Chrissy is the best waitress here but everyone else is very nice and efficient as well. The fried mushrooms are amazing!!! I love fried mushrooms and order them anywhere I can, and Orlando's has the best around. They also have a great seafood pasta! Lots of shrimp and crawfish. Their muffulettas are delicious as well as their poboys! I highly recommend this place!!!!

This place is true Louisiana! Fantastic fried food, live bluegrass music, and family friendly hospitality. This is a must for anyone wanting to have a fun night out on the North Shore.

The food was ok. I had the crab cakes and pasta and it was very greasy. Friendly wait staff.

The food was pretty great! We shared the seafood platter with fried catfish, shrimp, soft shell stuffed crab, and oysters with sweet potato fries. It was huge! We decided to split and I'm glad that we did. The gumbo was ok, but pretty salty. Not a fancy place at all.. More hole in the wall. Overall pretty good food! We'd come back!

Since moving to the northshore, we have loved this down-home, authentic, warm and lively place with its old-time live music on Thursday nights. The boiled shrimp is great and the crab/avocado salad could be the best thing on the menu (when avocados are in season). Unfortunately, I am still obliged to dock them two stars and to post this warning: DO NOT ORDER THE CRAB CAKES. I made that mistake two weeks ago. First, the flavor was not great for a non-native Louisianan -- they were just salty and mushy -- but what followed that night was much, much worse: a terrible case of food poisoning that lasted for five days. It's a testament to my fondness for Orlando's that it still merits three stars after that experience. But I hope that others will let us know if they've had the same problem -- as a service to the Yelp community and the restaurant.

Down home Louisiana seafood in a casual atmosphere. Fried shrimp and catfish cooked crispy and delicious. Get homemade creole tomato dressing on your salad or as a dip. Perfect for families and children. Restaurant gets packed on weekend evenings and service can be slow but waitresses are pleasant and the owner /chef checks the tables to make sure you are pleased.

Nice down home place to eat. Reminds me of the mom & pop seafood places to eat on the Mississippi Gulf Coast before the casinos moved in. First time visiting Orlando's and looks like it was a good choice. Parking lot was full and so was the tables. I tried the seafood platter and my wife the shrimp platter. We could have easily shared the seafood platter due to the size. Food was perfectly fried. Salad with the house dressing with a large slice of fresh tomato tasted as if vine ripen and home grown. Friendly staff and service, but a bit over stretched in my opinion. Only had three servers who had to manage the front an prep the food. So may not be the best place if wanting a quick bite to eat, but excellent if you like the down home fell and hospitality. Will be returning again to try the non fried seafood plates soon. Note rated a three star because I'm a tough ranker and have experienced many restaurants world wide. Although this had a unique atmosphere and quality for for the price it's still amongst the average overall.

Stopped in this little gem after visiting a friend who lives in the area. This place is delish! I ate the all you can eat shrimp and catfish for $10.99. Best catfish I have had in a very long time. You can tell the food is fresh. The tarter sauce is so good. The service was great. Great seafood place!

Went there one Thursday night. Ordered a Cesar salad with shrimp. Got my order in a timely manner. I could not get the attention of the girl who served the salad and quickly ran off. About ten minutes later the owner came over and said " the salad is good right?" I replied " wouldn't know because I have not been given any utensils, right". The salad and fried shrimp are the same that everyone else serves. No originality or anything better. Just wish someone would put in the effort to make a homemade Cesar dressing.

I would like to give a review of the food. However, we went there this evening, we were seated and did get water and a coke. The gal said she would give us a few minutes. Well, we sat there for over 25 minutes and no one ever came or even said a word to us. And they weren't busy at that time. We finally got up to leave and headed to the door and another waitress thanked us for coming. Needless to say, I told her we never got waited on. We will not go back and I would not recommend. Go to Mortons or even Scooters if you are hungry and in the area.

This is an old mom-and-pop seafood restaurant that specializes in fried foods. I had the "1/2 and 1/2 platter" with catfish and shrimp, which, of course means fried catfish, fried shrimp, and french fries. It also came with a green salad, and I chose the house dressing which is a delicious homemade creole tomato. I also had to try the gumbo since I love gumbo and eat as much of it as I can whenever I visit Louisiana. I'd say the high point was the salad dressing, which is too bad. The shrimp and catfish weren't anything special, and the gumbo was only mid-grade. My wife got a dozen fresh oysters and a bowl of the soup of the day, which was a corn and crawfish bisque. The bisque was very rich and she liked her meal, though the oysters weren't shucked all that well. The dinner entrees seems overpriced for the ambiance and quality of food. If I went back, I think I'd get a po boy or muffaletta instead. Prices for those were much more reasonable, and they looked really good.

Best boiled shrimp, spicy, huge, easy to peel. Seafood platter fried to perfection. Orlando visited each table. Frozen mug for your brew. Excellent service. Free onion rings an added bene. First time visitor, will be on regular rotation.

Pros: Very friendly service Fast with appetizer Best BBQ Shrimp appetizer Cons: Slow with entree All four entrees we ordered were ok at best. I typically box up EVERYTHING left over, but we didn't eat half of our meal, and left the rest. I won't go back.

I have eaten here twice in the past two months. Great food, great service, decent prices. On my last visit I had the catfish platter. The fish was served fried perfectly. I chose the side salad and the mixed vegetables as my side. Both were excellent. My last visit was on a Friday during Lent. A large crowd was expected. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately by the hostess and seated withing one minute, even though the place was packed. Our waitress was with us in a matter of minutes for our beverage order and returned promptly with them. From the time we place our order till the time we received our food was about ten minutes. Our party of four was very pleased with the food and the service. Our glasses of tea were never empty. Whatever condiments that we requested, were brought to us right away. If you are looking for good seafood and great service, give Orlando's a try.

Atmosphere is great for a low key Louisiana evening. Service was great. Creole tomato dressing on salad was excellent. Had the seafood pasta. Pretty good with lots of seafood, but wish it was spicier! It was fine but I love some kick. Had a good meal. Have been there before for the crawfish which are pretty good too

While visiting in nearby Covington, my niece took our party here for a early dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was quick and efficient. I had a cup of gumbo and the Fried Shrimp dinner which was cooked perfectly. While we were there we were entertained by a few Bluegrass players. It was so much fun listening to them while we ate.

We really looked forward to visiting this town but we were a little late arriving here and finding somewhere to eat. The young lady who greeted us at the door was very polite and welcomed us. We were the only people there and had our choice of table. We both decided to have the crab and avocado salad but when the meal arrived it was followed by flies which then proceeded to annoy us whilst we were eating. The waitress did apologies about the flies and didn't seem to know where they came from! Will not be returning again
