Small place, we carried a soccer team to eat, food was great, service was great. Not sure I'll ever be back in Lafayette, but would highly recommend. Would of loved to seen them Carry Gluten Free beer.

New location! I have always enjoyed Fat Pat's burgers! We had the following: - Chip and Queso - queso was decent - Fat Boy Burger - Two juicy, seasoned all beef patties, served on sweet yeast bun with special sauce, lettuce, onions, tomato and pickle. ADD Mile High Toppings which is grilled yellow, red, and green peppers, onions, and shredded jalapeño cheese! Their burger are so juicy and delicious!

I ordered a large Caesar salad and there might have been a cup of lettuce in the large to go box, spread around. I ask the waitress, thinking someone must have misunderstood and made a small salad. She said that I had the large. Lettuce is not very expensive or filling and for $7.00 you should get a lot more. My husband got more fries with his sandwich than I had lettuce in my salad.

Great burgers & hotdogs. Large beef patties and great toppings. It's a sports bar atmosphere with many TVs. If your into really good burgers this is a must try for Lafayette.

This was my first stop in Lafayette, no joke, I drove from San Antonio to Lafayette and my friends lead me to this place to grab a late bite to eat and to catch up with each other being that it had been a few months since my friends returned to Lafayette after living in San Antonio for a few years. The waitress knew right away that I wasn't from there and told me that I'd have to excuse "us Coon Asses" I guess thats what the local's call each other! It made me laugh and the local's I was with didn't seem to take offense so I was like cool! I believe I had something called a Festival Burger, I thought it was really tasty and huge, I couldn't finish it. The Beer was two for one; I tried a local beer, though now I can't remember the name of it. All said and done, if given the opportunity I would go back here and watch a game or have a beer with friends. Also I want to try more of the menu, it all sounded good, it's a shame I was only able to go the one time. I guess I'll have to plan another trip.

Burger was great well seasoned. I had the Lil boy burger and it was plenty big enough. Great selection of beer on tap. Would definitely recommend this place 2 for 1 draft.

I have to admit I am definitely a burger snob so I had high expectations to start out. Although the patty itself was thick it lacked any wow factor. In fact it didn't taste like a hamburger but rather like a sweet sweadish meatball. It was dwarfed by a massive bread bun that swallowed the entire burger. Fries were thick crinkle cut saturated in oil. Very dissapointed for sure.

Fat Pat is a cut above the average sports bar.. and I've been to 5-6 others in Lafayette. - Burgers - excellent - buns homemade and delicious - Hotdogs - Nathans. Homemade buns. grilled onions - best in town. - Beer - cold and 2 for 1 quite often. - Servers - pleasant and bright. - TVs - everywhere. and they will put on the game that you want. I come here a lot. :)

Chile con queso appetizer was great, tea was great, they forgot to put mayo on my burger, but they corrected it after i tried getting the waitress'attention like 5 times! Hamburger patty was falling apart and tasted spicy, I like the fact they serve sweet potato fries for us healthier eaters, choice of cheese (not just american) for burger.... My biggest complaint IT WAS COOOLD in the restaurant. Take your jacket!

This is one of those restaurants that is hard for me to rate. If I were simply ranking the food, it would be an out-of-the-park 5 star. Their burgers are amazing! Anytime someone asks me where the best burger in Lafayette is, I say "Fat Pat's, hands down." The peanut butter bacon burger has probably contributed to at least one of my two love handles. This thing is HUGE as are all of their other selections. The hotdogs, which are on special every Sunday night, are delicious as well. Overall, the restaurant is great value for the money. If you're a drinker, they have frequent specials and 2 for 1 beer and margaritas. Also, on game day, there is a new special every time the home team scores, which can lead to some fun times! Definitely a great game day spot. I said that if it were for the food, it would be a 5-star rating, but I can only give 4 stars on this one based on service. The servers, who by now have probably all waited on me at one point or another, are all very hit or miss. The service is either exception, or terrible. This is not an anomaly, as I have probably been to this location more than two dozen times. There have been occasions, even when busy, that our drinks have never gone empty, and received attentive service. Yet, there are other times where the restaurant can be crawling and we only see our waitress to take our order and to bring our check. I'm not hard to please, but this is my only complaint. All in all, this is my go-to burger joint, despite occasionally lacking service. So that says something for the food!

I went to eat at this new location last night, and it was a great experience. I walked into the restaurant section of the eatery and was immediately greeted by a massive amount of tv's broadcasting the sporting event of the night, but don't let that be deceiving. This place was clean, well lit, and not too loud (to my surprise). I think having the bar sectioned off from the main restaurant aided these factors greatly. Although the food took a little longer than usual to be brought out, the burger I ordered was great! I decided to be adventurous and try the "Peanut Butter Bacon Burger." It was an interesting call, but I enjoyed it. The home-made buns were amazing, and the patty itself was tasty and well-cooked for a restaurant burger. The menu has a wide variety of burgers, but also plenty of other options. Fat Pat's also serves hot dogs, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and plenty of appetizers. Overall, this is a fresh new restaurant. I recommend it and am definitely heading back. Oh yeah, not to mention the prices are great!

Over priced over all. Good food, timely service. Small shots, Chelsy was very misleading on 2 for 1 beer stipulations and pretty snooty. Not impressed. Go to Max's on Kaliste Saloom and let Coy cook you a real burger and let Carla pour some real shots. Boo!

Wow the bread. Wow. I had the catfish sandwich and it was impressive. The fish was tasty and the special sauce was perfect with it. Did i mention the bread?! The onion rings were great and everyone at my table enjoyed their plates.

Good food.....ONE THING THEY charged for to-go boxes LMAO SERIOUSLY? This is what made me not want to go back. I see why everytime when they give you a receipt, there's no charges on there, ah ha this is where they trick you, if this happened to you don't feel bad they probably done this for years. So I asked the waitress that I wanted the receipt with the charges on it. So little did I know they charge me 1.25 for 6 to-go boxes. I kindly asked her why do the owner do this, she was speechless. I just laughed it off, but never again you will receive my business. I rather go FIVE GUYS AND GET 8 dressing for free and a free bag to hold my burger =)

One of the best burgers in town guaranteed!!! My favorite lunch spot on Fridays from work. The mile high and little boy burger are my two favs, plus the dogs are pretty amazing as well!! I like the finway frank the best. Pretty nice place to watch a game due to the amount of tvs in the place and especially the ones at each booth.

Solid restaurant. The menu is one of a kind in the area. It features a wide selection of hotdogs from their namesake locals. The Fenway Frank, Chicago Dog, the Mile High Dog, and my personal favorite, the Dome Dog which has an andouille sausage toped with red beans. The burgers are pretty good but I don't like the bun (I am in the vast minority on this point). It's a cool place on either a game day or a Thursday.

Heard so much about place. Was not impressed with burger and onion rings. Had the small burger. It was a meatball on a bun. Thick overdone patty on a too large bun. The rings were not hand dipped. Service was excellent.
