Great burgers! I have yet to find another place that can make a burger like Bud's. To top that off they are open 24hrs a day. The burgers are always cooked just right and the buns are toasted. The milk shakes aren't half bad either, although I go for the pink lemonade. Service is quick, they go by a number system. Not 5 stars because they are cash only.

I'm visiting Louisiana from Dallas, TX. My husband grew up in Metairie. We're down on vacation from work and visiting a friend and he wanted to take me to the best burger place he's had, aside from Twisted Root in Texas. I ordered the #6 which has everything on it. When the food arrived, I devoured that beast. It was so delicious! The burger put not only Burger King to shame, but another place in Texas called Griff's Burgers. Everything about it was perfect, down to the tomatoes and mustard. I will definitely be making this location my Metairie fix.

First of all, I would like to say that I LOVE Bud's Broiler. It has been an institution in my life since I was a small child. As a kid growing up in New Orleans East, I remember my mother taking me to the one on Lake Forest BLVD and loving it. The City Park AVE location is also quite good at any hour, and I have had good food and service at the Causeway BLVD location whenever I have felt like going through the rather difficult task of getting my car into it's very poorly located lot. However, we are here to discuss the 24 hour Clearview PKWY location, and how it generally seems to fail my late night need for a New Orleans legendary sandwich. The issue is never rude staff, as they are always polite and cheerful, even though they probably deal with a lot of drunks at the late hour. The young woman that works the register actually remembers me and my wife and treats us like old friends on the occasion that we venture in. The issue is always the food, always. On 3 occasions they have served me very below average food, which can only be attributed to poor attention to detail, since they make all their food to order. What I love about Bud's is their sauce. The sauce is amazing, and I am pretty sure I could drink it. I love it so damned much in fact, that I have never, in my 35 years, even tasted their chili. So, the sauce is sort of a big deal. My first bad night came when I ordered my usual, which is 2 hamburgers and 1 hot dog. I order that so much that they usually know what I want when I walk in. I used to always order them with extra sauce. I don't do that at the Clearview store, and soon you'll see why, so just remember this part for later. Okay, so my first bad time came with I ordered my usual, got home, and found the burgers had NO sauce. I ordered extra, and instead was given none. I had to substitute with a BBQ sauce from a bottle. Needless to say, it wasn't even Bud's at that point. My second experience came when I ordered my usual once more, again with the extra sauce request. I thought it was odd when they boxed my burgers instead of wrapping them in the paper. When I got home, I found out why. The guy must have poured a quart of sauce on each burger. The bottom buns were all ruined. I had to take a spoon and shovel out the ridiculous amounts of sauce just to pick the damned burger up. Now, I know I asked for extra, but there is a big difference between an extra spoonful and just pouring a ridiculous amount on. This almost seemed intentional, like a passive aggressive middle finger for my nerve in asking for extra. (This is why I mentioned that I no longer ask for extra.) My last experience was also quite poor. I went in there, didn't ask for extra anything, and ordered my usual. The sauce came out almost black, where it should be a lovely dark red. It tasted burnt, and since they cook it in a pot, that is likely the case. It tasted like cheap BBQ instead of the trademark delicious hickory smoke. Needless to say, from now on I will most likely just drive the extra couple minutes and go to the City Park location.

There's not a big selection but the guys working the counter and grill are fast and efficient. An is a plus that they are 24 hours. So it's really the only place to eat outside of breakfast and fast food

It's open 24 hours - that's what got it three stars. It's one step up from the pre-packaged refrigerated hamburger sold at the gas station. I had a Meat burger and fries; and I admit I was so hungry I didn't even inquire what "Meat" consisted of. Customer Service is basically like "What the hell do you want?" but hey you are ordering Meat burgers afterall.

Bud's has pretty good burgers for a decent price. They also have hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings, hand held pies and shakes. We recently went to this location to get take out. The staff were very friendly and got our order out real quick. I like to get their cheeseburger dressed and with their sauce. Their fries are not bad either. My boyfriend and I were interested in the crab burger. We had never tried it. It was really good. I'd say it's a toss up of whether I liked the crab burger or the cheeseburger better! We wanted to try a shake too, but they said they currently weren't making any. So, we split a peach pie and an apple pie. Good...but greasy! I would definitely come back here again. Convenient that they are open 24 hours too! Not that I really see myself coming here at 3 in the morning, but if ever the chance arose, then that's cool.

