This place has all the fried catfish and popcorn shrimp you could want in a lunch buffet. They also have some fried chicken too I think. They have sides like green beans, corn, fries, & hush puppies. My favorite is the peach cobbler here and the potato salad is good too. Proves are okay for the buffet. They seem on the more expensive side, like $10 a person but it's doable. If you come for dinner, when they don't have the buffet, I definitely recommend the crawfish if in season. It's some of the cheapest & freshest I've found in Ruston!

WTF? Over priced and greasy crap buffet. The buffet is the size of a small salad bar and the food is mediocre at best. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. The staff is friendly and great but the food blows. For real.

Stopped at Scott's on our way home. We didn't know what to expect because the parking lot was almost empty. We decided to take a chance, and I'm glad we did. The fried catfish and shrimp were delicious. I've had swai (the Asian whitefish other reviewers referenced), so I know for sure I was eating catfish. The french fries were cooked perfectly, and I could've eaten 100 hush puppies! My only gripe is about the turnip greens. They were so disappointly bland. I would have preferred to have a can of Glory Greens. All in all, the family and I would give it another try. But, we know better than to order turnip greens.

This is the better of the 2 locations. Order off the menu even if there's a buffet. Not a huge selection, but better than your average seafood place. Can take a while because it's usually cooked after ordering. Biggest issue with this location is the location. It's nearly 2 miles north of interstate. There's a good bit of parking and a drive thru as well. The other location is on California and called "Scott's Express", and looks fast foody. This is in a building that has never succeeded. I guess the staff at this location don't really do anything, because they always ask you to pull up from the drive thru. This one rarely has customers due to bad service.

Service was really good. We had boiled crawfish and they were over cooked and tasted like buttered garlic. They were not very good. Would not recommend the boiled crawfish, were only able to peel half of what I paid for.

Scott's is a good example of the Southern seafood/ catfish restaurants that are typical of the region. I eat here every time I come back to my hometown and it never disappoints. I had the fried oysters and shrimp while everyone else had a combination platter. It was all good with fresh ingredients. If you are jonesing for a truly Southern experience, then Scott's will not disappoint.

Pretty mediocre food. Ordering is done at the front, and you pay right after you order. There's a sofa fountain where you fill up your drinks, so it's more like a fast food restaurant than a sit down restaurant. After you order, you get a number that you put at your table so the server can bring you your food. Ate at 5 pm on a Fri and the place was not busy at all. It's a large restaurant as well. Had a combo plate with whole fish and crab cakes. Wasn't warned that the whole fish was complete with bones. It just looked like a deep fried fish fillet. Broke a chunk off and put it in my mouth but then had to spit it out due to all the bones. Crab cakes weren't much better as it was very greasy and over fried. Sides were hush puppies, Cole slaw, and a loaded baked potato. Butter comes in prepackaged containers as did the source cream. Loaded means cheddar chess and bacon on the side that you add yourself. I was disappointed with the meal considering the price with tip came close to $20.

Stopped on our way home to California. It's only 1.5miles off hwy. 20. Awesome catfish and oyster po' boy. The sides were the star attraction, potato salad, white beans, hushpuppies, and dirty rice. All made in-house and spiced perfectly.
