I would first like to say I had a pretty incredible food experience here. Upon walking in we were greeted with a sign that stated "No broiled crawfish". This was a little disheartening and we almost left. I ordered the Grilled tilapia with crab and jambalaya. BF ordered stuffed crab. For Appitizer we got the crawfish cornbread and oysters. My fish was amazing! Seriously amazing! Something you would pay $40 for at a five star restaurant, and it's only $15 here. Cornbread was really good and super moist. Stuffed crab was fried to perfection with lightly seasoned crispy fries and hush puppies. Any dinner also comes with a side of coleslaw and pickled sweet and sour green tomatoes. Delicious! Here is my list of cons, if crawfish isn't in season they won't have it. Came around 6 today and they had ran out of étouffée. So make sure you have a backup plate order in case they don't have what you want. it's about a 15min drive from the casinos. Oysters were okay today. They weren't fresh like after being shucked. I believe they came from a bucket. they came on metal oyster shells. Interesting? Service here is really great. We enjoyed our waiter. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in Shreveport. Enjoy!

My first time to Louisiana. And this place is awesome. They provided a sample of their main dishes before we ordered. Highly recommend this place. Friendly atmosphere.

My food experience here was 2 stars but because of the exceptional customer service we received, I'm giving 3 stars. I'm just gonna cut to the chase here. Sadly, the hushpups for an appetizer were the best things we ordered. I had to send my stuffed shrimp back because they tasted like they came straight out of a box from Sams. I ate half of my friends bland shrimp po boy instead of ordering something else. Our waiter handled it beautifully; offered another dish, even dessert, and when I politely turned it down, he took the stuffed shrimp of the check. Would I recommend this place or go back? No. The place was busy though, so they must be doing something right, or maybe they shop at Sams too : \

OMG the fish here is great!!!! I had a cup of crawfish étouffée and it was very yummy. My boyfriend ordered the fish and oysters combo and really enjoyed it. For dessert we had the bread pudding. It was drenched in rum sauce but the bread pudding itself was ok....nothing special.

Seafood here was mouth watering, the decor is soooo cool here with all the Louisiana style decors, service was good, food was good, ordered the seafood platter which was Enough for 2. The catfish was very nicely battered and the oysters were soooooo fresh even though they were fried

We love Crawdaddy's. The servers are attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. Cajun music playing in the background. Amazing food. My favorites are the fried oysters with seasoned potatoes and the fried alligator. Never gave room for dessert so we usually get the fabulous turtle cheesecake to go!!! Get a Mudbugs Club membership because you will get coupons for your birthday and wedding anniversary... Usually is a certain amount off your meal or free dessert. When you rack up 200 dollars of visits, you get 25 dollars off your next meal.

Stumbled into this place on our road trip because of the Yelp reviews. I enjoyed it enough but didn't get what I had hoped for. I want to give it a 3.5. First off, the server we had was very nice and super attentive. Wish I could remember her name because I like giving shout outs. Anyways, I am not "needy" but I think I drink about 180 gallons of water at meals and I guess I do always find myself needing or wanting something else. She was very much on top of her game. Friends started with "boudin balls", fried pork and rice balls, which they really enjoyed. I don't eat meat so I can't comment on that. I do eat fish though! And I was conflicted on what to order because a lot of things sounded so good but from what I had read, the portions were huge and I am not a fan of leftover fried seafood. I wanted a mixture of things but knew the seafood combo would be outrageously big. So I went with the smaller combo because I'm just not good with decisions. I got the catfish and fried oyster combo. Let me say the oysters were HUGE. I mean, they were so big. And there were I think 4 pieces of fried catfish. The oysters were fine; not great, not bad, but alright. I think sometimes it's hard to do fried oysters and maybe harder when they are the size of your fist. They were too mushy for my liking, maybe that's my bad and I should have ordered well done? The catfish was good but I think I have decided I won't be eating catfish again. Nothing on the restaurant, I just think it's not that special to me. The dinner came with Cajun fries, which were really good and hush puppies, which I also enjoyed. The menu online says the dinners come with coleslaw and pickled tomatoes as well. The dinner came with neither. Not that I needed either of those because I was so full after half of it, just pointing it out. Maybe the online menu needs updating, and now of course I can't remember what the real life menu said on it. Yes I was full but for some reason, dessert was calling my name. I had the bread pudding which was delicious and had some very scrum rum sauce that it was floating in. So good, couldn't breathe after, no idea why I ordered it, glad I did. Friend had a hurricane drink which was HUGE and super strong, so they are on point with their drinks too. Overall, I would probably come back here and try something else, as both my friends really enjoyed their meals and the service was good and the atmosphere was cool too!!

Over all great service, food and atmosphere. I ordered the gator and my wife got the frog legs. We decided we were going to order something we normally would not. Both were real good. I would recommend this place the best part is the parking lot was full and we still did not have a wait because the have plenty of space. We were greeted by smiling faces and our server even was nice enough to help us find something in town we wanted to see even though she didn't know where it was. If you are in Shreveport eat at crawdaddy's at least once.

