McAlister's is very similar to a Panera Bread. They have sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups and chili. The menu is fairly extensive with a variety of flavorful choices. They have a small kids menu with about half a dozen choices. I ordered the Fresh Pecanberry wrap. It was very delicious, the flavors worked great with each other. My kids ordered the Mac and Cheese with a bag of chips. My wife ordered the pick 2 with half a grilled chicken spud and Smokey pepper jack Turkey. Our dishes were served with a pickle spear. We also ordered the iced tea. The iced tea was delicious. They have a lot of seating areas, booth style and outdoor tables. The staff was very friendly. The restroom was clean and smelt very fresh. The restaurant sits away from the road and can be easily missed. It's in front of a very busy intersection with traffic coming off the highway. They also offer catering and is a great location to have an office lunch outing. Excellent food, excellent service, a place we will definitely return to.

Foods good but they don't carry milk. As a parent this seems weird to me. Will only come back when kids are in school

I got takeout here twice, and both times they messed up my order. Both times I ordered the veggie club; the first time they left off the guacamole, and the second time they left off the cheese (meaning I had a sandwich consisting of one piece of lettuce, a tomato slice, and a small amount of roasted red peppers).

The place is a decent one for a nice lunch. Nothing special though. The service is good; the food is okay. The portions, I would consider a little small for the prices you pay.

The sandwiches here are so good. I'm making this a regular spot from now on for lunch. Can't beat the prices for the quality of food. Their sandwiches are good as well as their soups. Parking here is a little annoying because the lot isn't that big. But it's def. getting bookmarked for me!!!

I do not recommend anyone eat here. We have be frequent customers who have been eating here while my boyfriend is in ICU at a nearby hospital. My mother-in-law and I only have limited time to be away from him. We called in an order and I said on the phone that we were wanting to call in our order and eat in the store. When we got to the store we told them we were picking up our order and we were just going to eat here really quickly. A black haired woman who, appeared to be the manager, told us that this time was okay but we were not allowed to call in an order and was very RUDE! Then as we are paying ANOTHER dark haired woman in the kitchen yells from the kitchen to the other "YOU KNOW. YOU KNOW" VERY RUDELY with us standing right there. They made us feel UNWELCOMED and very DISRESPECTED!! It is not that big of a deal to call in an order ahead of time and also if it is a problem then you can speak to customers NICELY!!!! If I was the owner of this place I would be very embarrassed and ashamed of my employees. The HALF AN HOUR that we can be away from the hospital for an ongoing 3 MONTHS...rude people are not what we need. We will be taking our business elsewhere!!!

Excellent service and run very efficiently even during a heavy lunch crowd. I have tried several menu items with complete satisfaction but I always go back to my favorite club sandwich and potato salad. This is my goto for lunch.

Hadn't been to one of these in many years and was excited to see one when I arrived in the area. It did not disappoint and was just as good as I remembered. Nice, big deli sandwiches and everything here is always good. They even properly brew iced tea and pride themselves on it. Food could have come out a little faster but it was packed and there was a line.

McAlisters is by my far my favorite lunch eatery. I am from Texas (staying in slidell for work) and was pleasantly surprised when I found out there was a McAlisters at my hotels exit. Mcalisters uses punch cards for tea and meals (normally) but this mcalisters only honors meal punches on online orders (download the app to place to go orders) every 9th meal is free and I love being rewarded for eating at my favorite places. I've noticed the service here is a little different than I normally receive at home, lots of loud shouting from the front to the kitchen, usually making small talk or jokes, but a little odd for a mcalisters. Also the staff taking orders seems put off when I ask for a water cup, which frustrates me, considering I've been in the service industry, I'm not trying to get anything for free, I like water, I normally only drink water so I don't like when someone seems put off by me asking for a water cup. Other than that, like every mcalisters I've been to, great fresh food and worth every penny!

I was staying in Slidell before the mississippi coast marathon and could not find an italian restaurants in the area so I decided to go with a sandwich an dMcAlister's was near my hotel room. There is a very extensive menu and it took me several minutes to decide. I went with the New Yorker and a side of cole slaw and was very happy. I would recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Standard McAlister's fare. I was taken somewhat by surprise, however, when I was refused any extra gravy for my sandwich. This sandwich already includes the gravy as an item, but was pretty sparse today. I was told there would be a charge for any additional gravy. Seriously, you're going to squabble over a few pennies for a bit of gravy? Never experienced poor service like that at any other McAlister's, and I must say I'm pretty turned off by it this time. Will not return to this location.

Stephanie B the front desk hostess very polite, friendly and helpful at no time does the customer feel rushed to place their order. I ordered the roast beef panini with a side of potato salad, love their potato salad.