We went to the Clearview location on Friday January 16,2015 around 7:30pm... we all placed our order and immediately picked our food up. I was telling my friends my fries and burger were cold. A worker on her break came to me explaining it was my fault. I went to the counter twice and they looked at me like I was crazy. I then asked what they could do. They told me nothing. I asked them to at least microwave my burger in which they did... I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN! Not only was the food COLD... THE SERVICE WAS COMPLETELY HORRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

24 hour Bud's Broiler, I'm disappointed in myself that I only found out this location was 24 hours a month ago. Same great burgers Bud's is known for, same great menu. One thing I appreciate about Bud's is whichever location you go to, you know the menu is consistent.

Ok so this is the best spot in the city to grab a quick burger that is consistently amazing. Ever since I tried Bud's a few years back or more, I've been hooked. There have been days when I couldn't continue unless I had my fix, like today. The burgers couldn't be more on point, every time! Yeah it looks like somewhere where you wouldn't wanna get food because of the graffiti on the tables that's been etched in with some thing, and the cows on the walls seems childish, the food speaks for itself. I finished after starting this and wow I'm ready to go home and go to sleep. Definitely worth every penny.

I am usually all about Buds Broilers, and despite this rating I still am. First off, the food is always good. A little greasy but that's what makes the burger. Anyways, I went in last week and got the rudest service of my life. From the time I ordered to 39 minutes later when my food was finally done, then when I thanked her she tuned around. Ok maybe she had a hard day. Well the whole time we are eating a different employee was. Leaning the lobby and complaini so loudly about not getting good tips cause no one in here is her regulars. Who cares if I'm not your regular? I deserve the same respect.

I love this Buds location. For some reason the burgers at other Buds location just doesn't taste as good as this place. The burgers are always juicy with that lovely flame broiled taste. Their fries are good as well. Worth the money since this keeps me full hours after I eat it unlike fast food burger chains.

Bud's Broiler is a local and small New Orleans burger chain. The typical Bud's Broiler experience is two stars for food quality (as are most fast food joints) but they have a few locations like this one that stay open 24/7 that merit three stars. I'm really a night owl and I like to stay up to all hours and since Katrina the options for 24 hour places have declined. The great thing about the 24 hour locations is there always seems to be the kooky NOLA folks that always seem to be lurking around that always make a visit during strange hours all the more worthwhile and entertaining. All Bud's broilers have similar looking ancient menu's that have had their individual characteristics added over the years so that each has become its own unique piece of fast food heritage artwork. Looking at the menu prices will quickly let you discover that Bud's is definitely more expensive than the usual fast food place. This Bud's is located in a suburban strip mall so it definitely doesn't have as much "personality" as the original one on City Park Ave. in terms of location and the building. The interior actually has a lot more space than you would think from the outside. There is definitely better food out there but there are few other places in this area of Metairie that you can get 24 hour food like you can at this Bud's Broiler.

my god this place is magical. Best mayo in town. Every time I pull into the parking lot I get boned up because I know I'm about to ascend into heaven with a #3 w/ mayo and a large fry. May God bless Buds Broiler

Buds Broiler will always have a special place in my heart so I can't NOT give it 5 stars even though its been a while since I've visited my childhood. As a youngin' I used to ride my bike a mile to Buds Broiler in River Ridge (yeah, I was a fat kid but at least I was riding my bike!) The hot dog on a hamburger bun with chili and shredded cheddar cheese makes me go starry eyed. The thin burger with "special sauce" (its bbq) and chili cheese fries were my go to favorites. They have the BEST pies here. Buds is the reason why I've never liked Hubig's pies (yeah, I went there) because I always thought buds fresh and hot pies were far superior. If you get one thing only stop in for a pie and the awesome painted mural! They have great milkshakes as well. It's cash only, but they have an atm inside.

My usual order: #3--burger with shredded cheddar & mayo plus large order of golden fries. Yummy!

Friends and I often have loving conversations about Bud's. Their burgers, there's something about them ... they're crunchy? Or chewy? It doesn't taste like any other burger about town. Having grown up eating these, I think this is good. This location in particular is open 24 hours, which rules, but my check-in was on New Year's Day in the afternoon. So, like, whatever ... I could totally just pop in right now and eat a burg, and that's comforting. The dining area is filled with old wooden tables with lots of names and jokes and things carved into them from who knows when, and the walls are adorned with strange cow murals painted by the mysterious CRAIG.
