Good bar with descent selection. Dinners arena little pricey for the quality. Open for lunch now and isn't bad.

My family has eaten here several times and always enjoyed it. This resturant is a great addition to the dining out options around here. I haven't tried anything I haven't liked. The new lobster corn dog is delicious but I prefer the prior method of serving shrimp and grits, with the grits not fried. The decor is great, the service is good and the food is wonderful. What's not to like.

It's good food, a bit expensive and slower service however I'm from Chicago and understand things move slower down here so I suppose it was pretty good. We were also walk ins that were unexpected and they found a place for us quick.

So far the atmosphere is nice and the beer is ice cold ... Ok food just arrived... Portions not all that generous, but the quality and taste are great. Bartender is just friendly enough... Nice experience !

I ate here while on business. It's a nice quaint little spot walking distance from the downtown hotels. This place had an upscale feel while being in a small town, but what came with that was the pretentiousness of the server. He was rude, didn't know specials, and only tried to sell us the filet (most expensive on the menu). My boss and I asked about the size of a full bacon ranch cheese fry appetizer and he drastically down played the size and taste. They were soggy from the ranch and LOADED down with the green onions. 1/5 on the app. I ordered the chipotle tenderloin skewers on sweet potatoes with walnuts. My server asked how I wanted my pork cooked. Ummm, I want it cooked through??? They had a nice maple/brow sugar glaze that was great, but it lacked the chipotle flavor. It was still pretty good. Decent portions. 4/5 My boss got the basil shrimp pasta. It looked like it was going to be great, but after pushing some of the onions aside, it looked as if they forgot the pasta and only used onion. He said every bite was overpowering with red onions. 2/5 Overall, the concept of the place was nice...upscale for out of town businessmen and women, but it failed to meet any hype or deserve the 4 star average. For two meals, an appetizer, and two beers was over $60, which isn't too awful, however, it wasn't worth the money. I have a soft spot for 80s music, but bad 80s ballads non stop on the overhead music was a little too much.

Service slow. You have to order at the bar then they bring your food. Plastic silverware which seems inappropriate for the price of the meals. Staff are not friendly . Food average tasting but my daughter became very ill 6 hours after eating lunch. She hadn't eaten anything else after and we had different lunch entrees however she was violently ill indicative of .....dare I say it Food Poisoning.

Are there tonight in bar area tonight and the waitress really friendly and efficient. Lump crab cake was fresh with dressing on the side. The Goat cheese salad is a sweet dressing on spring salad with a toasted goat cheese ball. The main affair was Bbq burger with bacon . The BBQ HAD grape jelly which makes meat balls out of site works on this burger The only negative was the greasy corn bread served . Need to get something like salt rising bread or crispy crackers Will eat here again

Nice. Very nice. But I can say I expected a lot more from all the 5 star hype. I specifically went there to try the shrimp and grits. First, the delivery looked nothing like in previous images from pas reviews, so it was instantly a fail from that perspective. The portion was miniscule by comparison. Second, deep fried, battered shrimp were not what I expected in this dish at all. Third, the orange colored sauce was a bit too runny and simply non-interesting. The grits were good, thankfully. Overall, and also based on my two colleagues feedback, the steaks were overly salty and might have been a bit overcooked for a medium rare delivery. I'd give it another shot next time, hoping to experience the "best restaurant in eastern Kentucky" as has been mentioned. The service was very good, however.

People seem to like the Blue Raven, but I just don't see it. The place seems confused and unsure about what it is trying to be. The menu changes regularly, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But the tried and true favorites disappear along with the more unique offerings. The food's price isn't terrible but it is more expensive than other offerings in the area (though the aim of the establishment is a bit different than most of the competition) but it isn't unreasonable. The portions tend towards the small side, but are adequate. The atmosphere is great, particularly if you remember the history of the building once holding cars. Though the giant RC Cola sign on the outside has become a bit of a joke amongst my friends. A place aiming to be the most upscale and decorating itself with the image of the bottom of the barrel soft drink is just a bit silly. We go to the Blue Raven when someone else we're dining with picks it. It is not terrible, but I'd honestly rather head to one of the chains in the area. The quality of the food is about the same without the pretentious attempt at class. But if you're looking for "fine dining" this is, without a doubt, the best option in the area.

