Great Place, Friendly, Affordable, home cooking, great coffee. a little hard to find because it is connected to a small casino and it gets lost in the gaudy sign. but worth the try. will go back again.

I got the crawfish étouffée and was disappointed. It did not have much flavor. My bf got the gumbo and he enjoyed it. The homemade bread was awesome! It was a little sweet and very moist. The fried boudin was to die for!! The best thing ever!! We bought extra to take back to San Antonio. The people are extremely friendly! I will defiantly go back to try something else.

Great food and very clean and friendly. Ate here last year and was impressed. Unfortunately the last few times I've driven by here it was late and they were closed. I recommend stopping by if you haven't.

My husband had heard great things about this place so we headed over for dinner while staying at a local RV park. Everything he heard was beyond true! The restaurant itself is very unassuming. Attached to a small, local casino it doesn't look like much. The help wanted sign on the door going in didn't seem to be a good point in our enjoying our meal. Only one table was occupied, my husband walked over and asked the ladies seated if the food was good. A resounding YES and Try The Catfish was given. My youngest had the the kids shrimp & fries - the basket of food was completely eaten (a rare occurrence). My middle daughter had a bowl of seafood gumbo. Huge! It had a dark roux which she's not a fan of but she did say it had a great flavor. My husband had the Catfish Bouree, fried catfish with an Alfredo sauce over it. He ate until he was stuffed. I had the Catfish LaFitte. Grilled catfish over a bed of seafood ettoufee. Oh my! My husband finally has some competition with ettoufee. I've never eaten any ettoufee at a restaurant that was even close to as delicious as his. The couple we were with both had fried catfish with onion rings. You must try the onion rings! These are not those little things that come frozen in a package. These are huge slices on onion, hand-battered and fried to perfection. Very highly recommended! Waitress was excellent, took great care of us.

Had the seafood platter and fried boudin balls - everything was fried perfectly, a lot of places don't get fried food right. The catfish was especially light and flaky. Also grabbed some great cracklin.

Local restaurant off I-10. Friendly staff and decent food. Attached to a video poker casino. Breakfast and lunch were served. Their seafood gumbo had good flavor. It was more watery than thick. Could tell the roux was not flour and butter based like many gumbos. Rice was dry. Overall this isn't the best food, but if you want a hot meal conveniently off the interstate check them out. Grab yourself a container of seasoned salt. It's good stuff.

Looks are deceiving but I'm so glad we stopped! Our waitress was so sweet, and the food was fantastic. They started us off with a fresh batch of beignets which was a pleasant surprise! We also got the fried boudin balls which were fantastic but so filling, we got four and could only eat two! I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo which was really good (my first gumbo!). He got breakfast and got pecan pancakes with it by recommendation of the waitress and they were delicious. Their homemade seasoned salt is amazing too, we bought a few containers of it. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch, yum yum yum.

My mother and I stopped here on whim as we were leaving the golden nugget and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Without a doubt, their crawfish étouffée is the best I've EVER had. We got the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer..DELISH. My mom got boudin balls and gumbo and she said those were yummy. I ordered the mashed potatoes with brown gravy and found out it had meat in the gravy. I told the waitress I'd like the white gravy instead because I don't eat meat (I'm a Pescetarian and only eat fish) and she gave my mom the mashed potatoes for free. She told us she didn't like to waste :) the place was a little warm, assuming the air conditioner either wasn't on or wasn't working. I would say that was the only true downfall. They made up for it HANDS DOEN with their bread pudding!! Omggggggg best dessert ever! I say give this place a shot :)

OK. We drove over here on one of the crappiest days I've seen in years. RAIN fit to strangle a frog. Do we regret it? HECK NO. Do Not let the roadside RV park, second rate gambling casino and bingo hall next door put you off. The place is plain inside, but clean. The greeting is warm and friendly. Pick a spot and plop down. The menu is not large, but it has what you need. Etouffe, boudin balls, jambalaya, gumbo, fried and grilled seafood, steaks, sandwiches, burgers. They also do cracklins. NOM! We ordered the obligatory boudin balls and they arrived hot and very delicious. Then the lagniappe of some honey bread and cracklins arrived. I am so glad I don't live near this place. I would be eating those cracklins every day. Tender, crunchy, spicy, porky...yeah baby. Salads were OK. Nothing to get excited about but that is OK seeing as how when your food arrives there is a ton of if. My crawfish ettouffe was really delicious. My side of coleslaw was also yum. Hub's gumbo was tasty as well. It was not black dark roux, which helped not make it too bitter. These folks know what they're doing. His grilled catfish with shrimp etouffe on top was good as well. Heck, the potato salad was really good. YUMtastic, in fact. Service here is nothing if not friendly and attentive. The people here are genuine and sweet. I really liked the place a lot. One note, the location on Yelp and the Garmin was off. Look for the Cash Magic Casino and RV park when you exit. The restaurant is adjoining the Cash Magic Casino.

Had a group of 11 after a softball tournament and wanted seafood before heading back to Texas. As we stumbled across this, we found Comeauxs. Do not let the looks fool you, go inside. Once we did, we found the place quaint however clean. 1 waitress, so we had to move the tables for our larger group and pass out our own menus and silverware. The waitress was alone and busy. But very nice and attentive to our needs. We all enjoyed out plentiful meal. If in the area, give it a try!!

Oh Dear Lord!!! This place is da BOMB. Gumbo was delicious. Boudin is the best ever (I got the mild, not smoked). ***cracklin is a absolute must***. This is the best thing I have ever eaten. Make sure you say hello to "Cherokee" she will guide you through the Cajun food like a champ.

The gumbo is OFF THE HOOK. The cornbread is VERY GOOD. The chocolate cake/brownies? Well, let's say I ate it while driving making a mess. Not a crumb left in the container. It was a great stop. Worth the exit and time. The server was very polite, staff was great and kind.

NO, NO, NO. Everything else might be good but the gumbo was TERRIBLE. It did have a good flavor but it was the consistency of broth. Absolutely NO substance. And to top it off, it was expensive.

1st Cajun joint just over the Louisiana border. Pretty good Po Boy's and I tried boudin. Service was great too! Worth the stop.

We went there on a Saturday in March. They seem to be a lil hole on the wall but they had their all you can eat fried catfish going on and of course I snagged it! Great homemade tartar sauce and she brought out three whole filets! And said she had shorted me one she'd be right back with it... And she was! That was a lot of food, but o my gosh, that was some of the BEST fried catfish I've ever had!!!! My husband got a crispy chicken salad that was HUGE as well! Great sweet tea and very friendly service. Not only did we never run out of tea (and we had a total of 5 ppl with us plus their front room was full and their back room was close to full) but they knew their food. i was stuck between the crawfish etouffee and the catfish and she actually gave me her favorite instead of just looking at me. They were all smiles and genuinely nice everytime they came to the table. We waited about 25 mins for our food but in their defense they were pretty busy! And the food was WELL WORTH it! Great food, great service, definitely going back again.
