Awesome blackened chicken! The perfect taste and tenderness. The staff (especially the waitress) were all very sweet and welcoming as well.

Though the restaurant was recommended to me for great steaks and Louisiana cooking, I read on the front window OMG burgers and my interest was sparked. As a burger lover, I was interested in seeing if the burger could back up the bold claim. I ordered the cheeseburger with sautéed onions and mushrooms, and was pleased to find the the buger lived up to the claim. The burger was juicy, tasty, and all the ingredients complemented each other perfectly. I have been to many distinguished burger restaurants and would put this burger ahead of all of them. I recommend Becca's to all burger lovers in the Shreveport area.

Went to this place about two years ago, and thought it was very good. Went back last week, and it was lousy. We got the boiled shrimp, and it was exactly that. Shrimp boiled in water. Just plain old, small shrimp, boiled in plain old water. No seasoning. No crab boil. No flavor. I can't believe this place is in Louisiana! I might expect bland, dinky shrimp in Idaho, but certainly not in Louisiana. The shrimp came with some gelatinous cocktail sauce that was in a small, plastic cup. If you turned the cup upside down, nothing would come out for at least three or four minutes. And then, it would all plop out in one big block. Pretty gross, if you ask me. Sad to see the place go downhill. Oh, and they apparently lost their liquor license. That didn't matter to me, but she said that was the main reason they weren't selling boiled crawfish, because they lost their liquor license and couldn't sell beer, I don't really get that excuse, but whatever.

I highly recommend this place any time you are near it. It is one of my favorite Cajun restaurants in Louisiana. Every time I drive through Shreveport I make it a point to stop here. My favorite is the shrimp Po boy. I've also had the crabmeat au gratin which is different from every other Cajun restaurant that I've ever had it but it was also delicious. It was more like a gravy served on rice. I have recommended this place to other people who have eaten many other things on their menu and they say the food is outstanding. But I just can't make myself order much other then the shrimp Po boy because it's so good.

Jessica was very helpful walking me through the menu and making suggestions since I was just passing through. Seafood gumbo was full of cajan meat but a bit watery. Stuffed shrimp was tasty and unique. Wish I was in a group to try some different dishes.

Out of crackers for the gumbo. Said they make SAMs runs on Mondays and wouldn't go early. We got the fried seafood platter. Not bad but nothing special. Enough for 2 of us. The stuffed crab and stuffed shrimp tasted like it was frozen.

1st time in Louisiana and found this place by accident. We all tried the red beans & rice, chicken & sausage gumbo, the 1 lb. hamburger, and the shrimp platter. The sautéed shrimp rocked as well as the bbq shrimp. Gumbo was great too. Small but comfortable place seems like a hole in the wall place with great customer service. It is a little pricey but it was tasty!

Traveling thru Shreveport and we wanted some authentic Cajun food... wow! Everything was great! Love the fried crab finger appetizers. The cold mugs with each beer were ice cold. If you don't you don't like spicy food... why are you there? Get the bread pudding at the end of the night...but one is plenty for 4 to share. We loved it!

If I could give no stars I would ..... I'm previously employed up at Beccas and quit on my own accord because of the following , horrible cooking conditions , roaches galore sometimes in the food , inches of grease all over the floor , doesn't clean anything properly , and the owner is very racist and sexist towards women ... I advise all not to eat here for 1 there is no real snapper , it's all usually out of date when he gets it out , and it's overall disgusting place to eat or work .... he treats his employees horribly and screws them out of money , namely I was 1 of them , he cusses out customers as well as their children , he's just a pathetic individual all together ... and I am in process right now with trying to get him shut down .... please I advise all to not eat here anymore or ever ...

Was ok. Expected a little more for the $$. Red beans and rice were good; shrimp salad - just ok. May try again for dinner next time I'm in Shreveport.

A horrible experience. The gumbo was very watery. Salad a la iceberg. Edible. Ordered grilled snapper came blackened. Undercooked. Sent back ; oh and the baked potatoes were orange. Decided to not partake. The manager came to get our input and then charged full price. Very distasteful experience in all ways. Avoid at all costs.

The Redfish Barataria is to die for. Service is great and it has a bar. What else do you need.

Becca's doesn't look like much on the outside, but once you step in....wonderful! There were four of us there....we all got something different and it was all good. I didn't have one complaint about the service (waitress was great with us) or the food. Delicious!!! I thought the spices on it were just right....even my sis who doesn't like hot food loved her crawfish etoufee. We will go back and eat there. I highly recommend this restaurant. Nice to know we have a good place to eat on the west side of town.

I miss calling on GE Shreveport as I miss Becca's...I spent four years traveling to GE SHV working with those fine folks, and we generally found our way to Becca's for lunch. Never had a bad meal, the gator bites were excellent, the gumbo was awesome...I liked the fact the locals took me there and said this was a place we needed to try...as someone said, looks like nothing from the outside - a nondescript place in a strip mall, but delicious on the inside...I tried as much of their menu as I could over the four years and I never found something I didn't like.

