We really like this place. The food is good and the staff is really nice We eat in and get take out pretty regularly. Love the Al Pastor burrito and the tacos must be good since my husband keeps ordering them. They recently expanded and added table service. It seems like they're still settling in with that, but we haven't had any real issue. Fountain (non-canned) sodas would be nice and they would make the business more money in the long run. I think part of what is cool about this place is seeing them expand and do well from their hard work. We like their food and we feel like we're cheering them on in a way. Hope they take off even more. Adding the table service feels like a big deal.

amazing food, great service, as authentic as you can ask for and reasonable prices. extremely friendly family owned business. anyone who doesn't love this place has a serious mental illness or broken taste buds :-)

Love this place. They expanded their space, so they now have table service. The place is spotless, the waitress was very friendly, and the food was great. I had a combo plate with an enchilada, tamale, rice, beans. Great tortilla chips and salsa. And a very good value, too!

Fresh, authentic, charming and delicious. This young couple has done an incredible job with this place. With each bite, you slip further across the Mexican border. The only thing missing are margaritas!

love, love, love this tacqueria. It's become a stand-by for us for take-out. Food is super clean but doesn't skimp on the authentic Mexican feel.

The best Mexican food around. Made with LOVE! Great people, atmosphere, everything is amazing. Thank you! This is the BEST restaurant in Ashland!!!!!

For the price of a burrito here you can't go wrong. Made fresh daily ingredients and the thing was huge. I go weekly and it is a much needed place in the Ashland area. The staff is so friendly and will make it any way you want

We enjoyed the food here. Food was made with fresh ingredients and was delicious. Great Salsa and chips. Staff is very friendly.

Yummy and authentic Mexican food! I have visited here a few times before for take-out, and was pleased to see that they had expanded into a 8-table dining room. We arrived at 1145am for lunch, and all the tables were filled by noon. Delicious chips and salsa (I chose medium and it was too hot for me) arrived immediately while we perused the menu. I had carne asada and my parents had chile relleno. All came with spicy (for me) rice and a choice of black or refried beans. The generous portions allowed us to bring much of it home. Glad to have this gem in the neighborhood!

Love this place. The food and service are great. Our family has tried many items on the menu and everything was perfect. Love their green salsa.

I'm so glad that I came across this place, thanks to Yelp. I'm from southern California and grew up on great Mexican food. Living in MA now for close to 15 years, I don't believe I've found a better place in the area. The staff is friendly, and everything I've ordered has been great!

  • Chris W.

My favorite Thai rest in the area closed so I decided to give this a try....glad I did it's very good. Based on the other Yelp reviews I had the Al Pastor and enjoyed it a lot. Want to return and give some of the other things a try. Wish they offered fish tacos. This past week the Boston Globe did a very favorable review, so I expect it will get even busier.

  • Josh L.

Excellent food and great prices. I highly recommend the Al Pastor burrito and the quesadillas. I loved this place before the new addition and think it's even better now. Also, the staff are incredibly helpful and nice. My third visit here the food took only slightly longer than expected and one of the managers not only apologized but gave me a free beverage. Great Mexican food!

  • Lissette B.

This is exquisite Mexican. The Chile Relleno is better than any I have had in Mexico!

    (5)
  • Tony B.

I LOVE this little gem! All the veggies, guac, and crispy taco shells are made fresh daily. They make a killer burrito, but I find myself going back to the pork taco and veggie quesadilla. =) The owners and staff are very friendly to boot. The best Mexican food I have found in the metro west area!

  • John D.

Just started going here a few weeks ago and I think I'm hooked! I've been going two - three times a week and have tried a bunch of wonderful new things. The tacos, burritos, tamales and everything else I've tried are simply fantastic. Truly authentic mexican food that is both delicious and affordable. Try the fish tacos! Awesome!

Fresh ingredients, great food, very reasonable prices. All around great place.

Excellent, authentic, fresh tasting Mexican. The staff is super friendly too!! A family favorite and hidden gem in Boston metrowest.

  • Laurie C.

What a little gem this is. A coworker recommended it, saying the food was simple, fresh and delicious. I've been twice for lunch, and happy each time. The place is simple, with a few tables and no frills. Each time I've been, the place was full. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The tamales, soft tacos, and chicken fajita salad were all wonderful. The chocoflan dessert is absolutely delicious - it is a moist chocolate cake with a layer of flan on the top, served with a drizzle of chocolate syrup and a dollop of whipped cream. I am looking forward to trying many more items on the menu.