Wow! One of the most amazing meals I've ever had! Couple that with service like you expect at a much more expensive/exclusive establishment. The menu had so many of my favorites that I could not make up my mind. Nona was very helpful and knew the menu items well. After a few minutes of my questioning, she said I know what you want just trust me. She started me with the best boudin balls I have ever tasted. Followed by a sampling of both gumbos and the crawfish étouffée. The half and half plate arrived with 4 large fish filets and 8 jumbo shrimp all lightly battered and perfectly fried. The platter also included slaw, hush puppies, and pickled tomatoes. I subbed jambalaya for the fries and the feast was on. Each bite was better than the last. I kept going from one item to the next and just couldn't decide which was best. It was ALL good. The only complaint I would have is the portions were so large I just could not do dessert. They really could cut the portion In half and you would still leave food on the table. Please check some of my other reviews and you will see that I'm very picky (some would say a food snob), but Nona and the excellent food made this a wonderful experience.

This resteraunt has a sports bar type feel to it. It is very casual and a nice relaxing atmosphere. Our server was friendly and we enjoyed her southern drawl and language. We got 2 different appetizers, the garlic shrimp and crawfish balls (hush puppy type things). The shrimp was very good and the crawfish balls were okay, but both were pretty pricy for the amount that we received. I got the crawfish etoufee and crab cakes and it was good. Not the best crab cakes or etoufee that ive tasted, but can't complain. My brother got oysters and they were gross. I have never had a gross oyster before. They didnt serve them on the original shell and they were watered down. They obviously didnt just take the oysters out of the shell, I am not sure what a person does to make oysters taste like that.. yuck. I tried the jumbalaya too and it wasn't like jumbalaya i have had before. It was like brown rice, tasty brown rice but not jumbalaya. Our experience was okay, but there are definitely better cajun resteraunts that I will be going to.

Our first time to eat here and we are very impressed! Friendly staff, fast service, and great food! We ordered one large meal and shared it. We even had left overs! Now, it's not fancy but worth a casual evening out!

Stopped here for an after work dinner. Very casual place; however, the food was excellent and the service was good and friendly. We had a mix of appetizers that were all pretty large and very tasty. The main courses were HUGE and were excellent....make sure you try the Crawdad cornbread...it was special!

Mer come here several times a year. The fish is always good. I've tried the majority of the menu and I've never been particularly disappointed. Overall, they are very consistent. The wait staff has always been friendly. The one suggestion that I would have is to rethink the tartar sauce. I should be a cajun sauce. Yours taste like something you would get in Maine.

  • Rebecca C.

We have been here twice and it was yummy both times. The food and price were both great. It is awkward to seat yourself and either flag down a waitress or wait till one notices you. They have been packed both times we have been there and the last time we were there they sold out of craw fish. Definitely recommend you try here if you are in the area!

Loved it! excellent service and excellent food and a full bar. For once it wasn't overly deep fried seafood. You could actually taste what you're eating. I had a perfect poboy for the first time in like 15 years. All the staff was great and down home friendly. You have to stop here when in Shreveport!

This was my first time eating Cajun food and I tried the supreme crawfish etouffee at the suggestion of our waitress--who, by the way, had the cutest accent. Amazing is all I can say about this meal!!! In fact, I have been back from vacation for two weeks and still think about it. The servers and other staff were so friendly and helpful, so even though this was my first experience with Cajun food, I will certainly return to Crawdaddy's when I am in the area again which I hope is soon.

Driving through Louisiana we wanted some local food and wow did we get it. It was a bit loud because we were seated next to large table of kids who all screamed at one another but other than that the food and service was great. Our waiter Mat, was hilarious and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the smothered catfish and it was so good! My aunt and cousin ordered grilled shrimp and country fried steak and they both cleared their plates. Definitely worth the stop!

Eight of us from Ft. Worth found this place on Yelp and ate here. Everyone loved their food except for one who ordered chicken fried steak. Very authentic cajun food as far as we could tell, and very big portions. I ate two servings of the sweet pickled tomato slices. Highly recommended!

First I want to say kudos to the owner for taking the time to read and respond to the reviews posted here. That's a very rare thing. I came here to place a to-go order. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the bartender. She was polite and courteous. I ordered the Super Seafood Platter. When I presented the $3.00 off check-in coupon available here at first she told me it could only be used on dine-in orders. That doesn't make any sense. Once I buy the food what does it matter where I eat it, in the restaurant or at home? After looking the coupon over on my phone it didn't say dine-in only anywhere so she honored it. If dine-in only is your coupon policy please consider changing that to include pick-ups and to-go orders as well. The price was higher than what the online menu here indicates. If you're going to offer an online menu please keep the prices up-to-date. People do look at it. After about 15-20 minutes my order came out and I took it home. All of the food was very good. One thing I might suggest here is cutting back on the amount of sauces that are included. Not necessarily the different types, that was nice to have a variety, but the amount of each type. We had a paper bag with like 5 of each type and we only used 2 each. The rest went in the trash. Very good experience here and some very tasty food!

I have eaten Cajun food before but this was super spicy! We got the shrimp plater which was super good. Also tried the crawfish, super super spicy and yummy! If you like spicy, this is your place! Very good service!

We made a quick road trip to Shreveport and stopped here for a bite to eat. The food and service were pretty good. We had the crab claws and the seafood platter - which included shrimp, fish, oysters, crawfish tails, stuffed crab, stuffed shrimp and cajun fries. We also ordered 3 1/2 lbs of crawfish. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and well prepared. Although, I did not care for the stuffing in the crab and shrimp as it lacked flavor, or the pickled tomatoes that came with our order as a side, everything else was great. The service was quick and our waitress was very nice and attentive.

5lbs of crawfish for $30. Super good prices and a menu that had plenty of good options to order. Next time I will be having the stuffed crabs. Cool little place that is worth taking the time to check out.

