled about the idea of heading into Chelsea and I must admit that it was my first time there as well. I was pleasantly surprised at how gentrified Chelsea is. That, too, is a story for another time. FF has a take out counter set up downstairs and upstairs is a dining room. It is minimalist and well-designed. It is a sanctuary dedicated to fresh food. We started with the fresh spring rolls, which were the best my mom and I had ever had. Large bean sprouts, fresh shrimp, and savory peanut sauce made this appetizer delicious. I had the spicy lemongrass soup with sliced beef and my mom had the Coco Curry Butterfly Shrimp, which was to die for. The soup was aromatic and spicy. Full of mint, cilantro, beef, and noodles. It was HUGE and I was more than happy to take it home. The staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back! P.S. It's cash only (with BOA on the corner) and BYOB!

When I used to live in Chelsea this was my go to spot for tasty fusion vegan eats. The owner is very nice and the renovations upstairs are breath taking! The ambiance is really upscale and the food was amazing, just like I remember. I would give this restaurant 5 stars but the service was a bit slow, and I had to wait a good 15 minutes for water when I was eating a really spicy noodle dish. Another reason why I didn't absolutely loved my experience is because I told the woman I don't eat fish or want fish sauce and she brought out two sauces and never said that there was fish sauce in one of the dips. I was a bit put off by that, since I tried some of it on my VEGAN spring rolls :( UGH Next time I will ask about every single thing on the menu and If I can eat it. My boyfriend really enjoyed his fish rolls and chicken pad thai. We were wondering if they served alcohol, but just read in a previous review that it is BYOB which is pretty awesome. There are no other BYOB places in the Boston area.

We were blown away by the grand opening of the 2nd floor!!! Love the club/lounge atmosphere! The Asian (Thai/Viet) food there are delightful and fresh. A surprising little gem for Chelsea! Keep up the good work!

Awesome! Went here the other day on a whim and was blown away. I lived in Thailand for 5 years while I worked for the JUSMAG-THAI, so I know my Thai food. The Pad Thai servered here is better than mine own, and the closest I've tasted to the real deal than anywhere else outside of Thailand. The Vietnamese Pork Chop was amazing, too. They also serve it super hot if you request it, just like Thailand! I like sweatiing into my food ;)~ I definitely will return again and again ...

My husband and I went here and we LOVE it. I am actually going to bring my girlfriends here next girls' night out. The decor has a nice Zen feel to it. Nice menu and great atmosphere. We tried the chicken lettuce wraps with peanut sauce. It's okay. I think it would have been better with less mints. My husband loved his crispy basil chicken with rice. Nice crunch with sweet flavor. I ordered the chicken pineapple with fried rice. It was full of flavor, right kind of spicy, with sweetness. I was taken back on how much rice there was, but hubby helped with that. Overall, great experience. Will come again....but I will try a different app next time.

One of my favorite places to eat Thai/Vietnames food. Again, this is called FUSION FOODS so it is FUSION cooking. This is a cute restaurant where you first walk in and say...oh, ok...that is until you go upstairs. Upstairs is like Thailand met IKEA.It feels so earthy, yet modern and it is something you would not expect in Chelsea. I go once every few months and have had a consistent, positive experience. The owner is super nice and the quality of the food is top notch and the ingredients are super fresh. Note that it is cash-only but there is an ATM nearby. The prices are inexpensive (at least to me) and the portion is just right. Definitely a must for any lover of Thai/Vietnames cuisine!

So random for a little hole in the wall in the middle of Chelsea! I was so surprised to walk upstairs to the beautifully remodeled dining area. The only negative things that I have to say is that it is -NOT HANDICAP ACCESIBLE -It is in a run down, ghetto area - The bathrooms are unisex -They only take cash , no cards Other than that, the FOOD is AMAZZZZIIINNNNGGGG! The BEST I have ever had. The staff are attentive and the decor is fab. Although they don't have a liquor license, they do allow you to bring your own. BUT when I showed up with my bottle of plum wine and received the check, I realized that they do charge a $6 fee to BYOB (which is almost as much as my wine cost). A heads up on that would've been nice. Also, when I went to pay the tab, I was informed that they do not take card payments and only accept cash so I had to leave and run to the ATM. Other than that, I will definately be going here monthly! :~)

Great restaurant in the heart of Chelsea. Food was terrific; excellent value. The pork chop was one of the best I've ever had. Get a fruit shake as well! Cash only though, so be prepared. Well worth it. My date and I ate well for $36 before tip.