  • Heather B.

Excellent, authentic food!! Prepared and served with skill, care and fresh ingredients. Just yesterday (5/19/14) they opened a dining room with table service and an expanded menu. The tamales are the best (I love the pork with green sauce). The owners really care about their customers and value each person who walks through the door. A very special place we are lucky to have so close to home.

  • Gina R.

I love this little place! My husband and I go there 2 or 3 times a month. The service is great and given with a friendly smile. The food is made right there fresh. The prices are great. Check this place out!

Another Texan here, I grew up eating Mexican food weekly and was really missing the real deal. This food makes me Happy, like dance in your chair happy. EVERYTHING I have tried I loved, which makes it really difficult to choose. My kids who hated Mexican food (only one or 2 other choices around) are total converts. Portions are generous, owners are sweethearts. This is a true family business you want to succeed. Here are some of my families favorites (ages 4-55) Nachos- no meat/ground beef/braised beef (all fantastic) Crispy tacos- I can only imagine that crack is as addictive as these Carnitas anything! Tamales!!!!! my favorite with verde sauce-good god these make me happy burritos mini flutas tostadas beans, rice, guac, salsa Other things I know I am forgetting that are fantastic. Go here, you will love it!! They are so nice and do such a good job

Ordered takeout from here with people from work because they had been to the Waltham location and raved about it. A little disappointed. I got the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. Asked for extra sour cream but it was just watery sauce drizzled on top. I expected a little cup on the side based on my experience at other Mexican restaurants. Everything tasted delicious but the chicken was too dry and the beans were soupy. Also, it was so hot that it burned a hole in the bottom of the container. Great because it was delivered hot but bad because it leaked everywhere. Did not feel well after eating. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because they are new and will definitely give it another shot once they've been there for a while.

This is the best Mexican restaurant, the side of Phoenix. The tacos here are excellent. Everything else seems to be as well.

  • Kelley C.

Great food. Always fresh and prepared to order. Service is excellent. Small place but very welcoming.

  • Paul E.

Finally, the first authentic Mexican place I have eaten at in Massachusetts. This place is tiny and mostly for take out. They are expanding to a full dining room in the very near future. The food is really authentic and flavorful. The service is very friendly and quick. The overall price is very low and you get a lot of food for the money. I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu.

  • Beatriz P.

Excellent food Authentic and Fresh all time. I love lengua tacos, quesadilla veggies, burrito campechano, Gorditas de carnitas or corrizo. All plates are a better option especially the Platos Fuertes 100% recommend!!!

  • Sasha B.

It just gets better. It's authentic, so if you're looking for enchiladas and rice & beans, head off to Aca-puke-o and the like. I stick to the tacos and they never disappoint. Tongue, pastor, braised beef all awesome. Or better off, order the special that is posted. It's sure not to disappoint. Yes the owners are the nicest people but the food speaks for itself.

    (5)
  • Steve P.

Got the 2 taco plate with refrained beans and rice. Fish soft taco was great. The asada crispy taco was good except that the steak was cubed and would have been better stripped. Would highly recommend this place. Super friendly. I'll eat in next time.

  • Mike L.

Stopped here the other night. I ordered the pollo tinga burrito and chorizo quesadillas. The food was amazing. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and accommodating. I will be returning to try some of the house specials, which come with multiple items. I would recommend this to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food at a very cheap price.

    (5)
  • Mike M.

A perfect combination of quality, cost, speed, and friendliness. I have gotten takeout about 6 times in the past month, trying different things every time, and have yet to be disappointed. Burritos are a good size and very tasty, the mini-floutas appetizer is great for either 1 or 2 people. Tacos are also good, get 2-3 depending on how hungry you are, 3 is probably the perfect amount. One of the best aspects (along with the super friendly owner) is that she makes her own hot sauce and has varying degrees of hot, with the last one I had was very hot and delicious. Such a great addition to the Ashland area.

  • Holly M.

This place is fantastIc! They are friendly, fast, clean and delicious! I love the poblano tamales, my husband loves their burritos and my son loves their quesadillas! We definitely recommend this place if you like fresh, yummy Mexican food.

  • John P.

Great food, fast service! I am so glad we went! Definitely telling everyone we know!

  • David N.

