The better of the area Mexican options. Friendly staff. Good food. Decent salsa. No complaints. I had the Burrito Carne Asada and enjoyed it thoroughly. When I am back in Town again I will definitely be back for dinner.

The stars that this place earned from me were for good service and cleanliness. This was the worst food I have had in awhile. The food had no flavor at all. We ordered two margaritas and they had no affect on either of us. For close to 40 dollar bill for two people (2 Margaritas and 2 meals), I would suggest taking your money somewhere else.

When I walked in I was surprised, and disappointed, to find that smoking was allowed. Had I known that I wouldn't have selected this place. But since I was there I decided to stay. First I want to say something positive, which is that the people were very nice and the place seemed clean. But as for the food, the quacamole was too thin/watery and lacked flavor, the meat in the steak fajita was very chewy...probably the cheapest cut of meat they could find, and the salsa tasted like canned tomatoe sauce.

I usually love El Nopal. However, this one is the worst I have ever been to. it had a creepy atmosphere and the food tasted bad. I had a stomach ache after eating there. Thought it was just me, but my party of 4 had same response.

It's a nicely decorated restaurant in a strip mall. My son and I went on a Friday night, and to our pleasant surprise there was a white kid playing acoustic guitar and singing (pretty damn good local talent - Trevor I believe). There was a non-smoking section and a smoking section, and as a non-smoker I didn't notice any odors. The place had a good crowd, and our food took a good 20 minutes after ordering, which is slow for Mexican food. Ordered Burritos Mexicanos and Burrito Carne Asada. Both were solid tasting. Nicely priced at $10.99 a meal

Being a regular here I have to say this place is delicious. Its a small, but quaint restaurant. We always visit around lunch and get the same waiter who takes excellent care of us, and is super polite. They have cheap lunch specials and huge draft beers. Our food always comes out quick and hot. If you ever find yourself in Shepherdsville with a craving for Mexican, check this place out!

This was a quick lunch stop. Originally was heading to another near by Mexican place. Ordered the lunch Carne Azada Burrito, outstanding! Gigantic portions and great flavor. A dinner sized meal and drink for less than $10! If your in the area stop by you can't go wrong.

Have been frequenting this restaurant for over 5 years. Nothing very impressive about this place, yet the consistent service and fair price of food and drink are what keep me coming back. As of late, they've been having live music played by locals (mostly covers, but they have rocked). Highly recommend the chicken flautas!

Alright... the service was good. The drink specials are awesome but the food is ok. It kind of tastes like most of the stuff is from a can. The price was good though and like I said, the drink specials can't be beat.