I wish this place were closer to Boston, but that would probably ruin it. I visited w/ a friend before seeing a play at the theater nearby and was pleasantly surprised. I admit I had only done a bit of research, and should have read more reviews to figure out that I should have paid attention to a chalkboard listing specials hidden somewhere in the restaurant. But then again, shouldn't something with specials be in plain sight? It was a little awkward walking in, there seemed to be a girl doing homework - which is fantastic, so keep that up random girl who is still in school - but was she supposed to be our greeter? Because it took a second for her to notice the two deer in headlights looking for some direction before she directed us upstairs. The dining room was very nicely decorated, and felt very calm and peaceful. It's probably a small room as far as restaurants go, but none of the tables felt squished. Our server was very nice and offered to help with any questions. I don't remember her mentioning any specials, however. But perhaps that's because I didn't find the magic chalkboard hidden in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey... but I digress. For my meal I ordered the Pad Thai because I have this thing with trying "everyone's" Pad Thai. I can't remember if I got it medium or mild, but I was happy w/ the spice level. I didn't know that was an option w/ Pad Thai so that was cool. I did want a bit more of the sweetness to be present, though, to create a better balance, but you can't have it all. It was quite good, and I regret not boxing up the rest and popping back to my car to leave it there. My friend had the Crispy Salmon rolls and seemed to like them. I should have asked for more details for the purposes of this review. To drink I had the Black Sangria, though; it sounded really cool and has potential, but it was really watery when it arrived. My friend had the Thai ice tea, I think. I'll do better getting friend opinions next time. I was a tad disappointed at the lack of alcohol. Not that it's a deal-breaker, but I think there's a good opportunity there to showcase cool Vietnamese/Thai/Asian-inspired drinks that might be out there. Or something. It may not sound like it because I'm very nit-picky, but I did very much enjoy my experience and would recommend it to any friends who happen to be in the area.

Wow. Deliciousness all wrapped up in a family run business. Yes, please! Before Fusion Foods I had no idea that such a thing as a "White Lotus Stem Salad" existed, but I am damn glad it does exist now that I've tried it. This isn't something you will find on many menus around town so I highly recommend trying this! I had mine with tofu and it was a great blend of crunchy, flavorful, and fresh all in a healthy salad. SO GOOD. They are also vegetarian friendly! Yay! A good number of their dishes can be made vegetarian and they are easy to spot on the menu too, which helps me out when I'm having one of those days that I don't feel like searching out vegetarian options on a menu! I have yet to try something from this place that I didn't really like. Everything has a lot of great flavor and the blend of spices is just perfect! Fusion Foods is constantly coming up with new and delicious menu options as well, so it's nice to go back and check the menu every so often to see what's new. That keeps things exciting if you ask me. All in all, give this place a try. Eat their delicious food. Support this family-run business. Try their lotus stem salad, too! You can thank me later!

Great spot for takeout. Ginger chicken had great spice and it was a good portion size. The staff was friendly, but the cramped confines of the takeout area could be spruced/cleaned up a bit.

Get rid of any stereotypes you have in your head about food in Chelsea and check this place out. Bar none one of the best dining experiences you'll have in Boston. The food, service, and ambience all get 5 stars.

Went to Fusion for the first time for lunch today. Awesome hidden gem right in the middle of Chelsea. Delicious entrees (had a nice coconut curry chicken) and even better smoothies (try the passion fruit). Will definitely be back!

We were searching for Thai food and came across this restaurant. What caught my attention about this place was the overall rating... (dun dun dun). So my friend and I came here spur of the moment. Parking is available on the street (metered), we got lucky. When you walk in, you're greeted by the Take Out side of the restaurant, upstairs is where the tables are. They have two different menus, lunch and dinner. We both got the Pad Thai and the smoothie drinks. Pad Thai was, below par, really below par. Oh the smoothies looked like alcoholic beverages! Tasted more water then anything though. Customer service, what? We ordered our meals, food came pretty quicky thereafter. No one came to ask us how our meal was, if there is anything else we need, etc. Biggest downfall is CASH ONLY. It would have been nice if someone told us prior to sitting down and ordering. it's 2013. Restaurants taking cash only? Other then that, the pictures on the wall were nice. Probably won't be coming back here. For those that do and need an ATM, it's Bank Of America, walk out, go left, it's on the corner.