Mexico City serves the best burritos I have ever had. Their "Al Pastor" burrito with grilled pork and pineapple is amazing, and their chips are great too! You can't beat the price either. I order lunch from here nearly every day, and the staff are always cheerful and friendly! I promise, you won't be disappointed. No other burrito place that I have tried (and I have tried many! I love burritos!) comes close to Mexico City!

    (5)
  • Ruby J.

By far, the best burritos and tamales you'll ever have!! I'm pretty critical of mexican food since its my favorite and I've tried a lot of places, and this place is top notch! The staff is so nice. There's this one lady who works there (I think she's the owner) who is always an absolute delight and has great recommendations for new things to try. You can't beat the prices too. I wish they delivered, but maybe it's a good thing for me they don't (otherwise I would pig out on burritos every day!)

    (5)
  • Tina T.

really awesome food. I always go for the al pastor burrito or choritos sopa.

  • Cara S.

Really delicious, super friendly and fast, my new fave Mexican take out! Get the al pastor burrito - so good!!!

Absolutely fantastic. Great burritos made by family owned business and it shows. Highly recommended.

  • Marion M.

For people who have eaten in Mexico, you will recognize this as authentic Mexican food, Taqueria style. It is quick, made to order, nicely seasoned (they will go hot if you request it), great selection of options, and the owner is friendly and outgoing. She wants to please her customers and knows her stuff, so ask questions if you are not familiar with what you are trying. She even let me sample a new recipe she is working on. I only wish it was closer to my house so I could go there all the time! It would have been great to have a cold Mexican beer with my order, but that would be the advantage of takeout and having some cerveza on ice at home.

We made the scenic drive down to Ashland from West Roxbury because we had been told by co-workers that Mexico City is worth the drive. Verdict? It absolutely was! The Tamales were fresh and flavorful, the Chicken mole is the best I've had anywhere, the guacamole is the perfect blend, chunky and delectable and the service is fast and friendly. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Francisco and Mayra!

I love this place, if you are looking for fresh and fast Mexican food, the carnitas burrito is fantastic. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. All around great place if you need a quick bite to eat.

Wonderful place. The staff is friendly, the prices are excellent, and the food is fast and delicious. Great take out place for authentic Mexican!!! Try the tamales they are exquisite.

  • HM D.

I'm so psyched this place came to Ashland. I've been there twice, and both times I was impressed with the quality of the food and the great prices. I've had the tacos and tamales - very tasty and authentic. The guacamole is fresh and perfectly seasoned. My husband got the el pastor burrito bowl (pork and pineapple). I had a few bites, and I'm looking forward to trying it next. By the end of the summer, I'll probably have tried everything on their menu. I hope enough people frequent this business so they're able to stay around for a while.

  • Matt R.

So glad I came across this place. Amazingly authentic. Amazingly delicious. The kind of place where you can walk in and say "give me whatever" and walk out utterly satisfied. Tacos are what tacos are supposed to be - doubled soft corn tortillas filled with small portion of meat, onions, and salsa only. Badass.

We love this place. Owner Maira is a doll! Everything is homemade. Had carnitas taco, asada taco & hibiscus iced tea is a must. My wife has been 3 times in the last 24 hours! We picked up takeout for a friend as well. So excited to have finally found authentic Mexican food in Massachusetts!!!! Felicidades!!! Please visit this place so they stay around.

I lived in Mexico City and who would have expected an authentic Mexican taqueria on Route 135 in Ashland. Delicious, fresh tacos and they were making spicy homemade salsas right in front of us. I spoke to Myra, part of the couple that owns the restaurant, and her father was a taco vendor in Mexico City.

  • Megan T.

Stopped in for some quick take-out on my way home last week. I got a carnitas burrito, and three tacos all different kinds. They were really good, the burrito is a little plain with just rice, beans and meat -compared to a chipotle or bolocos where they put in a bunch of "toppings" but it was very good and flavorful and filling none the less. Tacos were simple too but all had nice flavor and a pretty good deal at just under $2 a taco. Great alternative to other fast food venues!

My wife and I were excited to have a Mexican restaurant move to town. Until then we only had bland Chinese and mediocre pizza places. We tried them for lunch and were very impressed. The food is fresh, tastes great and is reasonably priced. The owner seems to really care about the quality of her food and the customers' delight. They have 5 seats to eat in but clearly it is a take-away place. When I was there to pick up our lunch the place was crowded with people waiting for their order. That speaks for itself. They have a steak burrito that would be my choice for my last meal! I will put this food up against any Mexican restaurant in the area. Go there, try it! You will not be disappointed!

