The food is OK but the restaurant itself is disgusting! This place needs to be closed for a day and cleaned throughly. The floors are coated in grease and dirt, the tables are dirty, the entire place is just dingy and the reason I avoid this restaurant.

Service was good food was good. Server made a mistake on milkshake order but replaced it with correct one without charging us twice. Manager was good and check ed on us twice. Good food great value!

Not the best visit when it comes to first impressions. We don't have Steak 'n Shake in Nebraska so it was on our "try it!" list. Stopped into this location during a family road trip extravaganza which, due to down pouring rain and thunderstorm conditions, had us way behind schedule. We wanted something quick and cheap so that we could continue our journey. Our friends have always raved about Steak 'n Shake. After leaving this particular location, I am not sure that we got off to the best start, and I don't know if I can give another location an honest try at his point. First and foremost, the food was decent and on par with my expectations based on our friend's descriptions. The double guacamole burger was tasty and the fries, too. The kids meal was fine. Our drinks, though, were never refilled and there was massive confusion between servers and management. Something about who was covering a break. Tables around us were not served promptly, or at all, and a random employee had to be flagged down. Our server never reappeared after bringing out food, so we were unable to try the shakes that we wanted. We just took our ticket to the front and got out of there. Lastly, our table ketchup was almost empty and our server took the bottle for a refill, but it never came back to the table! One of the parties next to us graciously handed over their ketchup bottle. Thankfully they were just about done eating. The other major disappointment was the lack of cleanliness throughout and the disheveled appearance of some staff. The tables and chairs were clean, but some parts of the floor were so greasy that my feet were sliding as I walked. The aforementioned ketchup bottles would have slid out of my hand if I had a poor grip. The restroom was disgusting in that the soap dispensers were empty, the floor was greasy, trash overflowing, and there was only one functioning toilet. Because of these issues, I am over Steak 'n Shake and I will need the cleanest location with the very best servers in order for us to even think about a second visit. So sad, because I wanted to love it after hearing about it for so long...

I should start by saying that I LOVE Steak 'N Shake. I wish I could say the same about THIS particular location. The service is terrible. Expect LONG waits to be seated, to have your order taken, to receive your food, to get drink refills. Expect to receive the wrong order. Even if your order is SIMPLE...it is very likely they'll get it wrong. Expect to be charged incorrectly. When you bring this to their attention, expect them to ask you... "Ummm...What would you like me to do about it?"

Snoring drunk beside us passed out, burnt food, bad service, fries tasted like they were a week old. No words. Will NOT go back! We were 2 of 5 people in there and took an hour!!! Thank goodness it was a cheap lunch. I would rather have given this place NO stars!

Didn't even make it long enough to eat because no one acknowledged my bf and I were here and after waiting for 15 minutes we just walked out and no one even knew we left. Servers were just hanging out and several walked by us,including the server who originally sat us, while we waited to be acknowledged

Amazing burger and shake!! Decided to stop while traveling, so I was only dissapointed that it took longer to get served than I expected. Not quite a fast food joint like I thought.

This place has really gone downhill in a hurry. Waitresses seem too busy talking to each other to do their jobs. The food quality has gone down and the prices are going up. My burger was undercooked and my wife's was nearly burnt to a crisp. The fries tasted like pure grease and were cold when they (finally) got to the table. Oh, and the floors looked and felt like they haven't been cleaned since this place was built. If you want a drink refill, you're better off getting it yourself than waiting for your waitress. The management either doesn't notice or simply doesn't care that their customers are unhappy when they leave. An hour or more to eat at a "fast-food" joint when they aren't that busy is only made worse by the 10 minute wait to get someone to actually take your money so you can get out of there. It's a shame because Steak-n-Shake used to be one of our go-to places, but this visit probably took it completely out of our rotation.

I order breakfast from here 4-5 times a week, I get the breakfast tacos potato and egg so it's not to hard to mess them up. My food is generally decent I do like it is the cheapest made fresh breakfast close to my work and it doesn't hurt my stomach like fast food breakfast. Now saying that I'm giving them a 2 bc of slow like a snail service I live 20 minutes away and call my order before I leave my house and regardless if they are busy or not it is most of the time not even finished when I get there. With the exclusion of like 2 ppl most of the employees are rude and unhelpful. Most days their phone is busy for like 10 minutes plus and I'm giving the excuse its the DM calling I don't if that's true or not. I don't care for any of their other food bc I can have grease on a plate at home for a lot less money.

Sigh. LOVE steak and shake, but this particular one needs new management. Slow, unorganized, and very dirty. Had an HOUR to sit there before I needed to leave for an appointment. I ordered immediately when she came for drink order and told her I was in a rush (not that you shouldn't be able to get through steak and shake in an HOUR). I ended up leaving without eating and when I told her I had to leave, she just said, "oh....ok." Tried again a few weeks later and had a better experience, but still not great.

On a family road trip we stopped through Paducah and wanted Steak n Shake, I ordered the Frisco Melt and the bread was not cooked at all. it was so gross. the other cheese burger we ordered was burnt to a crisp too. I can't say I've ever had an uncooked Frisco Melt, it was not good. I wish we would have picked another place to stop for lunch.

The food is ok, but the service is awful. The last three times we've been the service is slow and indifferent. No refills on drinks, (a member in our group had to get up and get her own drink.) several messed up orders, and an indifferent server made for a less than stellar experience.