All the reviews below are true, this place is the definition of a hidden gem. I've never had a dish that wasn't fantastic, and I love that I leave there feeling satisfied but not overstuffed or heavy, because the food is so fresh and non-greasy. The pad thai is not like I've had before - it has a little kick to it, just delicious. I usually get that and one other dish to try when I dine there, along with a couple of apps. The turkey turnovers, chicken lettuce wraps, taro ball and egg rolls are amazing and last night I had the crispy Thai chicken for the first time, it was scrumptious. It's never busy when I go there and I wonder if it would be more so if they could serve liquor but I don't mind, I actually love to BYOB.

I literally have nothing to complain about. The food was flavorful and fresh, the atmosphere was chic and relaxed, the service was good. I had lived in Chelsea my whole life until about three weeks ago. I would have to discover this awesome place now that I'm thirty minutes away, right? Of course. It's a small location, but we had no problem finding a parking spot. The milky green iced tea was fantastic. It wasn't overpowering, just had enough of that wonderful green tea flavor to make me happy. The salmon rolls were crispy and delicious. They were my five-year-old nephew's favorite food, so he ended up eating most of them. I'm not a huge fan of spring rolls, but they were decent. The spicy garlic wings were awesome! Enough garlic and spice to make me happy, but not so hot that it ruined anything else's flavor. As for main courses, try the shrimp pad thai. It is quite honestly the best pad thai I've ever had! Also, the coco curry butterfly shrimp (I think that's what it was) was absolutely divine if you like curry. We got a spicy caramel chicken dish that blew me away. Super spicy, but you could still pick up on different flavors. And to top it off, they had green tea ice cream. Any place that has green tea ice cream gets on extra star for me. Prices were definitely reasonable, the food was delicious, and they had green tea ice cream. What more do you want? Go! Now!

Always a little scared when places use the word 'fusion' but this place was great! The menu isn't what you traditionally see in a Vietnamese or Thai menu - instead it was a creative interesting menu with many good options. The place has been recently been redone, the food was really good and the service was nice. This is a hidden gem.

Ok, 1st of all, I am reviewing the food and the service. Not the location or the delivery fees (Ashley), if you want convenience go to McDonalds, BK, and KFC. To find quality, you have to look for it; it is like finding a gem. This place is a gem, get over the drive; you will come to love it. It is hands down the best restaurant in Chelsea (and most towns around it!). It is really small, but that is part of the whole effect. I have had the following on more than one occasion (approx below): Turkey turnovers (3 times) Pineapple Rice w/Shrimp (3 times) Pho soup (10 times) Spicy lemongrass soup (10 times) Curry chicken skewers (5 times) Garlic wings (3 times) Egg rolls (5 times) taro balls? (5 times) Beef cucumber salad (7 times) Pad Thai (10 times) Results: The pad Thai is the best that I have ever had, to the point that I feel ruined. I have tried other places and each time I am terribly disappointed. Melissa's is the best! I wanted salad, so I tried the Beef & Cucumber. It was amazing, I requested well done and the beef came out crispy, the cukes were plentiful and the combination with the dressing and spices was nothing like what I expected. The rice (pineapple) was simple, yet effectively unique. Very tasty and very clean. The egg rolls are nothing like other egg rolls that I have had. They are small and tasty, not like the Chinese types that I had over the years. The taro balls (sorry if I did not spell correctly), again were unique but awesome. All dishes are amazing, and as you can tell my favorites are the pho, lemongrasse, beef/cuke salad, and pad thai. I am a very plain eater but have ventured out each time I visit this little place. The owner Melissa is on top of everything that comes out of that kitchen. Her attention to detail on every dish is commendable. I have been to this place at least 40 times since it has opened and will continue to go with high expectations. It is purely the best kept secret in this area. Great Work!!!!!

I do not understand all of the highly regarded reviews for this restaurant. I was extremely dissapointed with my trip to this restaurant. The thai food here is nothing compared to thai food you can get a real thai restaurant. I personally think this place is expensive for the amount of food given. The pad thai is not made with the normal thin rice noodles. They use large noodles which have a weird consistency. The portion size for the pad thai is about half of what you would receive at a thai restaurant. We also found a piece of plastic in our pad thai.....that was quite strange. My biggest complaint however is the chicken curry. The chicken curry here is a disgrace to all chicken curries. For $12 you get 3 small spoonfulls of rice, 4 small strips of chicken on top of a salad. The worst excuse of a chicken curry I have ever seen. It should not even be called chicken curry. It should be salad with curried chicken strips and some rice on the side.