We decided to stop here for a late lunch based on the reviews. We were not disappointed! I got the Fried Shrimp Po-boy sandwich and it was delicious! The bread and the shrimp were perfect. I also tried the Fried Green Tomatoes and they were also perfect. Loved them! My family ordered the crab claws, boudin balls, chicken and andouille gumbo, tilapia, chicken fried steak and red beans and rice. Everything was very good. We would definitely eat here again if ever passing through. My dad did mention the Mexican cornbread was a little dry and not enough jalapeños. Still worth 5 stars though!

Being a Louisiana transplant, as soon as I knew I was heading to Shreveport for a business trip, I started researching where I would eat crawfish. I settled on Crawdaddy's kitchen based on review that I read. I arrived at 5pm on a Sunday, and they were out of crawfish. That was the first problem. They still had 5 more hours of business, WITHOUT crawfish. I love shrimp too, so I stayed and ate anyway. I sat at the bar as I was dining alone. I reviewed the menu and ordered the Cajun garlic shrimp as an appetizer. About 5 minutes later I ordered fried crawfish tails, as my heart was still set on crawfish. About 20 minutes later, my crawfish tails showed up. 2 minutes later, my Cajun garlic shrimp arrived. Now, the Cajun garlic shrimp were AWESOME. From a taste perspective, amazing. Though, the dish had more onions and other space users because there was literally about 10 smaller shrimp in the whole dish, which equates to $1 per shrimp, which I found to be a little overpriced. But man they tasted great. Time to eat my fried crawfish tails. Unfortunately, I feel like I'd be lying if I said they were even warm. The fries they were sitting on were warm, the crawfish tails were room temperature. Either way, I asked for some ketchup and decided to power through. It took the bartender so long to grab the ketchup for me that I had to physically stop eating or else I would've finished my plate before I received any ketchup. To be fair, the bartender was working steadily. However, the "manager" (likely just by title) named Eric was just behind the bar shooting the breeze. I understand patronizing some customers, but a manager needs to be engaged in the business, not just "there." Eric didn't leave the bar area for more than a total of 5 minutes the whole time I was there. All in all a nice environment for seafood, but pricey. Even my little cocktails were $12 each. I don't doubt that they have some bombshell recipes back in the kitchen, but the management leaves plenty of opportunity for improvement. I may risk stopping by again in the hopes of crawfish, but not likely.

Amazing creole style food! We are in town on business and wanted some real Louisiana cooking. This might not be home cooking but it sure is good! The crawfish supreme is amazing! Their crawfish by he pound was delicious, the boudin, everything was super good!! Definitely recommend if you have the time and you're visiting do yourself a favor and check this place out

Palm sized oysters. Enough said. I came here during my birthday expedition around Louisiana back in March. It was our very last stop before coming back home to Texas and I will say that this made up for all the disappointing seafood that we found in NOLA (the crawfish was too expensive and the oysters were also too expensive and not very big). The crawfish was great. Spicy, cheap, and flavorful. The fried frog legs were amazing as well (tastes like chicken). The highlight of the whole meal were the humungous oysters. Some of the oysters could be taken down in 1 gulp but there were some that needed 3-4 bites to take down. We loved them so much, we ordered another 2 dozen after the fact. Love this place, definitely a must-see when you drive through Shreveport.

The few times my boyfriend and I have been in Shreveport we've gone here for some seafood. The service is always friendly and quick. The oyster poboy is so delicious. You can taste the freshness of the oyster even through the fried breading. I could go on forever about the oyster poboy. The raw oysters taste great as well. I feel like I'm in oyster heaven each time I go there. Consistently good food and service.

Great place! Worth the drive from the interstate for some tasty local cookn. The spicy alligator bites were a good start, and the main dishes of crawfish Alfredo, butterfly shrimp, delicious boiled shrimp, and cajon roast beef were all very well prepared. Fast, friendly service with a smile. Have Nascar I the background, and a nice bar.

  • Mike A.

The food was average, which is a compliment given that we came in about an hr before the kitchen closed. The key ingredient across all dishes seems to be bread(ing). The stuffed crab and shrimp had about 80/90% breading and balance crab. Lets just call it "escense" of crab in place of actual crab stuffing. Overall service was good, even though it a while for a waitress to stop over initially. Unlike some other posts, we had no problems using the discount coupon from the phone. Nothing special here, so will not be coming back

This place is pretty awesome. Although it seems like a chain, its not. If you have the choice, eat outside. The fishy smells on the inside can get pretty overwhelming. Our waiter was very sweet, attentive, and had great personality. Although I would prefer the prices to be lower, seafood is usualy expensive. So I bit my tongue and ordered plenty of food. I had alligator bites, which were great. I ordered a crawfish and shrimp po boy that was really awesome. They let me substitue the generic fries for corn on the cob (which was a much better choice). What really stood out was their roast beef po boy. Usually roast beef is not my thing, but whatever roast beef they had was so rich and smooth that I was blown away. I was happy eating here. I would suspect you would too.

I ordered the Chicken & Andouille gumbo. The rice comes out on the side, the roux is thick and just the right amount of spicy. The sausage was a little chewy though. Also ordered Boudin balls, which came out 5 on the plate...very good flavor. When I travel I like to try new things, food included, that being said this is one of the rare times that I regretted my decision . The Crawfish Supreme is not one I will NOT try again. It was like having a soggy brick of cornbread topped with sauce. Not a fan. This entrée fell as flat as a ...well, brick! Overall this Cajun restaurant was well worth the trip, I will come back and sample more of their offerings. Service was good. Even though the Saints were playing and lost- to Carolina.

