The sandwiches are all priced very well. The swamp poboy was good if you like messy. I had heard the onion rings were great however I found that they lacked seasoning and spice.

My first restaurant experience in Houma took me to this place. As I walked in, the set-up seemed more bar-ish than restaurant-ish. Decor/environment was nothing super impressive, but who cares. I was promptly greeted and sat in a booth by the window. As I was looking at the menu, I was presented with a vast array of options, all of the fried type. But, I'm not complaining. I decided on the platter that came with fried catfish, fried popcorn shrimp, and fried bacon wrapped shrimp. I chose potato salad as my side. It also came with a salad. The salad was just shredded iceburg lettuce, like the kind that most people would put on a taco. It had diced tomato on it, like the kind that most people would put on a taco. I put french and ranch dressing on it, and it was edible. I guess that it is pretty typical of Southern potato salad to be pureed? The flavor was good, but I'm just not a huge fan of the baby food consistency potato salad that I have experienced at a few other restaurants in the south. There were some chunks of potato in it. I guess that I'm just not accustomed to the southern way of making potato salad. The catfish, shrimp, and bacon wrapped shrimp were tasty. They were a bit salty to suit my taste, but that tends to happen with fried foods. Out of everything, I would say that the bacon wrapped shrimp were my favorite. But, then again, bacon makes everything better. Everything else was good.

Very good. The swampboy is awesome, sloppy goodness. Great gumbo and fried oysters are awesome! The parking leaves something to be desired...very cramped.

They have one of the best crab soups I have ever tasted. Full of crab meat...very good. Also had the philly sandwich which we split a 4" and the onion rings, which were by far the best. Very pleased with this establishment. It was very busy and not too big but they have great food. Would recommend.

This is usually a great spot to have a meal however the last few times I've had a club salad they have really been skimpy on everything except the lettuce terribly disappointed right now. In all fairness the staff is really friendly here and that's the reason I come back hopefully we can get the salad together soon

Best roast beef poboy in south Louisiana! New orleans needs to take notes! French bread delivery daily from duets bakery down the bayou. Awesome

Another gem in Houma!!! Went for lunch and had the 8 inch Philly Cheese Prime Rib Sandwich. The meat was a generous portion, well seasoned and tender. It actually melted in my mouth. We split an order of onion rings. The rings were not at all greasy and served with a dipping sauce with a hint of horseradish. Great place for lunch. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient.

Menu has changed and food is now mediocre. Used to be a great spot for fried crawfish spinach salad and poboy's but now with menu changes its not as good. Staff is not very friendly either.

I was really hoping to enjoy this place, but was disappointed. Staff was friendly enough, but our crab cake appetizer was not a real crab cake, and our server entered the wrong size sandwich into their system. Hubby ended up with a 12 inch instead of the 8 inch Oyster po'boy that he ordered. He overheard management chastise our waitress, so when she told us she would be paying the difference in price out of her own pocket, Hubby told her we would pay. Then the check came, and her mistake was a $6 mistake. My catfish sandwich had too little fish, and his oysters were mostly breading. Won't return to a Griffins.

Griffin's makes a darn good po-boy. While in Houma we needed a good but casual lunch spot. Griffin's was recommended and fit our needs perfectly. Let me start by saying that people in Houma are some of the most friendly in Louisiana. Everyone I have dealt with has been so nice and helpful. I am sure there are some rude people, but I have yet to encounter any. Now back to the review. Griffin's is a casual restaurant with an outdoor deck. It was super hot so we gladly sat inside. Our waitress greeted us and took our order. We all ordered Po-Boys. I ordered a prime rib philly cheese steak. It was awesome. It was blackened prime rib with peppers, onions and cheese. This thing was wonderful. The steak had a good spice and was very juicy. I highly recommend this sandwich. Service was very good. The waitress referred to us by the name bay, which was a nice touch. If you're in Houma, check out Griffin's. In fact, I can't wait to go back.

Good food I love the blackened shrimp Poboy. Good atmosphere you can order and play video poker while waiting.

It's ok...they are slow & always busy. Servers are usually not in the best of moods. The food is ok but not great. It use to be better but they changed the menu & use some lower quality ingredients now. Not a good place to go if you are in a hurry...

Made a quick stop here on my way to watch the LSU-FLA game at a bud's house in Houma - service was quick on the "to go" order - got the Bayou Muffaletta (regular muffaletta but dressed like a poboy) and baby it was OUTSTANDING!!! In Houma and wanting a tasty Poboy definitely give this place a look - I'll make a stop next time I'm in town, count on it!! Oh yeah they do these fries they call Marsh Fries with fries covered in cheese & smothered in brown gravy, my arteries are clogging just writing about it. Didn't get a shot to try 'em but they're top o' the list next time in.

Handsdown the best sandwich in town is their primerib phillysteak! Everything on menu is good, but the sandwich is the best!!!

fried oyster plate + spinach salad with spicy dressing = the only thing I like about Houma! Every time we're in this town, we have to hit up Griffin's. Friendly people and delicious fried oysters! Nuff said...

Had a very good shrimp po-boy and Ferdy po-boy, with swamp fries (french fries with cheese and gravy). The young lady that served us was very helpful. Nice place for lunch.

I absolutely love this place and in my opinion its the best place in Houma to get fried seafood. I always order the fried seafood platter with a loaded baked potato. The avocado dressing on the salad is wonderful as well! Try it!

Review overdue but food remembered fondly. Went straight for the po-boys, had a couple different ones while in town. Recommended: blackened shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp and half shrimp-half oyster. Sides were good-red beans and rice, salad.

Fried shrimp was tiny and dry, we were there right as they opened so I was expecting fresh shrimp but I think we got the night's before shrimp... Salad was unimaginative and bland (read: iceberg lettuce and some tomato) that's it! Not worth the money, would I go back? Nope.
