Solid mezze platter. Friendly folks in a plain but clean environment. Quick service. Nice felafel, the hummus honestly was a bit off ... not smooth enough (needed olive oil?). nice takhina.

I have lived down the street from Andres for almost 3 years now.. so I know the place pretty well (have eaten here at least over a dozen times). It's nothing extraordinary in the South End, but has always come through for me when a strong meat craving hits.. and is traditionally my go-to on those "gotta-have-meat-man this day sucked" type of days.. MUST TRY: - KC Burger - is essential a ground up burger into small bits with feta cheese served on a roll. I always add extra tomatoes and jalapenos to mine - which makes it fireeee. - Their Ice cream/frozen yogurt thing? I forget which it is.. but it's DAMN GOOD! Get this with any of the toppings! - Hear their veggie burger (a more recent addition to the menu) is pretty good and worth trying. It's pretty cool that they let you order on the phone, and you can go in for pick-up pretty much within 10 mins and have it ready. Friendly, efficient, and satisfying!

I ordered a small fries which was only half full, compare to the past. Was told that they changed and downgrade all their sizes two weeks ago, yet the prices are the same.

Had an Italian sandwich, which came with literally one slice of each meat inside (pepperoni might have been two slices). I've had my share of italian subs in the past, both from businesses and my own kitchen, but this takes the prize for the skimpiest meat portions. I've seen some restaurants take out the insides of the bread to stuff stacks of the cold cut meats, but you don't have to expect that here. After one bite out of the sandwich, the bread:meat:bread ratio was something like 5:1:5. This was the saddest Italian sub I've ever seen.

For many years Andre's has been a staple of the BU Med campus. It used to be a rather run-down little burger/wrap joint, but the current owners (the last few years) have really renovated it nicely and improved the recipes a lot! They even have food challenges for anyone crazy enough to do that! (I scored second place out of 10 contestants eating Greek chicken wraps)--good god are their wraps humongous! Today I greatly enjoyed their Christo Avacado burger, which had swiss, guacamole, mayonnaise, and sautéed onions, along with their delicious sweet potato fries! Thanks Andre's, for keepin' it real.

This place is fast and convenient for lunch. The portions are big and the prices are pretty good. You can call in your order or order there, but they definitely move quickly to get the food out ASAP. I had the Parsia Shawarma and I could only finish half of it for lunch. I ended up saving the other half for later. The wrap itself was too dry and hard for my liking, but the ingredients inside were fresh. I thought it lacked a little flavor but everything tasted fresh. For the convenience, price and portion, it's definitely a solid lunch spot.

The chicken had no flavor. Was literally taken out of the chicken container then tossed into the fryer. No seasoning at all. Don't ever buy the wings from this place. I gave them 2 stars because the hangover burrito is good. Check your bag before you leave because they never get your order right.

I love this place. This is my go-to place every time I do not bring lunch to work. The food is cheap here and big portions. It's usually two meals for me. All of the people that work here are extremely nice. It's own my a family who are the sweetest couple. They actually start to recognize you and know you by face. Cannot go wrong with any choice. They're all so good. I've tried a lot of their items. Chicken garlic club is great as well as the falafel with extra turnips. The frozen yogurt is also really good & worth getting after your meal.

I just visited this establishment tonight and ordered a burger, but, due dietary restrictions, requested that there be no cheese on the burger. However, despite my requests, the burger they gave me came with cheese and was undercooked. In short, this place is overpriced, overrated and they may or may not pay attention to your dietary restrictions and/or requests. I won't be going back.

It's still a run-down burger joint, but at least their food is fresh and the burgers are not too overcooked. Still, beggars can't be choosy: it's one of the few options close enough to the BU medical center.

Food: Their Burgers & Fries are as good as it gets. Service - It shows that they appreciate your business. Price: Very reasonable. All in all, my kind of place :) 7/9/2014: Update: Since my last review I ordered at least 15-20 times from Andre's. Its great food and 3 minutes walk from my office. Yesterday I ordered a Jalapeno burger from their specials and I was really disappointed. The meat was gross, tasted like soggy cardboard. I am taking a star away for that. I'll order again and if the food is better, they get their 5th star back.

Want great tasting fresh food quick with amazing customer service look no further. I was recommended to this place by a colleague. So whenever in the vicinity of Boston Medical Center this is my go to place. Their wraps are staple and come on fresh pita bread. A deal is offered with soda and chips for $1.25 extra.. They have delicious entrees and desserts.. Never been disappointed by this place. Their delivery service seems flawless as well and will tell you if they are running a little behind prior to confirming your order..