Fantastic food here ! Thank God for Yelp and this place....as they say in Louisiana "ayeeeeeee" - what an awesome meal at this shrine to authentic Cajun food; and the price! CANT BEAT IT ! Our team is down here on a mine installation job and we yelped this place, I had the crawfish supreme and bread pudding Again I say ayeeeeeee ! DAMN THAT WAS GOOD - go here and smile with delight (and remember to tip your waitress - she hauls heavy plates of great food all day long).

I visited this restaurant because of the YELP reviews. Thank you Yelpers! Boudin Balls were delicious!!!! The Etouffee was ehhh. Nothing to get excited about. The rice tasted like instant rice but it wasn't that big of a deal. Fried crawfish was good! The best part was my boyfriends crawfish fettuccini alfredo. DELICIOUSSSS! We wanted to cry when we had to throw our leftovers away because our road trip back home was too long & when we did have the chance to eat, we forgot a fork!!!!!

A place for locals and tourists alike. Casual, clean and fun atmosphere, with some of the best traditional Cajun grub in town. It's not a hard-core Cajun place, yet it's authentic & totally approachable. It's got the right amount of pop, without feeling like a Disneyland facade. The plates are piled high with things like shrimp, catfish, crawfish, alligator, oysters, frog legs, etc - served up your way. I've never had a bad meal here - and it's always great & served piping hot to the table. They're really cooking, real fresh food in this kitchen, and it shows. For consistently good food, served by friendly people - you simply can't best Crawdaddy's in SBC. From my experience - The BEST fish dinner & crawfish boil in town. Hands down, no contest. Friends tell me the Ribeye steak is great. The crawfish etouffee is quite good also. Crawdaddy's should be your stop, if'n you're cravin' Cajun.

Best Cajun food I've had in years. Really impressed with the food and the service. Our food came out really quickly even though the place was packed. I used the Yelp coupon that was on here and received $3 off our meal.

Great yelp find! Too many menu choices of Cajun cuisine but I settled with the tasty shrimp & oyster gumbo that was packed with meat. The main course was a customer favorite of half-half fried crawfish and crawfish étouffée that was a plentiful portion size and delicious! Wish I had tried the crawfish cornbread, but that gives me an excuse to come back!!

We drove a long way to not get served food. We waited 50 minutes to be told our crawfish would be done in 5 more minutes. I am not sure if it was organization issues with the restaurant or the wait staff but plenty of blame was being thrown around. We left with only the appetizers we ordered being consumed.

We found Crawdaddy's Kitchen refreshingly casual and interesting. The menu had some food choices similar to many of the nicer restaurants in New Orleans. The noise level was pretty high I think I would have enjoyed eating outside. It is obviously a favorite for the locals and family friendly. I will come again.

I give 4 stars for the food. Service was very slow. Unfortunately, they had just run out of crawfish when we were getting seated. It's okay. We stayed and ordered the other menu items. I had the broiled shrimp which was really good! Boudin balls were delish as well. My husband had the shrimp Po boy which I really liked. Next time, we will try the oysters and crawfish (I hope).

Crab cake and étouffée was amazing !!!! My wife had the crawfish supreme ( something like that) .. Also very good though it was a little to salty. My father had a plate of shrimp which was also good. Fried pickles where ...meh... But the services and the ambience were great.

I am a regular at Crawdaddy's. Seriously, when i go there the staff knows me and my family instantly. We've probably been 200+ times. Literally. They are the ONLY place I eat crawfish...PERIOD. Unless I boil them myself, crawdaddy's is the spot for dem bugs. The staff is friendly and are always great. We have been there 200+ times and have had MAYBE 2 bad experiences. That is totally acceptable in my book. The staff works their tail off and as long as crawdaddy's is open, my family will always go there.

It has been a while since my husband and I have been in this restaurant, maybe a year, but we have ordered and had it picked up, and the food is always great. but we dined in tonight, the only thing we received in an hour was our drinks and an appetizer. When the waitress came to refill our drinks, i asked her, had our order been filled, she came back with to go cups and said, that the kitchen never got it. Tonight was not a good night for them. Food A, service D

Cajun cooking in a small town diner style setting. Crawfish were excellent, shrimp was just right - not overlooked or over breaded. Lots of fried food and locals enjoying good Louisiana food. Not much for atmosphere but good menu with all the creole favorites including alligator and frog legs.

Easy convenient location to get to, the staff is amazing, it can get a little to loud in there but that reflects on me cause I like to hear my company when having dinner with them :-) the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! We try to go every week but with the Husband out of town it's now every 2 weeks. Took the in-laws there, it was their 1st time and they said they was done with Shane's and Crawdaddy's kitchen was their new spot.

This was my first visit to CRAWDADDY'S and my last. The service was the worst and they were not busy so there was no excuse. The Crawfish did not come with potatoes or corn. We did not know that you had to order that extra with a extra charge because our waitress did not inform us.The fried shrimp and french fries were cold. I ordered Bread pudding and it was burnt. I did not pay for it and I told the Manager who did not seem to care at all. Very OVERPRICED!!! Save yourself the time and go to a good place.

  • James R.