Based on all the excellent yelp reviews ( Except Ashley's) we headed over to Fusion Foods. We each had a 3 course meal that left us feeling healthy, satisfied and didn't break the bank! You can easily eat for less than $15. The owner, Melissa, is very friendly and helpful. Do not miss: turkey turnovers and spring rolls curried chicken, crispy chicken, lemongrass soup! We will definitely go back.

Went to Fusion Foods for the first time on a recent Friday night. It was great, we will return. At our servers suggestion, we started with the Patate Douce Fritters and Crispy Taro Balls. Both were great. The Taro balls were just the right amount of fried, and the Fritters had an unexpected spicy sweet potato flavor. For entrees we got the Spicy Lemongrass Beef Soup(perfect for a cold winter's night) and the Coco Curry Butterfly Shrimp. You can tell everything is made to order, it's a step up from your usual fast food Thai place. The upstairs dining room had a great atmosphere. Nicely decorated with a cozy vibe. There's no alcohol, but they let you BYOB($5 corking fee). There's a convenience store directly behind the restaurant if you forgot to bring a bottle of something. It's cash only, but there's a Bank of America ATM directly next door. It's a hidden gem in Chelsea, check it out for yourself.

My husband and I met up with some friends last night at Fusion Foods. They had been many times before, this was our first time. The staff are amazing. Super friendly. They seemed to know everyone that walked in the door. We ordered 3 different appetizers to share.. the egg rolls were awesome, loved the fried balls, my favorite was the turkey turnover. For dinner my husband ordered the Coconut Curry Chicken. He ate every last bite, nothing was left. He is typically a meat and potatoes kind of guy, this is unusual. I'd venture to say he really enjoyed his meal. I went with the Chicken Pad-Thai after reading other reviews. Most excellent choice. I loved the peanuts in it. The flavors were very balanced. Overall, the food is made to order which was great! Everything was really fresh. I really liked the atmosphere, the staff and the food was awesome. We will be back!

Seven of us went here on a Friday night after reading all of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. Everything that has been written about food quality, freshness, the knowledge and friendliness of the owner?server, the warm decor - all true! We shared several appetizers including the Vegan Fall Rolls, Chicken Satay, Patate Douce Fritters, and Turkey Turnovers, and devoured all of it. Hubby, grandgirl and SIL had the Pad Thai at various spice levels and all could not stop raving about it. I had the Charbroiled Lemongrass Chicken delish! We ended the meal with ginger tea and red bean ice cream. Since it is a BYOB, the cost was downright cheap! We loved it all and can't wait to go back. This truly is a hidden treasure.

Wow is this place amazing. I had never tried Thai or Vietnamese food before so I'm glad this was my first choice. The prices of the meals are reasonable considering how fresh and delicious everything was. Will be definitely recommending this place to all my friends and family.

Delicious food made with care. Finally, a dedicated restauranteur comes to Chelsea. We discovered Fusion Foods when they first opened, and keep coming back week after week! The food is perfectly balanced with spice and flavor, and Mai's specials always provide for tasty variety. We recommend Fusion Foods to all our friends without hesitation! I will also go out on a limb here and say that this is the best restaurant in all of Chelsea! Not only is the food delicious, but the proprietor makes every effort to make you feel like family. Any reasonable requests are accommodated and Mai even extended her hours for the summer, which was a treat. Make sure to try the Pho (spicy!) especially on cold winter nights. All of the rice dishes have been great to date. Our favorites include the pan seared tilapia in a grape soy marinade, the sauteed coconut curry lemongrass chicken, and the caramelized spicy ginger chicken. But check out their website or facebook for daily specials. Please give them a try!!!

Fabulous find - small intimate restaurant, beautiful decor, good ambiance with delightful Latin music playing on the stereo (I know, at an Asian restaurant) but the best part was the food! Chose it because of the advertised vegetarian/vegan options. Turned out to be true, although there are meat, seafood and chicken items on the menu also. Food was delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Couldn't stop eating it tasted so good! Good portion sizes, can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu that sounded fabulous.

This place is raising the bar for dining in Chelsea. BYOB is, of course, the best. Add freshest tastiest greens ever, delicious, spicy dishes like pad thai, and this really choice grilled beef spinach salad dish that was twodye4. The only fly in the ointment was a clam appetizer that was rubbery like whoa. I actually was unable to chew it adequately, and thusly, disinclined to swallow the thing. But no matter! A+ for the tasteful design of the upstairs dining area, and the friendly and knowledgeable staff! This place is a diamond in the rough!