Will definitely be coming here again! Heard about this place when we had a meal catered by them at work. We get catered meals often at my job and I have to say the staff was all raving about that lunch (and the hummus...omg, so good). Anyway, I stopped in the other night for takeout on my way home, they were super fast and and the staff was friendly. We got a Greek salad, a wrap and the steak tips. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious even after a 20 min commute home. Can't say enough about this place.

I ordered a 12" buffalo chicken sub. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much food (and a bottle of water) I got for around six dollars. It came up fast, hot, and was delivered right to my table. I enjoyed the decor (burnished metal tables, white walls, some art prints hanging on a wall), but recognize that it might not please everyone. I'd definitely come here again. My only concern was that there was something in my sub that looked and tasted like a little chunk of bacon, which is fine by me, but makes me question their cross-contamination practices.

Went there today and tried a couple of the burgers. Excellent. Giant portions, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Staff was extremely attentive. Only wish I lived here as this would be my regular spot.

Nice take-out place with an owner with a heart of gold. He donates to BUMC's outreach van project for the homeless, works closely with many student organizations (either donating a portion of sales or catering lunch talks), and actually makes delicious food. Burgers with spicy fries, wraps, paninis, grilled chicken on Greek salad, the vegetarian platter, etc are all great. I haven't had a single bad meal at Andre's. They have great frozen yogurt that you can add whatever mix-ins you like. One order is enough to split between two people but feel guilt-free to eat it all by yourself if it's been one of those days. I wouldn't recommend ordering delivery, as it takes way too long. Either eat in or order pick-up. They just recently revamped the interior, so it is a nicer experience if you decide to eat there. They also do those crazy eating challenges, if you are interested. (Like eat four burgers with fries in one sitting and you get onto the wall of fame, etc.) I wonder when Adam Richman will come...

Working in the area, I have to say it is hard to find a place that I can consistently count on for convenient and delicious take-out. Andre's has filled this void for me. I believe they have come under new ownership and do not recall how they were before, but what I do know is that the Steak & Cheese sub they have going on there is legit. They also have some healthy options, because I can't eating Steak & Cheese everyday (although I'd like to). Friendly atmosphere, good food, plus, I also heard the new owners are from VT. Can't go wrong with that. A+ to these guys. Thanks!

I live in the area and stopped in a few days ago for a quick bite after work.....best take out I've had that I can remember! I got the steak tips with a Greek salad, the steak was cooked to my specification perfectly and the Greek salad was awesome. I have to admit I am a tough critic with Greek salads, it's my go to order, all the ingredients were fresh and the feta was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Andres cafe is definitely going to be one of my staples from now on!

  • Lindsey G.

Andre's is my new favorite lunch destination! It's super convenient to BMC, has friendly staff and is super fast, especially on a busy schedule. My go-to is the Christo Avocado burger with onion rings but I've also had the hummus and pita chips. I've seen the pita chips reviewed a couple times on here and no lie - they're the best!

Very please with my first visit. Nice little shop, deli style place. The place was clean and organized. The tables and chairs look fairly new. Fairly simple menu with a lot of good options. Everything from subs to wraps to entrees. Also available are salads. I went with the Vito Burrito. Much to my surprise, it was large and filled. The prices are reasonable. I think my burrito was worth its price, $8.50. The service was good, I was greeted and since I ate in, the food was delivered I me at my table, even brought me napkins. The burrito delicious, freshly made to order. Overall, if I'm in the area, I will be back. I give it 5 for cleanliness, good food, and good service.

I ordered a Mark 4 chicken panini (chicken, cheddar cheese, bacon, tomato) with ranch dressing. It came without the cheese or the ranch dressing. I can maybe understand forgetting the ranch, but how can you forget to put cheese on panini??? That's pretty much the whole point of a panini, the melted cheese. Otherwise its just a sub with a toasted roll. What I ended up with was a dry chicken sub on a dry toasted sub roll. Clearly just no effort or thought put in by the person who made it, very disappointing.

  • Rakeem C.

I order the 12" steak and cheese on their menu. They sent me a steak and cheese but the meat was fatty and hard to chew. I had a good sub from them before, so I tried to give it another chance, but this time I had to spit up my food 3 times after trying to eat the sub I so desperately wanted. Disappointed.

Nice falafel and salad platter. Impressive menu. Lots of interesting options to try here. Their seasoned fries are nice, but it's fried. The linguini marinara was ok. Not too awesome. Service was really nice and honest.

