Had the Special Barqs sirloin Friday night in the bar while the guys watched the LSU basketball game and topped it off with the Gingerbread martini. It doesn't get any better than that! Except the LSU game could have been a win like Sno's was!!!!

The thing I like about Sno's is the fact that anything goes as far as attire is concerned. It is a true 'Come As You Are' restaurant. Tonight was a great example of this with business suits at one table, a guy wearing a wife beater at another, at least one John Deere camouflage cap in the room and everything in between. Personally I enjoy the people watching potential here but the best part is that the management and wait staff treat everyone equally respectfully. The dining room does remind me of an old geriatric banquet hall a little but I can tell there have been some recent updates, including the restroom and parking lot area. I was very pleased with my dish of Chicken Florentine with a steamed vegetable medley. The vegetables were perfectly seasoned and cooked just the right amount. Not soggy, slightly crisp. The chicken was grilled through without being dry and I could easily make a meal out of the creamed spinach topping. There is a lighter/healthy version of this dish under the 'Ideal' menu and I appreciate that should I ever have the will to opt for it. We started with an appetizer of seafood stuffed mushrooms and they were excellent. The mushrooms were not overly juicy which tends to ruin them for me when fried but not here. Dessert was a slice of Charlie's Cheesecake to go. It is always phenomenal but I did feel a little slighted since I got home to see it was just a sliver and not even close to the picture shown on the menu. I hope that was an oversight due to it being a to-go order. I didn't need to eat a big hunk anyhow. I also noticed the parking lot is monitored with a nice security system that is consistently viewed from the hostess/manager station. I will be back soon.

The atmosphere is great. It's not overly loud and obnoxious like many places in the area. I like to eat at the bar, and the bar tenders have really good service. The martinis are absolutely good. I had a dirty martini, blue berry martini, and lemon drop martini. The pork chop is phenomenal along with the duck. I loved every meal here along with the service. My favorite place to eat in the local area.

We are regulars at Sno's and we always have a great dining experience there from the quality of the food as well as the warm hospitality of the staff! Their seafood dishes, salads, appetizers, lunch entrees, and the hamburger steak are consistently great. However, we wanted to place emphasis on two notable dishes we had tonight...the Duckling Dutsie and the Prime Rib (featured entree). The duck never disappoints and is the most unique way to enjoy duck. It is sliced perfectly and grilled to perfection according to your temperature requests with an oyster dressing and a burgundy reduction with just a hint of orange. It is honestly difficult to order anything else on the many occasions we visit Sno's because it is delightful and extremely tender! The thickness of the prime rib was as impressive as the tenderness and flavor which melted in your mouth like butter. Also to accompany this amazing cut of prime rib was the perfect au jus and a housemade horseradish. We did have a piece of Mississippi Mud for dessert on the house since we were celebrating our anniversary which also was delicious! This establishment is family owned locally and has been a part of our community for generations. Sno's keeps getting better and better!

Food was delicious. Husband ate seafood and I had a healthier chicken meal. We also got the crawfish "after the boil" cakes appetizer. Interesting and quite good!

Some things are great, some things are good, some things are lacking. My husband had a perfectly grilled filet, my seasonal eggplant dish, the charbroiled oysters and crab cakes were really yummy, the drinks were good, but the side salad was nothing more than lettuce, croutons and two grape tomatoes. Alex, our waiter, was knowledgable and personable. We didn't have our girls with us tonight, but feel like it's a family friendly place. We will bring them next time.

Don't waste your time or money here. Seriously: don't do it. At the recommendation of our server I ordered the red fish. It was so salty it was almost inedible. The rest of our table ordered steaks which they said had almost no seasoning (I think it's because they used up all of the salt on my fish). The one steak was ordered medium rare and it came to the table still mooing, so back to the grill it went. After struggling through dinner, three of us were intrigued by the "famous" white chocolate bread pudding. We quickly learned just because it says it's famous on the menu doesn't mean it's good. It wasn't awful, but I have experienced much better bread pudding in the Bayou. The prices charged did not reflect the quality provided. Overall a very disappointing meal.

Nicely decorated on the outside, this quaint restaurant is an eye catcher at night with the pretty twinkling lights. We got to the restaurant about 45 minutes before closing so it wasn't really crowded, but there was a lot of cleaning/sweeping around us which was distracting. We ordered the Shrimp Casino (or casino shrimp??) as an appetizer. Bacon wrapped sorta spicy jumbo shrimp covered in mozzarella cheese. Um, YES please! However, I didn't care for this appetizer at all because underneath the layer of cheese was a mound of ketchup. Yes, plain KETCHUP. It destroyed the dish and was not necessary. Why glob ketchup on it? I think it's safe to say you can make any dish with shrimp, bacon, and cheese as ingredients work without Ketchup. Anyway, I ordered the crab cakes with lump crab meat, seafood stuffed potato and a side of grilled asparagus. My date ordered the Ribeye ($30 dollars) topped with shrimp and mushrooms (an additional $10). My food was okay - the fried crab cakes were heavily breaded, and came served on a bed of noodles and with LOT of hollandaise sauce on top of the noodles, so they were kinda soggy on the bottom. The asparagus was good, but a little overcooked. There was not much crabmeat in the dish but the bit that I did have complimented the crab cakes well. My seafood stuffed potato was delish. My date said his steak was excellent - I didn't taste it because he ordered it Medium Rare (um, no thanks). So next time I will get the seafood stuffed potato and a steak when I come here. This is a place that I will have to go back to try other menu items. It's close to my house and has a nice atmosphere, you could tell from the customers interaction with the servers that there are many regulars who love this place. A little too pricey to come here regularly, but I'll be back!

