This great little place truly earned a 5 star review from us! We were staying at the Dansereau House B&B and the night manager suggested Spahr's for dinner. She said the seafood was amazing and boy was she right! It was a slow night (a Monday) and we were seated right away. Our server was excellent! Very friendly and professional! I had the crab cakes and my husband had the fried shrimp. We both had the sweet potato fries as a side. My crab cakes were absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked and so flavorful! But I do have to say, I will get the fried shrimp when we come back some day. The batter on the shrimp was incredible. It was the most unique, and yummy, fried shrimp I have ever tasted. The portion size was perfect for both of our dinners. We will be back, Spahr's!! Thank you for an amazing meal!

I don't always crave gumbo, but when I do, I go to Spahr's. Not a bad place to get seafood in Thibodaux. Service is also nice and welcoming. I typically get a shrimp poboy or gumbo, so I can't attest to the entire menu. Most people I know go there for the breakfast or to have a casual drink at the bar. Prices seem pretty reasonable. -Bloody Marys are also a nice touch.

Cold crab cakes, Bloody Mary is ok, but I'm not sure what the hype is. Mediocre shrimp- Overall, would not return.

Service was poor. Took 20 minutes after we were seated to have our drink order taken. Food came out and it was cold. Not on my return list.

Went in for lunch on a Sunday - we were the only customers after the one other couple left. Ordered a Po-boy (Roast Beef) and the Crawfish stew - Far from noteworthy and luke warm. Our waitress was pleasant but the rest of the staff sorted silverware five feet from us by tossing each fork, knife, and spoon into the tub - Very rude and more than annoying. I will never recommend or return.

Really good food in Thibodaux. This was a suggestion from a local, excellent beignets for breakfast. For lunch I had the crawfish po boy. Tip: If you ask, they may have some cool tshirts with the king catfish logo on the back.

Disappointing shrimp pasta. Dish had no flavor and the pasta was hard and dry. Service was good and offered to remake it after I had chewed through over half of it.

Incredible food. Lot's of great seafood. Yes, it is fried, but not like most traditional fried foods. We started out with crab fingers which were really good. My wife had the Seafood platter which consisted of fried catfish, stuffed crab, fried oysters, fried shrimp, crab fingers, french fries, and onion pieces. She added soft crab which was worth the extra. She stated this was one of the best meals she has ever eaten. I had the stuffed crab meal. I really enjoyed it as well. I would recommend that you order the extra stuffed crab, as just eating one was satisfying, but I was glad to have the second one. We ate rather early, so we were the only ones there, but the server was right on top of everything. If you are in the area, we highly recommend Spahrs.

Confusing: sometimes we've gone and it was the best food anyone could ask for, and sometimes it's less than desired. Last night it was barely warm gumbo (thick like stew with hard rice) and cold fries for the kids. Inconsistent kitchen staff?

Excellent grilled shrimp and cold beer. What more could a guy ask for?

I love this place! Don't pass up the crab fingers, and the crawfish stew is amazing. As for as service, great southern hospitality.

In addition to having great seafood, Spahr's serves the best hamburger steak and roast beef po-boy around! Atmosphere is awesome as well as servers Blair, Clair, Melinda, Taylor, Tyler, Emily and Dani.

I stumbled on Spahr's by chance, just saw as I was driving by and decided I was ready for dinner. I tried the Crawfish Stew hoping it was like etouffee. It was similar but the Crawfish Stew also had a side of Catfish Chips, now I come from Chattanooga, Tn and everyone there knows about Riverside Catfish on Hwy 41 but Spahr's Catfish Chips are a real close second. I liked Spahr's so much I went to Spahr's in Houma the next day.
