Wings were very good, cooked to order, service was fast and courteous. Wide choice of beer on tap , celery n carrots come with the wings. Overall, better than Hooters..... Oh and they have real Tabasco on the table if u want it ( Hooters no longer serves Tabasco.... Can ya believe it!!!)

So I gave this place another try and I am really glad that I did. They wings were amazing, and the ranch tasted like my grandmother's recipe. The servers and owner were very friendly. Definitely a great improvement over my first visit.

Came on a Monday lunch time. 2 tables were seated. We had quick service, quick drink delivery, and timely order delivery. Wings were well prepared, not overly breaded. Sauces were nice. Loaded potato wedges could use work. Were less than 'loaded'; could use larger, fresh bacon pieces and green onions, better cheese. Decent beer menu, considering the still behind-the-times beer culture that is Lafayette. Could use some landscaping, and better utilization of the massive south wall (projector TV for sports events, etc), but is understandably a new business. Fair prices. Good service. Good food. Was recommended by a number of friends. Certainly earned a return visit to see if the quality and service has continuity. B.

Great wings. I had the Ragin cajun sweet spicy chili wings and they were awesome and addictive. The service was fast. Lots of tvs and lots of beers on tap including my favorite pricey 20oz guinness at $9! Canebrake on tap was $7 for a 20oz. Their wings arent as spicy as other places which can be a good thing if you cant tolerate spicy food. In comparison to spiciness: buffalo wild wings spicy bbq is much spicier than the ragin cajun spicy wings i had at Smitty's. I find the wings are "meatier" than buffalo wild wings. I will definitely go back for the food, the prices are very reasonable considering the amount and great taste of food. I guess i'll buy cheaper beer over there next time, because $9 for 20oz guinness is steep, i can buy four 14.9oz of guinness at albertsons for $9. I would like to try some of their other entrées like burgers, wraps, and sandwiches... I would also like to try some appetizers as well. These guys are in a poor choice of location because you can really pass it easily and not even notice it. I passed in front of it all the time and never noticed it until i saw something about it on facebook. I guess it is a good thing because they arent crowded or super busy so they serve you really quick. Definitely give this place a try if you like wings. You wont regret it. I prefer this place more than Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Beer selection is pretty good. But if want to wait, and I mean really wait. This is the place for you. You'll be waiting all night thinking about what you ordered. It'll probably take so long that you forget what you ordered and are just happy to get whatever they bring you. This is a place for the patient.

I went to Smitty's twice and it was decent, close to my house and convenient. The boneless wings were actually chicken tenders (like Raising Canes) and pretty good. My third (and last trip) was this past Sunday. My girlfriend and I walked in and there was only two other couples in the place, so figured the wait wouldn't be long. Sat at the bar for 15 minutes till the girl finally came ask us if "we wanted anything". We ordered lightly salted pretzel appetizer, onion rings and the 8 boneless and 8 traditional wing combo with blue cheese dressing. There is absolutely nothing "lightly salted" about these pretzels. There was so much salt we had to pick most of it off. They should just call them salted pretzels. The onion rings were average, not bad not great. The girl brought us ranch instead of blue cheese. The traditional wings were good, but the boneless wings were not like the first two times I ate at Smitty's. The first times were tenders, this time they took a chicken breast and sliced it thinly into 1/4 inch slices and fried them. They were sliced way too thin to fry, which dried them out (like a chicken jerky, sliced about as thin as a half of a dime; see photos). I very nicely asked the waitress/bartender if they had recently changed the recipe. She very rudely told me, "What did you think you were going to get?", to which I replied "the same thing I received the last two times I came here." Then she moronically says, "it just depends on the size of the chickens we get in". I'm no chicken farmer, but I can tell the difference between a chicken tender and breast cut very thin. Sorry Smitty's, I tried, but rude incompetent waitstaff gets you no return visit. She boxed the leftovers, I decided to take them home and take pictures of them before I threw them away. Three stars for the first two visits and zero for the last visit for a (very generous) average of two stars.

Me, my fiancee and 3 friends went to Smitty's this past Sunday, for the car show. We sat ourselves and pulled two tables together. One of the tables was dirty, but because they were so busy we knew we didn't have much choice. Also, we figured someone would eventually come and clean it for us. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one came to clean the table or to even acknowledge us. My friend went to the bar to ask if we could get some service. The bartender apologized and told her how they were short staffed. We noticed there were 2 servers and one busboy. After another ten minutes we flagged the busboy down and asked him to clear our table. When he finished cleaning our table we told him that we had been waiting 25 minutes and ready to order. The restaurant had long cleared out and only 4 tables remained. A couple walked in and sat down, then another couple. After 10 mins no one had gone up to them to acknowledge them or take their order. A table of 5 then walked in and sat down. Within 5 minutes the male server was SITTING at the table taking their order. I waited tables for 15 years and would never sit at a table and take an order, especially when there are tables waiting to be served. At this point, after waiting 55 mins, I went up to the bar to ask if I could speak to the manager and the bartender pointed to the male server SITTING at the table and said he was the manager. I told her how we had been waiting 55 minutes and how the manager skipped 3 other tables to wait on the table he was waiting on at that moment. The bartender came to the table to take our order within a few minutes. She constantly apologized, but the damaged had already been done. We will never go back to Smitty's unless we see a sign that says, "Under New Management". Horrible service and horrible management.

Place is awesome. Great service and 30 beers on tap. Definitely an improvement over the place that was here previously. Lots of TV's to watch the game and a full bar. It's also kid friendly and has a great menu. Would highly recommend!
