I stopped in during an epic road trip I was taking and the food did not disappoint. I thought I would face some hostility being the only brown person in the restaurant, but the stereotypes were unwarranted because everyone was friendly. I loved their hot buttered yeast rolls for the appetizer, which I just gobbled up. I had the sirloin lunch special and it was delicious and very inexpensive. I could definitely see myself stopping here again in the future, especially if I was coming to check out the Hatfield-McCoy stuff nearby.

This was a terrible experience. Called at 8:30 to make a reservation for 9. When we arrived they said that there would be approximate 20 minute wait. Wait ended up being one and a half hours. They finally seated us then sat two more tables after ours. Waitress basically ignored us and proceeded to the other two tables seated after they had seated our table. The waitress then said that She would be with us in a moment at least 4 times before she finally took our drink order. We observed that two waitresses were joking and carrying on. Then our waitress was checking someone out in the register as she was having a drink. Ten minutes later and still no drinks. We had to get our own menus and silverware. When she finally came with our drinks we were on the way out the door. I will not make a repeat visit. Appalling.

I went to a large group gathering here. The food is three stars. Nothing bad, nothing good, just average. I don't know how much better one can do in the Pikeville area, it not being exactly metropolitan, but that's beside the point. The service was great, despite there being one waitress for all of us. That made things a little slow at the end, but she got all of our orders right (a first in our gatherings). The extra star is really earned, however, by the rolls. I ate at least 6 of those things and I would have pocketed more but other people had finished the rest. They're warm, soft, slightly crispy on the outside without being burnt, and they just melt in your mouth. So if the food's not so great... see if you can show up and bum some free rolls and th... no, no, don't do that. Eat a meal. You'll be fine.

This is a typical steakhouse. There are peanuts by the bucket on the table. Service is outstanding. Very attentive, helpful, and friendly. I had the ribeye luncheon size with a baked potato. I good value at around $ 10.00. Yeast rolls were also provided and were hot and fresh. Definitely a must if you stop in Pikeville.

I stopped here twice in my short visit to Kentucky. The staff was incredible. I had the southwest chicken. It was juicy and delicious. The beer service was spot on. The menu was American steak house style, but very affordable. Looked like the average dinner was 10-11 bucks. When I'm in this part of Kentucky again. I'm definitely coming back.

Typical peanut shell on the floor steak house. Nothing special and the shrimp was over cooked! Probably won't return.

In town on business and tired after a three hour drive. Had the classic steak - medium rare with potatoes and a house salad. Nothing special here but perhaps the friendly service.

I was starving and the good quick service was just what I needed. Steak and potatoes after driving hit the spot. Not the nicest place I've eaten, average, but when your starving, and you want quality food; stop here. It will fill you up, without having to go thru the drive through.
