Very much enjoy Little Tokyo. I usually get the chicken teriyaki because I'm not a sushi person. The teriyaki is always good and great portion size. My cousin seemed to enjoy the sushi too. They gave you a warm towel after dinner to add that special touch. Would defintely recommend for sushi and good food.

The best sushi on the Northshore! My family has been coming here for years, never disappointed. The service is always friendly and fast. The fish is always fresh. Try the Chef Special Roll. My mom also loves their Japanese hot green tea, unlike many other places.

Very nice basic sushi joint! I think the prices are very reasonable and I've always had good service there. Mom and I went here for lunch on Saturday after visiting a cousin in Lakeview Regional. The sushi rolls were good, especially the barbecued eel and the yellowtail. We had seaweed salad for our appetizer and that was very fresh and tasty. I've had the green mussels here as an appetizer before, many moons ago, and I recall they were delicious. I think this was the first sushi place in the Covington-Mandeville area.

This used to be my go-to sushi restaurant as I lived just down the road. It is one of the more popular sushi restaurants in town but it gets crowded easily because it is SO small. The tables are close together so it almost like dining with the strangers next to you. It in a cruddy location to get to at times because of traffic. The past few times I went there, the servers just seemed like they did not want to be there- no greeting the table and just picking up the sushi order sheet. Even ordering food to go, the employee's tone just seems lifeless and bored. When the food comes, all the rolls are on so many different plates, overwhelmingly taking up the entire table . The hostess stand/to-go station/cashier is all next to the front door so if there's a wait to be seated and people picking up orders and people paying their bills, it's a cluster. The parking lot is small but efficient for the lot size, however it is in terrible condition. Honestly, they should relocate to a bigger place that is more aesthetically pleasing (they recently painted the exterior the most horrendous color). Regardless of the exterior, if you're looking for good sushi and don't mind being overcrowded in a small place, then I would definitely recommend eating here because they do have great sushi

Seven of us went went there for lunch to celebrate completing an important milestone for a big project. Two of the men picked it and the rest of us went along for the ride. Since I wasn't driving, I wasn't going to argue. It's an older standalone building. There were only eight tables, each decorated with white tablecloths under glass. Once we sat down, the restaurant was full and there were no seats available at the sushi counter. As we there on the boss's nickel, everyone ordered a different roll plate. Not being familiar with the menu, I opted for the Last Unicorn, mainly because of the name. I have no idea what the others ordered, although I got to try one of each. The service was excellent and the food was good.

Little Tokyo is great sushi restaurant. Located off the beaten path on Asbury St., Little Tokyo may be the best sushi place on the Northshore. The restaurant is very small inside and the parking outside is odd (parallel parking on the side of the building), but their service and food is very good. Service was excellent. The restaurant wasn't full and we were seated immediately. We had two excellent servers. One of the servers was brand new, but she did an incredible job. Upon seating everyone at the table was brought a bowl of clear broth soup. It had noodles and was very good. They did bring us a spoon, but that may have been because we had children with us. We started with an appetizer of gyoza which was very good. We ordered some cooked dishes for the kids which were massive. They actually let us order the lunch portion since it was for kids, but it was still enough that they could have shared. Our rolls were very good to excellent. The rolls came with 6-8 pieces per roll and two was more than enough food for one person. The rolls were reasonably priced and amazingly fresh. We really enjoyed our meal at Little Tokyo and will gladly be back.

So, I've been coming to little tokyo for years. The food is always delicious and today was no exception. My friend and I got the Mandeville roll, tropical roll and a sashimi plate. All were wonderful. If this rating was purely on the food I would give it five stars. Here's where things got bad. Before we were even close to being finished, still with many rolls visible on the plate, the hostess rudely dropped the check while saying "if I can't get y'all anything else here's the check" and literally dropped the check, splashing soy sauce everywhere. So we kind of ignored the rudeness and continued eating our dinner. Then, two minutes later returns to see if we put our cards in the book yet! We hadn't even gotten close to finishing our food, why should we already be paying? They were trying to force us out of there a s fast as possible because there was another couple waiting. It was very rude and impatient of them. Thank God the food is good and I was with a friend. If I was on a nice date I would have been very embarrassed and upset if they did this to me.

One of my favorite places to get Sushi. They have a lot of options, so even people who do not like seafood can find delicious options at this place. They are very accommodating.

I think this is the best sushi on the Northshore for sure. The rolls are great and reasonably priced. They also have amazing gyoza (dumplings) and seaweed salad among other tasty starters (edamame and calamari salad). While the service is occassionally lax, they have always been extremely friendly and will do their best to move quickly if you let them know you're on a time schedule. Also, I noticed another review said that they got soup and were annoyed it was without a spoon ... I'd like to point out that the soup is gratis (i.e. FREE) and it is served without a spoon by design (e.g. drink it out of the bowl). This is a great place that everyone should try!

Very disappointing - sat at the bar, waited 5 minutes until they gave me a menu (for sushi only, no cooked food). Handed me a bowl of soup, but no spoon. The guy behind the bar was too busy chatting with the host and forgot one of my rolls. If the place was packed and busy, I could have dealt, but there was no one in there! The sushi was okay, nothing to write home about. Between the service and the "meh" sushi, I won't be going back.

Best sushi ever! Mandeville roll is amazing. Always tastes fresh. Friendly, fast service. ...the soup doesn't require a spoon.