  • J G.

Great and authentic mexican flavor from Mexico City. Pastor, Carnitas tacos are great. We also had tamales, awesome. It's a small place but food is great and the cook is from Mexico, as there are plenty of mexican places where cooks are not from Mexico and this does make the difference.

Really good food! I enjoyed supporting a family owned business. The employees were very friendly. The combo of good food and nice people will definitely bring me back. :)

  • Jaclyn R.

Delicious and authentic. It's a hidden gem. Guac is delish. Burritos are awesome. And the the enchiladas are great. We also recently tried the quesadilla and it was also great. This is the best I have found yet.

  • Pat C.

Tried this place tonight. Great service from the lady who was there (not sure if she was the owner). I called ahead and it was ready when I got there. My son had a cheese quesadilla and polished off almost the whole thing. I had a steak quesadilla and a carnitas taco. The quesadilla was pretty good. It could be improved if the steak had just a bit more flavor (maybe some garlic, lime or heat). The carnitas were also good but could've used a bit more something, too. Neither were bland, but I just prefer a stronger flavor. The salsa on the taco was great. Overall, a good experience, GREAT value, and I'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work!

Resonable price, very friendly environment. Same food you would get anywhere else at a mexican resturant but much cheaper. Love it and would definately go back again, which I have. Thanks for the service!!

  • Elizabeth N.

Amazing food! Hot and fresh. I ordered the carnitas burrito. It was made to order fresh while I waited, and it was a short wait. This place is a total find. I think I am in love. So delicious!

  • Libbie P.

I joined Yelp for the sole purpose of giving this gem five stars. The food is amazing! The staff is super friendly as well. If you plan on eating with more than 1 other person, you probably should consider take out as there are only a few seats. I love that every time I go back there are more orders going out. So happy to see this fantastic joint thrive!

  • Steve R.

Excellent Mexican food. The Tamales were awesome and the Pulled chicken Burrito was really good. The service is incredibly fast and friendly. This will definitely become a regular stop for me. I wish that they had delivery during the week and got rid of the $20 minimum. It is hard to hit the minimum when the food is inexpensive.

    (4)
  • Amy S.

Everything I tried here has been great. The steak burrito was the best. Make sure you add the guacamole. Quick, inexpensive, and very friendly service.

  • Scott M.

This is a new restaurant, and the only Mexican place in the immediate area. Food was good- I had a burrito bowl with chicken, but very basic. I would go back.

    (4)
  • Lisa C.

This place is vegetarian/vegan friendly too! Mayra Ramirez, the owner, is the happy and helpful face you'll see behind the counter. The beans and rice are vegetarian (made without lard and chicken stock like many mexican places). As I ate my bean tostada, Mayra happily "whipped" up another vegetarian dish for me to try that was made of soya (like TVP), cilantro, onions, and lime, with a sauce topping that was quite delightful. The green salsa is truly hot. :)

  • Mike S.

I'm a fan, and I hope they stay in Ashland for a long time!!!! Big burritos, crunchy tacos, fast service and fairly inexpensive! I like the spicy / chipolte sauce and they're pretty willing to mix and match some of the menu items. Perfect cheap, quick meal for the whole family when you don't want to cook. Si' AMIGO!!!! SI'!!!

  • M B.

Came in for lunch with a co-worker this week and he learned what I've known for quite some time: the food here is outstanding. He raved about the fresh, spicy salsa and the authentic flavor of our meals. If you are on the fence about what to get, try the carnitas tacos. They're heaven in a tortilla. They've expanded and added a dining room for eat-in customers. We are definitely making this a regular lunch spot, and you should too! P.S. - Poblano tamales with verde sauce are still top notch.

  • Stacy K.

Food and service were good. From a parents perspective, having our 4 and 5 year old kids with us, I was disappointed they don't have a kids menu nor do they have crayons or anything for the kids. I'm also kind of surprised that "Good for groups" is listed as yes, as there are only 7 tables and a small bar area in the restaurant. A group of 4 perhaps. Again, food and service were good. If you aren't with kids or a big group, it's worth trying.

  • TJ S.