Service was slow. Took our waitress for-ev-er to bring our menus, and then our drinks ran dry before she even came back around. Be sure to ask what comes with crawfish. Wait staff was too busy to say anything about having to order corn & potatoes along side the crawfish. She left before I could even ask... I have baited hooks with bigger crawfish! They are mixed, but most of them were tiny! We ordered bread pudding, and the sauce had an odor and taste as if it had been scorched. The waitress acknowledged that someone else had said it tasted burnt. REALLY? And you didn't say anything to the management?? Just keep serving it like there is nothing wrong... Drove an hour to eat here. Nevermore!

Wonderful helpful staff! I asked to bring a cake for a celebration and when i arrived I realized that the cake was broken in 3 pieces. I had to hustle and get another cake from a local bakery. The staff was so helpful and sympathetic about the cake and assisted again when i brought the second cake in for dinner. The server (Tiffany I think) was excellent and took great care of us. Also the bartender (a lady) was wonderful and really showed excellent customer service. We had a great time and the food was very good. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the crawfish pistollette was very dry. I believe the bread has changed since my last visit and it just wasn't very good. Everything else was great. I really appreciate the wonderful service from both of the ladies who helped me and I will be back next time I visit Shreveport. Good service staff is hard to find and the owner is very lucky to have staff that cares about his guests.

The best part of our meal was the rice and the Sprite. Seriously. The gumbo tasted burned (like it had been sitting at the bottom of the pot for way too long), the crab cakes were dry and fell apart so it was impossible to eat with a fork. The étouffée and boudin balls were ok, but definitely not anything special.

Came here to eat as a recommendation. From Indiana and always wanting good fresh seafood. I truly enjoyed the food. My server was polite and friendly. The price seemed fair. I tried the catfish, fried oysters, shrimp and fries. Very tasty!! Not a fancy place ....but a place to eat good food.

I was in LA, so I wanted to eat some good ol mudbugs! Restaurant was clean, waitstaff was nice, and attentive-kept my drink full and was there if I needed anything.. I had the 3.5 pound platter. It was great. Some nice sized mudbugs and some were a little small, but tasty nonetheless! 2 potatoes and half a cob of corn. Good sweet tea.

The absolute best crawfish I've ever had, it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in Shreveport.

We drove almost an hour to get to Crawdaddy's because of their great reviews. We got here at 9:45 to be told they're closed. Their website says they close at 10. We called and the woman said they "stop seating at 9:30". THEN PUT THAT ON YOUR WEBSITE! We will never give Crawdaddy's our business. You just lost two customers who always spend a lot of money and tip well.

They never run out of craw dads in Louisiana, and that's great. This place had some good reviews and the they were right for the most part. Why not 5 stars then? The sweet tea was not really sweet and the ranch was definitely from a bottle. Other than those two things, this place would have gotten 5.

I am from Tampa Florida and I don't get the chance often to get Cajun food. I'm tried Crawdaddys Kitchen because of the reviews on Yelp and i see why they have there high ratings. I had the Crawfish etouffee and it was great. I came durning lunch and it was only $8.49. The server was so kind and very friendly. It was real sourthen hospitality.

We drove 2200mi from Quartzsite, AZ to Jackson, MS to see Grand Canyon, White Sands New Mexico, spaceport America and many other interesting places, drive Route 66, and try different cuisines. After crossing Louisiana border, we decided that it was time to have an authentic cajun meal. Crawdaddy's Kitchen was our choice. We liked everything there! My husband didn't like crawfish until he tried Crawdaddy's Kitchen's Fried Crawfish Tails. We also had Gambo & Crawfish Cornbread. Guys! Be careful with Coronita Rita cocktail! ;) it's strong! :) We were tempted by restaurant's desserts display. Chocolate Thunder - warm chocolate pie, cold ice cream, 3 cherries, and plenty of whipped cream! Tasty! We'll definitely come again!

2 whole crawfish were barely the size of a shrimp tail! Food is average at best and overpriced for the taste, portion and service. Big disappointment!

This place is just okay! The place is clean and service is great. We had the crawfish étouffée and is was good but little too creamy. Almost tasted like they use cream of chicken. Alligator was a little salty but we have an extremely low sodium diet so our taste buds may be a little off. It was also over priced at 11.99 for the appetizer. (Says market price on the menu) we didn't ask how much so I guess that's our fault. Also had jambalaya and it was best of what we had but still just okay. Good place with lots of local charm.

First complaint is the use of their check in offer. I was visiting the area for the first time and saw good reviews for this as a cajun must stop. The setting is very tavern like. Plenty of self seating. I tried to use the check in offer of 3$ off but was denied bc I needed a print out of it. It kind of defeats the purpose of a check in offer and going green as Yelp has put it. I was trying to explain that I can't check in from home and then get the offer to print. The waitress was kind enough to ask her manager. I didn't mind as much that I couldn't use it but what was upsetting was the managers attitude about it. It was just mean, rude, and nasty. The fact is, I was in front of her and she still spoke that way. So, my beginning experience wasn't very nice. Now to the food! It was okay. Wasn't wow popping as I hopped for being an outer towner but it was okay. The portions were filling. I got the crawfish étouffée which was alright. I didn't get that Cajuns flare I was looking for. My party ordered the fried platter which wasn't different than any other fried platter you get at any restaurant. I did choose this location bc of the good reviews but I would rate this average. The waitress was very nice but can't say for the manager. The environment if family friendly. Huge floor plan so great for large parties. Looks like a lot of families come by after church. Recommendation? It's okay to get filled up on but looking for at cajun flare in lousiana... Pass.

