Only other reason why I return to Monroe besides visiting family is so that I can get my hands on that St. Patrick burger with fries and of course, CURRY RANCH! Enoch's has and will always be my favorite pub. Everyone knows each other when they come here. Some of the best bartenders and friendly customers!

We went for dinner Friday night. We aren't big into the bar but went for a great burger and weren't disappointed. The food was great and I can't explain how good the Guinness Gravy is!!! We will be back.

On our drive east, we stopped at Enoch's for dinner. Our dinners were delicious. My wife had the Park Avenue which consisted of a grilled portabella with sautéed mushrooms, provolone cheese, and grilled onions. Her side was a tossed salad. I had Murphy's Muffaletta which consisted of ham, salami, Irish corned beef, provolone cheese, cream cheese, mustard, and homemade olive mix. My side was the steak fries. Both of the sandwiches were inside delicious bread. Only minus was that they had no iced tea. Service was very good.

Love this place and have for many years. Great food and outstanding atmosphere. The service is beyond outstanding. They even offer a really good variety of musical entertainment. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend it.

Haven't tried the food yet but the atmosphere there is great. The service there is above and beyond what other places in the same category offer. Greeted with a smile and treated even better, this is why I love this place. At no time did I find myself waiting to get a drink as the staff there are on top of their game and usually get to you in time to get you your next drink promptly (now that's service). Growing up in Syracuse I was surrounded by Irish pubs and grills, we are a very Irish area and are very keen on what makes a pub a pub. Enoch's does it right with their set up and everything seems to be in order. I would plan on taking more trips out there but not really knowing anyone down here makes me only go once in a great while. When I do go however I enjoy my time like no other. Great COLD drinks and I would need to order food at some point but I'm sure it's just as good. Great music and great people. Enoch's is the only place I've found in Monroe that gives me that Irish pub I so dearly miss back home.

As everyone else notes this place is small. I was doubting peoples concept of small when I decided to visit but listen here, this place is SMALL! I would picture it more like a dinner that also serves as a bar. The grills are right behind the counter. The forte here seems to be burgers. As mentioned in previous reviews, the burgers are original and unique. I really enjoyed the avocado and jalapeño burger. I like how just a few people here can make it feel like a happening place. It's a nice environment. If I'm ever within a half hour drive of this place I will definitely visit again

I would recommend this place to anyone. It is a regular hangout of mine. The burgers and fries are STRAIGHT. UP. ADDICTIVE. Very much worth their moderate price range. You pay a little more because you're getting better than fast-food quality, by far. Enoch's is small with a GARGANTUAN following. Yet, no matter what, those servers have met me with nothing but friendliness and energy. One of them evern remembered me from my previous visit about a week ago and asked me how I was. How those servers go through lines out the door, a constantly packed restaurant and still keep that friendliness is beyond me. They are angels. Enoch's also has great live musis from local bands on a regular basis. These are quality acts, too. It also comes complete with TVs for you to watch games and conversate. They also have lots of outdoor seating, both heated and not. I've also had wonderful group dinners in their quieter back room. Bottom line is, if you're ever in Monroe: GO. TO. ENOCH'S. That is all. :)

Pros: Traveling on business. Good atmosphere and service. Open late which is nice. Had their special burger and the waitress recommended the nachos for an appetizer. Def a local spot. Cons: Limited beers on tap. Food is ok. Nothing special. Wouldn't be place to go if health conscious.

Excellent every time!! Nachos are the bomb! Guinness on tap always with the perfect head! My watering hole!!!

Clearly a local joint, but great burgers for a fair price with a friendly staff. Not one of those fancy burger joints, just a casual bar with a great variety of burgers. Even though I could tell this was more of a local place I never felt out of place, and the servers were really nice and courteous.

Best Burger place in Monroe and the atmosphere is great for a bar. They have indoor and outdoor seating and many nights throughout the week they have live music performed. It's a wonderful hangout place. They have a very large selection of beers, especially Irish.

My favorite place of all time! Best burger in town! Can't go wrong with the St. Patrick avocado burger!

