I am a regular customer of this pizza place, but it has so much more than just pizza! To let you know how much my husband and I like Pagliai's, we order from them by phone every Sunday evening (with the exception of church dinner nights which happen every now and then). Our order is always correct and they even recognize my voice now when I call! Anyway, I also eat there sometimes for lunch and sometimes for supper on other nights and the food is always consistent. Some people in town think their prices are a little high, but it is one of the nicest, sit-down restaurants in town and I have paid much more for less food in other restaurants out of town. Mike, the owner, and his family do a lot for our community, so that's another star in my eyes.

Its funny, but this is my favorite pizza restaurant in the world, probably because my kids have grown up eating here. We have always stopped here going to and from the lake, and we have never had a bad experience or poor food. The old place by the old WalMart was a dump, with naugahyde booths and a green TV, but the food was amazing, and the workers have always been so kind and helpful, even with toddlers throwing crackers on the floor. The "new" place has actually been open for years, and has a very tastefully decorated interior reminiscent of an Italian villa. If you have a big crowd, there are separate rooms and they always accomodate you quickly here. As soon as you walk in the door, to the right you see the kids rolling the dough and tossing the crust. The "kids" are the local teenagers that are always so clean, good-looking and hard-working. I have never had bad service here, and I just dont know how Mike and Jerry motivate and train these young people-they are just all very good servers and chefs. I actually look forward to seeing which pretty young girl will serve us-and I like pretty girls, so sue me. Anyway, the double crust pepperoni is the best New York style pizza you will eat ANYWHERE. The sausage and mushroom double crust is my second favorite, my middle son wont eat anything else. The chef salad is cool and crisp, and great to share. The deep dish is huge, and takes about a half hour to prepare. The spaghetti is also very good. The food is obviously prepared very well. Excellent value, great food, wonderful service. Thanks to everyone who has ever worked here, I have enjoyed every bite.

I'm from the Chicago area, and I love pizza! I had pizza for lunch today from Pagliais, and I believe it was the best i have ever had. It was a thin crust house special. The crust was crispy, with just a hint of yeast on the tongue. Each of the ingredients were extremely fresh, and you could detect each individual flavor. The pepperoni was perfectly prepared. The pepper pieces were crisp, the sausage was firm and garlicy, made in house. The mushrooms were still firm and you could taste each one. The sauce was the best part as far as I was concerned. It was spicey, but not firey hot. My tongue and the inside of my lips were just tingly. Overall this was the best pizza I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I'm still a little full.....can I have another piece please? I'm going to miss this pizza when I get back home.

Be pizza I have ever had anywhere! I love this place. Goat cheese dip is so good and we had the Carmel chocolate cake and loved it too!

I swear this is probably the best pizza place I've ever eaten in Kentucky. The atmosphere is great and the food is wonderful. Another plus is that they do have seating for larger parties in the back. We've been here as a family and also as a large church group. That's a huge plus to us. It does get very busy during rush hours so be prepared to wait a few minutes.

My favorite pizza anywhere. I travel about 120 nights a year to all the big cities and I've never had a better pizza, with Filippis in San Diego and Pie in New Orleans next on my list. Deep dish rocks. Much better than Chicago ( Gino's, giordanos, Lou malnottis). The crust is crispy yet doughy, sauce is simple and the cheese is the best. Toppings always fresh.

Pagliai's is one of the few places where I can get anchovies on a pizza. More importantly, it is one of the few places I can get anchovies on a pizza stacked high with cheese. Critically, it's about as close to Chicago pizza as you can come without going to Chicago. Unfortunately, I don't go here all that much, because it is "pricey". It's hard to justify spending more on a smaller pizza--especially because pizza is one of those food commodities that one thinks of as cheap. They've got sandwiches and other stuff, but I don't think any of those things compare to their pizza. Verdict? Awesome pizza, but costly. Hence, three stars.

The ultimate pizza place ! Yes, I'm a local but want travelers to know how great their food is . We usually get the house special deep dish but I also love their veggie Panini and lasagna. I've also eaten several other of the pizza varieties including the thin crust- they're all very good.Their tiramisu is to die for ! It's been a locals' favorite for years and they have ample seating, very friendly staff and are very close to I-69 as well. The price is higher than what you'd pay at Pizza Hut or Dominos, but those places can in no way compare with the Pagliai's.

Great food until I walked out the door and happened to look at the guy making a pizza. No plastic gloves and scars and scabs all over his hands. No joke. Won't be making that trip again.

This is the best thin-crust pizza you can get. Just the right amount of cheese and toppings, great tomato sauce, and everything tastes like top-quality stuff. Very good service, too. My glass of iced tea never reached empty. By the way, it's pronounced "pawlia's" for some reason.