So disappointed!!! Don't know where all the good reviews come from!! It was Cinco De Mayo but we wanted crawfish not Mexican food. Was excited about this place because of all the great Yelp reviews and that the owners actually read and respond to them. That is where the excitement ends!! While Alicia was very friendly she didn't really seem interested in fulfilling our requests. We asked if they had buckets of beer, she said yes. Cool! We think going to get a break on the price for a bucket. Not!! When the check came it was $24.00 for the bucket. Noticed as we were leaving that they actually have 16 oz drafts for $2.00, wished Alicia had mentioned that, would definitely had gone that way!! We ordered crawfish, specifically said we do not want the ones sitting waiting in an ice chest we want them fresh out of the boiling pot and we are in no hurry we will wait til they are boiling a fresh batch. We will order 2 lbs at a time because we like them hot, typically ordering from 6 to 8 lbs at a sitting, she said "Oh yea, that's the best way". Crawfish came out immediately, were luke warm, not juicy, dry and did I mention luke warm?!! Actually cold before we finished the first two lbs. Yuk!! She asked how they were and we said not that great they weren't hot but would order 2 more lbs if she would make sure we could get them hot, we got a not interested eyes glazing over kind of look. Ok then, we'll try the garlic shrimp appetizer. It came out hot, yea, and had great seasoning, but was way over cooked. Pretty sure this will be our one and only trip to this establishment.

We've eaten at Crawdaddy's a couple of times before and never had any major complaints. Both times the food was decently good but nothing to brag about but I've lived in the heart of Cajun Country and admit I am spoiled...but I can cook better than they can too when I feel like cooking. Crawdaddy's is very close and convenient to me so I really hoped they we would improve so I was trying t o support them. The last time we ate there, and it will be the last time, the crawfish cornbread, which was good both times before, was obviously cooked several days prior, kept in the fridge, and then reheated before bringing it out to our table. The center was still cold and the top was clammy and sticky is the best I can describe it and it tasted unfresh and "off" like it had absorbed other flavors. We had never tried their etouffee before and I love a good etouffee. What they brought out to us was full of very spoiled crawfish. We were so embarrassed that we had brought our in laws this time. We notified the server and received a shoulder shrug from her and a very unconcerned, "I'm sorry you aren't happy with your food". We left the disgusting food on the table, paid our large bill, and ate elsewhere. I even made a post to their Facebook page about it later and they simply deleted my post.

Awesome boiled crawfish and pistolettes! Beer is super cold and service is great! I ate at both Crawdaddy's and Shane's this week, Crawdaddy's was by far the best of the two --- BY FAR!!!

Regarding the food, it's delicious. Having never been to the state of Louisiana, I was excited to experience Cajun/Creole cooking. The decor is appropriate, and the menu is plentiful and inviting. However, my service was not up to par. My waitress was not very attentive at all. I can understand if the place is packed and busy, but it wasn't. To review the experience my drink order was filled and delivered promptly. She came over to take my order and that was it. She never came to refill my drink or offer dessert, as most wait staff does. She never came over to ask how everything was... what if there was something wrong with my order? It's hot outside and would have liked a refill or two of water. I was almost finished with my meal and she just walked by, put a check down, and walked off. I paid my bill and left. Your business could have easily gotten additional revenue from a dessert order, but I was turned off to the matter. I watched as the other waitresses cater to their customers better and would have enjoyed the experience much more. Your food is great, but your one particular server wasn't.

We drove over 60 miles to try this place out. We were overlooked by several servers; it didn't matter that we were there. The seat yourself option doesn't work there. Finally after 7 or 8 minutes someone finally stopped and took our order. I don't have anything good to say about this establishment so if you've read this much you should have the gist of what I will probably go into too much detail about...

This was the first time I've visited Crawdaddy's and wow. Crawfish was superior to any that I've ever ate. Service was awesome. It's a place where the locals eat so, I knew it had to be great. Definitely will be going back. Keep up the great work!!

Had to take away a star because I ordered the wrong thing, which was totally my fault, wanting a last taste of Cajun before leaving Louisiana on the way to Dallas. They had lunch specials, so we chose from that menu. We started with the Boudin balls, spicy pork, rice and herbs formed into balls and deep fried, and they were different but not as tasty as we thought they would be and a little dry. My wife ordered the fish and shrimp, and was delighted to find that the fish was catfish, and I tasted both and they were wonderful. However, I chose the gumbo and crawfish pie combo, and they were neither very tasty. The gumbo was just too rich and did not have a good flavor like I am used to, and the crawfish pie was dry and tasteless. However, they do have a full bar, and my wife had a perfect spicy Bloody Mary, and I ordered the frozen margarita which knocked my socks off, so it made the inedible food a little better (although I actually did eat it all because I was hungry.) Stick with the boiled crawfish (as many were enjoying around us) or the fried catfish or shrimp if you go.

We had the fried alligator, crawfish étouffée, shrimp & oyster gumbo, and crab cakes & étouffée. The fried alligator with the spicy seasoning on the side was great! It was juicy and not oily. There were no complaints about the crawfish étouffée, but the person with the gumbo thought the oysters tasted funny. The crab cakes & étouffée was delicious, but came out hot/warm. Parts got cold quickly. Kind of nit-picky. The service was great and we would go there again!

