Place is very inviting and friendly. The food & drinks are "On-Point" and the staff are a "Class Act!". Our waiter Joe T. was excellent and treated us like family. Can not wait until my next trip down to NOLA.

Awesome night! Great steak (rib eye) cooked to perfection, and sizzling when they bring it out on a plate to the table. Desert is to die for. Banana Foster Cheesecake! A must try! Service is excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and friendly. I will be back soon!!

So far I've only been here once but I can't get enough of this place! I went as a little post-birthday celebration and looking for a reasonably priced steakhouse. I wanted to try out somewhere more local instead of the big Houston's or Ruth Chris steakhouse chains. I found his little gem on yelp and I'm so glad I gave them a try! We got the Steak Andy (filet with lobster topping) and the Steak NOLA (filet with shrimp and a peppery gravy) with creamed spinach and mushroom sides along with a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. In my opinion, the steak options are more reasonably priced than what you might find at most chain steakhouse restaurants. Also, the quality was phenomenal and probably on par with service you would expect at top dollar fine dining establishments like Antoine's or Galatoire's. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, everyone at the bar was incredibly friendly! We made new friends after sitting down for only a few minutes. Homemade bitters and fresh fruit adorn the bar. The speciality cocktails looked awesome too although I stuck to their house red since there was a $5 happy hour special. I have to say, as an avid lover of red wine, their house brand is a surprisingly good quality. I hear there's $3 martini happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I'm excited to give that a try. Also, $18 burgers and beer Mondays. They also claimed to have some saints game specials as well. I just can't wait to come back to Andy's soon and explore my little Metairie hidden gem!

Tonight we ate at Andy's Bistro for my birthday and everything was absolutely perfect. Our waiter Joe was absolutely lovely! I got the filet cooked rare and it was perfect. My husband got a burger and it was also terrific. We were nothing short of our first trip to Andy's and it will definitely not be our last!

Perfect filet's, fantastic shrimp and grits, awesome creamed spinich, and incredible chargrilled oysters. Highly recommend the Sazerac-styled cocktail. Only thing that was "ok" were the BBQ shrimp. The sauce was very thick and a bit rich. Other than that, man...those filet's!

This place was an awesome jewel to find. It's a bit of a sleeper as it's off the beaten path a bit but super nice ambiance and amazing food. Yes I've ordered the same steak (tenderloin) every time I go but why change perfection. The staff has always been sincerely friendly and the vibe is very comfortable and pleasant. I'd definitely go back anytime I am in the area.

You will tell yourself you're not gonna get the shrimp and grits on top of your filet mignon... but you will... and you will love it.

WHISPERING QUIET DINNER Have you ever observed kids horsing with a gumball machine. They rough play it hoping for a gumball to find its way out. There will be fast and slow manipulation of the turn key. They'll try sticking their hand up the dispenser slot. Everything but dropping and breaking the glass globe. Comparatively speaking, that's a normal day with my client. Always trying to squeeze something extra out of me IMHO. Night before I dined at the New Orleans Food & Spirits and earlier today I had a balanced but rich saucy seafood pasta lunch at Russell's Marina Grille. Both places were packed and jacked up with lots of chattering diners. This evening I'm going to Andy's Bistro which is on the way back and not far from the Marriott Metairie. No Creole or Cajun but Italian in a country club like setting. White table clothed tables spaced apart so that there's more comfort and calmness. The waiting area is clean, open and seemingly well lit with the precision white Italian oyster tiles. Beyond this room the rest of restaurant is wall to wall polished hardwood flooring. A nice touch of class. Since they're in season it's grilled Redfish accompanied by an Italian vegetable medley with of course zucchini and pearl onions. The fish filet is skinned on one side exposing it to spreading pinches of aromatic seasoning and a more than generous thin overlay of lemon lime beurre blanc sauce. Other side of the filet still has the thin skin attached which is crispy and lightly salted shielding the Redfishs' moist and tender flaky delicate white meat from being overly cooked. For dessert a dense sweet Chocolate Chip crusted Pecan Pie Vanilla Ice Cream ala mode affectionately and playfully caramel drizzled. Together enough for a lite dinner for two. We ate slowly and enjoyed every bite in a much appreciated and relaxing setting. Glancing at other tables I couldn't resist from noticing the heaping mound of fried onion rings, mac n' cheese and steaks being served. A most enticing sneak preview for my next visit. Sogni d'oro ! Everyone.

The cusine was top shelf starting with the apitesers. Wood fired oysters exploded with flavor every bite. Then the steak what can I say only the best steak I ever had so tender and loaded with flavor.. let's not forget the service our waiter was extremely helpful and pleasent. Can't wait to return to enjoy another great dinning experience.

