To be fair, for Maysville standards, this is probably closer to a 3 star. Waitresses are friendly. Food is very average. It's served warm and appears to be fresh. It's obvious that everything starts out frozen- absolutely nothing is made from scratch. Most dishes lack seasoning. It takes a long time for food to arrive even though the restaurant is rarely busy. Building itself is in desperate need of updating as it looks very dated and as of it's going downhill. Our biggest gripe this time was that the waitress spilled one full tray of our food (it took 2 trays for our party of 7) and although she was clearly rattled by it and did apologize (we totally understood accidents happen- no big deal!), there was no mention of comping part of our bills, making it right, etc. Even though it took the second half of our party nearly an hour to receive our food and they had to eat alone as the first half had already long since finished. A manager should've come by to apologize and to make it right. Definitely changed our opinion of the professionalism of this establishment.

I was in Maysville on business when I stopped for drinks & dinner. I found the experience pleasant. 1st, after a long day, I ordered a dry vodka martini at the bar & watched the bartender make it, correctly. I was offered a menu & asked for recommendations. He didn't like mushrooms but told me the stuffed mushroom appetizer was very popular so I tried that, it was the best variation of this dish I've ever had. I was confused at when it arrived because it looked like French onion soup, with a layer of melted cheese covering the mushrooms, however, once I pierced the cheese with my fork & ate the 1st mushroom, I instantly regretted not getting a large portion; if you like this dish, you will love the way the do it here. I then had a cream of cauliflower soup that was very fresh and tasty. My entree, the catfish, was a bit over salted (I would cut the salt in the cornmeal batter by 25-30%). Still, it was fresh & cooked perfectly. This is a somewhat informal place, like many in rural Kentucky. The staff does cut up a bit & the bar tender was having issues with his manager who, although nice, could use some pointers on leadership & service...stepped in to get me a draft beer, started the pour, the disappeared, & seemed to get in the way more than help my server/bartender who was obviously a veteran that handled his customers at the bar & a few tables with ease. I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion. I will be back!

Stopped in on a long night drive over snow covered roads when pretty much anything edible would have sufficed and found this establishment rather a pleasant surprise. Staff very polite and attentive, but not overly so. My colleague had pasta primavera which looked great but she rated as average. I ate prime rib, which was way more cooked than I like, but the server told me medium is as low as they are permitted to go. Salad was excellent, as were the sides of fries and stir fried veg. Coffee was fresh and tasty.

Ate there with the family & I thought it was just okay. No one really loved anything they ate. But, I enjoyed the drive there & we took pictures on a covered bridge. So, not a total waste

Never had a bad meal here. Kentucky Burger is a must!

This is a favorite in my hometown of Maysville. Although it is a little pricey, the food is great! I always get the coconut chicken and it is a heavenly experience! In addition to the chicken, the cheese rolls are a guilty pleasure. If you want to eat here it's best to make a reservation ahead of time because it's always busy!

Wow. That was bad. Six different people, six different meals. The best part of the meal was the onion rings, and we got ribeyes, prime rib, pork chops... All dry and chewy and leathery and tasteless. I sure hope this is not the best this town has to offer. At least the half-price bottles of wine were good. Wednesday's only.

Visiting the Maysville, KY area and ate at this restaurant twice. The food was very good and although during my second visit the waitress was slow the service was really good from the seating to management coming by to check on our party. I had the turkey club sandwich (1st visit) and the taco salad (2nd visit) and have to say I enjoyed both of them. My absolute favorite was the sweet potato cheesecake which I got during both visits. It was a fave!!! ***** As all restaurants in Maysville I didn't give this restaurant 5 stars because of the smoking environment. It seems to be the norm but I wish the non-smokers didn't have to get slapped with the smell as soon as they enter the restaurant. I would recommend this place to/for everyone.

The bread was very good. The service was also good. However, the fried green tomatoes tasted like dill pickles. The fish sandwich and dinner had no flavor. The shrimp was over cooked. Our second time eating here, and a disappointment this time.

I would advise getting the appetizer sampler if you are hungry but want a taste of everything. I usually get this with my two sisters and we all split it! It's delicious and a good deal. The only downside is I had to wait for a long time to get seated so I would advise making reservations.

Maysville deshas has been a favorite of mine for almost three decades. The portions are beyond generous (order chicken parm for proof) and the service is always top notch. The cornbread is a must have. If you are a non-smoker, I recomend sitting far from the bar as they allow smoking there, although it's rarely overwhelming.

To rate this the same as Sonic reflects poorly on the legitimacy of this site. I've eaten here for 30 years and I have to say its in the top three places to eat around this area. Never have had what I consider to be a bad meal.

Just so-so. My salmon over rice looked nice, but was bland. Needed a glaze or some sauce to liven it up. The rice had slivers carrots which added some color. The baked potato was piping hot, but a little stingy with the sour cream and butter. Her fish and chips were tasteless - the breading had no flavor, while the whitefish inside was edible. The cold french fries were reminiscent of Ore-Ida and cold and greasy. I must say the ice water and iced tea were delicious. Oh, the side dish of corn pudding was just like Grandma's and tasty, but a small portion. Next time if you want fish, there's a Long John Silver next door. Friendly waitress, clean, attractive, but missed the mark.