My boyfriend and I went here after reading some reviews. It was spectacular! Very good authentic cajun food. This was the first time we had tried crawdaddies and it was fun to learn how to eat them and they were really fresh and delicious. The owner, Holly, stopped by our table and asked how we were enjoying everything. I mentioned that I loved their patio outside and she said "Follow me and I'll show you more of it." Super friendly Lady & made us feel very welcome in her restaurant. We had the alligator appetizer which was in "Market price." That was something like $9.99ish for the appetizer. It was a pretty good portion for an app. The crawfish etoufee was delicious!!! And, the fried crawfish tails were good also. They had a nice menu, with a good selection of Louisiana food all the way to a good child's menu. They have a little grassy yard out back for kids to play (all the adults were around watching them & was being very responsible and all having fun). As we backed out slowly, one child yelled to another that "car coming" and I heard a Dad tell her "Good job." It is a really nice patio area and an outdoor area for smokers. Very cool place and we both agreed that we would come back to Shreveport just to eat here again. Loved it.

We really enjoyed our meal. It reminded me of south Louisiana road houses. The catfish smothered in crawfish étouffée is so good, very rich and king size portion , I could not eat it all. There are better marinated crab claws at other places, loved the crawfish corn bread and the boiled shrimp was spiced just right! Look forward to trying other things on the menu! It's a dive just like I like it! Beer was good and cold too.

Came in on a Friday night and it was packed. Crawfish was around $7 a pound and it must be early in the season or not a good selection because the crawfish was small. Spice was good. What I don't understand is that if you're sharing in a party of four and they only give you 2 potatoes and 1 corn. Then if you order more for $2 they give you 1 more potato and 1 corn. A lil shiesty in my opinion. The cajun fries were bland. Drinks were good. Staff was nice.

Very disappointed with this establishment. The posted sign noted that it's self-seating. Upon sitting, several waiters passed by us several times; no menus; no greeting; no nothing. We were seconds away from walking out. The crawfish was super tiny! It was barely worth the effort. The crawfish prices here were the highest in the area. $6/LB! Other places were under $5. The portions here are also tiny. The crawfish pie and gumbo was over $10 and it was barely large enough to be an appetizer. Based on poor service and tiny portions, I can not recommend this place.

Received non-existent service. Been going to this location for eight years. When they remodeled quality left the building. We left after ten minutes of zero service and three people rolling silverware. Thanks crawdaddys. We will try the other dozen or more options in Shreeveport.

I got the grilled fish with a side of jambalaya. The cajun spiced fish was tender and flavorful, but the highlight of the meal was the jambalaya. My girlfriend got the boiled shrimp, potatoes, and corn on the cob with cajun spices which she seemed to enjoy, though shelling all the shrimp took so long that some of the food was cold by the end. She did say that, although tasty, the margarita was too small for the price ($6). We shared an appetizer of crawfish cornbread: tasty but needed more butter. Service was good and we were greeted right away upon entering.

I just recently ordered from this place. Having lived around this area for the past 4 yrs, I have never been to this place. Now I that I've tasted their food, I now know that I should've kept my first instinct. I ordered the dinner of fried crawfish that comes with fries and hush puppies (NO FRIED PICKLES EVEN THOUGH THEIR MENU SAYS SO) as well as onion rings and crawfish corn bread. Everything tasted STALE like it was cooked at noon even though I ordered it around 7pm (clearly hours before they are closed). The onion rings batter was terrible and made me stop eating it after the first bite. The fries were hard and cold. The crawfish and hush puppies were also cold and without any unique flavor. TERRIBLE FOOD EXPERIENCE!

Nothing to write home about! I also have to complain that their staff was not the most attentive and had absolutely NO idea how to accept the $3 check-in offer - they wanted a printed copy of the discount. Isn't the purpose of the discount to get people to go and 'check-in' from Yelp! Needless to say, I was DETERMINED to get the offer and had to get the manager involved. The food was ok. Serving sizes could have been better and the food was acceptable (I have definitely had better quality and larger portion cajun food elsewhere). It is ok, but I likely wouldn't return.

We found Crawfish Daddy's online while looking for Cajun restaurants after the Duck Dash 5k. The service was great and the waitress was very patient as we took a while to place our order. We don't get to LA often, so we indulged in several appetizers to start. The spicy fried alligator was good, although the pieces were so small you got a great deal of breading. The boudin balls were definitely the best thing we ordered; so good in fact, we ordered two of the boudin links as well. The hush puppies were delicious and the order was quite sizable for the price. We probably should have stuck with appetizers though as the entrees did not live up to expectations. The red beans and rice had little flavor. The menu said it had ham and sausage in it. Not sure what it had as all the meat looked the same and was flavorless. The gumbo was next. Gag! Tasted like it had fingernail polish remover in it. We finished the meal with bread pudding which was good, not great, once you got past the rock hard outer edges. Overall, it was more a taste of LA than we get in TX.

Love this place, nice staff and great food. Pricey but worth it! We drive about 3hrs to get here quite often, and always please the taste buds. But another 4hrs to NOLA and the prices and variety gets so much cheaper. It's a good middle ground for me though to get a taste of home...

