Ok..so we went to Benton in search of another restaurant but they were closed. On the advice of a local we came here. Should have known that when I'm Cajun country. .eat Cajun! The decor on the outside almost had us turning around but there were cars and well..we were hungry. It is run down but clean and warm. The booth had rips and table wobbled. A young attendant brought out salsa in a jar and chips and 2 bowls. We inquired about queso as it wasn't listed as an appetizer but a side. Another server came to take our order and I had overheard someone ask about special salsa so I asked for it and was warned it was hot..bring it on! Warning : don't order the queso. .it is melted velvetta and nothing else. No other spices tomatoes or even rotell. I ordered the beef burrito. I had read the description and they left some things out. The beef to bean (canned ) ratio was 80:1. ..I sent it back. I will say service is extremely fast..which worried me slightly. From the time we ordered and received our food was approximately 3 minutes. The special sauce was ok..the heat built upon itself and the main ingredient was Tabasco. .not necessarily what I consider a normal Hispanic salsa ingredient but when on Rome. ..my husbands chimichanga was bland with more velvetta dumped on top. The rice had no taste. The good qualities were the friendly waiter, the chips and salsa and guacamole tasted fresh though overloaded with onion. Overall customers seemed happy and besides dairy queen was the only other restaurant on benton. We won't be back as the prices are extremely high for a meal I could have made at home myself alot better at half the cost. We ended up grabbing a burger from dairy queen.