The only hangout spot worth going to in Monroe! Great burgers, go Full Irish! Their fries are also yummy, and I'm not a fan of thick - cut fries. The staff is so fun, my boyfriend was a regular there when he lived in Monroe and we were greeted like celebrities! Great beer selection for such a tiny place in a tiny, awful town.

Walking into Enoch's two things were apparent. 1. This was a locals' neighborhood bar 2. I will be posed with the question "You ain't from around here are you?". There is a beer garten outside with several picnic tables. The inside is dark with a small bar. I stopped in on a Monday night and folks were focused on the football games. I asked a few questions about the wine (which was basically a white and a red) and instead of answering my annoying questions, bartender Johnny just replied assuredly "It's gooood". He was right. They cook the food on a grill clearly visible to anyone sitting at the bar. I kept hearing the sizzle of meat and with the enticing smell lingering in the air, I had to order a burger. I asked Johnny what is special about the burgers, he replied "They just good". He was right. Collins style (their plainest of the burger offerings). It came with grilled onions on top and steak fries with gravy on the side. I asked for a side of the curry sauce (sort of like a ranch curry). OMG, OMG OMG...the burger was perfect. The large steak fries were hot all the way through (no cold spots hidden in the middle), and seasoned well and tasted awesome in the curry sauce! Looking as if I am about to cry the bartender asks me how it is. I only could utter "so good so good". A local and the bartender seemed amused and snickered. The only thing I was not crazy about was the beer selection but I am sure they know what sells there and they did have the Irish staple of Guinness. If you find yourself in Monroe, you must stop by Enoch's and get the burger! It was one of the best burger and fries I have ever had.

Recommended to me by the good folks at Cotton and it was a solid local joint. Fair prices, good service and a crowd the kept me entertained. If I lived here, this would be my third home (after Cotton). We could use some places like this in South Florida. Friendly atmosphere and live music, but you could actually hear the TVs and conversations.

Enoch's by far has the best burgers in town!!! Make sure to go early (5pm) on Tuesdays since it's their 2 for 1 burger night and the place gets packed quickly since it's so small! My fave is the Avocado burger with fries & mmMm Guinness gravy sauce is soooo addictive! I swear they put drugs in it to get you hooked!

The year was 2005. Enoch's burgers were the best I'd had, but I decided to take a pilgrimage and find the country's best burger. For the next few years, every big city I visited, every college town I urinated behind a dumpster in, and every mill town I drove through, I sought out the best burger they had to offer. From Austin to Chicago, from Crystal Springs to Eugene, I tried them all. I tried them all but still nothing could compare to that wonderful burger at Enoch's. No apple smoked bacon or blue cheese crumbles could hold a candle to their beefy delight. I spent years chasing the greener grass, only to find it in my own backyard. You know, metaphorically. Enoch's doesn't actually put grass on their burgers. At least I don't think so. Anyway, yeah, killer burgers. And the staff are just about the best folks around.

Best Burgers EVER! 2-for-1 Tuesdays! St Patty's Burger with a McSorley's dark. Get there early or you'll wait like an hour, which is ok if you're drinking but not if you're hungry. The burgers are also better early on Tuesday. The chicken sandwiches are also really great if you're not in a beef mood. I wish they'd bring back the Reuben!

Oh my God, ya gotta go to Enoch's. When I go home, it's the place I always hook up with a friend. It's a go-to place for us because it has great atmosphere and yummy food. I like spicy so I'm always up for the jalapeno burger. You have to shout to be heard if there's a good crowd. Even on an off-night you can depend on a row of regulars at the bar. What I love about Enoch's is that it is unpretentious. It is not trying to be anything but a corner pub with a reliable bar menu. You can find musical entertainment some nights. Other nights, the entertainment is all in the storytellers holding down the bar stools. Everytime I go in, I am guaranteed to see at least one if not two familiar faces. For me, it's a Cheers-type place. So the short story is if you want a good brew and a burger, head down to Enoch's when you are in Funroe.