I love this place. I travel to the area frequently for work, and Andy's is a must-stop for me. The food is great - I've enjoyed the wood-fired oysters app, the wedge & bistro salads, the redfish on the half shell and shrimp & grits. I've eaten in the dining room with co-workers, and at the bar if I'm by myself. (Bartender Alan is awesome). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food, and it's a great, laid-back vibe. The prices are a little on the higher end, but the food, service and atmosphere are worth it.

I got a love like whoa for Sarah working the bar. She can make some mean drinks. Don't even tell her what you want and just let her do her thing and you won't be disappointed. While I was there I got to enjoy the wedge salad, which was done perfectly with all super fresh ingredients and house made dressing. The italian pizza was also very tasty that is cooked in their wood fire oven. The ambiance is appealing to the eye with dim lighting and a modern atmosphere.

Such a pleasant surprise! I'm not sure what I expected but walking up to the door and then foyer has a warm and classy feel. the dining room was dimly lit and inviting, the tables are set perfectly with white table cloths, place settings and wine glasses. The menu is leather bound with a separate menu for drinks and desserts. Service was pleasant but what really stood out was the visit from the manager,Tomas. He is passionate and educated on all types of spirits from imported beers to macerating his own liquors to create craft cocktails to a rare collection of bitters and so on. If you are like me and appreciate exploring top shelf drinks then find you a seat ,kick back and indulge. His expertise elevated our dinner to a memorable experience. We tried the BBQ shrimp, ribeye, filet, grilled shrimp, saute mushrooms, pumpkin pie and bread pudding for dessert and we would reorder everything all over again. FYI They offer weeknight and happy hour specials which I found advertised on facebook. We can't wait to go back!

For my first time in Louisiana and first restaurant to eat at since my arrival, this place hit the spot! Great service...and the food was DELICIOUS! From the bread to the onion rings and my main dish. Coming back tomorrow before my departure!

Love the place! Chef Dwight is the best! My friend and I went to eat at Andy's when we were on our way to bourbon. Great place to stop at before getting to the quarter (we would've paid double if we would have eaten the same things in the French Quarter. Delicious food, GREAT service, GREAT ambiance, GREAT staff and don't forget your 'gocup!

Dinner here on Sat night was awesome! I had a prime N.Y. Strip and it was perfect. It came with a side item and still cost a lot less than Ruth's Chris - and was at least as good - if not better. I'll be back soon!

It was time for my daughter's annual birthday dinner. She is 12 now and just tells me what she wants to eat but never where to go. She says she wanted a steak, so I look around on Yelp and found this place. She doesn't like really fancy places as she is part slob on her mother's side. (ok it's probably on my side but it's not as funny saying that). We walk in and it's kind of fancy. White table cloths, cloth napkins, glasswear already on the table, candles and she gives me the look of "You asshole". I laughed it off and said "well we're here". We started off with the thin sliced onion rings. Delicious! The best I have had. The onions are drenched in crystal hot sauce before dragging them through flour and frying them. The spicyness was just barely there as most of the hot is taken away during the frying. These things were greaseless too! For an entree my daughter got a petite filet cooked medium rare as all steaks should be cooked. (I taught her well) and an order of fresh cut fries. The steak was 31.00 and the fries were 7.00. I hate hate hate that restaurants make steaks an ala cart item. How f'n hard is to just allow a side item??? 7.00 for fries? Come on man. She was really happy though as the steak was sizzlin' in buttah, Nola style and cooked to perfection. I got the mixed grill plate. It had a quail, a link of andoille, a 2 oz filet and a lamb lollipop all sitting on a huge heaping pile of bacon and spinach mashed taters. The steak and quail were really good. The quail was a little gamey but being this was the 1st time I had it, I have nothing to compare it too. The lamb and andoille were slightly over salted in my opinion. The side was really good and could have been a meal in itself! The waiter was phenomenal. Really spot on with his service, I wish I could remember his name because he was perfect. Andy's definitely fits a need in Metairie as there are not many restaurants of this caliber in this part of the city(Austin's and maybe Ruth Chris being the other's that I can think of). It's kind of tucked away as it's a block of Vets on the lake side. It's a little pricey for the burbs but definitely a nice place.

Very cozy atmosphere with a wonderful wait staff. Food was delicious. The best asparagus I ever had. The pompano to die for. Will come back again and recommend it to everyone.

This restaurant is pretty good. Nice atmosphere and great staff. I had the veal Metairie with crabmeat on top. The veal had a weird taste to it but the crab meat with potatoes , spinach and onions were delicious. Soft shell crab was great, burgers were great also. Their bread pudding was excellent, minus the raisins which I don't eat. Nice spot in Metairie .