We needed someone to cater a weekend's worth of lunches for our non-profit's training in the South End, and we kept finding catering that was way out of our price range. Thanks to Yelp, I found Andre's and we are so glad we did! Not only did they open up on a Sunday to cook lunch for us, but they delivered it in an incredibly timely and friendly fashion. The pizza was great- and they made sure to meet all of our dietary needs (even making sure our pepper allergy was well taken care of, which is tough to do with pizza), and the sandwiches and salads spot on. In fact, we're using them again for another training coming up shortly! Oh, and they're super responsive via email.

Boy, do these guys know customer service! They not only made all of my favorites at lightening speed last night, but they tested out a potential new menu item on me, on the house! Its nice to know that little cafes like this exist: great food, great employees, and an overall well run ship. Thank you Andre's!!

Why this place has amazing reviews is beyond me... decent quick unhealthy food have gotten: grilled chicken fingers--gross Greek salad w chicken--mediocre froyo--good but when is froyo ever bad? service--friendly! hence the two stars instead of just one. This place is mediocre at best. Not sure what all the rave is about. Defintely NOT new American food not even sure why they call it that in the yelp description. Don't come here looking for local or farm to table anything as I've never seen or heard from anyone about the quality or location of any of their food products. Not trying to be harsh but that's my two cents. Go to blunch instead. It's a pinch more expensive but well worth it--more locally sourced ingredients and everything is made in house.

This place is pretty solid. Great prices, the wraps are really good, you always get a ton of food. The sweet potato fries are fantastic. Definitely a fast good place in an area that needs it.

Just stumbled into this place, which is on my new block in the South End. Hole in the wall joint, which I've walked by 4-5 times by now, and always noticed people in eating and waiting in line for food in there. I stopped in, and it almost looks like a cross between a takeout joint and a stripped-down public high school classroom. Hot pink post it notes across the soda fridge with hand written prices. The menu board is a C student's science fair ink-jet foldout, but don't let that take away from the varied and all-delicious sounding menu. There's "Andre's Wall" in the back, with home-printed pictures of winners of this challenge they have there (eat 4 roll-up subs and fries in 45 minutes). But while in line with all the surgeons, doctors, urban professionals and the like of the area, I heard at least 4 different groups of people tell someone how good the food is. Place has been there for ages, has patron and employee named sandwiches on the menu, first timers from the neighborhood get a free banana or oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. In short: they've just gained a new fan.

I have been to Andre's twice- it's about a half a mile from my work. I took co-workers there because I loved it so much the first time I went. I got a spinach salad. This time I got a greek salad with grilled chicken and a side of eggplant. Everything was so good- and such large portions. I love that they have pita chips for you to munch on when you are waiting and the staff is so friendly and so thankful that you chose to go there for lunch. I wanted to try the frozen yogurt but they were waiting for a shipment that afternoon. All in all I would definitely recommend it- lots of options and lots of healthy options for an inexpensive price- with great quality.

Being a student in the area, I come here all the time. Their burgers are easily top 3 in town - flavorful and greasy, dine in or else your bun will get soggy! Fries are great, not the generic kind but kind of like crispy thick burger king fries (true fry aficionados will know what i mean). Their wraps are great (big) also and while I havent tried anything else (if it aint broken why fix it), my friends all have their own favorites here. Dont pass this place by, a true hidden gem for a quick burger fix.

Andre's is quickly turning into my go to place after gym when im looking for a huge meal. The Daniel Hwang Burger reminds me of the bacon western cheeseburger from Carls Jr on steroids. Its super juicy when you get it medium rare...just dont get it to go. I found out that when you eat it there its a completely different burger. That beast needs to breathe and when you take it to go it ends up getting a bit soggy.

HIDDEN GEM ALERT! Located right across from Boston Medical, this hole-in-the wall's got it all, a great menu, dirt cheap prices (got a sandwich + bottle of soda for $8.15), quick turnaround (3 min wait with 3 others in line) and killer food. I had the Chicken Mozzerella Panini, an apparent "local favorite" according to the menu. I've paid double for the same thing at different restaurants and only gotten half the quality. The homemade pesto was awesome, and the mozzerella and tomatoes were fresh. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the bread was buttery and crispy. Just completely freakin' awesome. And I'm definitely coming back to try out some of the half-pound burgers and the other chicken-avocado sandwich concotions.

I went to Andre's for the first time yesterday after doing some shopping with a friend. I got a Garlic Chicken roll-up, and it was outstanding. The portion was incredibly generous, and by that I mean, it was the biggest wrap I've ever seen. The food was cheap, delicious and there was a lot of it. My only regret: not getting the fro-yo.

