Fantastic food, generous helpings, and great service. The place was packed, which is always a good sign. The only negative was that the air conditioner was REALLY struggling, so it was pretty warm inside (which is less than ideal pretty much any time of year). Hopefully they'll address that.

Just stopped today 2/14/15 for the first time. The food was great. The fried catfish was moist and great flavor. Freshly made onion rings, great home made relish, tartar sauce out of this world and great tea. Huge cheeseburger good for two persons.

The hush puppies, cole slaw, and beans were excellent in the beginning of the course. The catfish is plenty and good. For a relaxing dinner that gets you full for your money, Jans is ideal.

Great steak. Jan's being a known for fish. You would not think they have good steaks ...buy they do. My steak was medium rare it was seasoned well and tender.

The hush puppies were fantastic. The only problem was I ate so many plus the pinto beans, coleslaw and pickled tomatoes that I was too full for the catfish. You have to like fried foods cause if it ain't fried it ain't on the menu. Katy was a sweet server.

Great food. The portions of catfish are huge and the steaks are sliced rather thin, but are very good.

Best Catfish in town. Real southern cooked catfish. I recommend getting the all u can eat catfish and fries. The service is great and they keep fresh hushpuppies at your table. Nothing like a chain restaurants version of what they call fried catfish.