I wish I could give Enoch's a better review. But the owners just refuse to courteous to people other than their chosen patrons. That said, I'll say that the burgers are delicious, and it's one of the best bars in Monroe. But the owners need to learn some customer service.

This place offers a very interesting dining menu in addition to a fair selection of beers on tap or bottled. Most everything is reasonably priced, as Sira mentioned. I'm a vegetarian and I'm very pleased at what Enoch's offers especially for vegetarians on their menu. What I've had has always come out fresh and warm and tasty. The fries are awesome, to boot. To avoid the crowded interior, I just sit in the patio area for some fresh air. I like to go on Fridays, haven't been on Tuesdays which I hear are quite crowded, as echoed by previous reviewers.

Best bar in Monroe hands down. They have an excellent, homey environment and they keep the live music fresh. The burgers are quite good and their staff is very friendly. The more times you go there the happier you will be. The only gripe I have is the amount of smoking that goes on. Thankfully they have a good size patio area to escape the poison air.

This place has amazing burgers. My friend and I both had the St. Patrick's Avocado Burger and we were blown away. So delicious! Good fries too, and lots of beers on tap. The prices are really reasonable and the service was good and friendly. We missed the live music, but heard that it was good. The only draw back is the huge number of stinky smokers puffing away at every table. Edited to add: Don't go on a Tuesday! The quality goes way down and the wait is unreasonable.

Love Enoch's! 2 for 1 burgers on Tuesday are a great deal and the burgers are delicious. BUT, don't come in on Tuesday thinking you'll get your burger in less than an hour. If you're coming on Tuesday, just come in, sit down, relax, get a beer and enjoy youself. Your at a bar!! Don't bust the waiters balls because you had to wait 45 minutes for your burger where are 4 million people there. If you want your burger lickity split, come on another night! Because yes, they do serve burgers every night. Also, they have vegetarian sandwiches and great appetizers. It is small on the inside and people do smoke inside, but there is a non-smoking back room and a huge patio area outside. There is also a wide variety of folks that go here. Could be anybody from the 87 year old man who plays in the bluegrass band to the regulars to college kids. The redhead bartender/owner's daughter Molly is great! Get to know her and she'll always treat you right. She also organizes Celtic Fest in October every year.

Another missed favorite from Home. I LOVE ENOCH's. We practically lived here. Tuesday's we would have 2 for 1 burgers. Lovin' the County Mayo, guinness gravy and the loaded fries. YUM!! they use REAL ingredients and the the portion sizes are Massive. I am tellin' you, People in Louisiana know how to eat. If you are ever in Monroe, you have to stop here. The food and drinks are amazing and the people are great. This is a family ran operation and they all work here(At least they did when I lived in Monroe). This is where I had my first car bomb..it is like chocolate milk of beers. If you get claustrophobic, go early. It tends to get crowded at night. I sit on the patio if it is too busy. You have to shout over ppl inside, but outside you can catch up up with friends and the bartenders never forget about us. They bring the drinks like clock work. From time to time, you will live music. not always the best, but it creates the pub.

It's a nice Irish bar. It was really smokey inside, but I think they may have passed a no-smoking law now. The drinks are good. The environment is conducive to conversations and catching up. It's a west monroe high school reunion in that place 24/7. There are definitely lots of regulars!

A very popular Irish pub and grill in the heart of Monroe's Garden District. They serve good nachos, sandwiches, and burgers. Their burgers are really good, although not as big as some other places. On Tuesdays they have 2 for 1 burgers which a lot of people come for; you'll want to come in early for that otherwise it can be hard to find a table and you may be in for a long wait for your food. The place is very small and VERY cramped on the inside which takes away from the ambience, but there is a big patio area to sit at. They have a wide selection of beers and only Irish beers on tap including Guinness, of course! They also have live music often; check out their website for details. Altogether very good and one of the better bars in town, but the very tight, cramped space costs it points. Nonetheless, we love this place!

Burgers are very good and they have a great selection of beer. Tuesdays are 2 for 1 but you better get there around 5. Any later and you will be in for a long wait. Always good live music and John J. is one of the best bartenders in Monroe..
