Absolutely fantastic, and worth a trip to the westbank. Lentil soup is delicious, managing to be both rich and hearty yet bright in flavor from lemon peel. Lunches are generously portioned, and the garlic sauce- a creamy aioli accompanying most lunch specials is absolutely addictive. meal includes pita and is preceded by a complimentary pickled vegetable medley. LOVE this place

Good food but inconsistent prices. Never looks super crowded. Kind of hidden.

Recent changes by management. Less pita in my order and to go orders don't come with the soup/salad listed on the menu. You will have to pay for them separately if you want your soup to go! non sense. Is it that difficult to put the soup in a to go cup??

Omg this place is so bomb. You really get your money's worth here. Large portions and friendly service. My waitress was constantly around to make sure we were okay, but at the same time she wasn't around too much where it was annoying. Prompt service, always on point with the refills. The atmosphere here was super homie. Oh and try the Lebanese tea! It's soooo good.

Absolutely delicious!! We had the gyro, shawarma and veggie plates and they were phenomenal!! Service seemed a little slow at first, but so incredibly worth it!

First timer! I ordered the gyro sandwich to go with fries and feta cheese all under 8 dollars. Everything was good! I wAnt to come back and dine. Wish they can be busier with the dining room!

I was pleasantly surprised to find GOOD Mediterranean food on the Westbank. Cleopatra didn't disappoint at all. Well, maybe in the customer service department, since we had to wait a long time before anyone acknowledged that we were there, but I can always forgive that if the food is awesome. And it was. Oh, one thing to note, if you ask for water, you are going to pay a ridiculous amount for a tiny bottle of Dasani. Better off going with the iced tea for a better value.

Full disclosure: although I'm an adventurous eater, I'm not super familiar with Middle Eastern food. In fact, I have only been to Lebanon's Cafe once and Byblos a few times. So, when the boyfriend/man I'm seeing suggested Cleopatra's, I was down. He goes here a lot and tells me how good it is, so I figured it was worth a shot. We went on a weeknight and walking in, I was kind of nervous. There was hardly anyone here for dinner, but then again, it is the Westbank on a Wednesday. For my drink I decided to try the Lebanese iced tea. It was pretty good and I would liken it to fruit punch more than tea, but I enjoyed it. For my entree I decided on the beef (it might be called 'gourmet') shwarma. It came with a side of rice, hummus and salad. It was all really good. I found the meat tender and full of flavor. The hummus was super good as was the salad. The rice was a little bland, but it wasn't terrible. I would definitely go back! Because there wasn't a crowd, we were served fairly quickly and we didn't feel rushed.

Okay, why is this place always empty? Because the food is ah-mazing. So good that I looked past the pain of a post-dental visit and dug into the gourmet shwarma. It came with the best hummus I ever eaten, super flavorful but slightly dry beef, rice, and tangy salad which is good too. Boyfriend had the lamb gyro which was delicious too. I enjoyed my meal a lot and took every last crumb to go lol. I'll be back soon for sure.

Definitely try the gyro sandwich!! And add feta cheese too. That just makes it perfect! They use sideway cut pita bread for their gyros, not in a wrap form. The lamb is really good on its on and the sauce is on par. A little light on veggies but not the meat. Been here a few times, just on to go orders, and never see anyone in here. Maybe in the evenings it gets busy? Looking forward to eating in one day, just no one in my family will eat this...and I hate eating alone and being fat. Makes me look even more pathetic than I really am.

5 stars for this one-- I always order the chicken shawarma and it is the best I've ever had. It comes with a buttery, garlicky white sauce that I die for. Great atmosphere-- cute flowers on all of the tables. It's always empty when I go around dinner time. You wanna try this place-- trust!

Got take out for my family tonight. I got two gyro plates, there was no pita bread. Check your order not one table in the resturant when I picked up my order. For a place that prides them self for making fresh pita bread everyday on there Website , boy would would I hold have love to have some on my gyro and to dip into my hummus. And I gave the hostesses a 2.00 tip for my take out .

