Great lunch spot. Fantastic PoBoys and plate lunches. I give it 5 stars because the food is good, location and parking are great, and the staff is a blast.

The guys at Spitales are always friendly. We like to get the Dirty Turkey poboy from here. It's really yummy. We have tried their other poboys and they are alright. Their house salad dressing is excellent. We would come here more often but the hours are really limited.

good place for lunch they & bottle their own dressing which is sold at dorignacs i think. Location a little hidden off i-10 service road next to what looks like a mechanic shop. Food is good.

I really enjoy friendly service and this place has it! I was a frequent buyer of the chicken caesar salad and let me tell you, it was SOOO YUMMY! I know all I got was a salad, but it was close, quick service, delicious and huge! If you are like me and don't like soggy salad, ask for the dressing on the side because you will definitely have left overs.

Friendly service, great food. The dirty turkey is outstanding. A little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area, but it's really a hidden gem in a town with so many chain restaurants.

Roast beef sandwich is above average and "the dirty bird", featuring turkey, rb gravy and grilled onions is quite good. Located on a block w/ a lot of construction supply houses and you kinda get the feeling you're in a supply house for po-boys when you're here. Been here about 10 or so times and never had a reason to complain.

After a few months of ordering, The girlfriend and I have found they are always quite pleasant and quick, the meals are always hot and some of the best po boys in the metairie area.

One of my favorite places for Po Boys. Definitely try their grilled ham po boys, great flavor to the ham. Been coming here since I was a kid.

Short on decor but long on flavor. I had a fantastic shrimp Po boy that was huge for a "regular" size. The decor is old school with emphasis on old, but the staff is friendly, the food is excellent and the price is fair.

Uhhh, I felt kind of like I went to lunch at an auto body shop or an electrical parts supply warehouse. The food was decent, but I felt like $11 was a bit steep for a poboy and a coke, especially with the amazing location/decor that they had.

I had lunch here today and had a fantastic turkey and swiss poboy. The bread was delicious. The cooks/staff were super friendly; they knew many of the patrons by name. It felt like a real neighborhood place*. They also take orders online which surprised me. *It's a little hard to find, so map it out first.

Spitale's Deli is a typical, hidden lunch place for the local businesses. They are family-owned and operated. You order your food at the counter, pick it up, and find your seat cafeteria style. They have really good po boys and their bread is soft - just the way I love it. If you're in Metairie looking for a low-key place to grab lunch, you won't get much better than Spitale's Deli. Their portions are generous, and you can get po boys in all the different sizes for satisfying whichever appetite you bring. Their website - spitalesdeli.com - is fancier than their dining location. But, their food tops all. Solid four stars for great food. As I try more of their selection, I can see a five star update coming in the future. Business Hours (always important): Mon-Fri from 10am to 3pm Saturday from 10am to 1:30pm.

One of the best po-boys in the city. I went for lunch yesterday for the first time in years; the decor hasn't changed a bit, nor has the food. I had a delicious fried shrimp po-boy stuffed with large, golden shrimp, lettuce, pickles and mayo on a wonderful loaf of french bread. They make all sorts of po-boys; you're bound to find something you'll enjoy here. Spitale's shares a warehouse-looking building with a tile company; don't be fooled, there's incredible food inside.

One of my two favorite po-boy shops in Metairie. These guys have some great roast beef po-boys and the owners are always the ones there making the food. On a side note be sure to try their homemade ranch dressing which is also really good.