Best food on the go !!! nothing beats Andres when it comes to fast healthy food. their dishes are delicious and the portions are big. I wouldnt mind eating there everyday . the people there are very nice and friendly. speak multiple languages and are welcoming always. they make me feel like family every time i walk in. their frozen yogurt is great , i usually get plain with coconut or strawberry cheesecake . both are equally delicious. if you get the falafel make sure u ask for extra taheni sauce, cause the rollup can be a little dry sometimes. the only problem is the limited space, sometimes around lunch it can get a little crowded, but on a nice day its not a problem cause there are benches across the street where u can sit and enjoy their great food. i highly recommend this place, try it and if u dont love it ur dinner is on me

Andre's has a great selection of sandwiches, wraps, soups, etc and everything I've had there was great! My favorite is the chicken, mozzarella and tomato panini. Their fries also look delicious - I'll have to try them next time. The staff are very friendly, and the owner Karim is extremely generous. They recently helped with a fundraiser for an organization at BU that supports the homeless, as well as donating a lot of food for us to distribute. Great place for lunch or dinner, and certainly an asset to the community.

3.75 stars. This place is quickly becoming my go-to dinner spot between classes. My usual is the Greek salad, which is a ginormous plate of fresh goodness for under $6... dressing is on the side (and very generous), feta is fresh and plentiful, lettuce is always crisp, and you get a side of pita (which is lovely dipped into your leftover dressing, if you have any). I like getting it topped with the grilled chicken, which is juicy and nicely marinaded (pretty salty, but in a good way IMO). For those Greek salad purists, the olives seem to be marinated black rather than kalamatas (I may be wrong on this), and there's no onions, both adjustments which I really enjoy but those of you expecting the norm might not. I never used to be a Greek salad fan because of that, plus I only recently got into Feta, and it actually was a side Greek salad that came with a wrap I got a while ago here that turned me into a Greek salad fan (seems to be quite a theme with my reviews, hmm...). Service is usually pretty brusque and not very friendly, but that's pretty much expected for a take-out joint like this. Generally you get your food pretty quickly if they're not busy. Can't wait to try the froyo, but sadly they're closed sort of early (9 PM?) so no late night frozen fix for me...

O..M..G...Absolutely love Andres. I am from out of town and was staying at the nearby Hampton Inn. After looking on yelp for surrounding restaurants, this one seemed to be the best be in the area. Ordered for delivery twice and each time was better than the next. Easy to order online and the menu is detailed enough for someone who's never eaten there before to decide what to get. The first time, I choose the "create your own dinner" plate-I choose the hummus, tabouli and falafel. It came with pita, tahini and a small salad. WAY too much food (not a bad thing) but had no fridge to store the leftovers in. Still-the hummus was some of the best I've ever had. Falafel patties are huge and also delicious. Second delivery, I tried one of their pannini's-the Tomato/Mozzarella with pesto. My sister got the falafel wrap which was easily a meal for two. We also got a side order of their homemade pita chips ($1.50 with enough to last us for DAYS) and a side of hummus. Seriously amazing food, friendly service and quick (free) delivery if your order is over $10. Now, I actually should go and eat AT the place. Although the food arrived quickly, I can imagine it must be even better when it's served fresh in front of you. Yaaaay for Andres for saving me from the plethora of fast food and shady places that seem to be in this 'hood!

This! Boujie restaurant that don't deliver in Roxbury which is around the corner from them but because they are a " so called high class" on crackhead city harrison avenue they can't be seen deliverying to Roxbury never will eat there again yuck. The workers are loud and obnoxious Ha you call that a upscale environment I call it ghetto

Total hole-in-the-wall. The place has gotten a facelift though, and looks kind of cute now. What makes it awesome: - friendly workers - really hot, fresh, good food made to order - giant portions - cheap (prices have gone up in recent years, but still amazing bang for your buck). My favorites: - Falafel rollup - Shawarma rollup - FRIES: A small to-go will get you an overflowing box of medium-cut, seasoned fries. Nice potato inside to crispy outside ratio. Always hot and fresh (Don't burn yourself!). - Simple sandwich, grilled (e.g. turkey + cheese) - Fro-yo with mix-ins (not the tangy kind of froyo): Start with vanilla or chocolate base, and create your own flavor. Mix-ins range from fresh fruit to candy. My friend has also sworn by their burgers - seasoned and juicy. Their plates look awesome.