So, first time to Shreveport or LA for that matter, and I found the reviews of this place to be pretty good, so we tried it. i hear big things about crawfish and was really excited to try it. The restaurant experience would have been a lot better if our server would at least listen to us when we talked and tried to ask questions.... maybe when I said this is my first time trying crawfish, she was not interested.??!! She would give us no recomendations and only wanted our order as soon as possible.... so we ordered the fried crawfish deal... basically a bunch of fried nothingness ontop of fries. 2 beers each and a $50 tab later I was pissed!!! I hate doing this, but her name was Tonya! thanks for nothing.

I'm visiting the parents for Christmas. And I always cram in at least one (sometimes more) visits to Crawdaddy's Kitchen while here. It's perfectly Louisiana to me. I almost always order the same thing, and did again last night. I get 3.5 pounds of crawfish with corn and potatoes. And yes, I got it last night...in December. While they aren't the massive ones you can get in the late spring and summer months, there were a good number of large ones amid some smaller friends. And they were all seasoned and cooked perfectly. The shells were easy to crack (not too hard, not too soft, due to good boiling) and I ate my way through spicy, Cajun deliciousness. Sometimes I get five pounds (or add an additional two after eating my order), but last night, this was just perfect. The only drawback to ordering crawfish in December is the price. But hey, I live in NYC and don't get them often. So it's worth it. And my Abita Amber was the perfect compliment. My dad was pleased with his order: shrimp and oyster gumbo. He made a request of the server to make sure that the oysters were included. I guess that perhaps he's an an issue before. But they came out (and she even checked to ask). He also had a fried crawfish pie that looked mighty tasty. Mom got a shrimp boil, which also came with corn and potatoes. It looked to be seasoned nicely ad she was pleased. Although we didn't get dessert, I know that the bread pudding here is divine (seriously gooey, rich and with a perfect creme anglaise) and that the fried alligator appetizer can make a lover even out of a skeptic. I've actually only had one thing here that I didn't like. When visiting in October, there were no boiled crawfish to be had and I tried the etouffee. I had tremendously high hopes after loving other dishes here so much. However, it just fell flat. It wasn't spicy (even though I'd requested it) and was just lacking in flavor over equally bland rice. I was disappointed, but maybe it was just a one-off experience. I was pleased that last night was the usual remarkable that I've come to expect. Servers here are friendly. They have a rewards program as well, if you sign up and remember to bring a little card (money off and a gift certificate on your birthday, I think). And the ambiance is just want I want: rugged, down home...and undeniable flavor to match. Until next time...

Good fried catfish. Cole slaw wasn't appetizing. I'd go more often if the Cajun music weren't so loud and annoying! I mean, a little bit of that goes a long way.

My boyfriend makes better crawfish than this place. The waitress way very nice and told us that the crawfish were small since it was the beggining of the season. It didn't matter to me because I've eaten plenty of small crawfish before so I ordered 1 pound (I usually eat 6). We got fried mushrooms for an appetizer. I think they might have been frozen. The crawfish were overcooked and underseasoned. I was dissapointed. Not very good. They tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. People from out of town may not know any better. Next came my crawfish etoufee and fried tails. I've had way better. Actually I've had better etoufee out of the frozen aisle at the grocery store. The atmosphere was neat and the waitress was nice but I won't be back again. It wasn't worth the money. Might try Shane's Acadiana next time. Or cook our own.

Wow. We came down for a wedding from NY and stopped by because of the good reviews. What a great place! The food is so good and the atmosphere is perfectly southern. We had a group of 12 and sat down right on some picnic tables on the outdoor-ish patio. Between all of us we ordered up crawfish, friend, boiled and etoufee, alligator, friend green tomatoes and catfish. All was delicious and very inexpensive. Will definitely stop by again next time we're in the area!

Great food! Great atmosphere! Great service! We had fried frog legs, boudin balls, crawfish kickers and tasted the ettufee! Fist time for a lot of these and they we all so tasty and fresh! Drinks were good and strong too! Best food in LA!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The atmosphere is really cool and cajun-y. My husband and I like to come on Saturadays and have dinner and a few drinks. I recently ordered the crawfish for the first time and it was sooooo good. My husband got some kind of fish that was pretty good too. Our server was very nice and prompt and added to another great experience.

This is where I first had fried alligator, which basically tastes like calamari, with more of a chewy consistency. Awesome Southern cooking with a variety of choices. My husband can have several bowls of their crawfish etouffee. It opens late, so we might come here again for some hot supper (that's how they say it in the South for dinner)...love their lingo & Southern hospitality!!! It will be hard to say good-bye and head back to California, but not sad to leave the mother-in-law or is it monster-in-law hahaha.

Awesome! We stopped here yesterday on our road trip from Atlanta to Santa Fe. Had the crawfish étouffée, crab cakes, and fried green tomatoes. All were good but the étouffée is not to be missed.

Every year I drive 2000 miles from Hollywood, CA to Shreveport, LA. To visit family? NO! I go to eat boiled crawfish and crawfish etouffee ("a-two-fay") at Crawdaddy's Kitchen (eventually, I get around to seeing the family). There is no better eatin' than crawfish etouffee! Of course the fried alligator is top notch along with their specialty boiled crawfish! I've probably had everything on their menu, and nothing is ordinary. The restaurant itself is a small, rustic place (think House of Blues without the blaring music) with Mardi Gras posters and beads decorating the walls. The service is very friendly... very "southern". Their selection of beer is pretty decent (nothing better than 3 Lbs. of boiled "mud bugs" and a Corona), and if you sign up for their "mud bug club" they'll even send you discount coupons on your birthday. Crawdaddy's is worth the drive.
