Vegetarian friendly! (even tho they don't advertise it.) I travel often. One thing that's hard to find in Rural KY, is Good Food Restaurants. As a food snob, I declare this spot "Very good." really good green salads of the non-iceberg kind! good prices. I had the pulled chicken wrap with the cole slaw in it. damn good! good quality. good deserts! the down sides. the parking in the area is a little odd. but don't let it fool you. I came in for late lunch. it took them several minutes to discover me sitting there. I almost left. (they must not be used to having customers for late lunch.) I hope to eat at Chandlers again some day.

It really is vegetarian friendly as someone before me wrote. I ate here before prom since I had more of a variety of food to select from than almost anywhere else in the area. The service was average in terms of speed but this was compensated by the friendliness of (most of) the staff. Definitely a place to try out if you're new to or visiting the area.

Visited Chandler's on a rainy Saturday afternoon with several tables of kids dressed up apparently for prom. We wondered if that would account for overhearing the server tell another customer they were out of a number of menu items. The ambience is 5-star, obviously designed by someone with knowledge of the restaurant business and excellent taste for visuals and comfort. Our tomato soup was excellent. The chef salad we shared was good, and the Reuben we shared was fine, although the bread was slightly burned. There was a slight glitch with our order, but nothing that really inconvenienced us. We drank water, had plenty of food for lunchtime, and the check with tip came to $30--reasonable for the size and quality of the portions.

This was are first time here. The food was great everything was cooked to order and was served in a timely manner even though they were packed. And for a small town restaurant when the chef comes out to talk to everyone that speaks volumes. It is a definite must go. Top 5 steaks in the Tri-State. We can't wait to go back and will not fail to brag about the food the service and the overall experience we had

Very nice little place. The staff was very nice as well, however there was some kind of mix up in the kitchen causing my meal to go to the wrong table. The rest of my party had completed their meal before mine even came out. I had the pork chop which was excellent once I finally got it.

"Liars, Cheats and Thieves" Ate at this restaurant for the first time on a September Saturday afternoon. I choose this restaurant due to their participation with the Restaurant.com program. Upon presenting our bill tp is our waitress said our Restaurant.com certificate had expired. (Liar) I told her they never expire. Waitress began to call the validation line from table side. I pointed to the area on the certificate where it says they never expire. She hung up and said "well they confirmed the certificate." She then immediately said "but you have to spend $22.50 before tax and you only spent $22.45. Our owner Chan will not allow any exceptions." I stated you are going to not allow my certificate over a nickel? (Cheat) I then said I will purchase the cheapest thing on the menu. I had to purchase a $2.50 soft drink. I paid with a $20.00 bill. The charge was now $11.00. The waitress stated she only had $6.00 pulling money out of her pocket and showing me to provide me for the $9.00 owed in change. i was so frazzled by this point that I couldn't think clearly. The waitress suggested that I could consider the other $3.00 as her tip. (Thief) What a trick. I left Chandlers on Market feeling raped. They lost any possibility for my ever returning or having any positive word of mouth comments about this establishment.

Good food. Service was ok. Our order seemed to have gotten lost in translation. We never received our onion petals but the sandwiches were awesome.

Surprisingly delicious. Veggie wrap was fantastic! Fries had great flavor. Waitress was helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend, esp give the limited options in the area.

We eat here often and have never been disappointed. The mango vinaigrette is awesome, oysters on caesar love, Salmon prepared perfectly, steaks also well seasoned . The homemade sides have always been great. I always get the shrimp cocktail or fried calamari both great. Whether you have a reservation or not--they will always seat you. Love Chandler's! Also had our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was a big hit!

Great Restaurant! Menu was creative, service was excellent and timely, not harassing. I had a natural (grass fed beef) steak and it was wonderful. The Mango chardonnay dressing for the salad was great and the asparagus was grilled to perfection. All in all an excellent dining experience. Went there on a Wednesday evening and the place was not full, but well controlled. the dinner and the experience was enjoyable.

I have been to steak houses all across this country and the natural ribeye at Chandlers rates among the top 5. Could have cut with a fork. The wife had the grillwd halibut. She said it was the closest to Soutth Louisiana taste she has had since she moved to Ohio. Make surw ti make a reservation and expect a greeting by the owner Chandler.

It's a nice restaurant in downtown Maysville, KY. Food is good and reasonably priced. Must try if you're from out of State n in the area.

We stopped by after our final stop on the Bourbon Trail, which for us was Old Pogue. First of all you should know that Maysville is really cute, if you're reading this whilst planning a trip to the area I highly recommend giving this little town a look-see. Anyway, back to Chandler's, it was pretty quiet because we went in for a late lunch, but the bar tender/waiter was very pleasant and promptly bought us a few menus. I had a Cobb Salad (around $9) which was a good size and exactly what I'd been hankering for, my husband had a Reuben with sweet potato fries (around $9). Both dishes were good for the price and coupled with the friendly service and cute setting I'd recommend this to anyone in the area. They have a full bar and reasonably priced drinks. Tip: if you walk in when it's a bit quiet like we did, the waiter may be having his lunch in the back, just pop to the back of the dining room and tap of the kitchen door, if he's in there he wouldn't have heard you come in. He'll happily come out and get you sorted out. One note though, they didn't seem to have a huge selection of bourbon or beer, which if you're on the bourbon trail might come as a bit of a shock to the system, but then again if you're in the area for that purpose you have plenty of opportunities to get your bourbon quota in elsewhere (after you've had lunch here).