This is a great little restaurant near BMC. The staff is very friendly and curteous. Karim, the owner, is a wonderful businessman and a gentlemen. He's always making sure that people get the best service possible and leave happy. The wraps are good, especially the lebanese chicken. I usually get the cheeseburger, because the patty is perfect. They have a 3 wrap challenge. If your hungry, give it a shot. If you lose you'll still get your pic on the website as a favorite customer.

This was a rare find. Plastic forks and knives but the food was outstanding. We had beef tips and a speciality burger. I also tried the dessert. Tasty, would come again. Very reasonable.

Oh. Em. Gee. You guys, order from Andre's - they are amazing! The price is right and their food is incredibly fresh, flavorful and delicious! The delivery was pretty quick and everything was prepared neatly. I ordered the spinach pie, which comes with a Greek salad, some pita bread and hummus and it is seriously the best I've ever had. The portion is big enough to be a meal in itself. Silly me, I thought it was going to be a side-sized portion. I also ordered the falafel roll-up and it is ginormous. Like, seriously, I could only eat a third of it right now and will have some for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. EPICALLY HUGE. The falafel is so perfect and there's so much of it! The spices and flavors are really the best I've ever had. The hummus, too, is of really high quality and their pita bread is still warm... Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Andre's. If you order from their website, you get 10% off, too! A great deal!

Andre's still has the benefit of the doubt considering the many great reviews, but the teriyaki chicken salad left much to be desired. The teriyaki was absolutely DISGUSTING and the saltiness killed the entire salad, I was pretty darn hungry and couldn't even get myself to finish it... The roasted eggplant wasn't bad though and went well with the Syrian bread. I'll give these guys one more shot later...

Great little restaurant/cafe right near BMC. They have delicious Mediterranean wraps, sandwiches, and plates for very reasonable prices. They have a few other options, but I've never tried them. The falafels are great! They have frozen yogurt and a bunch of different toppings. Everyone that works there is super nice and the place is INCREDIBLY clean. They deliver too! Worth of stop if you are in the area.

Solid. After no lunch and almost failing asleep like 20 times in a biostatistics class, I had the weirdest craving for frozen yogurt. Google map search led me to Andre's. Well, first, it led me in the screen door of their kitchen. This didn't seem to phase them, which was nice. I like to skip over public embarrassment when I can. When I came in the correct entrance, the place didn't look like much. Then I looked at the menu. They had me at "sweet potato fries." Yes. Don't let them get cold or the grease sticks them together and you kind of realize, wow, this was FRIED...Also, you might want to share. They gave me large enough portions that I seriously considered whether they had a vendetta to fatten me up. But I think the real motive was just generosity...and that's pretty nice, isn't it?

I love Andre's! Froyo, sandwiches, roll-ups, salads, entrees--they have everything! I am a huge fan of their chicken ceasar salad roll-ups. But BEWARE, you will be in a food coma and it will be awesome.

Food is great, but be careful about using their online ordering system. We waited over an hour to learn that the order never went through. Fortunately, the owner has been very diligent in trying to rectify the issue and has gone above and beyond in trying to make sure he doesn't lose us as customers. I would recommend just calling them to order some of their delicious and (for takeout) healthy food!

Nice clean restaurant. The owners are very good. Vast menu. Good tasting food. I'd say it's a good daily lunch stop. Try the beef shwarma over the gyro... for now.

Going to school here in the South End, you're pretty limited on the number of good places to eat on a student budget and quickness of service. Yes the lunch rush can be hectic but for the copious amounts of good food they serve it's well worth the short wait. The place is kept clean by the new owner and was recently renovated, which was an upgrade to what it looked like before. Definitely going back to Andre's cafe. Food Recommendations: - Chicken/Beef Shawarma Greek Salad - The chicken/beef is juicy and not overcooked and goes well with the Greek Salad. - Falafel Wrap - Large falafels with pickled turnip and veggies in a wrap. - Sweet Potato Fries - definitely a must...just don't let them get cold. - Frozen Yogurt - for $3 you get a large amount (enough to share between two people) of frozen yogurt. You can add toppings if you want. I usually get vanilla frozen yogurt with blueberries and granola.

Good stuff! Peeps from my office and I ordered from here after realizing we'd be staying late at work. I was anxious to try their falafel which was really quality. I had the falafel dinner which was huge. There were four large balls of falafel, a Greek salad, lots of delicious slightly spicy French fries and a piece of Syrian bread. This whole thing sustained me for three, count them, three meals. Delish! The delivery was a bit late so the fries were a tad cold but I was more than satisfied with the food and the value for the quantity. We will definitely be ordering from here again. I can't wait to try the burger.

