Nice place, outside dinning is good and servers are very friendly. The food is plenty and a good value
Great food & service! Every time I visit the margaritas are strong, and staff is on top of things. The homemade hot salsa is also great, but you got to request it from the server in order to get. I definitely recommend this place.
If you like Chicken, rice and queso then you must try the Beto Special (used to be called the huego special) it is a HUGE plate of deliciousness. It is served with three tortillas that you fill but of course you can ask for more tortillas. The portion is so large you can definitely split it. The entree is $8.99 and worth every penny. El Toro is also great spot for happy hour. I mean what about chips and salsa with a jumbo margarita doesn't make you happy?

Raymond and Louisa sold this restaurant a few months ago and now the new owners are clueless and don't seem to know what they're doing. They buy obviously cheap ingredients and you can really taste the bad difference in quality. The prices are still high but they're are using super cheap meats and spices- anything to cut corners and make more money. They don't know what they're doing and they're running the place into the ground. This place is no longer the Raymond's everyone grew to love.
The owner Raymond came by to see how our dinner was. I told him it was great. It's so nice of him to visit us. He even sat down and talked to us for a while. I really respect that and appreciated it. So onto dinner, I had dinner with my sister and friend of mine Steve. We first order the hot and sour soup. I'm usually not a fan of that soup, but i tried it anyway, it was AWESOME!!! Onto the main course I order the beef Thai curry hot Pot. That was superior flavor was really good. My sister order the chow fun, she said it was ok. Steve order lemon chicken. Steve really liked it. The main reason I gave 4 star was the owner taking the time with us. I will defiantly be back.
So, I went visit KY again for the July 4th weekend. Of course I came here again for the food that I have been missing since last time. It was quiet and nice. One thing that strike me most of how the owners (Louisa and Raymond) and staff go out of their way to help the customer. There was a old couple and the gentleman needed help getting to his table and getting out. The owners and the staff just jumped in and moved the tables and chairs and guided that gentleman to sit down; and again with 2 people helping them leaving the restaurant and assisting him to get on his van. Maybe people in KY are more friendly, but who does that? I can see why they have a lot of customers who are older. They are are really nice to their customers, old and young. The kids were having fun and getting personal attention from the owners, and the older ones get a friendly chat with Raymond or Louisa. And yes, people knows the owner by name and vice versa. It really was like dining in a friend's kitchen for some. I guess they define what it meant as a family restaurant. I got my favourite Crab Rangoon. Yes, it is American Chinese, but they are GOOD. The proportion of the wonton wrap and the cream cheese is perfect. They look cute too. I had the steamed Chilean Seabass with ginger and scallion. It is pricey if you compare to cheap take out Chinese restaurant or Chinese buffet, but where can you get a good seabass for 23 dollars? It was tender and flavorful. Most importantly, it was not overcooked!

The service wasn't standout but that's neither good nor bad. The food was what you'd expect from Gold Star and was well prepared. The parking lot was crowded, but it was the lunch hour. The only negative is, if you're going to use the drive through, you have to drive all the way around the building (unless you go in the "exit" side of the parking lot).

This place has a bit of charm, in a smoky, southern way...what do you expect? This is a local, family restaurant in Kentucky of all places...you dont go in expecting filet mignon (although there is a great butcher shop next door). Anyways, it's decent, coffee is pretty good, breakfast will fill you up, and only recommendation against it is not to go on Sunday because I think about half the town eats there after morning Church services.
We don't go to Family's very often but when we do I'm always happy when we leave. Family's is cash only, small, and has a very country family meal feel. The walls are covered in a ton of pictures of drag racing cars, people riding horses, and people showing animals at the fair; it reminds me of home haha. Everyone knows everyone and the food is delicious. This morning I had two fried eggs over medium with home fries and bacon. The kids like cheese on scrambled eggs, which isn't on the menu but they made it anyway. The waitresses are all so sweet, Heidi was our waitress this morning and she did a great job. We had a great breakfast as we always do at Family's.
Cash only. It has an older diner feel. Sat there for quite a bit before getting waited on. Server was friendly enough and even made a suggestion to try the fresh made cole slaw. While waiting, another lady was shuffling around in her shoes, slamming dishes in the busser station, where we unknowingly sat. Made my headache even more pronounced. at one point She aggressively reached across the table to get my boyfriends glass to fill with water. I thought she was going to jump on the table. Sorta cracked me up. The burger was surprisingly thick. The cole slaw was really good. The price was reasonable. We were just told by a friend to try their biscuits and gravy next time. So we'll have to go back and review on their breakfast.

Went to McDonalds to get my nice crisp Diet Coke and a regular Coke for $1.00 and was highly disappointed. Not only were they not a dollar because it is a "privately owned" mcdonalds, but the drinks were watery and not crisp or refreshing at all. Just ugh about the experience.

I love McDonalds! I always go to this one because it is near my house. The breakfast is always hot and fresh! I love to get burgers for lunch or dinner but lately they are sooooo cold. I tried the new 1/3 pounder yesterday for lunch and I was really excited to get the lettuce and tomato one. It was so dry and cold, as well. The burger was cold and extremely dry. It seemed like it was leftover from the previous evening. I so wanted to try this burger because I enjoy the basics. Well what a let down and a wast of money. The fries were way hotter than the burger. So I just ate the yummy fries and drank my delicious sweet tea 2 stars for the 1/3 pounder.....3 stars for sometimes getting a luke warm burger.
Stopped here on my way to Nashville from Columbus. The parking lot was dirty with tons of cigarettes. Inside the bathrooms were dirty, condiment station had ketchup everywhere. The ice machine trays were stacking up unused ice. The staff was kind/courteous and the food was hot and came out promptly. If this location was updated just a bit I believe these problems would take care of themselves
I stopped by for breakfast on 2/15/14. There were two lines open, but one of the cashiers was busy filling orders most of the time, while the other cashier was busy taking orders. This didn't make the line go any faster. I watched my order sit in a staging area (not in a warming rack) for 5 minutes while waiting for it to be picked up. It was cold when I finally received it. (i didn't want to complain... half my party had already received their meal and I didn't want to wait for a new, hot meal.) The restaurant was cold.
