In the land of po-boys, I was amazed that a McCalisters has stayed in business for as long as it has. That, of course, was before I had actually been here. This place isn't my regular type of place, but their soups and sandwiches are pretty good. I wont go here often, but it is a good lunchtime sandwich place if you aren't in the mood for a po-boy.

One of my favorite places to go to when I'm not sure what I want to eat. My favorites here are the club sandwich and the chicken tortilla soup. I'm not a soup person, so this says a lot to me when I pick a soup as a favorite dish. Serve this up with a cup of their world famous iced tea and you have the perfect lunch or dinner. Speaking of the tea, I think they put crack or something in it. I usually kill three cups of the stuff while eating and get a fourth refill to go. I also enjoy the baked potatoes. My favorite being the Spud Ole'. It comes drenched in chili, cheese and jalepenos. The "Big Nasty" is an attempt at a New Orleans roast beef poboy. It comes close, but don't kid yourself. Go get you a roast beef at a traditional poboy joint.

Great food, every time we go I end up getting the club or one of their loaded baked potatoes and a giant tea!

I'm posting this as I'm waiting for my food to arrive. Even if this is the best salad of my life, it won't change my review. Literally half the restaurant is unusable because they haven't bussed the tables in a while. Possibly all day. The tables are covered with old food and dirty napkins. Congealed soup that has clearly been sitting out for hours. It's disgusting. If I weren't traveling with two starving kids, I wouldn't stay. I definitely won't be back. Update: food was not good.

I order take out from here at least once a week. Really great and inexpensive food that is made quickly. I love their Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller! The staff is really nice as well, and the sweet tea is one of a kind great!

I love their pick 2 combo. I always get half a sandwich and a baked potato. Love their spud max! Tip: Order online and skip the line! Lines are super long during lunch time so order ahead of time so you don't have to wait

Ahahahaha this person complaining about cellulose...... Really? Way to demonstrate how trivial your issue was with the place. If anything it goes to show that you really have to reach to complain about their food. The place is great the food was delicious and the staff were extremely attentive. My wife and I will definitely be going back. The people complaining here seem jaded. Im positive you won't find a better sandwich in this neck of the woods.

Today I ordered Turkey Cranberry salad. It's not worth the price you paid. Mostly lettuce and few cromlech of turkey meat. Too much money for this one!!

The first time I got a grilled cheese and tomato soup. They were both OK... the grilled cheese wasn't as cheesy as I was hoping. I also got a heath cookie and it was completely flavorless. The second time I got a italian sandwich. It was not that great.. Jimmy Johns is better. However, my chocolate chip cookie was pretty good! The third time I got a tuna melt. It was also not great. Neither was the side of mac and cheese. No flavor. My mate got a sandwich that had a small piece of blonde hair in it... If you're wondering why I keep coming back here after not being impressed, it's because my work team chose to eat there and I got dragged along. ;)

I've eaten here many times and have had pleasant experiences. I've tried a few different sandwiches which were all good. They also have very tasty potato salad. The service has been great. I'm usually always asked 2 or 3 times if I need anything. They are on top of things here.

Great casual place! I love this as a lunch place or to go place. It's cheap, and quick. I usually get the chicken Caesar wrap. It's always pretty good. Nice staff and clean restaurant.

How does a restaurant have so many items on the menu that all have a similarly bland taste? I can't help but think this place should be on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares reality show where he helps the restaurant reduce their menu and learn how to cook a few things well. McAlister's reminds me of a place back home that I no longer frequent because they can't even get the Ranch dressing right. When the main-stay type sauces start to taste weird, you know something's up. Here, the mayonnaise tasted weird, as did the PowerAde of all things. McAlister's Deli was a huge disappointment for two reasons - 1) this is so my type of food (sandwiches, salads, potatoes, paninis) and not one item was served properly and 2) I went there not once, but twice on my short work trip and even brought some co-workers with me on the second outing even after being warned by the locals that this place was to be avoided. I figured out of all of their offerings something must be decent. The fact that there was no line and only two people in the seating area during the lunch rush should have clued me in. Here's what we tried: Garden salad - completely dry chunks of flavorless lettuce, a few croutons, a sprinkling of cheese, a tomato here and there and a few cucumbers with ranch dressing. It was unbelievably dry. I hate salads that require loads of dressing for flavor. New Orleans Muffuletta without meat - muffuletta bread with olive salad, cheese and mayonnaise. The bread was decent. The mayonnaise was not right. I am an olive addict and I thought the olives sucked. Broccoli soup - fattening, bland and luke warm. I have had better broccoli soup everywhere else I have tried it. Chicken salad sandwich - my friend said it was flavorless. Ham and turkey - not good. How do you mess this up? PowerAde - it was poured out for tasting like a knock-off. Enough cons? Here are some pros: Nice Staff Dirty dishes are cleared from your table The tap water was tasty and cold Plenty of seating Plenty of parking No lines Note: Any other restaurant located in the same parking lot has better food.

McAlister's is a great place to grab something quick to eat for lunch. You can eat in or get it to go. The place is clean with plenty of booths and tables. The staff is friendly and efficient. I usually order either their grilled chicken Caesar wrap or the McAlister Club wrap. Both sandwiches are pretty good. Sometimes I get adventuresome and order something different off the menu. The sandwiches come with a side. Sometimes I order the fruit cup and other times I'm bad and I order the chips. McAlister's is known for their tea, but it is way too sweet for me. I order it unsweetened and add some fake sugar.

In fairness I only have had a salad here, but if you like pre-cut pre-washed lettuce, pre-cooked pre-sliced cold chicken, pre-shredded institutional cheese (with the gross cellulose dusting to keep it from sticking), in a very conservative size... then this is your place. Tea was good but that's about it - certainly will not be back.