Andre's Cafe is a small, little restaurant across the street from the BMC. Everyone inside is super nice, helpful, and friendly, and the owner is awesome. They seem intent on making sure everyone is happy. The location is small, and there are a few tables, but not much room to sit. I have only really ordered the hummus wrap, the spicy french fries, and the sweet potato fries. The wrap is always good, a very large portion, and the hummus is good. Its also pretty cheap (like $6) It's hard to screw it up, and they do a good job with it. The spicy fries are really good, and come in 2 sizes. The reg. will almost fill you, and the large is HUGE. Almost a full meal. The sweet potato fries also come in the same 2 sizes and are REALLY good. They have these challenges now on the wall where, if you eat certain amount, you get free food and stuff. It's interesting. So, overall, good food, fairly cheap, and awesome staff. I recommend you check it out for lunch.

Vegetarians who live near, work at or visit folks in Boston Medical Center - this IS the place to stop for good take out - every burger special on the board is also available made with a decent quality veggie burger- I order mine well done & no one bats an eye. Falafel is worth sharing and sweet potato fries will be appreciated by your coworkers & colleagues & whoever your visiting at the hospital (if they can eat fried foods). fast, friendly, affordable --YAY!

As a Boston U med student, I often have the need to get a quick munch on without going to far. I always knew Andre's was an option, and I went there a few times and was always very satisfied with what I got. I've had a few of their wraps, and a few of their burgers and fries. The portions are very very substantial, so you won't ever leave hungry, that's for sure. The one sad thing about the place was that it was a bit dinky. You kinda just wanted to get your food and get out, so I always wished that would change. My wish was granted. A few weeks ago, Andre's went under new ownership and my what a difference new blood makes. Just walking up to the place, not suspecting much and only wanting a nice big salad with chicken, the first thing I noticed was that they repainted the outside a very fresh white. And wow the inside. Totally repainted, sweet light fixtures, new tables and chairs, and some pretty damn cool looking paintings. They also remade the visible menu, but kept the same items (which is a good thing, believe me, especially the burgers) Anyways, the new owner is a really nice guy, I got to meet him since he was manning the register and talking everyone up. So help this first-time restaurant owner out and check out Andre's! Bang-For-Buck 8/10

Great food, very friendly service. Also -- all the portions are HUGE. Definitely get the frozen yogurt!

generous portions...friendly service...recommend the greek chicken wrap OK this is an update...I just had a burger there the other day and it was surprisingly good. You wouldn't expect a place that specializes in serving Mediterrenean wraps to make a burger so good but you'll be surprised. It's huge and the meat is good quality. The fries were also very good. I gave it an extra star now. The burger is like $5-6 now but I was looking online and it used to be $3! If the same burger I had was $3, I could eat there every day. edit: I had a burger there the other day and it was nowhere near as good as my previous one. It was so severely undercooked I couldn't eat it all. Also, the patty was not thick like before but flat and literally twice the size of the bun! You lose a star for that one, Andre.

Andre's never disappoints. The South End has a severe lack of cheap, healthy lunch options, so as a South End resident, I am forever grateful that Andre's exists. I almost always order the Greek Chicken salad (comes with plenty of feta, black olives, juicy chicken, cucumbers and tomatoes), but everything they serve is consistently delicious. The staff is friendly, and the food is cheap, won't clog your arteries, and always satisfying.

Get the Yogurt. Hot days were created so that you could enjoy Andre's Yogurt on the Talbot Green on the BU Med Campus.

Their avacado bacon burger was one of the best burgers I've had in Boston, its cheap too. The wings are great, and there's free cookies! The evening delivery guy is a class act.

found this through a friend who's a resident at BMC. if in the area and like peanut butter frozen yoghurt, it's here and it's good. no sweetness just pure nut.

Yum. Great little place with frozen yogurt that you'd swear is ice cream. Tasty fries, friendly folks, very fresh.

Great to see Andre's Cafe brought their great food to Dorchester and opened up Fiskie's at Harbro Point on the Bay. Same owner and of course same great food.

Since it's located across the street from the hospital, most of Andre's patrons are medical workers who stop over for a quick, cheap lunch. Andre's has a moderate selection of Middle Eastern-inspired sandwiches and American classics. The sandwiches are generous in size and of decent quality. Orders are typically ready within 15 minutes for a small party. There are a few uncomfortable cramped tables in the restaurant, but usually it's not a problem if you want to sit.

