I have got to somehow do a better job of planning my restaurant outings. Case in point, by the time my order arrives, I'm so famished I don't take the time to photograph the meal, to give the Yelp Society the opportunity to view what I consumed. Sometimes, it just can't be helped. I should have been prepared for a long wait to be seated for breakfast at Denny's Restaurant, simply because of the exorbitant amount of tourists in town to celebrate Mardi Gras and it was the Sunday morning of the big weekend preceding Fat Tuesday. Plus, I had just skipped having breakfast down the street at the Tiffen Pancake House, because of the long waiting line of patrons there. The hostess at Denny's estimated our waiting time to be 20 minutes, but that morphed into 45 minutes. It could have been longer, but several parties departed rather than endure the long wait to be seated. Chaos was somehow averted once we were seated when an overzealous or, overwhelmed waitress took our drink order and was promptly chastised by another waitress who explained that we were seated at her table. Our breakfast orders were prepared exactly as we had requested and in a rather timely manner, considering every table and booth was occupied and the waiting line was still growing when we departed.

Hands down best dennys i have gone. Yes i had to wait ones but during my visit to nola this denny really impressed me. Taste and quality is way better than other demnys i have gone to and people working here are really nice. I even took my boss here to tell him it is different from all the dennys. Its greay dennys liked it very much

My family and I have been travelling around the USA. When we got to this restaurant we had high hopes as we had been to heaps of Dennys. But this one is the pits. The server Dru never seemed to come anywhere near us. Also our food came our at different times. It was very disappointing. We found out it only had 2.5 stars only after we had ordered. Now we see why. Tatianna was nice though. She tried to help. My pot roast was dry also.

We ate at this Denny's midday June 14, 2013. With rental car issues (mechanical and customer service) I was having a rather cruddy day. But Pauline (waitress) fixed all that. Her down home southern charm and grandmotherly attention to my kids turned the whole day around. Even over a year later I still maintain that she is the best waitress ever. Whatever she is being paid, it isn't enough. I wish for her nothing but the best that life has to offer her.

I love eating at Dennys. The zesty nachos are the best! This location is clean but the service is a bit slow. It tends to get a bit busy in the morning hours but I always find it to be slow in the afternoon/evening hours. Each time that I have been here the food comes out looking almost exactly like the picture on the menu which you hardly ever see at this kind of establishment. If you need extra of something the staff is usually very good about getting it to you....eventually.

Came here for breakfast this morning. Been going to Denny's for as long as I can remember. There is always one nearby somewhere when you are on vacation. This Denny's was a few steps above the others I have been to. Decent cup of coffee and breakfast. Pretty standard fare really. What made it so much more was our server Kim. Extremely friendly and personable. Great smile. Very attentive. Our coffee cups were never empty and she checked in on us more than just once after our food was delivered to our table. She even cashed us out at the table as opposed just saying to pay at the cashier. Again, Kim was wonderful. Never felt like she was too busy to check in on us for chat for a minute or two to make us feel welcome.

Not good service at all. We went on my dad's birthday for the free birthday slam. The server got his slam wrong. Our silverware was given to us after our food came out. The server, Rineke G., rarely visited us. The worst part came when it was time to pay. We stood at the cash register for ten minutes without being acknowledged. My dad asked a server when was someone coming to take our payment and she gave him an attitude. Another customer asked that same server when would her party get sat and for a similar negative response. Someone finally took our payment and we left. This is one of the rare times where I did not leave a tip. It takes a lot to make me angry enough not to leave a tip.

My wife and I came here for brunch on a Saturday and the restaurant was quite busy. Our server Phinton was excellent and provided a high level of service, but its too bad we could not say the same about the kitchen and their timeliness... I ordered the Zesty Nachos appetizer, Hickory Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and my wife had the new Avocado Santa Fe Skillet. I watched my chicken sandwich sit in the window ready for about 5 minutes before it was delivered to my table (I could tell Phinton got tired of waiting for the entire order to be ready so he delivered the sandwich before it got cold). By the time I was half done with my sandwich, my wife's skillet finally came to the table and it was a tremendous let down in taste and presentation. After inquiring about where our nacho appetizer was (don't appetizers come out before instead of after your meal?) we received it and it was delicious. We sat there and watched the entire restaurant turn over while waiting for our food. At the end I had to get up and go to the register to ask for my check because our server had gone on break and nobody ever checked up on us. I think we will stick to ordering moons over my to-go next time we feel like eating Denny's...
