The Ground Pat'i has been around for years. It is one of my wife's favorite hamburger joints, so I tend to eat there on a regular basis. But she doesn't eat the burgers, usually ordering one of their chicken dishes. There are several to choose from and she likes them all. The Ground Pat'i serves a decent burger, adequate but nothing to rave about. I bounce around between their Cajun BBQ drenched burger, the El Patio topped with chili and cheese, or the bacon cheeseburger. I order them medium and they come out acceptable. Ask for the seasoned fries, otherwise you'll get the regular. If there is a complaint, they skimp on the first serving of peanuts. However, they will bring more when you ask. It's the asking that bothers me. I guess I've been spoiled by some of the other places where it is unlimited peanuts. Listen to me, complaining about the peanuts in a hamburger joint.

Very good, fresh made hamburgers. Recomend steamed veggies, delicious! Peanuts good also. Made a reservation for a private party of 10. Table was all set, we received excellent service from Lisa & Jennifer. Temperoraly no liquor, allowed us to bring wine , no corkage fee. :)

The food was awful. I ordered the Ground Patti burger medium, yet they sent it to the table well done. They could have simply put a piece of charcoal on my plate and it would have had the same flavor profile. My girlfriends burger was over cooked as well, but there was at least a little pink in it. The decor is terrible. The carpet had stains all over it, the bar appears to have been built with the cheapest materials and by the cheapest carpenter in town, the fake stain glass stickers are peeling off the windows, and they desperately need to paint the back wall. Our server was the only redeeming point. The girl who waited on us was competent and efficient.

We were there last night. The food is awful. The nacho appetizer had low-quality canned tasting chili atop low quality tasting chips. Then they throw a plastic container of jalapenos and a plastic container of sour cream on top. Yuck. Both my mother and I ordered our burgers medium rare. Both were well-done. In fact, they were SO over cooked that they were dry and hard. I would not suggest that anyone go to this restaurant. It has been around for years, and I remember that 20 years ago, it was quite good. Now however, it is indigestion waiting to happen.

The service was quick but relatively good. The food was fabulous. I enjoyed the burger and fries. Reminds me of my teen years when I would come here with my friends on Friday or Saturday night. This is a place where locals come to enjoy a burger and beer. Yummy! They still give you peanuts while you wait for your food. :)

Been coming here regularly for years and I have to say, something is off. Our normally thick, cooked to order burgers were flat and over cooked, twice, even after they were sent back. All I can surmise is that the person making the burgers, which I understood were formed by hand, is new and is flattening them out too much. Consequently, the taste and texture were both off. No juice coming from the burger either. Will give it another try in a few days.

Love the grilled chicken and turkey burger. Nice portions and one day the owner was coming around giving free appetizers. It's not dance but that's what great about it.

Nice place food was good. My boyfriend's grilled chicken breast could've been a little bigger. It was like the size of my palm. The seafood platter is usually a reasonable size and the drinks are pretty good. I always go back.

I would just stay away from here. This place is dark and dingy. The carpet is dirty and stained everywhere. It's just a blah atmosphere. The prices are pretty high for this place. I ordered my food and just got a burger and fries. I asked for the burger to be medium well. It came to me medium to medium rare which is disgusting to me. It was really greasy soaking up the bottom bun. The meat was bland and had no seasoning. The fries were ok but it's kind of hard to screw those up. I was stunned to overhear one of he waitresses say she had been there for 12 years although I will say she was the one good thing about the place...very friendly. I won't be back.

Mediocre service killed this experience. Lots of servers doing a whole lot of nothing in this nearly empty restaurant. The got the orders wrong, but the burgers still tasted all right. The fries had a nice cut and the right amount of crispiness. Had the service been even average, it would have good another star. The ambiance is poor and confusing its like I dont know if im about to eat a burger or in an old church converted to a ski lodge 40 years ago... Just meh....

What has happened to this place? I remember always coming to this location as a kid with my mom to get awesome burgers with that silver mug for the drinks. The last time I went here, they actually had a sign at the door stating that you could bring in alcohol from the outside, just no ice chests. Seriously? Who would bring their own ice chest to a restaurant. The bar was all torn up and looked a mess. They seem to have the same people each time we go and they are very friendly, but the atmosphere and the food has taken a nose dive big time. I want the old Ground Pati back.
