A fast food joint right across the street from a hospital. Well, there were actually more choices, but I can't stomach Popeye's or Taco Bell. I looooove spicy food, so every time I hit up a Wendy's I order the Jalapeno Ghost Pepper Fries. They're never as spicy as I'd like, but they do a good job. I also got a Jalapeno Fresco chicken sandwich combo with a lemonade (which was nice and sour). It uses the same sauce and jalapenos as the fries, so while not terribly creative, it's still okay. The bun was super dry, of course, but that tends to be the thing with fast food bread. Weird. The fries... Salty. I witnessed the person making the fries and chicken nuggets just dump a buttload of salt on the freshly fried fries. I kept saying to myself, "Watch me get those high blood pressure potato sticks." Sure enough, I did. If the salt doesn't melt in your mouth, but stays crunchy, there's too much. To me, the sauce is more cheesy than spicy. Most American palates can't handle the spice, but I wish they were more aggressive with it. Throw some jalapeno seeds on it, why don't cha? The place was clean. Like super clean. I think I watched them clean each bathroom twice while I was there. Staff, courteous. The woman who took my order walked like her feet hurt, but she kept a smile on her face. Hardworking people give me warm fuzzies~ Not a bad place to make a pit-stop.
