Overall experience was average. Service was okay. Menu had a decent variety. Food was decent, but lacked any bold flavors.

Started with the very large and yummy breaded mushrooms with a mild horseradish sauce. Then had prime rib that was cooked medium rare as I ordered with good flavor. My husband's bbq ribs were tender and slightly Smokey with a dry rub base. Ended with the very decadent honey buttered croissants!. Amazing!

First off, the service was wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive. The main problem was my 12 oz Ribeye. I ordered it with the cajun butter and it has absolutely no flavor to it. If you order something with cajun in the name you expect some spice, this had none.

On the way back home from Nashville I was craving lunch outside of Paducah and started looking for options. While many options were available I really didn't want to go too far off the highway so Rafferty's made perfect sense. I arrived shortly before the Sunday church rush to discover that Rafferty's is your typical neighborhood bar and grill, very similar to Applebee's. There is a large bar, along with more casual seating there are multiple TVs all across the restraint, so it seems that this would be a perfect place to catch up on the days sports while enjoying a meal or a drink. As far as food I went with the Kona Chicken, which was a grilled chicken breast topped with ham, cheese and a grilled pineapple slice. The food was good, but nothing great. I also had a side of garlic mashed potatoes which were pretty good. Overall a decent meal, from a typical neighborhood sports bar & grill. I am sure this place is popular with the locals, because shortly after my arrival the crowds started to show up. The service was good and prices were fair, overall it was a good experience.

Service was outstanding! My steak had a hickory smoke flavor to it that I didn't really care for, but if you like hickory smoked you will love it. The mashed potatoes were amazing and my husbands fish was great! Overall fantastic experience! Will definitely go back!

I've got to say that Raffertys "gets it". Good food, good value, good service, and love watching games there because you have your own speaker/remote for your table. Very well thought out. I appreciate being able to order lunch specials on Sunday!

An unexpected pleasure. Our first visit to a Rafferty's. As soon as we walked in the door, we liked what we saw - a friendly welcome, a comfortable ambiance, and plenty of good food around. The menu is appealing and our meal was delicious. I had ribs, my wife had a chicken dish. A good meal in a relaxing environment.

Excellent food. On our way back to Colorado. Never heard of this chain before. Both BBQ places recommended were closed so took a chance. Had the 2 for $12 rib/BBQ Chicken special. Wife had the pork chops. After lots of sharing we had a feast. The they bout out thes warm wonderful croissants drizzled in honey butter. OMG I think I died. Service was crisp, efficient, friendly. Highly recommend..

After a disappointing lunch, and just before we hit the road for the final 6 hours home (10/24/2008), we ordered some carry-out from Rafferty's which was right next to the hotel we were camped out in. Thankfully Rafferty's left a much better taste in our mouth and has already earned a recommendation from us to Mom and Dad as they make their drives back and forth from Florida. We had some wings with their chipotle BBQ sauce and they were good. Just the right amount of zing without being killer. The Good Ole Boy Cheese Fries were not only HUGE but filling and loaded with cheeses and bacon. The spicy ranch dressing it came with also was pretty darn good. For main meals, MK ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant & Soup combo and ordered the "Famous Potato Soup". The chicken salad had grapes and nuts in it and MK really enjoyed it. The potato soup was phenominal as well and she was full and pleased. I ordered the Backyard BBQ burger which comes with smoked cheddar, bbq sauce and smoked bacon. I asked for it Medium Rare and it actually CAME that way which is top quality when I ask for burgers. It comes with a massive order of side fries, which, after the appetizer, was totally neglected by me (sorry for the waste of food it was unintentional). The appy's are a little pricey, but the quality stands up to the price. If we hadn't ordered the starters, we probably would have had a lower bill, but alas, we were out of towners. The manager took care of me when I picked up the order and he was a really nice guy, asked where I was from and seemed genuinely honest and sincere about it. They just started delivering to the Holiday Inn Express there and I hope they continue to do good business. One would quickly group this place with those of Chili's, TGIF's, etc but I think the care and quality of the food we got as carry-out speaks volumes as to how they service and food would be if we sat down in the store.

Rafferty's is a great spot for food and friends! The food is always fresh and they have some of the best prime rib in the area. Service sometimes lacks but this is the case in most restaurants. I love the hot chicken strips and the burgers are amazing for the price.

I used to like going here but the last few times I've went the service has been horrible! The last time we went was during a slow part of the day but there were hardly any waiters around. Granted, the place was almost empty but there were only one or two that we saw. Our food took forever to get to our table. All we ordered was soup and salad. Our drinks were never refilled either. When our food finally did come the waiter just slammed it on the table and walked off. We had to flag down another waiter for our check and he told us our waiter from before was outside on his cell phone the whole time. I understand how this restaurant has a different service setup than most that that all waiters work as a team but this has happened to us a few times before. We won't be returning anytime soon.

A little better than an Applebee's. First time, I would have given this 5 stars. It was tasty, fresh, and had fantastic servers. Second time, my son had someone throw toilet paper over the stall and hit him with it (ewwww). We told the manager and they gave us a passing "sorry." I will probably try again at some time......

The food and service was great. We normally don't eat at chain restaurants, but we were tired when we got to Paducah and Rafferty's was next to the hotel. We liked it so much we broke another custom and ate here both nights of our stay. The pork chop was great, and their potato soup was very satisfying. The house salad was very good. Portions weren't super sized which a pleasant surprise.

It was okay. I had the potato soup which was fine. I also had the bluegrass chicken sandwich. I didn't taste any BBQ sauce. The chicken was really dry. The bun was good. All around just meh experience.

Mom and I stopped in here for Dinner on our travels. Alex was server and he was awesome. He was genuinely attentive and served us above and beyond our expectations. Food was great and affordable. The Night Manager stopped by to check on our service and food. I can count on one finger the time this has happened to me during my 50 plus years of eating out. The entire staff was casually and without be over bearing or hovering stopped by to fill our glasses or remove dishes as well as ask if we required anything else. I would encourage you to stop by and enjoy the food and the exceptional service. Linda H