Had dinner here with my husband a few months ago. Food was just okay. Atmosphere awkward as hell, as well as the waiter. Expensive

Favorite middle eastern restaurant on the West Bank. The lentil soup is delicious and you can get it in place of the salad as an appetizer. They also give you some pickled veggies and olives as a complimentary appetizer which are delicious. The chicken Schwarma with the light garlic sauce is my favorite!

Really really really.. (Takes a deep breath for air bc I ate too much) good. The mini lamb chops came with hummus, sautéed vegetables, and bismati rice. My entree came with this thing that looks and taste like fluffy butter but it isn't. It's coconut oil and garlic with some other ingredients. They call it the "garlic sauce." Omg it's so badass when eaten with the bismati rice.-droooools- my friend had the gyro plate which was lamb and beef, hummus, and bismati rice. His came with the tzatziki sauce but he was eating the "garlic sauce" off my plate. Everything was just soo good. And it's all lean protein so like.. I don't feel guilty at all being that I'm on this macro diet. Truthfully, I wanted to try the Arabic pancakes they had posted on their Facebook page but unfortunately they don't serve it until 8pm and those go by phone orders. From what the server said, it sells "ALOT." Well this experience isn't over bc I'm gonna be calling hours later for this Arabic pancake.

The food is good but not feeling any kind of I want to help you service. I'm the only person in here and getting a pfft vibe from the staff.

Popped in for takeout the other night and I've gotta say I was really impressed. Friendly staff, clean restaraunt, and great food! We had Tabouli salad, chicken shawarma, vegetable soup, and the lamb gyro--all excellent choices. We also tried the Lebanese tea which was great. I would definitely recommend.

Nice place. Excellent food and nice service. Definitely should try it out! I usually get the gyro plate. I've heard they have a buffet sometimes, but haven't tried it yet. I'm sure it's good too.

Delicious food and wonderful customer service! The falafel had a lot of flavor and their hummus is perfection. The homemade pita really sets this restaurant apart from other competitors.

Another hidden gem on the West Bank. We'd been hitting up Mona's or Lebanon for our Middle Eastern food fixes, but were reluctant to cross the bridge one night. I've got to say, this is now my favorite! Great hummus and grape leaves. Great kabobs and shwarma. If you're a West Banker looking for a great spot closer to home, check this place out.

I sampled everyone's food. I got the chicken zaran (sp) it was really good. The special beef schwarma was good but my favorite was the gyro. The pita bread is delicious and we split the sampler app plate. All of it was good.

The best shawarma in the West Bank

Very yummy. They start you off upon sit down with marinated veggies and warm pita bread. Waiter suggested Leabonese iced tea to me. Loved it. Service was quick and refills on drinks non stop. Enjoyed thd hummus app and Chicken Schwarma dinner. We split it. Enough for two. If you tell them in advance they will divide the plates for you. Only downfall is no alcohol license. Will return!

Food is good, but the restaurant seems a little blah. It seems they need to put some money into decorating and updating the interior.

An excellant middle eastern restaurant in an are otherwise filled mostly with bad chain restaurants. The staples of such a restaurant (hummus, beef/chicken schwarma, rice, salads) are all of a good quality. Also try their lentil soup that you can get in place of salad with their lunches which is exceptional.

My husband and I visited Cleopatra for dinner, and I am SO glad we did. We had the sampler plate for an appetizer. It was delicious, I ate the sampler kabob with steak, kofta and chicken kabob; all of which was hands down the best kabob I've ever eaten. My husband ate the sayadiah something with tilapia and shrimp, he loved his as well. Even if your not that big of a fan of Lebanese food, I still recommend this place. It's amazing.

My wife talked me into this place just the other night as she used to work within lunch break distance and went there. First thing I noticed was the pricing. It was very reasonable. Felafel was $4.95 for an order, hummus was the same. We ordered both and were going to leave it at that (weren't very hungry) but once I found how good the appetizers were, we ordered the steak kabobs to go and split it later. Very impressed with the quality of meat on those skewers and they were cooked perfectly. They bring you out pita, oil and seasoning (the old mix and dip) on the house. I could have filled up on that before the appetizers. All in all, good food here. Someone else mentioned the decor...yeah it's dated but you get past it when you taste the food. The only thing I would have a problem with was that there appeared to be only one person working in the front handling all those tables. Not sure if it was that night only or it's common but there were some delays, especially with paying when we were ready to go. But the gentleman was handling eight to ten tables by himself, one of which was a party of 12 so his hands were full. Update: This is now my favorite place to eat on the Westbank.