I am not sure if I should give 4 or 5 stars... Probably somewhere in the middle - 4.5. The food is definitely the star of this tiny, hidden away place. I almost missed it when I was driving by. It is a clean, friendly, family run place that serves great Mexican fare. I have traveled a lot and have had my share of good and bad Mexican food. It is hard to find a good Mexican around Boston. If you think that Chipotle is the Mexican, you need to come here to taste the real stuff. They serve authentic Mexican, so expect the tamales and burritos to be freshly made, full of genuine Mexican flavors. I had the carnitas and chorizo burrito with black beans and rice. The meats were moist and flavorful with the right amount of spices. I will come back again to try other dishes. The ones that I am looking forward to trying are the pescados and chimichanga. I hope to update my review the next time when I come back in the near future.

This place is amazing. I've been looking for a good Mexican place in the Metrowest area that's comparable to Anna's Taqueria in Boston, and this hole in the wall definitely gives Anna's a run for it's money. I ordered a carnitas burrito with a side of chips and salsa. The burrito was MASSIVE, very flavorful, and I have never come so close to almost not finishing a burrito...but it happened last night. The salsa is fresh and soo good, and the guacamole was out of this world. I've had tacos here before and thought they were pretty good (very authentic), but if you go, definitely get a burrito. The quesadillas look awesome too, so next time I'll try one of those. Their carnitas was definitely the best I've ever had.

    (5)
  • James S J.

Had the Beef Fajitas and Taco Salad with ground beef. Salad was fresh with a huge portion of taco beef. Fajitas were very tasty with bacon mixed in with the steak & veggies giving the dish an additional layer of flavor that was as delicious as this pleasant surprise!!!!

  • Heather B.

Delicious! It's so hard to find decent Mexican food in Massachusetts. The guacamole was yum and homemade for sure. Everything seems made from scratch and perfectly spiced. The service was quick and friendly. Carnitas chimichanga was A+ and re refried beans were excellent! My husband ordered three tacos and said they were all delicious and authentic. He had the Pollo Tinga, Al Pastor, and Chorizo. His favorite was the Al Pastor. In closing, this delightful place is definitely worth a visit and don't let the strip mall location deter you!

Go for the big guacamole- it is fantastic. Food is fresh, yummy and made to order. A great addition to Ashland.

A friend had told me about this place - that she had heard people rave about it. We ordered take out last night for dinner and was not disappointed! Looking forward to trying other items in the menu. The staff was very kind - offering suggestions for my kids who aren't the most adventurous eaters.

Finally!!!! I found a really good Mexican restaurant in Massachusetts. I've been hunting for a good one for two years already. I pretty much had tried everything on their menu and I like them all. My husband likes their Al Pastor burrito. The pineapple gives it a touch of sweetness. My favorite is their carne asada chimichanga. I really like how they make their rice. Their horchata is amazing as well because it is just the right amount of sweetness. Service is also fantastic. They are always cheerful and friendly. They give you free salsa with your meal (mild, medium or hot) but I would have to dock them a star for the price of their Pico de Gallo. For a tiny little container of Pico de Gallo, you have to pay 75 cents. You don't get much from that tiny little container. It's barely 1.5 tablespoons of Pico de Gallo and I know it doesn't cost much to make that. I usually just stop by the grocery store and pick up a tub of Pico de Gallo because I like to have a lot on top of my chimichanga. Other than this little complaint, I'm a very happy customer and will continue to buy from them.

This place a little hidden gem. I love my Mexican food, and certainly would eat it everyday day that ends with Y if I could. It's hard to find tasteful, authentic Mexican cuisine at a cheaper fare. This place should be your new spot. From their mini chicken flautas, to their gigantic burritos, to their fish tacos or their fresh salsa - you seriously cannot go wrong. This spot is owned by a adorable little family and they truly put their passion and hearts into this restaurant. You feel welcome the moment you step foot in the door. The warm, positive ambiance spreads just like the delicious guacamole on their homemade chips. Make sure to try Mexico City if you have the guacortunity unity to! Your experience will be Juan to remember.

We were driving back to CT from Boston and randomly stopped at this place. We were very pleasantly surprised. For suburban Mass it exceeded expectations in a big way. I'd go there all the time if we lived nearby!

If you haven't been in a while, they've expanded so there are tables to sit at with waitstaff....only a few tables but definitely better than before. Guacamole is made fresh to order and is unbelievable. Staff is so nice! Very authentic food and you can tell it was made with care. Highly recommend!