Passing through town for the evening, I didn't see a lot of eateries on Yelp, but this one had good reviews. The bartender is super nice and tonight's special was shrimp and grits. WOW!! I've had this dish in New Orleans and other places, but this is by far the most flavor-packed version I've had! With goat cheese, sausage and crispy onion straws in the mix, I wasn't ready for the taste explosion! The locals speak well of the menu in general, saying you almost can't go wrong with any dish here. Glad I stopped by. As a traveler, and a foodie, I'm always excited to find great food in the many towns I find myself.

Have eaten here several times and never seen the same menu twice. Some people love it and others think it's so-so. I fall closer to the so-so opinion. Although all the dishes have for the most part been edible, none stick out in my mind as spectacular or bring me back frequently. I agree there is confusion on what type of restaurant it is suppose to be. The wood tables, basic chairs and loud scraping on the floor indicate casual, but prices and menu indicate upscale. If that was more clear and they stayed with it (along with some of the more popular menu items), I would enjoy it and be a more frequent visitor. I go about 4 times a year because others suggest it, but it is never on my regular rotation for dinner options.

Pork chop was wonderful, a spicy blend of flavors along with cornbread stuffing I will be coming back and sharing this with friends and family. Great service and I enjoyed the outdoor seating too.

Best restaurant in Eastern Kentucky and whatever you consider to be second place isn't even close. Beautiful place inside and out (including the food). The complimentary muffins are awesome and I've yet to try anything on the menu that I don't like. Fairly expensive (worth it) but there are cheaper options on the menu.

I was able to go back for dinner over Labor Day weekend, and I have to say, I was impressed. It was a Saturday night, and our server was both efficient and friendly. We ate sort of late, so they were out of a few things, but he let us know right away so we wouldn't be disappointed. We weren't. Our food was EXCELLENT. I even liked the fried green tomatoes, and I don't usually like those at all. The standouts for me were the sweet potato soup, the twice-baked thyme potatoes, and the pork loin stuffed with cornbread dressing and glazed with berry jam. Although I'm originally from Pikeville, I most recently lived in Louisville and currently live in Houston and Tampa (yes, both). This place easily stands up to the best restaurants in or near any of those cities. Great job, guys!

Great find. The ribeye with demi glace was delicious. The filet was cooked rare, like we asked. The staff was great. Friendly and attentive. We wound up eating here 2 out of the 3 nights we were in Pikeville. It was that good.

Just ate there tonight - jan 28 2013, it was great! I did sit at the bar by myself as usual on my business trips. The bartender was friendly and attentive. My food did take a bit as I ordered a medium steak, twice baked potatoes, and amazing asparagus with buffalo chicken soup to start. I ate every bite and it was delicious, I also had a few drinks and a shot at the bar. My total wasn't too bad at 60.00 since I did have the import beers and shot of American honey :) I would go back! A little pricy but worth or for sure, I can't imagine there is any better food in Pikeville

We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our reserved time. We were seated quickly, albeit at a table with no silverware/napkins. I found the restaurant to be clean and furnished with a nice decor. I ordered my usual drink - sweet tea w/ lemon. The drinks were served quickly enough, but the tea was barely sweetened. Had to request some sugar packets, but it's impossible to sweeten tea properly after it's been chilled. After ordering our dinner, we waited about 30 minutes for our food to be served, but I didn't really mind that too much since it was quite crowded and the restaurant had been opened to the public for less than a week. However, an acquaintance at a nearby table indicated he waited 45 minutes before receiving his salad. We were served some very tasty corn muffins while we waited. The meatloaf sandwich and "bucket 'o fries" I ordered were good. I had coffee and key lime cheesecake for dessert. Both were very good, although it was evident that the cheesecake had been frozen as it was not completely thawed. Kudos to our waitress. She was attentive and very friendly. Overall, I found this to be a welcome addition to the dining options in the Pikeville area. It features a diverse menu offering in a clean, pleasant dining environment. The food is moderately priced - about what one would expect for this type of establishment. Although our dining experience included some less-than-perfect aspects, I am cutting these folks some slack as they are just getting started. Best wishes for huge success. I'll be back.

This was a pleasant surprise for Pikeville, however it's way too pricey for this area. The food was tasty and the service was pleasant. It was nice to have this new dining option in the area.