There aren't many options for ordering lunch in the South End. I am fortunate enough to be within the 1 mile radius of Andre's delivery service which I have been known to take advantage of several days in a row. I am new to this place but sooo happy I have found it because so far everything I've tried has been great. The marinade they use on the chicken in the Greek salad is really good. I have also had the chicken and vegetable soup which is home made and very tasty and healthy. The chicken ceasar wrap was generous and they surprised me with a home made chocolate chip cookie in my last delivery - also yummy. Obviously cannot say enough good things about this place!

Nice little cafe on Harrison Ave. Love the option to get grilled chicken fingers as oppose to fried! Service was very friendly and fast enough. Will def go again! :-)

AWESOME! The first place I found in the Boston/South End/Roxbury neighborhood that serves delicious FROZEN YOGART! My second favorite thing here are the spicy fries, yum! This place has that nice family run and operated feel. I've met the owner on more than one occasion because he works right along side his staff serving customers. This is a great lunch spot and takeout place when you're on the go! Literally across the street from the Boston Medical Center. If you're in the area, i highly recommend you stop in!

I have been eating here for 2 years and I really love this place, especially the healthy Mediterranean style food. The staff are also really friendly.

A definite find! Andre's is five stars all around. Relatively inexpensive for the area, with fantastic traditional middle eastern foods as well as just as good american options, veggie dishes, and frozen yogurt! This isn't one of those ethnic restaurants that put some half assed grilled cheese on the menu to placate your xenophobic friends- everything they offer is made well. They recently renovated. The inside is small but tasteful, clean, and charming. It's even quiet given the busy hospital traffic right outside. They family that owns the business is personable, and always willing to substitute items or work with dietary restrictions. Quick, good, friendly service with quality food.

My favorite place to go for lunch. Huge burgers and huge roll-ups. They like to be generous with their servings. I usually get the chicken shwarma roll-up or falafel roll-up. Occasionally I get the mushroom burger which, again, is huge. The owner is really nice and is always present greeting customers. He has really done a good job of upgrading the place. Now they have these challenges and specials deals. You can't go wrong and items are relatively cheap.

Great place! Quick and friendly service always. Wraps are awesome and the frozen yogurt is good....cinnamon coconut is my favorite combo. Very fair prices too. Excellent low key place. Good work!

I love Andre's Cafe! I work at Boston Medical Center every so often and I'm always happy when I can grab a meal at Andre's on break. Being a bit of a picky vegetarian, I don't often truly enjoy a salad.. but Andre's knows how to make a salad! First of all, they're gigantic-- full of fresh dark green lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, feta cheese. FRESH is the keyword here. I'll usually order some of their delicious falafel, too. Always steaming warm and served with tahini. Best falafel, hummus, and greek salad I've ever had. GET THE HUMMUS. FREE WI-FI. If you spend $10 or more, you get a free homemade chocolate chip cookie (again, gigantic) or a piece of fruit if you want to go the more healthy route (boring). The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I've been telling the owner forever that I'll get around to writing a review on Yelp since I love Andre's so much and I finally got around to it. The owner always goes out of his way to make sure you have a positive experience. Definitely check out Andre's Cafe. I can't vouch for the non-vegetarian food here, but all of my coworkers rave about the burgers!

Wow, after 4 years I can't believe that I haven't put in a review yet. Andre's is pretty much the go-to catering place for any event that our department has....and the food is always really good. So good, in fact, that I pop in here for non-department food ventures, woo! The spreads & dolmas are super tasty, the wraps are never soggy AND the portions are no joke. They're also really good about special orders; I have never and any problems with my "Can you make sure there's no cheese? Or any dairy, really? Or..." orders. Thumbs up, Andre's!

Andre's Cafe is a real home-run. The food is delicious and the prices are generous. Clean restaurant, neat atmosphere, and a genuine staff. Make a point of checking it out whenever you're in the area (and even if you're not!)

The food here is always delicious. I've gotten several different salads and wraps and they're made well with good portion sizes. Only draw backs are that it's very hard to find parking and it's a little pricey. The people that work in there are very nice!

In the midst of "restaurant row" and higher priced places like Toro, Coppa, Stella (which are all great) sometimes a South End resident needs a quick bite to bring back to their apartment. First of all the owner, Mr. Kanaan, is a very nice guy. He loves his customers, treats them with respect and knows how to a run a business the right way. Second, You really can't go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu- but make sure you know there is a crispy chicken option on any wrap with chicken otherwise it comes with grilled chicken. Its fresh, the homemade pita chips are unreal, and its clean. I love going here with my friends for lunch- greek salad wrap/buffalo chicken wrap are great. Make sure to get the sweet potato fries!!!