Lovely little gem i stumbled on! I was in the area for work today and decided to eat a late lunch.. came here bc it was literally across the street from where I was and had 5 star reviews on here! And it wasn't wrong! Great little place! As soon as I walked in, I hear "HOLA!", so pleasant. the difference something little like a greeting in spanish makes when you're in a mexican restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and I tried the plate with 3 diff assortments! sorry, forgot the names. lol.. but de-li-cious!! yummy! 2 diff types of salsa - green and red. both great! both so tasty, love both! i was so full 2/3 way thru and forced most of the rest down bc i couldn't stop. O.O ordered 7 diff tacos to go for the bf since he wasn't there with me and i wanted him to try it. will be back next time im in the area, wish they were closer.

Simply the best burrito in the area. Fresh homemade guacamole too! Great prices. Always my lunch option around here.

  • Natalie M.

What an awesome gem! The food alone would rate a 5, but the customer service only adds to the pleasurable experience. You can tell they are proud of their heritage, and want to share it through food. Chips and salsa start off the meal, and are fresh and yummy. I had the chicken enchiladas with verde sauce, sooo delicious. Other favorites with my family are their street tacos. A place we will keep visiting.

Excellent Mexican restaurant. Price is reasonable. Must try the burrito bowl. I.ve never seen this good, everything made to order. If you are in the neighborhood, try it out.

  • Jen L.

All I have ever had here is tacos because I like them so much I don't want to try anything different. My husband loves the spicy salsa (which is very hot!!) and my son loves the beans but everyone has always been happy with everything!

  • Linda b.

After reading reviews from this restaurant, was really looking forward to try their food, so I order 3 different burritos and was sooooo disappointed, they were dry, the sauce that came with was very very hot, spicy, I don't know many people who can eat that much heat.. Sorry, I got way better down the street and the place is not even a Mexican restaurant.

Great tacos!! The rice and beans are great too. Overall great food. They now have seating available so you don't just have to order pick-up!

I have a bad habit of ordering the same items on different restaurant menus that are more often than not disappointing. But I keep doing it, because sometimes you finally find the place that just hits every mark. I got the taco salad, which had the most delicious, freshly fried shell that was a reasonable size, not a giant vat. I got it sans meat, and the combination of toppings was delicious. The chips and salsa were both freshly made and free, and the hot salsa actually spicy. I had a bite of my partner's al pastor burrito which was also delicious. The prices are low and they run a swift take out business, so the interior of the restaurant reflects that (small, bright). They do have a small area with tables that are waited on, and our service was excellent. It's a good thing I don't live in Ashland, because I'd probably stop trying to cook Mexican food at home.

I'm a native Californian so I have eaten my share of great Mexican food and this place is one of the best. Pollo burrito and a tamale of the day and it's was great. I will definitely come back

How Ashland of all places landed a real taqueria is beyond me, but Mexico City is legit. Spicy salsa is actually spicy. Taco salad shell is actually worth eating. Al Pastor burrito is in no need of additional salsas and/or hot sauce. Oh, and everything is really cheap. I will definitely be back.

Stopped here yesterday after driving by numerous times. Expected to get take out but decided to stay since there was a small dining area. Staff was great; food was excellent, authentic and fresh! Two of us had full entrees with a drink for under 20 bucks. Definitely looking forward to gong back and trying something new!

Due to the rave reviews on Yelp, we came here to check this place out, but it seems that I came here on a bad day. We ordered two tamales, tacos al pastor and a carnitas burrito. The tamales were lukewarm and bland. The tacos and burrito were fine, but really lacking spice. Might have to try this again sometime but was seriously disappointed.

We stopped by on a whim expecting to get take out but we decided to stay since there was a dining area. Super friendly staff, some of the best tortilla chips I have ever had (and I've had A LOT!), clean environment, colorful decor & great food. I had an Al Pastor burrito bowl & my boyfriend had a few tacos - authentic cuisine, fresh ingredients, great price - full lunch for 2 under $20 and we'll probably skip dinner! Definitely recommend, definitely will be back!

Really delicious and authentic Mexican food. It's not always on the menu, but the lengua taco is fabulous: simple, tender, and exactly the sort of thing you'd eat 15 of at a street cart in Mexico. I also had a pork tamale with a salsa rojo that was phenomenal. The flautas are filled and fried to order and the guacamole is superb. This is primarily take-out, so no sitting at a table and drinking a margarita while eating chips. Que lastima. However, it's way better mexican food than you're going to get anywhere else in the area.