I have been going there for almost 2 years now, mostly for guests to experience the joys of Chelsea. Though it may be one of the nicer establishments in the area, the service is despicable and has downgraded as my visits continued. The waitress is usually slow, forgets orders (occurred multiple times), and has progressively become more rude with every visit. The last visit was the board breaker, as she instinctively questioned my guests order with a remark "Are you serious?". As we both sat there in disbelief, we were shocked she approached the situation that way. My guest knows the cuisine well, as we continued to order the food anyway. We continued our night not trying to make it awkward and decided to never go there again. I was embarrassed by this situation, and to subject my guest to this was not professional or polite. The food is the better side of Chelsea, but not saying much when compared to any other establishments. I can safely say that it is nothing worth spreading about, just a place in Chelsea that used to be a tourist spot. It isn't a hidden gem, it's just a piece of Mica.

My boyfriend and I love this place-- It's really excellent! The food is very tasty and healthy, all things are made super-fresh and it seems like they use really healthy fresh ingredients. I'm a vegetarian and my boyfriend is not, and we both have been 100% satisfied every time we go here. We used to love it as a take-out place, but recently, they expanded and have a beautiful dining room upstairs too..it's all hardwood and has cool, interesting lighting, it's very impressive. It has a truly pleasant atmosphere- well decorated and private feeling. I want to have a group dinner party here soon, it seems really good for that. I think they've expanded their menu, they have lots of interesting things on the menu, that seem pretty inspired and "fine-dining" creative. The tofu salad is really great-- that fresh, minty shredded cabbage salad. Their Pad Thai is what pad thai should be- it's not too sticky, it's just perfect (which is difficult to come by). We also like the spicy-basil eggplant dish (not sure what it's called, but it's also delicious) Also, they make incredible drinks (non-alcoholic, but i'm pretty sure it's b.y.o.b.)--try their green tea drink, or one of their fruity ice teas. Also, everyone who works there is really friendly and remembered us from a while before! When we moved out here from the city, we were really craving Asian food (or even any kind of interesting, healthy food). We would always just get the sushi at market basket and bring it home (which is very good actually). But we were so so happy to find this place. It's delicious and affordable and friendly: really quite a special restaurant, which can find in Chelsea. Check it out! You will be really happy you did.

I have been here several times now and have never been disappointed. Refer to this place to all my friends and family as a hidden Gem! Wow! Great food, great prices, and very friendly owners. The food is freshly prepared and the restaurant is very clean. I ordered the pad thai with chicken and shrimp. The chicken was tender, shrimp was cooked perfectly and the noodles weren't soggy or covered in oil like other places. I also had an order of shrimp spring rolls which were amazing. They were freshly prepared, the filling was crisp and everything just tasted very light and fresh. The menu has an extensive vegetarian selection as well as some decent curry options. This is not your typical hole in the wall in Chelsea, it's worth the drive but there aren't many seats.

So my update is 3 stars based on a combination of my 2 experiences here. I don't like to deal with places that have too many ridiculous restricions. One or two is fine but this place keeps really weird hours, isn't open on Sunday, charge a $2 dollar delivery fee on top of a $20 dollar minimum (which is ridiculous because most entrees are around $8) and after I drove all the way over there because they wont deliver to me any less than 3 entrees I was told they are cash only. Its Chelsea and I am not wandering around in the pouring rain so I can get soaked and mugged looking for cash. I doubt I will ever go back here which is unfortunate but I just feel they have too many things to keep me from going back.

I cant believe i drove by this place for soooo long! Went today with a friend, and the place had just opened. Truly a hidden gym. Walk up to the second floor, and the scene of the place for the location is amazing! Very elegant, great decor, and the door with the fence type barrior brings in a beautiful breeze. You almost forget your in Chelsea lol until you walk back out. Great selection in the menu. I ended up getting the pho with beef, which was a great soup and huge! I felt I had offended the establishment when I couldnt finish it. The appetizer was fresh shrimp spring rolls. Ive never tried something with so much texture, and layers of flavor, and the side sauce which had a somewhat peanut butter taste to it added to the flavor. Overall great meal, and amazing price. What I'm even happier to see is, there are more and more hidden gems like this slowly popping up. Its about time these diverse flavors and quality of food is making its way out of Boston into our kneck of the woods. Ill enjoy the many check ins here in the future.