We made reservations here and arrived on time. The hostess was snarky (probably because they only had one other table). She reluctantly sat us. The ambience immediately redeemed the place. Very quiet, romantic-ish, yet comfortable. Our server, who was very polite, soon approached us and took our drink orders. He seemed nervous, and awkwardly lingered after the order was taken. Several times throughout the night, he would come to check on us, and then take a few steps away, turn around, and mutter as if he was unsure if we were taken care of. Again, I want to stress that he was EXTREMELY pleasant, just very nervous. We started with an appetizer of fried green tomato sandwiching a crab cake. It was spectactular, both in presentation and taste. My date had been on a very strict diet, so she was craving a burger, and that's what she ordered. I ordered the pork chop. Both were very good, again in both presentation and taste. The young man who came to remove our plates was clumsy, unkempt, and nervous. He, like our server, also seemed very nice, just unskilled. He almost dropped a plate, was reaching over my drink, and would have dropped my silverware in my lap if I had not caught it. I'm not too stuffy about these kinds of things, so I laughed it off and told him it was ok. When our server came to us about possible desserts, he immediately mentioned their dessert special of the evening, which he stated was excellent and unavailable. We laughed and joked with him about why he would even tell us about a dish that he knew was unavailable. Again, part of his nervousness I assume. We ordered a dessert, which my date said was good. The chef came out and spoke to us and explained his background. We thanked him for the wonderful food, and he kindly brought out an additional dessert for my date to take home. All in all, I think this place has great potential. The food was VERY good for the price, and the atmosphere was inviting and comforting. I stayed a while after dinner and had some drinks and talked. The staff, other than the chef and the nice manager who offered to escort my date to the restroom, was a bit lacking in skill. Which again, is not a big deal for most places, but Andy's is obviously trying to market themselves as casual fine dining, and you just can't do that with people offering unavailable options and dropping unclean silver people's laps. I hope they do well and maybe just have some of their servers take a few classes on serving and bussing. I'll probably go again. I already told a few co-workers that it's a nice place and some of them told me that Andy's has nice happy hour specials, so I'll have to visit for that alone.

Went here last night with my husband for the burger and beer special which he really likes. This was our second visit and I have to say I'm not all that impressed. The first visit hubby had the burger, he said it was good not great, but he enjoyed it. I had the soup of the day which was New York style clam chowder (I think, can't remember because it didn't leave that much of an impression) and the wedge salad which was good, how can you screw that up. Last night hubby again had the burger and I opted for the Caesar salad and soup of the day Chuckwagon Chili. The Caesar salad was AWFUL! The salad itself was just the typical romaine, packaged shredded parm and croutons (those at least tasted homemade) but the dressing was terrible! It had an oddly overpowering fishy taste (and I know it's made with anchovies, but this was more like cod liver oil!). The chili was just okay. It had some type of shredded beef and what looked like small chunks of ham. Who puts ham in chili? Anyway, when we left I had a small amount of gastric distress only to be followed later that evening with the worst stomachache I've had in quite some time! It kept me up half the night! So in conclusion, so so food, okay service, and stomachache equals no more Andy's Bistro for me!

Absolutely love this place. They have weeknight specials, amazing food, and great service. Of course I'd expect nothing less from chef Andrea, but seriously. This place is almost as good as his namesake! you can't leave without trying the crabmeat Napoleon, and honestly I can't find a single bad thing to say about the place!

The first time here, steak was fantastic. Can't wait to come back to try something of their seafood selection. They also have a great selection of craft brews and whiskey. Very clean and great ambience. Lots of parking a must try.

I went here with co-workers for their Tuesday night "Andy Burger special" and it was a pretty awesome deal. You order the burger and get all you can drink draft beers for $15.00. The burgers are pretty massive and the meat was juicy with a lot of meaty flavor. All the condiments come out in little cups so you can dress your own burger and they make their own aioli that goes well with the fries. They have a variety of cheese options to top your burger with as well. I did try some of the other menu items that co-workers ordered and they were good as well including the incredibly buttery cheese biscuit served with your meal. I'll definitely be going back for the Tuesday special!

This is my second trip to Andy's and this time was for lunch. We started with the $1 premium cocktails which is a nice way to get going on a Friday. We ordered the Shrimp and Grits entree and a Sirloin tip Po-boy with fresh cut french fries and a side of Mac and cheese. The service was very good and not overwhelming and the food was excellent. The Sauce with the Shrimp and grits was a perfect compliment and the Sirloin Po-boy was good. We asked for a side of au jus which soon appeared and that put this Po-boy into the great category. I'm a freak for fresh cut fries and these were at the top of their game. (I kept stealing them from my girlfriend) I was never a big fan of Mac and cheese but these came in a hot little black skillet and were very impressive. Overall my experience was very good and am going to make this a regular spot for lunch.