I'm so glad they expanded to include a restaurant with sitting space. The good: fresh horchata, and if they're out, sometimes if you're really nice, the guy will make a fresh batch just for you. The food is generally great, the chips hot, salsa good. The bad: the tamales are unreliable. The first time, I had a poblano and cheese tamale that was divine. After that first time, the tamales were sometimes cold, sometimes hot, sometimes great, sometimes not. Tamales are my favorite dish in a Mexican joint so I hope they'll fix this issue.

Yelp brought us here after a business meeting for a quick lunch, and I'm glad we came. I have to start by acknowledging how great the staff was. The young lady who took care of us was delightful, and that's half the battle at many restaurants these days. The food is solid quality, traditional Mexican. I enjoyed the beef tongue taco, but i found the pork in my burrito to be a tad on the dry side. I also thought the chips were a little flat. We really enjoyed the guac and the array of salsas. Also, you can't beat the prices!

Today I saw that they had beef tongue. This is a rare item to find. Had a sawmple extremely well marinaded and savory fresh off the skillet. I will be ordering this next time.

This place is so awesome. Best street tacos I have ever had in New England. Tried both pescado and carne and both tasted fresh and delicious. Service is superb. Had free chips and salsa within seconds. The owner came by to talk twice and is super friendly. Come try it for yourself!

This is a small, simple but clean place. The prices are excellent. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my daughter a beef burrito. I got a steak quesadilla by mistake but decided to keep it. The steak on both was VERY chewy but tasty.

Highly recommended- this is our favorite take-out in the area. Their quesadillas and enchiladas, and tamales (especially with their mole sauce!) are amazing and the staff is extremely friendly.

Well I went back today after not being there for a couple of months and to my surprise they have expanded to a add a small sit down area. Wonderful. Looks like they expanded menu slightly also. Now if they just add beer and Margs... O yeah, that would be sweet. But nice being able to sit down and enjoy this awesome little gem.

Just left this cute little place. It's in a strip mall, and it was very brightly lit inside. We found the restaurant on Yelp, so when we walked in we had no idea whether to seat ourselves or wait for the waitress. The nice cook asked us if we wanted anything to go, but let us wait when we said we wanted to dine in. They have a drink case if you are getting take out. We were seated, I took my son to the very clean bathroom, and we already had water, chips, and salsa when we came back. They had high chairs available. Check out the menu online. They have great meat options. OK, food time. First of all, it came out so quickly. We got nachos with ground beef for my son, my husband got poblano tamales with salsa verde, and I got the fajita salad with steak. Here's my summary: don't order Americanized food here. It's not what they do. The nachos were very reminiscent of Taco Bell, orange liquid cheese, orange oily beef. Fresh veggies on top helped, and their chips are way too good. The steak on my salad was delicious. Greens were fresh. Limited dressing choices so I put salsa on top. I thought the bell peppers and onions would be cooked, but they were raw. My husband raved about his tamales, saying they were better than any he's had in Mexico or Texas. They came with big sides of rice and beans. I don't think chocolate flan is an authentic thing, but boy am I glad we ordered it. Absolutely delicious, like a really moist cake. Beautiful presentation too. Checking out was fast. This isn't worth the hour drive for us, but when we're close by, this is certainly where we'll be eating.

An extensive menu at this place and the food is really good. Our family really enjoyed dinner over here. The sauces used are different but nice. The kids enjoyed their food which is great. We will be going back.

Really good fresh food with excellent service. Don't let the outside or the shopping strip fool you, good things wait inside. Flautas are yummy, tamales were the favorite of the table. We also enjoyed the mole. As a Texan, there is really no substitute for tex mex but this hit the spot today.

I love this place SO much! I have high standards for Mexican food, which this place exceeds! The tacos, especially the pollo tinga, the chorizo, and the lengua, especially rock. The salsa and guac are fresh and delicious. The service is really friendly, too. We are regulars, which only helps, I'm sure, but the owner was sweet from the very beginning. They just opened up a bigger dining area, so go!

One of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to... And I've been to a lot. The tamales are excellent and so are the tacos (soft or hard... You pick). The horchetta is delicious and would highly recommend. Can't believe I hadn't discovered this place any earlier. Highly recommended.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