A real find. Ambiance was very good and paleo friendly. They had quality natural beef on menu, a little pricey but well worth it, and baked sweet potato. My son had the sweet potato tots. They were very good as well. Overall very satisfied with the dinner.

Went for a light dinner on a Wednesday night. Atmosphere is nice. Old wood paneling and trim, nice wooden chairs, soft lighting, jazz playing in the background. Decided to order sandwiches. Chicken sandwich and Philly sub. Unfortunately both were unremarkable. Chicken was dry. No seasoning. Philly was standard fare. Arby's has better. In my opinion any Philly should be served with Au Jus. Prices for sandwiches with natural fries and pickle slice were reasonable. Chicken was $8 and Philly was $9. Bottle American beer was $2.50. Pepsi was $2.25 with $.25 refills (at a cost of a nickle a glass this seems over the top to me). Wine list starts at $6 a glass. Nothing great for those prices nor more expensive choices. The table next to us ordered the Ribeye steak. It was 1/2" thick and served with new potatoes the size of marbles. Glad I didn't spend $18 for an entree. Wait staff was overwhelmed with moderate crowd for a Wednesday. Only 2 working the floor and our waitress wasn't great at keeping on top of things. Waited for the check to find that she spent 10 minutes ringing up all 9 of her tables at once even though we came in at different times and were in different stages of leaving. It's my opinion that Maysvillian's can be suckered into overpaying if the atmosphere is remotely attractive (think de Sha's). I won't return unless it is just for drinks.

Visited Chandler's while working in Maysville, KY two days in a row and enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. My first visit I had the shrimp & corn chowder and fish sandwich with white fish but the Swiss cheese could've been eliminated. My second visit I tried the sweet potato tator tots which were different and delightful and I tried the Brunch Burger because I love a burger with a fried egg and I like to try different things. Unfortunately the burger left much to be desired because nothing on it had flavor but I added mustard and it was pretty good. Overall the restaurant received 5 stars because I liked the nice, cozy atmosphere with friendly service and good good.

Went here for lunch during the week. I got the salad and soup combo with the gumbo soup of the day. Gumbo had good texture and nice heat, side salad only had tomatoes and cucumbers, wish it had come with cheese. Service was overall ok, but a little slow. Price for what I got was quite cheap though, and is definitely somewhere I would go back to given the selection in the area.

So NOT impressed with this place simply because the service was horrendous! When we walked into the quaint little cafe-style restaurant, we were told to sit anywhere we like. After sitting for 10 minutes, we managed to flag someone down to put in our drink order. We were told that someone would return to get our food order. Fifteen mins later (long enough to finish our drinks), we were still waiting for someone to wait on us. It was lunch time, not too terribly busy and there were at least 4 staff members who walked by our table numerous times. Hubby was in a hurry to get back to work so we finally just laid enough money on the table to cover our drinks and left. The menu looked appetizing. Too bad we didn't get to try anything.

One word: delicious. Well worth the drive from the lexington area just for their burgers. I ordered the 3 mini burgers on the lunch menu for me and the kids burger for my daughter. The patty has so much flavor that I ate it dry. It was too delicious to mess up. The fries are good old fashioned greasy fries. Everything was great. Service was excellent. Ambiance was perfect. You won't be disappointed in chandlers!

Very impressed by this nice restaurant we stumbled across while taking a day trip! Chandlers is nestled in a very cute area of Maysville, KY... think brick roads and gorgeous fountains right near the banks of the Ohio River. The staff here welcomed us right away with their hospitality. The place has a slightly upscale feel, but still makes you feel relaxed. Whether you're looking for a quaint table for two, or a large group, Chandler's can accommodate! After receiving our drinks, our waitress brought out some of the best dinner rolls i've ever had. The menu has many great options from apps, to hearty meals, to a nice sandwich. They also have a hearty selection of daily specials! I chose the daily special of pot roast, while the bf ordered the KY hot brown (something i'd never heard of before!). My meal was sensational. The roast was perfect and tender along with its companion carrots and onions. It came with a side of truly home made mashed potatoes and gravy which were to die for. I chose my additional side to be that day's special of broccoli casserole, which again, was the best ive had (and i'm a broccoli cheese snob). Generous portions left me without room for their yummy looking deserts. BF said the hot brown was great, and it tasted good to me, although I havent had any others to compare it to! Good prices for the amt and quality of food. Afterwards we walked down to the little river walk and enjoyed the sunset. If you aren't from this area, its worth the drive. If you are from here, you're hopefully lucky to be able to eat here frequently!

25 of us had dinner at Chan's Wednesday night and it was wonderful. I had the catfish, my husband had the ribeye, and our other table mates had the Cobb salad and the pork chop dinner. Everyone had rave reviews. By the way, the tomato bisque is delicious.

Friday night at 6 pm - about half full - quickly seated, wait person was prompt, efficient, friendly; she had the alfredo with vegs and I had the almond crusted tilapia. Beer and wine were cold and good; table bread excellent and warm. Crisp salad with what appeared to be home made bleu cheese dressing. Best tilapia ever - alfredo quite good. Nice atmosphere, best $40 we've spent on dinner in a long time.