Had the prime rib and it was superb! They grilled it for me to cook a bit more and it did not compromise flavor! Wayyyy too much food! Will need to go back and try other goodies!

Had a great meal (blackened catfish) - Husband had a seafood platter that was huge. The kids especially enjoyed the magician. Overall - a fun outing.

Love the ideal protein menu. Service was ok. Desserts like bread pudding are amazing. Lovely wine selection!

Sunday night about 7pm. Waited maybe 10 minutes for a table. Crab finger appetizer(fried crab claws) had a little too much breading. Crab stuffed tilapia was tender, flaky and light. Crab cakes were a little cool but flavorful and cooked to perfection. Good food and good value.

Always love eating at Sno's!! The food is consistently good. We get take out from here frequently. The lite menu is my favorite lite menu ever. I've tried everything listed on the lite menu! The speckled trout is my favorite choice. It comes cooked in two different ways...in parchment paper with rosemary, or grilled. The side I always choose is broccoli (it's always seasoned and cooked to tender perfection), and a side salad. The times we have eaten in the restaurant have been without complaint. The service is top notch and the restaurant is spacious and clean. We took my mom and grandmother here when they came for a visit shortly after we moved to this area and it was a perfect choice!

I can't wait to go back. We had the Shrimp Hilda with the stuffed baked potato and Fish Almondine with stuffed baked potato. They were awesome. We topped it off with the white chocolate bread pudding. The service was excellent. Miss Harley made sure we had everything we needed. Very enjoyable experience. Next trip we're trying the Seafood platters.

I really want to go back and try this place for dinner. Stopped in with a bud one day after a round of golf....sat in the bar and enjoyed a nice late lunch (2ish)....the mananger and most likely the lead waitress were sitting in the bar having a meal before the afternoon/evening rush kicked into gear and enjoyed shooting the breeze with them. Both were very personable. Went with a burger and it was tasty. Service was great and, as stated, makes me want to go back and grab a steak one night and see what my thoughts are then!!

Not bad. Good family atmosphere. Waitstaff was super sweet and there was a magician to entertain the little ones and was actually fun to watch.. I ordered duck, not the greatest duck but not bad.. The dressing was cold. My boyfriends dish however was blackened catfish, classic and simple but tasty. His sister's dish was also sinfully rich and tasty some artichoke and crab bake thing.. Omg heart clogging rich. So seafood dishes excellent but there's definitely better duck.

The dining room makes you think you're in a banquet hall with the crappy table and chairs, but the food does not. The seafood was fresh and fried, which can never be two bad characteristics. I had a plate that clogged my arteries just looking at with catfish, craw fish, stuffed crab, soft shell crab, oysters, fries, onion rings, shrimp and a cup of gumbo. It was all extremely tasty... If the service was better, it would have been 4/5-star review.

Used to go here regularly and I mean more than once a week. It was and still is an institution in the area. I have to say though the quality has dropped considerably in the past 3 years and haven't been back in over a year. The past 3-4 times we went it was just very sub-par. Most fried items were fried to a dry, brittle, crisp and were very greasy tasting. Seasoning if an item was extremely hit or miss with a range of bland to so salty I had to spit it out. This is one of two places in my life that I have sent an item back. Most entree portions are now much smaller and more expensive as well. The past few servers were rude or non-attentive. What a shame as said, we used to love this place. So sad to see an institution fade away.

I've been hearing about Sno's Seafood and Steakhouse for years, so when I finally moved to the area, it was one of the first places I visited. I am sad to say I was disappointed. I know many people love this place, but I found the food to be average, and the prices to be high. The atmosphere was not really that inviting to me as well. I wanted to rate them higher based on other people I know's opinion, but since I am not inclined to visit them again, will have to give them only two stars.

2nd time we have had dinner at Sno's..and 2nd time its been horrible. We had Prime Rib at $30 for a 12 oz unseasoned piece of prime rib. No seasoning at all. I ordered it med rare..it came out cold and medium. My other two guests ordered the special that was Flounder with shrimp and the shrimp were very fishy tasting. Crabcakes looked like it came out of the frozen dept at walmart. Having been to Maryland I guess I am spoiled on crabcakes but for the money we spent on this place with NO atmosphere at all..and very mediocre food...for La. supposing to be the Seafood Capital....this was a very bad dinner.

Everything was great from the food to the service and the new atmosphere. Charbroiled oysters were incredible and the dirty martini was perfect.
