Stopped on our way back to Texas and stumbled on this little town, fried chicken was kind of the only choice but everything was very good. The chicken was crunchy and tasty and the service was southern welcoming. The place is not in great condition but food was good.

My wife was craving fried chicken so we pulled off the interstate and found this gem. She had the fried chicken, regular and spicy, and it was incredible. I had the Big Al Burger and a side of dirty rice. Both were outstanding.

I give the food itself five stars. The food is AMAZING!!! The price is good especially for what you get. The only reason I gave it four was that its pretty dirty and the ventilation is poor, it gets pretty smokey from the cooking, and I would wait and use a restroom somewhere else. We had the three piece chicken, the Big Al burger, and onion rings. The chicken by far stole the show with the onion rings in a close second. I would eat there again, maybe use the drive through, and would highly recommend!

It takes seriously good fried chicken to make my fancy girl wife eat caveman style. Uncle Albert's fried chicken is that good. Unassuming little place in Boyce, just north of Alexandria, LA. Spicy fried chicken has a nice kick to it. Great place for a snack on road trips to New Orleans. Try it.

It's a nice little place in a dying town. Just pull off of the Interstate and you'll see the store on Highway 1. It's by far the best chicken I've ever had, and the coleslaw is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! If you stop by, make sure to pick up their number, since they do accept call ahead orders.