So, grading this on a curve just a little because it's in Chelsea, but, Fusion Foods is fabulous. Seriously. We just had dinner in the new dining room - they really did a great job with the renovations. It's comfortable and cozy, but still sophisticated. And the food is fabulous. I had the Vietnamese hot and sour soup - fanastically flavorful and the perfect level of spiciness, and the spicy udon noodles with tofu and vegetables. Big portions, great prices and really yummy food. Awesome. My hubby had the tom yum with tofu (also great) and the coco curry with tofus (again, really tasty). This place seriously makes living in Chelsea way cooler. Everything we've eaten so far has been excellent. We plan to single-handedly keep this place in business.

It was VERY yummy...The first time I ordered the chicken basil rice box , garlic wings and spring rolls which were good...the sauce could use a bit more kick but overall I'm a fan. The second time around I ordered the tofu pad thai and it was just how I liked it. I'm def a satisfied client who plans on returning...especially when they start making the SALSAVICHE. ;o)

Talk about diamond in the rough when you walk upstairs it's like your in a whole different time zone I've only been here twice and both times the food exceeded my expectations the salmon was perfect and the lunch size is a perfect portion at a good price cucumber in the water nice touch! The only reason I gave four stars was because they don't take credit card which nowadays is very inconvenient but besides that thumbs up!

Haven't been to the recently renovated dining area, but it looks like it's going to be great. Planning on gathering a large group because from trying their spring rolls, turkey turnovers and smoothies, I know their entrees will be amazing. I went back after my first visit for a second lychee smoothie w tapioca pearls! Simply amazing. It's right down the street from where I live and the best part? Locally owned. The service was as good as it gets. Such friendly service and as much as I disagree with the working the Globe used with Fusion Food's picture: "More Immigrants turn to business ownership" I love that this represents the culture, variety and spice that Chelsea has to offer. I'm most definitely a fan and recommend it to anyone who isn't "afraid" or turned off by Chelsea. Nobody needs judgmental people around these parts. Go eat at BK or McDonald's if youre not into authentic, healthy, tasty cuisine served with a genuine smile of gratitude for your business and for venturing out and trying new things.

The food was good, and the place is definately nice. However, I was surprised with all the positive reviews about their service. I believe the owner was our server, and she was not at all friendly. In fact she seemed to have an attitude when we asked about dessert. She did not check up on us and we had to ask for water twice. I may give this place another try and will certainly recommend IF the service is better.

Stopped in and had the Chicken basil wrap and some spring rolls. It was ok and glad to see a vietnamese place in Chelsea. The girl Alyssa is a sweetheart and may be the owner!! I will give it another shot.

This little jewel is just indeed that...a true Gem hidden in the town of Chelsea. My husband and I were aching for some junky Chinese food one night and went to Yummy Teriyaki right across the street from Fusion Foods. We were waiting on our take-out and spotted Fusion. We walked in and took a take-out menu and I ordered delivery tonight. This stuff was SO GOOD I had to jump on here and write a review. I ordered the Fall Rolls which had taro in them (LOVE IT!) with a super yummy ginger soy dipping sauce. For the entree I ordered the Sauteed Coconut Curry Lemongrass Chicken...WOW! The flavor was just indescribable..so I will use OhMaGosh...work? There was lots of lettuce surrounding the chicken and mound of rice. I found out why; the flavor was so strong and great that the lettuce helped cool down your crazy hyperactive on curry-high tongue. The young coconut smoothie with pearls was a cool refreshing wrap-up to the amazing dinner I just had. I will definitely be getting take-out from here again. So fresh and healthy and YUMMMMMM!!!

Was in Chelsea and wanted a quick cheap bite. Saw FF's on yelp and off I went. Got the Basil Thai Chx. Delicious. Wish I lived closer. Will definitely stop back next time I go to the Restaurant Depot.

Been coming here for weeks now and loving it everytime I get a chance to stop by. Their food is delicious and very different for Chelsea. They deliver great quality of food and have the best customer service, making you feel right at home. As written in other reviews they serve great AUTHENTIC Vietnamese and Thai food. Bringing a little bit of Boston to a small neighbor. The smoothies here are to die for. Their avocado smoothie with the tapioca pearls is awesome! The pearls are soft and chewy. The food is prepared pleasing to the eyes and is mouthwatering. The menu here is concise, giving you a peace of mind when choosing something that isn't so overwelming. For a small business starting out during the recession, I believe having a minimum of only $15 and an average delivery fee is standard, so Ashley grow up and stop complaining! A heads up is that they only accept cash, but there is an ATM 3 doors down so it's a little stop before you enter. Having this place here saves me time from communting to Boston and starving!
