Sausage egg and cheese biscuit... AWESOME and cheap. Best bang for your buck. Sometimes backed up but you can call ahead to order.

This is dive place. Has character but food is so so. I had omelette and it was very so so. The opposite of fluffy if that is how you like it. Hash browns are frozen. Biscuits are made here but not worth coming back for. Not the place for me.

Insanely cheap and delicious. Great local spot with a real local feel. Servers knew nearly all of the customers names.

I hadn't been here in years so I decided to give this place a try. Just as I remembered they had a steady flow of customers. The prices weren't that much different from what I remember still getting a decent meal at a reasonable price. To bad more places in Lafayette can't get ahold of this concept. As for the meal I got the 3 egg platter with a biscuit, grits and chicken tenders all for $5.00.

I am pretty sure that I had the best biscuit of my life last time I visited here. This includes all biscuit experiences that came with eating in New Orleans and southern Tennessee. I really don't think biscuits get a lot better than how they are done when they are fresh from this place.

First thought when reviewing this place, I lost my pictures for this place, I am highly upset/sad right now.. But the world must go on.. Anyways, this is a very small facility, but yet it packs a punch-of-a-breakfast! Feels like you're sitting in your own kitchen having breakfast, BUT with out-of-this-world-delicious biscuits! I don't remember what I had, it wasn't anything special but it was still good. I would come here again, especially for their biscuits.

We were staying the hotel down the street and decided to give it a try. We arrived by foot just after 11:00. They informed us they actually closed at 11 but because we were from out of town they would serve us anyway. We were in the mood for lunch and didn't want to make them stay late. We politely declined the offer and asked if there someplace nearby they recommended for lunch. They recommended a place that was out of the range we wanted to walk. So the owner said he'd take us and went out the back and pulled his car around and gave us a ride to T-coons restaurant. This is the only place I've even heard of that will take you to a competing business. Thats some amazing southern service. I'll be back to try the food on my next visit.

Got out my car to the aroma of a dumpster full of rotting warm trash . Walked into a building that has floors that have layers of dirt especially under the tables. Anything baked is probably good here as where the biscuits, cinnamon roll, and blueberry biscuit but the bacon , eggs, and hash brown tasted if it were cooked in unclean grease or dirty cooktop. I did manage to get a few bites before I noticed the trail of ants crawling on the wall and left the building. Take the Baked goods and go leave anything fried for the pest population.

Best biscuits I've ever had! Made my stop in Lafayette very memorable. Thank goodness I don't live in Lafayette otherwise, I wouldn't be able to NOT stop in every morning. Job well done - thanks for welcoming me to the South!

Best biscuits!!!! And the service is awesome. I had a big order and was running really late and there was a big line and wait. So I got out of line to leave and the owner come out and asked what I needed. I tried to say nicely that it was okay you guys are busy. He made me give him the order and it was out in 5 minutes. If you don't like there food or service there is something wrong with you.

Like most restaurants in Lafayette, Edies is delicious, but clearly put on this Earth to satiate the fat person inside you. Or if you are fat, then you are stoked as a whole. Breakfast has never had so many yummy grams of fat.

Seriously, why would you start your morning without first stopping at Edie's for a biscuit? Edie's biscuits are unmatched in flavor and portion size of any biscuit shop in any city I have visited. I wish I lived in Lafayette! I actually drive from Houston to satisfy my biscuit cravings!

Delicious, freshly prepared food served by very friendly people. The only thing I wish is that they were open more, I can only make it there if I wake up way before I have to be at work. But it is always worth it. Great place!

Edie's does basic food exceptionally well. The biscuits are more than just biscuits. They are in fact sublime gifts from a higher power. They somehow are more than the sum of their parts. Funny thing is that my favorite thing on the menu is the "lite" pasta. It's far from "lite" but I guess everything is relative. Lunch gets busy but it's worth the wait. Since it's in Lafayette there is a really nice LA flavor that threads through the recipes but the place isn't exactly a Cajun restaurant. Great for breakfast or lunch.