This is the first time I have ever gotten sick while still in a restaurant. The girly didn't want any Asian food while we were on the Westbank so we stopped at this place. It is in an almost empty strip-mall. I won't be too specific about everything we ordered but I will say that the fried foods came out hard on the outside and slimy on the inside. I think their deep fryer is set too high or they reheat previously partially cooked food. I do know it only took about 3 minutes for them to bring out all the fried foods. From the moment we sat down, I kept thinking I smelled cat pee but I didn't say anything to the girly just in case it was my imagination or something. But she got this look on her face, leaned over to me and said, "Do you smell cat pee?". So I'm glad it wasn't just me thinking that. The longer I sat there, the more I could smell it too. Maybe they let cats loose at night...maybe it's something that SMELLS just like cat pee but isn't. I can't say. I didn't make it through my appetizers (totally misnamed in this case) when I started getting really sick to my stomach. The slime from the falafels mixed with the odd flavor of the kibby left me nauseous. Mix that with the cat pee smell and I just couldn't handle it. My hands were shaking, i was sweating and girly said I went all pale. My girly's beef dish had an odd aftertaste more like goat or lamb or meat that had turned a bit before they cooked it. It was really sickening. She did say the rice and garlic something something on the side were ok. All in all, I can see why they don't have much business. I actually had to stop and buy Pepto before going home. Before we made it home, poor girly had to take a few swigs too. She ended up as sick as I was.

I have been a fan of Cleopatra for several years. The ambiance of the room is warm and inviting as is the wait staff as you enter. There are times when they are very busy but you can always get a table as they can seat over 150 people easy. The food has never been a let down. The Lentil soup is a great appetizer but the Lamb is a must. The shrimp are always fresh and the Gyro is authentic. This is a great restaurant for families and business, or special occasions. I have done them all.

I've had better, but it was tasty. Lamb kabob was tender.

I've always been meaning to go here, but the past two times I wanted to, they were having wedding receptions. Anyways, the inside is nice, white table cloths, folded napkins, chandeliers, etc. We started off with the Cleopatra sampler which included stuffed grape leaves, hummus, seasoned yogurt, tomato and cucumber salad, and falafel. Also had the baba ganouj. Everything was solid, and it was probably the best hummus I've had (everyone elses seems to lack something or be too overpowering with tahini), this one was on point. The pita was also delicious, not too chewy, and you can see slight charring which I like. We got lebanese teas (first time trying it). Refreshing, not too sweet, but not for everyone. I got the mousaka as an entree and it was my first time ever having it. It was indeed flavorful, but I would've thought it would be more moist than it was. All entrees are served with lentil soup (favorite part of the meal), hummus (go figure), and seasoned basmati rice with some sort of noodle. Our service was very friendly and attentive. We never had to flag her down, refilled drinks promply, and even played with my 1 year old niece a little. Only complaint is that she was not very familiar with the menu, but she always would go out of her way to find out. Will definitely return.

Try the lebenese tea. It's great! Also the Pita sandwiches are fantastic (either shawarma). Meat pies, hummas, grilled veggies and anything with steak are also big wins. Baklava is great as well, very sweet. Only negative is that the pita sandwiches do not hold up well when ordering take out (breaks up). Best to eat everything there nice and fresh.

The menu at this restaurant ranges from hummus to entrees of musakhan--that comes with salad and bread. The bread is home made in the restaurant itself. The lentil soup is the best in the city. They recently added a lunch special. The wait staff is attentive but small. This is only a problem when the restaurant is full--which is unfortunately seldom.

For food? 5 stars. It got 4 because of the service. Try the chicken shawarma!

Attentive service, clean and well kept dining room. I've only been for lunch and each time its been well under capacity. Ive left with the feeling that I got more than I deserved for the money.
