Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Good restaurant, I ended up here on Sunday as I could not find many other restaurants open in the evening on Sunday. My only compliant is my Burrito was cold but still tasty and also the girl fixing my burrito seemed annoyed to be working

Way overpriced and stingy on the fillings. The inside is clean though. I recommend going to the Taco sisters not to far from there.

The wait in line was unbearable but definitely worth it. As a former resident of Plano, TX I had loved Chipotle so when i moved back here I had to wait forever for something as good. The shrimp are pretty nicely sized along with the steak and I can crush an illegal burrito without thinking twice. Its a pretty busy place at lunch so we usually get takeout but overall better than taco bell any day!

They changed the tacos. I do not. Like them. I do not think the quality is there. I wonder if they have changed management.

Its Izzos, it's the same everywhere.

I only had chips and queso, but they are the best I've had so far in Louisiana. They also had 2 varieties of a tomatillo salsa, and both were good. I considered ordering nachos, but at $7.99 with no meat on them, they are way overpriced. I'd end up having to pay $9.99 to have nachos with meat, and that's ridiculous for a fast food place.

Love Izzos when I'm not broke.

Its pretty good. Similar variety to bullritos. Doesn't have the ethical and clean animal husbrandry creed as does Chipotle. More variety than these other places in terms of quesadillas, tacos, etc. Went in this evening and didn't face a lengthy line until I turned around and saw a bunch waiting. The ordering format probably needs a tweak with all these places as the "build your own" format slows things down unnecessarily. Perhaps menu cards to fill out would help some customers move through the prep line more quickly. I tend to be like an overstimulated kid myself with these options, perhaps contributing to the slow-downs. Also, Izzo's has the 500 option combination drink dispensers. Some people will love that. Makes my head spin. I drink water instead. Best part about this location is that it is close to university and downtown and older neighborhoods and is in bicycking distance from those places on the only real bike-lane route in town.

I don't know why the shit I am giving Izzos four stars.... I must be hammered... no wait, its 6AM and I am having breakfast, I am giving Izzies four stars because even tho I don't usually like these custom burrito places as I think their stuff is overpriced and they're always cheap with the meat, Izzos is the best of the lot. Its fresh, its pretty decent, its better than Chipotle, so four biggies for Izzies. When the hell is Taco Cabana coming here,,, or are they gonna build another 4-5 Raising Canes fucking chicken fingers places first... just shoot me.

The food is good but don't order the felony size. They use the same size tortilla and put the exact same portions as the misdemeanor. The felony burrito is nowhere near the size as the one they have on display in the front. You would think they would see a problem when they make a misdemeanor and felony back to back and they are the same size, but they don't seem to care. Also the queso sucks, but what do you expect?

  • Kelly S.

Good stuff! Loved that they are grilling all their meats fresh right there. Lots of great combos since they have so many optional filling ingredients. The queso was DELISH! And the place was PACKED but we got our food pretty quick. We unfortunately hit the after church Sunday crowd. I hear they are opening another Lafayette location at Kaliste Saloom and Amb Caffrey on April 15th ish.

Looking to fill a void the size of the Grand Canyon? Look no further than Izzo's. This place is definitely keeping its "theme" going by providing a frightening amount of munchies for a fair price. It isn't the absolute best Mexican food by any rating but it definitely gets the job done without going to Taco Hell.

  • Chris D.

Freshly grilled and tasty. I have never experienced ANY of the complaints these others are writing about. I am always full enough with a regular. I love the pulled pork, rice and black beans with pico, corn, cheeze and cilantro ranch dressing.

  • Angie T.

Uhhhhh. No. The "queso" tastes like a watered down version of Easy Cheese (that horrible spray cheese in a can). I think they sprinkled a few canned chile peppers to make it palatable, but that did not help. The fillings for the tacos were horrid. The ground beef was bland and a tad burnt. The chicken was dry and lacked any flavor at all. Seriously, get a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store and shred it up. That would make it 100 times better. The lettuce was limp. The best thing about Izzos is that coke machine with the hundred flavor combinations that you can customize yourself and the ULL gear adorning the place.

Not bad. Just another burrito chain.

Best burritos ever! Great service, taste, and quality!

I'm a fairly strict vegetarian/vegan and IZZO'S is about the only place someone like myself can snag something satisfying without getting a table, doing the waiter/waiting thing at a Thai restaurant (pretty much your only other option), I find the ingredients fresh, satisfying and flavorful. The portions way generous, service friendly and efficient and I'm a regular. Some of the workers know my order and can fix what I like without me telling them. ;-)

  • Sonja S.

Not that great anymore. I loved Izzo's the first or so year it opened. Ordered quite often. However, it has taken a dive. Something is always wrong with whatever I order and it doesn't matter what I order, how much is ordered, the time of day, if they are busy or not, or even from which store I order. My boyfriend and I thought we would give Izzo's one more try today since it's been over a year. This is the last time. Missing rice, guacamole, queso, chips. The quesadillas were not cooked enough and missing half the cheese. Both quesadillas became a pile of mess. The taste...ok, but not worth going back. I didn't finish mine which is unusual. Not a happy lunch at all. Disappointed in a place that showed so much potential. Other reviews mentioned less product as well. Trying to cut costs while charging customers the same to ensure profit?! Get a staff that cares and produce a product worthy of Izzo's name would be a good restart.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