I am gluten-free as well as some other dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. I got the beef schwarma platter and made a bunch of adjustments. They were nice about it and the food hit the spot. Yum! My friend got the veggie platter and she wasn't a big fan of the falafel.. but the rest was good.

Hey, it's on Harrison Avenue across from a hospital. It doesn't have to be real high-end to get my votes. They have good tuna melts (with BACON!) and large-sized fries. The fries themselves aren't really my style - too big and textured on the outside, but they were plentiful and relatively cheap. My co-worker's fallafel was huge - like large enough to illicit a couple of bad euphemistic jokes - and apparently pretty tasty. I don't get over here as much as I could, because I'm not a huge fan of take-out tuna melts, but I'm sure there's something else I could order, if necessary.

I'm on the medical campus all the time so this has become one of my regular places. I had to bump them from four stars to five. They are consistent in being clean, friendly, affordable, and most importantly - delicious! Their staff is great, and the owner is awesome, so incredibly nice. I've tried a bunch of things on the menu, I have my favorites, but everything I've had has been good. Favorites are the garlic chicken club wrap, chicken and mozzarella panini. Mmm. Also, the spicy fries and sweet potato fries. Sure there isn't a lot of seating when it's busy, but it's so worth it. There's always a daily special and they work hard to make sure every customer gets what they ask for. Great place. Love it.

Great for a quick, to-go lunch. I've had both the falafel and the chicken shawarma roll-ups, both are good though the falafel was a tad on the dry side - I'd ask for extra tahini if I got it again. Big bonus is the 10% discount or free cookie for BMC employees. I'll definitely be back!

Their burgers are GIGANTIC. And so delicious! They must be fresh, because I don't think any store-bought patties could taste that good. I love their mushroom and swiss burger..full of fatty goodness! But don't worry, the hospital is right across the street. Good wraps too.

Andre's makes consistent good food...something that is lacking around the south end. The best thing on the menu is the cheeseburger and fries...the burger is big, juicy, and cheap..the fries are those perfect seasoned crunchy fries that if you had 3 plates you would eat them because they're in front of you. I've had about 4 different wraps and they all have been excellent, so I think if you order it, it will be good. For the salad lover, they are huge portions and very tastey. The griled Cx sandwich is awesome and another huge size. No fountain drinks but one can overlook that. Andre's has been the only consistent in this dental students inconsistent life.

Come here for their huge juicy burgers! any kind of burger will do! I've actually ordered only burgers from them, but... it's really good! I've actually not had better burgers from anywhere else... even full sit down restaurants aren't as good as Andre's Cafe!

Extremely reasonably priced wraps and generous portions which work great for sharing especially if you want your own cup of custom blended frozen yogurt. The range of add ins to the frozen yogurt isn't as extensive as Angora's or Ankara's, but it does the job. They also have a nice selection of vegetarian options, falafel that's hot, light brown and crisp on the outside and make delicious pita chips on the premises. Conveniently located near the BU Medical Campus and Boston Medical, it's a three minute walk or five minute walk-- on crutches.

I have recently stumbled upon this hidden jewell in the South End, near BMC. This small, clean, incredibly welcoming restaurant has food for everyone's palate! It's fresh, it's tasty and the service rocks! While their roll-ups/wraps are awesome, their salads and shwarma fantastic, and their homemade chips simply addictive, it is their hamburgers that prompted me to write this review. I just finished the tastiest, most delicious hamburger I have ever consumed...and I eat a lot of hamburgers. It was juicy, perfectly cooked, well seasoned and topped with some of the freshest produce I have seen/tasted. Not sure what seasonings they put in those heaping patties, but I'd like that recipe! The burger was busting at the seams...I almost had to fork and knife it in order to successfully consume it all. Furthermore, the service is incredibly friendly. The staff is outgoing and professional. They cook your food quickly and prices are incredibly reasonable! This place is awesome and should be on the top of anyone's list....even if you live or work no where near the restaurant!

Andre's has a great selection of Middle Eastern food to choose from. I've tried many of their wraps, and they have all been great. The food is priced right and the portions are huge (enough to save half for later). The seating area could be much more inviting (I've never stayed - always bringing my food home with me or to the park across the street for a picnic). Overall Andre's is very good - quick, cheap, filling, and delicious.

Great little place for hungry Boston Medical staffers, patients, and students. I always got either the buffalo chicken wrap or the honey mustard chicken dinner (with rice, of course). Excellent and affordable. The portions for the dinner plates are especially big...I'm a fairly big eater and could barely finish it.