Wow great food! Started off with a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. Nice and hot not too spicy. Had a cheeseburger medium which is rare these days nice and juicy had to take it home too much will finish later.

Becca's This place at first seems friendly but you'll soon realize they try to force the most expensive food , the servers only seem interested in getting to to buy expensive food which I can only imagine they believe the higher your bill the more they get in there pocket without and real care for you enjoying your visit here. If you want over priced food that's that that good and too spicy have at it. Everything is expense and its not Even quality .

From the outside, Becca's Steaks & Seafood is one more storefront in a row at Pines and I-20. Inside, however, the south Louisiana fishing shack decor signals the good Cajun food, and Becca's doesn't disappoint. We were one of only a few patrons at 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. Salad and a cup of crawfish stew arrived in minutes. The stew was mildly seasoned -- those who dislike Cajun cuisine might find it excessive (but then what are you doing ordering it?), but it was tasty. The shrimp were fine; lightly breaded and cooked appropriately. The highlight was the Snapper Barataria -- plenty of seasoned red snapper, perfectly cooked, with a shrimp and crab cream sauce that capably complemented the fish. Worth trying!

We came here because of a recommendation by the front desk staff at the hotel we stayed at in Shreveport. The location is interesting...it's situated in a strip mall that was almost completely empty/abandoned when we got here at around 8pm on a Tuesday. We were seated right away since it wasn't crowded in here at all, and the service was prompty and very friendly. I ordered the seafood gumbo, and my dad ordered the fried oysters. The gumbo was decent, though the portion was fairly small for the price. I mixed in a little bit of hot sauce to give it an extra kick. I was still pretty hungry after I finished my bowl, even though I ordered the larger size and ate some of my dad's food. The oysters were nothing special...I would have expected better considering we were in Louisiana. Definitely would order something else here before trying these again. I'd give this place probably only 2 or 2.5 stars for the food and the value, but the service was very friendly so I'll round up.

Tried this place based on some reviews here and it did not dissapoint. Not much from the outside but it's what's on the plate that matters. I was in LA and wanted some crawfish. They started me with the crawfish stew which was really nice with a light spice. Next came my plate running over with fried crawfish and ettoufe. Yum. Splash it with a little of LA's finest hot sauce found on every table and away we went. Good stuff here. Give it a try. No frills, good eats.

Plain on the outside -- Delicious on the inside Great fried oysters. Perhaps the best red beans and rice I've ever eaten. Friendly staff.

OMG. This place was terrible. Run down and just plain dirty-looking when we walked in. We should have left then. Asked what kind of wine (since there is no wine list). Answer: red and white. Do you have Chardonnay? I'll see. Yes. How much for a bottle? I'll see. $28. We order to totle. Our waitress goes to the back then runs out to the store (but can't buy a bottle on Sunday). We settle for two glasses. That's all the white they have. Order seafood and salad. Salad comes out white and blanched from being frozen. We are tired at listening to the staff yell at each other, and join other disgruntled customers. We complain then walk out. Don't go to this place. Surely there's something better. There HAS to be.

I was told about this place by the the front desk staff at my hotel. When i arrived i was greeted warmly by the staff and seated quickly. The menu is not large; however, ample enough for a Cajun aficionado to have a difficult time choosing. I was not in the mood for a heavy meal this evening so i had a cup of seafood gumbo and a craw fish poorboy. Both items were delicious and i felt fairly priced. If you are looking for fast food this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend a little more and get quality food as well as great service then you should definitely check this place out. I personally will be stopping by again my trip to Shreveport.

Absolutely delicious! The place definitely looked sketchy outside, but was kitchy on the inside. It was filled with regulars, so the waitress was a little chilly to an obvious outsider in business attire. Not what I expected from the usual southern hospitality, which is why I dropped a star. However, the food made up for all of it.

This review is for the Bossier location. I took my in-laws here for authentic Louisiana cuisine, and I was not disappointed. Had the alligator tail, chicken and sausage gumbo, and the fried catfish filets. For dessert it was the bread pudding, and that was amazing. It had an almost caramel, sugary glaze on it that I've never experienced from any other recipe. The food is a bit pricy, but well worth it!

Dusty facility located behind a Mc Donalds and next to a Family Dollar. Seafood Gumbo - Good Shrimp Platter - Good Crawfish Po Boy - Average

Like someone else said... Not much to look at on the outside but delicious on the inside. Been here twice and been pleasantly surprised each time. I am from Lafayette and know good cajun food. Beccas is the best I have had in this area.

I went to Becca's for lunch while in town on business. I had the shrimp gumbo and the crawfish poboy. Both items were good, not great. Service was very quick, but at 11am there were few other patrons. It seems slightly overpriced for the quality and ambiance, however I would recommend it.
